00:08to hospital. The blaze broke out just before 7.30 last Friday on the fourth floor of a five-storey
00:14building on Constitution Hill in Hockley. West Midlands Fire Service tackled the fire for more
00:20than eight hours, damping it down by mid-afternoon before crews remained overnight. Constitution Hill
00:26was closed in both directions during the response, but has since fully reopened. Additionally,
00:31two budgies were rescued from an unaffected part of the building and later reunited with
00:36their owner, firefighters said. The investigation into the cause is continuing, according to
00:42the fire service.
