00:45But when you have to fight at home just to be yourself, that was the hardest part growing up gay.

00:50When you're a teacher in a school, you feel like the world is right here in this building.

00:54Despite a lot of the stuff that terrifies me in the world right now,

00:57every personal human experience that I've had has deepened my faith that everything's going to be okay.
