00:09:24And in the second half, I think it was a better performance from us.

00:09:27We had some very good, clear chances.

00:09:30But yeah, a second set-piece goal led to a Palace win.

00:09:33We were always talking about our personality.

00:09:36And so that always, let's go for a win.

00:09:38And the players are saying they have now implemented it.

00:09:40And they also want it.

00:09:41And I think, again, everybody who is close to Crystal Palace got the reward today.

00:09:47And I think this is just because the players went for the win.

00:09:51What was his message to you when you came on?

00:09:53You know, he said I was going to get a situation.

00:09:55So just to stay calm and I tried to do that.

00:09:57Talk me through that situation because you did stay very calm indeed.

00:10:00Yeah, you know, I saw Will, you know, win the header in there and he was coming over.

00:10:03And I just, yeah, it was a nice clean strike on my left foot.

00:10:06And obviously it was a bit of a weight with VAR.

00:10:07But happy to get the goal in the end, yeah.

00:10:09Yeah, it was well worth the weight for Eddie Nketiah and for Crystal Palace.

00:10:14A deserved win and a dominant performance from Palace.

00:10:17How did they do it, Alan?

00:10:18Well, there's a lot of talk about systems in particular in our league,

00:10:21whether you can play three at the back with two wing-backs in the Premier League.

00:10:25This is a team that can because it's, it's not, they haven't been beaten this season.

00:10:30They beat Manchester City in the FA Cup last year.

00:10:32They went head-to-head with Liverpool in the Community Shield, took that home as well.

00:10:36But they're very, very well coached.

00:10:38They're very well organised.

00:10:39And all the players are very comfortable in this system.

00:10:43And they're excellent at it.

00:10:44There's your centre-forward.

00:10:45There's your two 10s in Sar and Pino.

00:10:48And there's your two sitting midfielders, Kamada and Warton.

00:10:51Of course, you've got your two wing-backs who were also excellent again today.

00:10:55There's the first to go, Kamada.

00:10:57OK, he doesn't get the ball.

00:10:59But just watch the way the players move around and work of each other

00:11:03and know when to the trigger as to who goes, who's going to press,

00:11:07and then everyone else backs him up.

00:11:09Now, this is a really good move early on in the game.

00:11:13They get the corner from that, and then they eventually score from that corner from there.

00:11:19So, again, there's your guys who are sitting.

00:11:22There's your guys who are waiting to go.

00:11:24And no surprise again, the press is first from one of their sitting midfielders

00:11:28and say what you want about Kanata.

00:11:30He gets done off the ball there.

00:11:32But, look, they work it really, really well.

00:11:34Your two 10s, Sar and Pino, working well together and understanding each other.

00:11:38There's your two wing-backs making the pitch so big and so difficult for Liverpool to get back in.

00:11:45So you've got one wing-back, Mitchell, into the other wing-back there into Munoz.

00:11:49And Palace absolutely battered Liverpool in the first half.

00:11:53If it wasn't for Alisson, who made four or five magnificent saves, the game would have been over them.

00:12:00There's one of your 10s again.

00:12:01Look at the other midfielder running off him.

00:12:03And then, again, Kanata gets mugged off Mateta, and that's another fabulous save from Alisson again.

00:12:12Look at Munoz again trying to get into the box there.

00:12:15And this would have been such a clever goal.

00:12:17So well-worked, as I said.

00:12:19Everyone understanding the fantastic effort from Mateta.

00:12:22Really, really unlucky not to see it go in the back of the net.

00:12:26Kamata are there again, the sitting midfielder.

00:12:29Playing the ball through.

00:12:30How and when to play it with the pace.

00:12:33And it's just, as I said, they were absolutely outstanding.

00:12:36And here's the winning goal, which they deserved.

00:12:38And they make it so difficult for Liverpool to clear that ball.

00:12:41They don't let them settle at all.

00:12:43And that is a great finish.

00:12:44Nothing more than Crystal Palace deserved.

00:12:47They really have been absolutely superb.

00:12:49They're unbeaten this season, as I said.

00:12:51And if they can keep the vast majority of those players fit, then they could have a very, very exciting season.

00:12:59Unbeaten in 18 games in all competitions.

00:13:02They're on a fantastic run, Micah.

00:13:03This is not, and far from, a one-off good performance from them.

00:13:07They've been excellent for a while.

00:13:08They have been really excellent.

00:13:10I think, and I'll show them in his clips, how fluid they are.

00:13:14So when they go from, if it's a low block, and then the transition, it's really quick.

00:13:18Everyone knows where to be.

00:13:20And Alan made a really good point there.

00:13:21The trigger, when to go.

00:13:23So many times when we see teams play, they don't know when to go.

00:13:27They're sort of waiting, shall I?

00:13:29And then all this team are so well organised.

00:13:32And that comes from the manager, who is just brilliant.

00:13:34Don't forget, he won the Europa League at Frankfurt.

00:13:37He comes from decent pedigree already.

00:13:40But this team, it's just delightful.

00:13:42No fluke today.

00:13:43They deserved it.

00:13:44They were much better than Liverpool.

00:13:45And Liverpool, not at the races at all.

00:13:48What went wrong with their performance?

00:13:49They were all over the place, particularly defensively.

00:13:52The way Palace moved the ball, the way they closed down, they just didn't have an answer

00:13:56to that.

00:13:57Particularly the first half.

00:13:58We've seen them rip them up five or six times with really good play.

00:14:02And Liverpool, after so many errors, so many spaces that were allowing Palace to get on

00:14:06the ball and play at their tempo.

00:14:08As I said, if it wasn't for Alisson, it would have been four or five at half-time.

00:14:12Canati is starting to worry me a little bit.

00:14:15Him and Van Dijk have been a good partnership and have done really well together.

00:14:19But his individual errors at this moment in time, it's just making the back line look

00:14:24a little bit nervy.

00:14:26You know, Liverpool are always good in defence.

00:14:27Van Dijk, he always marshals the back line.

00:14:30But they give Palace too many opportunities for no actual reason.

00:14:34It was just being sloppy.

00:14:36And that's so unlike Liverpool.

00:14:37Yeah, and Crystal Palace, not a side you want to give any opportunity to take advantage.

00:25:15So, clearly, yes, I mean, he's had to wait four and a half minutes with the substitutions
