NA LCS 2015 Zikz At one point we [CLG] started trolling
Transcript
00:00Hey guys, Liangx here with SKGaming, joined by Zeeks, not Zeeks, of CLG Analysts, stepping
00:15in for Coach Skara.
00:16Congratulations on your win.
00:18After that win, I kind of wanted to get this interview because not a lot of people get
00:22the limelight as you do.
00:24You look good up on that stage, I hear that you get some, you know, this is obvious, you
00:30know.
00:31How do you feel about that win?
00:33It's pretty good.
00:34It was an all-around solid win.
00:35At one point we started trolling, which was pretty bad.
00:39We were shooting Jinx rockets at fountains, we were diving in 1v4, it was just an awful
00:44time.
00:45But other than that, it was like a really solid win for us.
00:48We were, we were kind of unaware of what they would play because like we haven't seen much
00:55of them as far as their top laner, their jungle goes because they've only played two games.
01:00So we weren't fully aware of how they would route, like all of that stuff.
01:04So it's, it was a bit of a disadvantage going into the game, but I think in general we did
01:09really well.
01:10So, Coach Skara is coming back next week.
01:13Are you gonna miss being on stage and looking, you know, these tips from the Vest boys?
01:20I don't know.
01:21Um, I mean, I'll, I guess I'll miss it.
01:24I'm not sure, like I've never experienced it yet, so we'll see.
01:28But yeah, I'm probably gonna be wearing the same thing anyways, because I'll be there and
01:32I'll probably go on stage after the game.
01:34But I think before the game, I think Skara will do a fine job, probably if not even better,
01:39because, I mean, my main focus isn't necessarily draft, even though I do play a large role in
01:45it.
01:46It's mostly Skara and Link that go over that.
01:49So I think they'll do even better.
01:52All right.
01:53Um, did you have any say, like I know this, this season coming in, you guys have two huge
01:59major roster changes, um, and keeping Link and keeping all the other players.
02:04Did you have any say in that?
02:06Uh, yeah, definitely did.
02:07Uh, we did extensive tryouts on a bunch of other applicants and we decided definitely
02:13that those two were the best.
02:15So now that you guys actually have multiple teams and investing in a whole bunch of other
02:19COG, uh, teams, do you have any say in like COG black, I guess, or COG, the, the COGB team,
02:27uh, do you work, uh, extensively well with that?
02:30Uh, I haven't really worked with them too much.
02:32I've helped them a little bit in trying to find an analyst for them, uh, trying to find
02:35a coach for them.
02:36Um, I've helped them in some scrim blocks.
02:38Uh, it's very, it's not a lot that I've done because I'm really busy helping the main team
02:43because obviously that's my main focus.
02:45Yeah.
02:45Cause it's kind of important.
02:48Uh, yeah.
02:49So they bring you in a couple of months ago and not a couple of months ago, but a while
02:53back.
02:53Uh, I want to know what's your, since Kelby left a while ago for GG, um, what's the relationship
03:00like with Matt Calm, Skara, the organization and George hotshot, GG, of course.
03:05Yeah.
03:06Everyone's really friendly towards each other.
03:08Like, I, like we're trying to model our team, like our team after friendship, like this split,
03:14which sounds really cringy and really rainbows and butterflies.
03:18And, but like in reality, like I think it's ideal.
03:22Cause like, if you look at like, I don't know, like Dignitas, for example, I mean, I don't
03:26want to bash Dignitas, but as a team, they're kind of falling apart because a lot of their
03:31team was just like brought in rather than like, you know, being a group of people who can
03:36communicate like well with each other and like stuff like that.
03:39So I think it's really important and I think that it's working out really well for us.
03:44So do you only mainly focus on the gameplay and analytical side, or do you focus on, I
03:49don't know, being a life coach as well?
03:52Um, a little bit, like we come up with constant, like constant problems, like on a daily basis.
03:58So, I mean, whatever we really need to fix, it's not always gameplay.
04:02It's not always like outside of game stuff, but we always come up with a way to fix it.
04:08And we've been pretty, pretty good about it.
04:09I think me and Scar are doing like an excellent job this split.
04:12So with that being said, uh, I want to know, I asked a couple of different coaches because
04:19a community doesn't know exactly like the responsibilities of coach.
04:23What I want, really want to know is how do you keep, let's say a world-class player, a,
04:29you know, double it for instance, and, uh, all these other players that potentially, you
04:33know, you could be diamond, you could be, you know, bronze, whatever.
04:36However, how do you get them to gain your respect?
04:40I guess.
04:40Uh, it, it takes a lot of time.
04:42I got to say that it takes a lot of time and showing them that you have the knowledge and
04:47you are capable of helping the team and helping the team improve.
04:50And I think before it's, it, it was pretty hard to gain respect, but after like so much
04:56time and so much like of you showing them how you think, like how you prepare, how, how
05:01hard you're willing to work for something, then they give you like the utmost of respect
05:06and it's, yeah, it's really good.
05:10All right.
05:10Do you have any, uh, shout outs?
05:12Uh, just shout out to all the fans.
05:14Um, yeah.
05:17Thanks for supporting us.
05:19And I hope we, what?
05:2117-1?
05:2217-1?
05:22Yeah.
05:23Yeah, something like that, right?
05:2317-1.
05:2417-1.
05:25That's the future expectation?
05:26The dream.
05:2617-1.
05:27Win all-stars.
05:28Actually, no, no, no PR bullshit, no potential stuff.
05:31Like what's the future expectations?
05:3317-1.
05:33All right.
