00:09Awards in an Instagram post late on Tuesday.
00:12Schumer, who co-hosted the ceremony with Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes, first made a light-hearted
00:17plug for her Hulu show Life & Beth before becoming serious and addressing the incident
00:22that saw Smith storm on stage and slap Rock following a joke aimed at Jada Pickett Smith.
00:28She wrote,
00:29Still triggered and traumatized.
00:30I love my friend Chris Rock and believe he handled it like a pro.
00:34Stayed up there and gave an Oscar to his friend Questlove and the whole thing was so disturbing.
00:39She continued,
00:40So much pain in Will Smith.
00:41Anyway, I'm still in shock and stunned and sad.
00:44I'm proud of myself and my co-hosts but yeah, waiting for this sickening feeling to go away
00:49from what we all witnessed.
00:51On Monday, Smith posted a public apology to Rock on social media.
00:55Rock has yet to publicly respond to the incident but the comedian has decided against pressing
01:00charges.
01:01Earlier on Tuesday, the Academy confirmed that it will conduct a formal review that
01:05will take a few weeks.
