00:00Filipina tennis star Alex Ayala continued her impressive run against Croatia's Donna Vekic

00:05after claiming a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the rematch on Monday at the Kuyong Classic in Australia.

00:12The 20-year-old Filipina once again outplayed the 29-year-old Paris Olympics silver medalist

00:18following her win over Vekic just last week at the ASB Classic.

00:23The second set featured several tight games, including a marathon game that went to five deuces

00:29where Vekic momentarily closed the gap with a well-placed drop shot and an ace to make it a 4-3.

00:37Ayala responded by extending her lead to 5-3, but Vekic refused to back down,

00:42taking the next game to stay alive in the match.

00:45In the final game, a powerful forehand gave Ayala the edge before a string of unforced errors from Vekic

00:51allowed the Filipina to close out the match.

00:54The Kuyong Classic is an invitational tournament featuring some of the world's top tennis players

01:00and serves as part of Ayala's preparation for her main draw debut at the Australian Open later this month.
