01:53You okay?
01:59Never better
02:03Never better
02:14I didn't cut many scenes from this film. I think that the script was very very tight. It was a short script probably 95 pages and
02:23And, um
02:25They all just seemed to work. I mean here's a scene that happens after, um
02:31Where you freak out?
02:33Jacob, uh, shoots, uh, the kid Kenny
02:36So I just felt that
02:38With
02:40A scene like that and with that hanging over
02:44For the remaining movie
02:46It just felt like I needed to get to the ending a lot faster
02:49Uh, and also her story is pretty much, uh, mainly here
02:54Her story is pretty much resolved with the kind of a bit of a realization or awakening of her mother
03:02And also, uh, finalizing his story as well of why he was doing what he was doing and understanding his pathology
03:17I love this scene. It's always sad to see it go, but, uh, I felt it was important to get to the ending quicker
03:23Uh, the next scene here is the actual, uh, original ending from the film
03:40And Maylee senses that something is wrong
03:43In Jacob
03:44And Jacob covers up for it and suggests that everything is-is-is fine
03:48But I just-we just ultimately felt that that ending didn't really speak to what the meaning of the movie
03:57And what the boy ultimately, um, the burden that he has to carry
04:03It felt bleak
04:05And I didn't want to leave on a bleak moment
04:08I wanted to leave on a more cathartic kind of, um, emotional note
04:18The whole time, um, the difficulty in doing something
04:22The hardest thing we can do is to leave you all together
04:26Up to the floor
04:27The largest loss we can do
04:28From the floor
04:30The only thing we can do is we can do
04:32And we have a better off
04:33Of the spine
04:35Other things we can do
04:36The only thing we can do
04:38Is that we can do
04:40And we can do
04:42Is that we can do
04:43We can do
04:44And we can do
