Learn how to create a mini scroll bar widget or table chart in Google Sheets.

To add a scroll-down bar in Google Sheets, you can click on the cell where you want to begin your scrollable area, then go to "Data" in the top menu, and select "Data validation." Choose "List from a range" as the criteria and specify the range you want to make scrollable. To create a scrollable table, click on the cell you want to start from and then go to "Data" > "Data validation" again, but this time choose "List" as the criteria and provide the data range you wish to display in the table. If your scroll bar disappears in Google Sheets, it might be due to zoom settings, so simply check your zoom level and adjust it to see if the scroll bar reappears. To create mini-columns, you can use the "Split" feature by selecting a cell, going to "View" and selecting "Split," which allows you to split the current sheet into multiple resizable panes, effectively creating mini-columns for better data viewing and manipulation.

00:00In my previous video I demonstrated how you can create a mini scroll bar widget on Excel. Now
00:05I'm going to show you how you can do the same thing on Google Sheet here. First you're going
00:09to put your cursor on your data set table. Press ctrl a to select the whole data set table like
00:14this. Now you're going to click on insert chart and on the far right hand side you're going to
00:19change the chart type from column chart. If you scroll down we're looking for table chart like
00:25this. Click on it and you can see that it will create a mini table on your existing sheet here.
00:31You can resize this table by clicking and dragging on this handler here like this. The beauty of this
00:37is that when you make changes to your original data set table here let's say to something like
00:43that you can see that change here get propagated down to your table chart itself. Another benefit
00:48of using this table chart let's say if you click on it and press ctrl c to copy on the clipboard
00:53chart and go to any of your existing worksheet let's say this one here. Here you're going
00:57to press ctrl v to paste it. You can see that you can actually paste the same table chart on
01:03on a different sheet altogether.
