00:00The government is hot on the trail of Charlie Atong Ang, the alleged mastermind behind a string of missing Sabongeros,

00:06as he continues to lay low from authorities.

00:09Consider the country's number one most wanted, officials warn he is armed and dangerous,

00:15and they are leaving no stone unturned to bring him to justice.

00:19Ryan Nesigas tells us more.

00:23Because of the continued hiding of the alleged mastermind in the missing Sabongeros case,

00:27Charlie Atong Ang is now considered by the Department of the Interior and Local Government or DILG

00:32as the number one most wanted person in the Philippines.

00:35He is accused of killing about, over and about, maybe about 100, over 100 missing Sabongeros.

00:44According to DILG Secretary John Vick Rimulya, authorities are continuously raiding his properties to serve the warrant of arrest.

00:51Among the properties already searched by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group or CIDG,

00:57are his houses in Pasig, Mandaluyong, Batangas and Laguna.

01:01There are properties, ma'am, na minamonitor namin.

01:05Some are under his name, some are not.

01:08Actually, mahabang po kasi ang panahon na paghahanda ni Mr. Atong Ang.

01:13That's why there are certain properties na nakagamit siya po ng dami.

01:19But we're continually monitoring.

01:22The DILG also considers him armed and dangerous.

01:26As a result, the PNP has ordered the cancellation of the licenses of his six firearms.

01:32Kahit sabihin na nakancel ang kanyang firearms,

01:34si Atong po ay bumibiyahe ng hindi kumukulang ng dalawang po ang bodyguard lagi.

01:42Sinay po yan sa marahas na pagharap sa mga otoridad.

01:47Sinay po yan sa marahas na paraan para masolusyonan ang kanyang mga problema.

01:51The government is determined to arrest Ang at the earliest possible time.

01:56In fact, the DILG has offered a 10 million peso reward for anyone

02:00who can provide information leading to his arrest.

02:03Yung 10 million na yan ay sapat na para sa akin na may hirapan siya magusto

02:10na bilihin ang kanyang kalayaan.

02:12The Bureau of Immigration or VI confirmed that Ang remains in the Philippines.

02:16Ang will also have nowhere to hide if he was already left the country

02:20as his name will be included in the list of fugitives under an Interpol Red Notice.

02:25Sa pagchecheck po namin, wala naman po siyang recent na departure sa aming record.

02:32So, dapat nandito po siya.

02:34Ang is facing charges of kidnapping with homicide and serious illegal detention

02:39in connection with the disappearance of around 34 sabongeros from 2021 to 2022.
