England’s World Cup matches could be screened on large outdoor displays at Everton’s new waterfront stadium this summer. The Three Lions begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign on June 17, facing Croatia in the United States.

00:00Everton has received approval from Liverpool City Council to stage outdoor events at the
00:09site including concerts and Christmas markets. The space surrounding the stadium is capable
00:14of holding crowds of around 13,000 people. The 52,769-seat stadium at Bramley Moor Dock
00:23has already been selected to host the Rugby League Ashes Test match in its first season
00:28and will stage Everton's initial home matches following the club's departure from Goodison Park
00:33after 133 years. A licensing hearing at Liverpool Town Hall was told that the club's founding partner
00:41and official beer provider Budweiser could look at stage events at the venue during the summer.
00:47Budweiser was among the first brands to partner with Everton following the move to Bramley Moor Dock
00:53and supplies drinks on match days including Budweiser. The outdoor plaza carries the Budweiser name.
01:03David Crank, a licensing agent representing Everton, told the hearing that the company would consider
01:09screening World Cup matches across three open areas around the stadium with an event management
01:14plan put in place if approved. Because of the time difference between the UK and the United States,
01:20England's matches are scheduled to kick off at 9pm and 10pm.
