00:00Indonesian authorities have recovered the body of one of the 10 people on board a plane that crashed in South Sulawesi on Sunday.
00:09Search and Rescue Mission Coordinator Mohamed Arif Anwar said the body is believed to be that of a passenger from the Indonesian Air Transport, ATR-42500 aircraft, which was reported missing on Saturday.
00:22The body was found at around 2.20 p.m. local time on the slope of Bulusarong Hill in Maros Regency, near the location where aircraft debris had earlier been discovered.
00:33The aircraft, carrying seven crew members and three passengers, lost contact with air traffic control around noon on Saturday while flying from Yogyakarta to Makassar.
00:43Indonesia's Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries confirmed the aircraft was its patrol plane, operated by Indonesian Air Transport and registered as PKTHT.
00:55Rescue teams have also identified the location of the aircraft's engine and found additional debris, including parts of the airframe and passenger seats.
01:04Search operations have been hampered by difficult terrain and severe weather, with heavy rain and thick fog reducing visibility to about 5 meters at the summit.
