00:22Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions,
00:40Io Sky and Rhea Ripley!
00:49Hello everyone at ringside tonight.
00:51I'm Michael Cole, joined by Wade Barrett.
00:54And Wade, set your eyes on the brand new Women's Tag Team Champions.
00:59Yes, indeed.
01:00Freshly clad in some new hardware after defeating their mortal enemies,
01:05the Kabuki Warriors last week.
01:08Shining, sparkling, and this week after you've won gold in WWE,
01:14always feels like a honeymoon, a time for celebration.
01:19But never forget, when you do have gold, Cole, there are threats lurking in every corner.
01:25It is a relationship between Rhea Ripley and Io Sky that has just developed over the past number of months.
01:32It all started when Io Sky had problems with her former best friends and Asuka and
01:37Kairi Sane and the Kabuki Warriors.
01:39Rhea Ripley would come to her aid on a number of occasions and
01:42finally able to team up to bring the Tag Team Championships to their team.
01:49Yeah, I'd say if you are a woman in the WWE locker room and you need some backup like Io Sky did,
01:56there could be no better person to fill that spot than Rhea bloody Ripley.
02:19Düsseldorf!
02:32Welcome to Monday Night Rio!
02:39So for weeks now we've been battling not only physically but
02:50mentally with the Kabuki Warriors and we have finally put them in their place.
02:58Cuz I'm proud to tell you all that you are now looking at the new
03:05WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.
03:12.
03:20.
03:25.
03:30.
03:33.
03:35.
03:36.
03:37.
03:38.
03:39.
03:40.
03:41.
03:42.
03:43.
03:44.
03:45.
03:55.
03:57.
03:58.
03:59We are
04:06And guys the party it is just getting started because we are here to lay down a challenge to any tag team
04:19Say no ball yeah, why wait?
04:29Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez of the Judgment Day.
04:34Two former tag champs in their own right, Michael Cole.
04:39Excuse me, excuse me.
04:42Hi, Io.
04:44Hi, Rhea.
04:46Hi.
04:48Long time no see, buddy.
04:50You look good.
04:53Well, Roxy and I just wanted to come out to congratulate you guys.
04:58Last week, you guys won the Women's Tag Team Championships, and wow.
05:05What a reason to celebrate.
05:07So come on guys, let's give another round of applause for Rio.
05:10So cool.
05:16It's so cool guys, so cool.
05:19But, my only problem is those guys are so
05:28those still belong to me.
05:31I am one half of the greatest women's tag team champions of all time, and
05:37I never lost my title.
05:39So, we could do things the easy way, and you guys can give me my titles back.
05:46Or we could do things the hard way, and I will take my titles back.
05:52Let's go.
06:01Well, not so fast.
06:02Bayley and Lyra Valkyria now marching to the ring.
06:06And this is interesting, Wade, because Lyra Valkyria throughout the week on
06:10social media, very upset that she believes her and Bayley have not been
06:16taken seriously as a tag team by anyone in WWE.
06:20Well, these are two women that have constantly been within touching distance
06:24of Cole, but haven't quite got over the line.
06:27Ding dong.
06:28Welcome back, live Morgan, great to have you.
06:34Excuse me while they sing for me real quick.
06:35I love you, Dusseldorf! Thank you so much!
06:50See, I'm very loved here, Liv. I'm also very good because we know that you didn't lose
07:04the tag team championships, but you know who did?
07:08Your little tag partner right there did lose the tag team championships.
07:13And if I'm not mistaken, I beat Roxanne just a couple weeks ago on Raw.
07:21So I think that if anyone deserves a tag team title opportunity,
07:28it's these cool guys right here with their brand new gear.
07:33Bayley and Lara Valkyria!
07:36What's about that, Germany?
07:42Like I said, Bayley, we're here laying down a challenge for anyone.
07:49Rhea, I got this.
07:55Wait a minute! The Kabuki Warriors!
08:00The former champs clearly taking that loss incredibly badly.
08:05Taking out the tag champs outside the ring and now staring down a ring full of potential
08:10challengers for the tag titles.
08:15And here we go and the ball is underway.
08:19This is exactly what Gosseldorf came here for tonight, a big old scrap in the women's tag division.
08:24In the women's tag division.
08:25In the women's tag division, Wade, we've talked about for many weeks now, heating up with teams from both Raw and SmackDown,
08:29vying for position and an opportunity in the gold.
08:34The gold held by these two women picking themselves back up.
08:41While the melee in the ring continues.
08:44Yeah, Rio is not gonna take that line down after being taken out by the Kabuki Warriors and now the tag team champions
08:49laying waste.
08:50And Rhea and Io standing tall.
08:52And Rhea and Io standing tall.
08:55And now the tag team champions laying waste.
09:00And Rhea and Io standing tall.
09:05kind of lying down after being taken out by the Kabuki Warriors.
09:08And now the Tag Team Champions laying waste.
09:11And Rhea and Io standing tall.
09:18As all the other teams squabble for
09:23second place, it is clear which team runs this tag division.
09:28Rhea Ripley and Io Sky, the women's Tag Team Champions.
09:33Hey, let's head back to Jackie Redman with a special interview.
