00:34Razor, the Bruins are streaking again. I feel like we've said that in both directions a lot this year.
00:39Ah, streaking good, streaking bad, streaking good. So good streak here. Couple shutouts here.
00:45Beyond the obvious, if the other team doesn't score, they can't win. What are they doing well these days?
00:50Life is good again. This league's nuts. It's crazy. And it's happening to everyone on the schedule. We've all talked about it.
01:01But what the Bruins are doing really well right now, this week, the last eight days since we've talked, is they've stayed out of the box.
01:10They haven't taken any penalties or very few penalties, which has been a huge difference for them defensively and why they have back-to-back shutouts.
01:17But they focused on their details. Last week when we talked right before the Calgary game, they had a bad finish to the road trip, but they were starting to find their game.
01:26And we questioned or wondered what they were going to be like on this homestand.
01:30And they didn't carry the Seattle game in. They carried the games prior to that into this homestand and really had good details, really been patient and disciplined.
01:40And it's paid off with four straight wins.
01:44You know, Razor, that's the second six-game losing streak they've had, I think, this season.
01:50And you wonder, like, cracks would be revealed.
01:52They're not going to be able to – usually teams don't come out of it like they have.
01:56I mean, they're on a, what, a five-game winning streak now.
01:58I mean, what do you credit that to, the fact that they stay together, they don't panic?
02:03I mean, six games in a row from December 18th to December 29th, that can knock some teams back.
02:08But it doesn't seem to be the case for this team.
02:11No, they've done – whether it's the coaching staff and Marco Stern being a first-time coach,
02:17he's been able to really show that his consistency and his commitment to doing the right thing every day is paying off.
02:27The leadership of this team, of course, a lot of talk made about the captain and not having one see.
02:33I think they've proven that this group, the leadership group, and the character throughout the team hasn't needed that.
02:41They've been able to work through these bad spots.
02:44And I think it's just – it's really odd how the schedule can really flip for you one way or the other as well.
02:51You get on these bad streaks, and yes, last time it was on home, but those two back-to-back home games,
02:57it's just kind of weird and quirky within the schedule.
03:00So the way the game's set up and lineup can really affect the way you streak one way or the other.
03:07Yeah, both goalies have been playing really well the last week and a half as well too.
03:11Obviously, only three goals allowed combined, which is super impressive over the last four games.
03:16Do we – are we going to see – do you think we're going to see a little bit more back and forth,
03:22back and forth the way it's been Corpus Allo, Swayman, Corpus Allo, Swayman?
03:25Or do you think it'll go back more to that like three Swaymans for every two Corpus Allos?
03:31And, you know, and as far as Swayman goes, sort of like a follow-up.
03:35Do we have to just buckle up for this roller coaster the rest of the way, Razor?
03:39You know, he's ice cold one night and then on ice the next?
03:43No, well, I think – I think so.
03:47I think we'll see more Corpus Allo, especially the way he's played the last two starts
03:51because of the Olympics coming up.
03:54And Jeremy will be in the Olympics.
03:56I think he's going to play for Team USA.
03:58At some point, he's going to get an opportunity.
04:01So you're going to want to mix Corpus Allo in as much as you can.
04:04Now, before the break, Jeremy was playing fantastic.
04:08The problem for the goaltenders was they had those really bad two days at home.
04:14Jeremy against Vancouver.
04:15The next night was Ottawa where Corpus Allo played poorly.
04:18So they had two bad games.
04:20And those were really the only two bad games all season.
04:24Unfortunately for the two of them, they happened back-to-back and on home ice
04:27and on a weekend.
04:28So all eyes were on it.
04:30I think both guys have been really good out of the break,
04:33really good out of the reset.
04:34Corpus Allo played the first game, which is a tough game.
04:37They traveled day of, after the holiday.
04:40But he was the only player that showed up at Buffalo.
04:42And then other than the Seattle game,
04:44these guys have been really good over this time.
04:46So to answer that question, I think the goaltending has been very good.
04:51I think everyone's really happy, especially with Corpus Allo
04:53playing so well this past six days with Calgary and Penguins.
05:00And then we're going to see, because of that play,
05:03we'll see more of him between now and February 6th.

05:09Goal scoring hasn't necessarily been an issue, really,
05:12for the last couple weeks.
05:14Obviously, when you put 10 on the board, that helps to lift the numbers.
05:18But it has now, I believe, been 10 games since Morgan Geeky scored a goal.
05:23He's been stuck on 25 goals.
05:25I know he had a child.
05:26I may have taken a Morgan Geeky anytime goal coming back from the child,
05:30because I thought new dad thing was a thing, didn't happen.
05:33We did it.
05:33We all did.
05:34Yeah.

05:35So what's going on there?
05:37Why is he not scoring?
05:39Is he starting to feel the pressure?
05:41Is that a thing?
05:42If you're a goal scorer and you stop scoring for two, three weeks,
05:45does that really start to sit on your shoulders and pressure you?
05:49Yeah, it does.
05:50And it can.
05:51It doesn't look like he's playing with pressure, though.
05:54I thought he had a really good game last time out.
05:57I thought he moved well.
05:58I thought he was playing with confidence.
06:00Didn't look like he was pressing at all against the Detroit Red Wings.
06:05He hit a few posts in Vancouver.
06:06Obviously, when he left the game Saturday, missed Sunday,
06:11the baby Max comes on Monday, or you hear the story that he came on Monday,
06:17you're like, oh, okay, this could have been part of why his head was somewhere else
06:23the last seven, eight, nine days, where you have stuff going on at home,
06:27which all guys do.
06:30But then again, the other part of it is he's had as good of a year,
06:3512 months, as anybody in the National Hockey League has in a really long time,
06:40to be quite honest.
06:41To come from where he was to scoring the second most goals in a calendar year
06:45in the NHL behind only Nathan McKinnon.
06:48He was due for one of these.
06:49I think he's in the middle of it.
06:51I got him out.
06:52He's never scored.
06:53Seattle was the team he came from last, from Boston.
06:55He's never scored against them.
06:57So why not tonight instead of the baby bump after Detroit?

07:03Okay, Razor, there's rumblings of the Bees maybe being interested
07:07in trading for Calgary's defenseman Rasmus Anderson.
07:10I'm just curious what you think is maybe the most area of need for this team.
07:16It's still a ways away, March 6th, the trade deadline.
07:18But what do you think is the biggest need for this team?
07:22Yeah, that's a good question.
07:25I got to imagine.
07:27The thing is, everything's kind of working right now.
07:32And I would say a winger of some kind, a top six winger.
07:35But Husnodinov's doing a fantastic job with Lindholm and David.
07:40Geeky's on the third.
07:41They've really moved guys around.
07:43So maybe it is on the back end.
07:45With all the injuries that they've had, Hampus Lindholm's still out.
07:48Maybe you could find a little bit more depth there.
07:51This Rasmus Anderson thing, I mean, he's got to want to come here.
07:55He's got to want to sign a seven-year deal if he's going to come here.
07:58Like, there's a lot there.
08:00So I'm not sure, you know, how that works out.
08:04But in the end, to answer your question directly, I think that anything that will help this team with term and going forward, not just for a month and a half, would be on the table for this group.
08:16They have a lot of assets that teams like Calgary would want.
08:20So in that respect, you could imagine some kind of a deal being made at some point before or after the Olympics.
08:28Before we get into the obvious fanfare tonight and your excitement for Patriots-Texans on Sunday, I know you can't wait.
08:40Yeah, it's good.
08:41I mean, it's interesting, you know, like the Patriots have taken over, but the Bruins are doing their damnedest to make sure they stay relevant in the conversation, just like the Celtics, by playing some great representative hockey and basketball, respectively.
08:54But I wanted to get a quick Olympic update.
08:56I think we talked a couple weeks ago about how things over in Italy were in dire straits.
09:01Have they gotten any better, or should we be looking forward to, like, a crap show with that rink that isn't finished?
09:07No, it's going to be a bit of a circus.
09:12They did play hockey games on the ice last week.
09:14They had a bunch of people there watching.
09:16The ice was, from all accounts, okay.
09:20The dressing rooms aren't done yet, not even close.
09:22So the guys are not going to be in luxury.
09:25The practice rink.
09:26The big one for me now is the practice rink, because the practice rink isn't done, or wasn't done as of three days ago when people were in it and taking videos, and you could find those videos.
09:36It's not even close.
09:37And I'm curious how you're going to have men's and women's playing out of one rink.
09:43You need more than two rinks, and you can't just, like, show up to the local rink.
09:48It's the Olympic security, et cetera.
09:50So that practice rink better find its way to compatibility here in the next couple of weeks.
09:56But it certainly seems that the guys, the players, and the women are going to have some comical stories about what the accommodations in their locker rooms and around the building are going to end up being.
10:08It just seems like they're not going to get it all done.
10:11There'll be a lot of tarps up covering.
10:13So, Razor, they're going to retire Zidane O'Chara's number tonight.
10:17Is 620 when it starts?
10:19Is that what I'm hearing?
10:19That's what I heard.
10:20Yes.
10:21So that's like an hour and 40 minutes before game time?
10:24Is that normal?
10:24What's going on tonight?
10:25It's the night against the Kraken, too.
10:28Yes.
10:28So the big thing is to do the – they've kind of realized a lot of the NHL.
10:34Like, again, when I was here, I was here for Cam Neely's night and Tara O'Reilly's night and Ray Bort's night, and we would do it right basically like, all right, pull the red carpet up and then play the game.
10:44This way, they actually get people in the building.
10:47You do it at 620.
10:48The guys can come in.
10:49They're in their shorts or they're in their suit.
10:51They sit on the bench.
10:52They watch.
10:53Then you do the pregame routine, and then you play the game.
10:56It's kind of better for the home team than sitting on the bench in your equipment, watching the whole ceremony, than hopping over the boards and playing.
11:03So they do it earlier.
11:05You know, they get everybody in.
11:07They probably sell a couple more beers.
11:09You know, you always have to look to those respects when we're talking about pro sports.
11:15But for a player, it's much better to have it this way.
11:18You get to the rink, you see everybody, you get to be a part of the ceremony on the bench, but then you get to focus on your game rather than worrying about your game and doing the ceremony.
11:28We know how great he was, but does the uniqueness of him get lost sometimes?
11:33Because the combination of the size and the length of career and then all the stories about the Swiss Alps and the Tour de France and all that stuff.
11:42Is he one of the more unique athletes of the last, I don't know, 25, 50 years we've seen in any sport?
11:47No question.
11:50There's nobody else like him.
11:52You know, I guess you could, you can make somewhat of a correlation, I think, to Tom Brady in how crazy fitness, avocado ice cream, right?
12:06Like all that stuff.
12:07You could connect the dots there with the way they led in both similar ways.
12:15I think the way they changed the organizations are very similar.
12:20I'm not saying, you know, Tom Brady's Tom Brady, don't get me wrong.
12:23That's just different.
12:24But there are a lot of similarities between those two guys and how focused and laser focused and how they push their teammates and how they brought everybody along for the ride.
12:39I think there's a lot of comparisons to that.
12:41But the guy rides his bike 50 miles a day still.
12:45He's running marathons and Ironman.
12:48And at 6'9", it just adds a whole other craziness to it.
12:54All right.
12:54Well, enjoy the night.

13:02I want to get some credit for that because that's the first time in nine weeks.
13:06Nine weeks it's happened.
13:08We'd like to see you go on a streak like the Bruins, but to have a streak, you need to be right two games in a row.
13:13So what do we got tonight?
13:15Well, it's a lot to ask, but I feel very confident.
13:18Like the Bruins, you can't lose this game, right?
13:20Like I was telling a story this morning to the guys.
13:22I played the game against when Cam Neely's number was retired against the Buffalo Sabres.
13:26And Buffalo wasn't that good.
13:28It was this time of year.
13:29And we went down 2-0 early in that game.
13:31And I was playing.
13:32And I was thinking Cam Neely is going to come down and send me down to the minors if we end up losing this game.
13:38This better not happen in front of all of these alumni and Cam Neely and everybody else.
13:42So we did win that game.
13:44The Bruins are going to win this game.
13:46And I'm going to put them on a 5-3 victory.
13:51Ooh, I like it.
13:52Got some goals scored.
13:53A fun night.
13:54So, all right.
13:55Enjoy the ceremony.
13:56And then hopefully we'll enjoy a game that plays out like your prediction.
