00:00People will buy tickets to see Medusa, and then the difference is just like instead of one of us, it's the three of us.
00:07Our goal is to evolve the music every year, but still keeping the Medusa signature on it.
00:13So the set in Asia is going to be different than the set in Barcelona, then it's going to be different than the set in Ibiza.
00:20Milan, studio.
00:21Finally.
00:22Preparing the live show for next year.
00:25It's something that I think it was missing in the Medusa project, because until now we've been just like DJing me and Simone.
00:36But it wasn't just like giving the people the full setup, the full Medusa setup that we have in the studio, so the three of us.
00:44So we decided to just like bring everything we have in the studio on stage for the live and for the people.
00:55And we've been trying to do a few things in the last few years, and we came up with the idea for the Ibiza residency last year.
01:08And we started with that and feedback from the people was really good.
01:12So we decided to bring this outside Ibiza and started just like touring Asia, Europe and the US with a full live setup.
01:21Yeah, I mean, it's just like, you know, three was the easiest thing to represent what exactly is on stage, three of us.
01:30So it was like the easiest name to find and to remember for the project, because we still wanted to have Medusa as a main thing.
01:42Because, of course, what's going on stage, no matter if it's like a DJ set or a live show, it's still Medusa, we're still going to play Medusa stuff.
01:52So people will buy tickets to see Medusa.
01:56And then the difference is just like instead of one of us, it's the three of us.
02:00Basically, the reality is that the idea behind is still a DJ set on the bass, because Matt's still playing as a classic DJ set.
02:10But performing live is the thing that, let's say, makes the difference.
02:15Because, you know, we can perform live on top of the other records, make it a special version, longer, shorter or just different.
02:24You know, playing together and creating, following the vibe, the crowds, also because, you know, sometimes the crowds follow you in a way and you keep going in a loop, building up and then go away.
02:38And it's our mission is create a magic special moment.
02:43And instead of the classic DJ set, during the our iconic vocal, we play under the vocal and we just trying to communicate me and Luca to bring the people in our energy and then Matt pushing on the draw.
03:06It's a different vibe because, you know, when you play a big festival, you're in a big lineup in festivals, you're just part of a big event.
03:16And then you just do your own show and you present your thing, your music to the to the audience of that festival.
03:25When you have a headline show, like people is buying tickets just for you.
03:29So they want to just like create a more intimate connection with you.
03:34It's just like more like a DJ set, the difference between a DJ set in a club and in a festival.
03:39Oh, yeah, definitely.
03:40And also and also like the fact that it's the three of us and the full team behind touring together is completely different than normal that we just like touring with the tour manager and video maker.
03:53So it's going to be definitely a great experience and a great opportunity also like to do different experience meeting different people, different cultures and create music altogether around the world that it's like taking inspiration from not only when we are in the studio, but also like from what's it's surrounding us outside.
04:17Yeah, it would be similar, but not the main thing of a show because more people to focus in.
04:26I mean, I know now, like the visual thing is a kind of trend and everybody is just like taking attention to what's happened on the visuals.
04:39So but we want people to be like connected with us and to be like focused on the music journey.
04:48So they need to so the visual will be similar, but the main intention would be on music and on the connection we create like playing the music that we have.
05:01Probably will be more like camera on the instrument or also on the crowds because, you know, just to, you know, that that's why.
05:08Yeah, that's why like most of the visuals in Ibiza were just like us or especially them performing live.
05:16So everybody from the crowd can see them.
05:19I think it's still like something big in the in the market because every time we play these songs is still actual is still not saying a new sound, but it's still something that you it's really hard to find somewhere else.
05:36So at the beginning, we didn't want to just like following the trends and trying to copy somebody else's.
05:43And so we just wanted to create something unique.
05:45That's what we did with the sound signature that we have in every song.
05:50And still now, I think people when they listen to Medusa songs, they can recognize it's us behind that, even like if they don't see the name on the on the title, because we always try to not saying be unique because it's quite impossible.
06:09But just like being recognizable and being different and trying to give them something they cannot listen somewhere else.
06:20Music is changing really fast.
06:24So what we're trying to do every time we go to the studio is just like taking inspiration from what's new and see how can we evolve our style, our sound into a new journey, into a new trend.
06:42And how can we adapt what we are making in the studio to new things, because of course, like the music that we're making this year is not the same that 2018.
06:54So it's just every year there's something different in music where we can take inspiration from.
07:02So our goal is to evolve the music every year, but still keeping the Medusa signature on it, still still making music that people like and people can sing.
07:17And our goal is to make music for the people to enjoy it in every moment, no matter if they are in the club or during the day.
07:25If it's just like have fun and have a special moment when they listen to our music.
07:32So as long as we can do that, that's that's our biggest goal as a musician.
07:38Yeah, definitely, definitely new music.
07:40I don't think it's going to be an album because I don't think it's the moment for us to release an album, but definitely a lot of new music club side or radio side.
07:51So both we're still we're still working these days on something new that we're going to present to the to the people with the new live show.
08:00So they just have to be there and listen to the new music.
08:06As we said, definitely new music, new moments.
08:10I think we just like not saying we want to create a different show for every place we go, but we're definitely going to adjust the set based on where we play.
08:25So the set in Asia is going to be different than set in Barcelona, then it's going to be different than the set in Ibiza.
08:31That's why we have the DJ set into the live show, because wherever we are, based on the venue and based on the mood of a crowd, we can change the set and not have the same track list every every time.
08:47So even like if you want to come to Barcelona and then come back to Ibiza, you're going to listen to different two different shows.
