00:00:00the top flights only other unbeaten side and the only team to have beaten them in any competition
00:00:04this season. Mark Scott was at Selhurst Park. The irresistible force meets the immovable object
00:00:12although Liverpool have a good record here winning nine of their last ten league games at Selhurst
00:00:18Park. Palace have Ismaila Saar back from injury. He replaces Will Hughes in their one change from
00:00:25the win at West Ham. Saar scored in the community shield win over Liverpool and last season's final
00:00:32day draw at Anfield. Alexander Isak gets his first Premier League start for Liverpool with the Swede
00:00:38stepping in for the suspended Hugo Eketike. Florian Wirtz for Cody Gakpo is their other change from
00:00:46the Merseyside derby. Oliver Glasner says he doesn't care about having the chance to equal
00:00:52Palace's record unbeaten run of 18 matches today as their approach is never about avoiding
00:00:57defeat. Arrowed across by Van Dijk, red though by Mitchell and now Pino can pick this up.
00:01:07Pino flicked off for Mitchell who's blocked off well by Bradley.
00:01:14Mitchell looking to get the cross in but Bradley shut the door.
00:01:17Palace have been pretty handy from set pieces. Palace scored from a corner at West Ham last weekend.
00:01:28Camada's delivery here is decent and it's in! Ismaila Saar! Palace in front early on and
00:01:37Saar's at it again against Liverpool. Scored in the community shield win over Liverpool
00:01:44and the final day draw at Anfield. And the Senegalese scores again today.
00:01:52Back from injury and back in the goals.
00:01:58On the slot was unhappy. He thought that it should have been a goal kick rather than a corner.
00:02:05Might have come off Mitchell last.
00:02:07For the first time this season, Liverpool are behind.
00:02:16Oh, dispossessed Canate. It's Mateta now.
00:02:20That was Shampolik from Canate. It's Saar.
00:02:24It's nearly two!
00:02:26Pino denied by Alisson. Liverpool all over the place.
00:02:31Palace should really be two up here.
00:02:33Canate dispossessed. Mateta brought Saar into it, who spotted the run of Pino and going for goal.
00:02:41He put it too close to the goalkeeper and Alisson could make a comfortable save.
00:02:46Should really be doing better from there, Jeremy Pino.
00:02:51Gravenberg.
00:02:52Now Wirtz.
00:02:54Salah's on his bike.
00:02:55Isak up there as well.
00:02:56Wirtz has carried nicely.
00:02:59Salah popped across to Gravenberg nicely.
00:03:03Kamada on him and Kamada fouling him.
00:03:10Saboslai scored that stunner against Arsenal.
00:03:13He's an option here.
00:03:15It's Salah.
00:03:16It's into the wall.
00:03:17Gravenberg!
00:03:18Great save by Henderson.
00:03:23Gravenberg absolutely wallets that one.
00:03:27And I think Henderson did get a touch on it to keep it out.
00:03:31Look what.
00:03:33It's useful.
00:03:34Pino lets it run for Mitchell.
00:03:36And Mitchell...
00:03:38Munoz!
00:03:39Brilliant save!
00:03:40And the rebound over the top.
00:03:43Massive chance for Palace to put daylight between themselves and Liverpool.
00:03:48More damage done down that left-hand side by Palace.
00:03:51Look at the room for Munoz.
00:03:53Super stop from Alisson.
00:03:56Exciting week ahead for Crystal Palace as they play their first ever league phase or group stage game in Europe.
00:04:03They were up against Dinamo Kiev in the Conference League.
00:04:07Pino did really well there.
00:04:09Now it's Wharton trying to slip Mateta away.
00:04:12And Mateta is away from Canate!
00:04:15Alisson to the rescue again!
00:04:18Liverpool, an absolute shambles at the back so far.
00:04:23There's no way that Canate should allow Mateta to get there.
00:04:27But the Frenchman did.
00:04:29If it hadn't been for the Liverpool keeper, Palace might be out of sight already.
00:04:36Oh, through the centre here for Saar.
00:04:38Oh, he's now forced wide.
00:04:42Numbers arriving for Palace.
00:04:43Mateta on the edge of the area.
00:04:45Here he is.
00:04:45Let's it run for Adam Wharton.
00:04:47Wharton.
00:04:48Mateta!
00:04:50Oh!
00:04:50So close to a masterpiece from Mateta here.
00:04:59Alisson couldn't get near it.
00:05:01And it's just a couple of inches too far to the right.
00:05:04Krasnbeck.
00:05:08Krasnbeck.
00:05:10Dominic Suboslai.
00:05:14It's a cute ball in!
00:05:16And Henderson makes the save to deny Florian Vietz his first Liverpool goal.
00:05:22Beautiful ball in that from Suboslai.
00:05:25Such an awkward one to defend.
00:05:27Vietz should have stuck it away.
00:05:32Isak.
00:05:34Vietz pushed a bit too far wide for Alexander Isak.
00:05:38He still managed to find McAllister.
00:05:43And Isak is in!
00:05:46Oh!
00:05:47Well, he expected the net to bulge there.
00:05:50And for Alexander Isak to get his first Premier League goal for Liverpool.
00:05:55Wriggled his way into a very handy area.
00:05:58But then, when it came to the final effort, it's wider the post.
00:06:03If Palace can keep Liverpool at bay, it will end the Reds' scoring run.
00:06:07They've found the nets in all of their last 39 league games.
00:06:16Isak.
00:06:18Rolled back to Kerkhez.
00:06:20Gakpo going for it.
00:06:21Suboslai!
00:06:23Oh!
00:06:23Well, Salah tried to poke it in.
00:06:30And I think stopped it from going in.
00:06:33Suboslai's hit here is certainly on target.
00:06:38And Salah, in trying to divert it home, sends it over the top.
00:06:45Ryan Gravenberg.
00:06:49Trimpong.
00:06:50Back for Gravenberg.
00:06:54Oh, and could go anywhere.
00:06:56And it's in!
00:06:58Liverpool level!
00:06:59Federico Chiesa has come up trumps right at the end.
00:07:06Liverpool have had to be so, so patient.
00:07:09But eventually they have found a way through.
00:07:13Richard's clearance.
00:07:16Dropping for Chiesa.
00:07:17Lerma, who bundles in to the bottom of the net.
00:07:22Didn't catch it cleanly.
00:07:24But it did the job.
00:07:26And the champions are back on terms.
00:07:33Is there one last chance for Palace to snatch the win?
00:07:37Nketiah.
00:07:37Kyrgyz clears.
00:07:46Lerma holds it in.
00:07:49Hughes going for it.
00:07:51And Ketya!
00:07:52Pandemonium at Palace.
00:08:01The Eagles may well have snatched it right at the end.
00:08:07An extraordinary climax which might see the champions beaten.
00:08:13Well, is Nketiah onside when it comes off Mark Gay's head?
00:08:22That's the big question now.
00:08:26Selhurst Park holds its breath to find out whether this goal counts or not.
00:08:32The goal is good.
00:08:36And Crystal Palace are surely going to beat the champions.
00:08:43This is how close it was.
00:08:47It's all over.
00:08:50And Liverpool's 100% start is over.
00:08:54Crystal Palace are jubilant.
00:08:56After this, from Eddie Nketiah, defeats Liverpool in a truly dramatic finish.
00:09:09And Palace now remain the only unbeaten team in the Premier League this season.
00:09:18Palace deserve to win.
00:09:20They were much better than us in the first half.
00:09:23Could have been up 3-4-0 maybe.
00:09:24And in the second half, I think it was a better performance from us.
00:09:27We had some very good, clear chances.
00:09:30But yeah, a second set-piece goal led to a Palace win.
00:09:33We were always talking about our personality.
00:09:36And so that always, let's go for a win.
00:09:38And the players are saying they have now implemented it.
00:09:40And they also want it.
00:09:41And I think, again, everybody who is close to Crystal Palace got the reward today.
00:09:47And I think this is just because the players went for the win.
00:09:51What was his message to you when you came on?
00:09:53You know, he said I was going to get a situation.
00:09:55So just to stay calm and I tried to do that.
00:09:57Talk me through that situation because you did stay very calm indeed.
00:10:00Yeah, you know, I saw Will, you know, win the header in there and he was coming over.
00:10:03And I just, yeah, it was a nice clean strike on my left foot.
00:10:06And obviously it was a bit of a weight with VAR.
00:10:07But happy to get the goal in the end, yeah.
00:10:09Yeah, it was well worth the weight for Eddie Nketiah and for Crystal Palace.
00:10:14A deserved win and a dominant performance from Palace.
00:10:17How did they do it, Alan?
00:10:18Well, there's a lot of talk about systems in particular in our league,
00:10:21whether you can play three at the back with two wing-backs in the Premier League.
00:10:25This is a team that can because it's, it's not, they haven't been beaten this season.
00:10:30They beat Manchester City in the FA Cup last year.
00:10:32They went head-to-head with Liverpool in the Community Shield, took that home as well.
00:10:36But they're very, very well coached.
00:10:38They're very well organised.
00:10:39And all the players are very comfortable in this system.
00:10:43And they're excellent at it.
00:10:44There's your centre-forward.
00:10:45There's your two 10s in Sar and Pino.
00:10:48And there's your two sitting midfielders, Kamada and Warton.
00:10:51Of course, you've got your two wing-backs who were also excellent again today.
00:10:55There's the first to go, Kamada.
00:10:57OK, he doesn't get the ball.
00:10:59But just watch the way the players move around and work of each other
00:11:03and know when to the trigger as to who goes, who's going to press,
00:11:07and then everyone else backs him up.
00:11:09Now, this is a really good move early on in the game.
00:11:13They get the corner from that, and then they eventually score from that corner from there.
00:11:19So, again, there's your guys who are sitting.
00:11:22There's your guys who are waiting to go.
00:11:24And no surprise again, the press is first from one of their sitting midfielders
00:11:28and say what you want about Kanata.
00:11:30He gets done off the ball there.
00:11:32But, look, they work it really, really well.
00:11:34Your two 10s, Sar and Pino, working well together and understanding each other.
00:11:38There's your two wing-backs making the pitch so big and so difficult for Liverpool to get back in.
00:11:45So you've got one wing-back, Mitchell, into the other wing-back there into Munoz.
00:11:49And Palace absolutely battered Liverpool in the first half.
00:11:53If it wasn't for Alisson, who made four or five magnificent saves, the game would have been over them.
00:12:00There's one of your 10s again.
00:12:01Look at the other midfielder running off him.
00:12:03And then, again, Kanata gets mugged off Mateta, and that's another fabulous save from Alisson again.
00:12:10Ball in behind.
00:12:12Look at Munoz again trying to get into the box there.
00:12:15And this would have been such a clever goal.
00:12:17So well-worked, as I said.
00:12:19Everyone understanding the fantastic effort from Mateta.
00:12:22Really, really unlucky not to see it go in the back of the net.
00:12:26Kamata are there again, the sitting midfielder.
00:12:29Playing the ball through.
00:12:30How and when to play it with the pace.
00:12:33And it's just, as I said, they were absolutely outstanding.
00:12:36And here's the winning goal, which they deserved.
00:12:38And they make it so difficult for Liverpool to clear that ball.
00:12:41They don't let them settle at all.
00:12:43And that is a great finish.
00:12:44Nothing more than Crystal Palace deserved.
00:12:47They really have been absolutely superb.
00:12:49They're unbeaten this season, as I said.
00:12:51And if they can keep the vast majority of those players fit, then they could have a very, very exciting season.
00:12:57Not just unbeaten this season.
00:12:59Unbeaten in 18 games in all competitions.
00:13:02They're on a fantastic run, Micah.
00:13:03This is not, and far from, a one-off good performance from them.
00:13:07They've been excellent for a while.
00:13:08They have been really excellent.
00:13:10I think, and I'll show them in his clips, how fluid they are.
00:13:14So when they go from, if it's a low block, and then the transition, it's really quick.
00:13:18Everyone knows where to be.
00:13:20And Alan made a really good point there.
00:13:21The trigger, when to go.
00:13:23So many times when we see teams play, they don't know when to go.
00:13:27They're sort of waiting, shall I?
00:13:29And then all this team are so well organised.
00:13:32And that comes from the manager, who is just brilliant.
00:13:34Don't forget, he won the Europa League at Frankfurt.
00:13:37He comes from decent pedigree already.
00:13:40But this team, it's just delightful.
00:13:42No fluke today.
00:13:43They deserved it.
00:13:44They were much better than Liverpool.
00:13:45And Liverpool, not at the races at all.
00:13:48What went wrong with their performance?
00:13:49They were all over the place, particularly defensively.
00:13:52The way Palace moved the ball, the way they closed down, they just didn't have an answer
00:13:56to that.
00:13:57Particularly the first half.
00:13:58We've seen them rip them up five or six times with really good play.
00:14:02And Liverpool, after so many errors, so many spaces that were allowing Palace to get on
00:14:06the ball and play at their tempo.
00:14:08As I said, if it wasn't for Alisson, it would have been four or five at half-time.
00:14:12Canati is starting to worry me a little bit.
00:14:15Him and Van Dijk have been a good partnership and have done really well together.
00:14:19But his individual errors at this moment in time, it's just making the back line look
00:14:24a little bit nervy.
00:14:26You know, Liverpool are always good in defence.
00:14:27Van Dijk, he always marshals the back line.
00:14:30But they give Palace too many opportunities for no actual reason.
00:14:34It was just being sloppy.
00:14:36And that's so unlike Liverpool.
00:14:37Yeah, and Crystal Palace, not a side you want to give any opportunity to take advantage.
00:14:41Now, Manchester United travel to Brentford looking for back-to-back Premier League wins
00:14:46for the first time under Ruben Amorim.
00:14:48Jonathan Pearce, watch this one.
00:14:52Manchester United are looking for their first back-to-back league wins in a single season
00:14:56under anyone since May 2024.
00:14:59Brentford are seeking back-to-back league wins against them for the first time since 1937.
00:15:04Both need to turn a corner.
00:15:06Ango Atara returns to the Brentford team.
00:15:08And Aaron Hickey gets his first league start since October 2023, with Pinnock and Lewis
00:15:13Potter dropped to the bench and a change to a back-four.
00:15:16Manchester United have Matthias Cunha back in their starting line-up to help supply chances
00:15:21for Brian and Bumo on his first return to Brentford.
00:15:23And the goal is Czesko, who stays in.
00:15:25Ugarte replaces the suspended Casemiro.
00:15:28And Dallo comes back for Masrao, who's injured.
00:15:30Diallo is missing after a family bereavement.
00:15:32They've won two of their last three home Premier League games against United.
00:15:39As Mone is in their first six home league games against them beforehand.
00:15:44Now, here's space.
00:15:46Dallo for Manchester United.
00:15:48They've got an overload to the left-hand side.
00:15:49Played towards Cunha.
00:15:51Wasn't the best of passes.
00:15:52Passed that legs.
00:15:53Chance is gone.
00:15:54And Henderson looks long.
00:15:56And the flag momentarily has stayed down.
00:15:58Here's Igor Thiago.
00:16:00It's in.
00:16:01And the flag stays down.
00:16:04Well, he looks a mile offside.
00:16:09Manchester United thought that was a foul, by the way.
00:16:11This is a brilliant pass.
00:16:13Looking at that, he was onside.
00:16:15And sprinted away quickly to get five, six, seven yards clear.
00:16:19And banged it home.
00:16:21Offside is being checked.
00:16:22And the goal stands.
00:16:28Problem is for Brentford, and they know it.
00:16:31They've dropped eight points from winning positions in the Premier League so far this season.
00:16:37Can they get a good cross in here, Brentford?
00:16:41Collected away.
00:16:42Good work by Dallo.
00:16:45They look dangerous, Brentford.
00:16:49Dumbscarb with the corner kick beyond the far post.
00:16:51Said he about by Tudor.
00:16:52And the goalkeeper has to save.
00:16:53And save very well.
00:16:55To deny Van den Bergh.
00:16:57He's still in there waiting for a high cross.
00:17:01Manchester United are struggling here when the ball's in the air.
00:17:06So very nearly 2-0.
00:17:082-0.
00:17:08They get another dangerous ball in here from Henderson.
00:17:14And after that's an even better save.
00:17:19Collins can't quite believe it.
00:17:22Pushed up and over.
00:17:25Manchester United with a back five.
00:17:26They might as well have a back ten.
00:17:28They can't defend the ball in the air at set-pieces.
00:17:33Now Molli up forward.
00:17:35Igor Thiago did well.
00:17:36Here's Shada with his pace.
00:17:38Gets the dead ball.
00:17:38And Altec pushes it out.
00:17:40But it's back in.
00:17:42Igor Thiago gets his second.
00:17:43Gorkyber made a good stop from the first one.
00:17:49Just couldn't keep out the rebound.
00:17:53Manchester United are 2-0 down at Brentford.
00:17:59Utter dismay.
00:18:01No pointing.
00:18:02No directing.
00:18:03Will do any good if his defenders let him down.
00:18:08Out there by Van den Bergh.
00:18:10But here comes Manchester United.
00:18:12Ugarte.
00:18:13Dorgu has to race to get that.
00:18:15Should be.
00:18:16Could it be Kelleher's?
00:18:17Ooh, he's made a mess of it.
00:18:19Recovers.
00:18:19And again.
00:18:20But not the third time.
00:18:22Szczesko scores for Manchester United.
00:18:24It's his first goal for the club.
00:18:27Now Kelleher came for the cross and got nowhere near it.
00:18:31Brentford think he was fouled.
00:18:36Head of parry.
00:18:37Shot parry.
00:18:38And then banged home.
00:18:43Charder and Wattara have changed flanks for Brentford.
00:18:46Wattara's down here now.
00:18:49Oh, he's caught.
00:18:51He's caught.
00:18:52That's a high challenge.
00:18:54Mario Fernandes pleading innocence.
00:18:57There's a yellow card for the Manchester United captain.
00:19:00It's been checked for serious foul play.
00:19:02There's an impossible red card by the VAR.
00:19:04It's just a yellow.
00:19:07Confirm.
00:19:09Down the score.
00:19:11Looks to get Charder away.
00:19:13To take on Dalot.
00:19:14Who dug in deep.
00:19:16But Charder gets away from him.
00:19:17Pulls it back.
00:19:18Chance there.
00:19:19And a big chance for Wattara.
00:19:21To put the game to bed.
00:19:23Altai saves importantly again.
00:19:26But it should have gone in.
00:19:28Initial's a bit tame.
00:19:34Yoro bringing the ball up.
00:19:36That is what his manager wants the centre-halves to do.
00:19:39Cunha with the cross.
00:19:42And Mbouma was there.
00:19:43Was he pulled back in the middle?
00:19:46He certainly looked to me as if he was impeded.
00:19:48The referee's checking the assistant.
00:19:50Penalty giver.
00:19:51The cross from Cunha was early.
00:19:55There's the pullback.
00:19:56I don't think Brantford can argue really.
00:19:59And a yellow card for Collins.
00:20:02They're now checking whether that was a deliberate denial of a goal-scoring opportunity.
00:20:08It is a penalty.
00:20:09And only a penalty.
00:20:11Collins might have got away with that.
00:20:14It's four and a half minutes since the penalty kick was awarded.
00:20:17It's a long wait for Bruno Fernandes.
00:20:21Safe.
00:20:23He had to wait an awful long time.
00:20:27Good stop by Keller who read it.
00:20:31And it is not going Manchester United's way this season again.
00:20:41Mainu.
00:20:43Lapse of concentration.
00:20:44Let the ball run off him.
00:20:47Now can Brantford counter here decisively.
00:20:49Jensen.
00:20:51He's got Jormolyak up there with him.
00:20:53Thought about the pass.
00:20:54Goes for...
00:20:54Oh!
00:20:56Goodness me!
00:20:58He thought quickly what he was going to do.
00:21:01And he did it so well.
00:21:03And Brantford had the points.
00:21:05That's a scorcher.
00:21:07They countered so quickly after Manchester United did it.
00:21:10Here he is.
00:21:14He's got Jormolyak up there.
00:21:15Thought about the pass.
00:21:16Went inside.
00:21:17It's a clever run by Jormolyak to open up the gap.
00:21:20And bang!
00:21:22That was the result.
00:21:23And you are getting sacked in the morning is the talk from the Brentford fans to Ruben Amorim.
00:21:29And we know that the sacking season has dawned in the Premier League.
00:21:35And I think this sort of body language is not doing him any good.
00:21:42The camera caught you looking down several times.
00:21:44Were you looking at a monitor or were you just worried?
00:21:46No, that is something that if you pay attention to all the managers, you have some moments.
00:21:51So that is like a big brother.
00:21:52That has nothing to do with the game.
00:21:54I'm just looking down, thinking about the game.
00:21:57So that is normal.
00:21:58It was obviously quite dramatic at times.
00:22:00The nature of penalty goals.
00:22:02We are the usual, I suppose, in this day and age.
00:22:05But I think if you scrutinise the game and look at how we started first half, I thought we were very, very good.
00:22:11I felt it was a result we deserved, really.
00:22:13The decisive moment was the penalty save.
00:22:15Have you done your homework on him?
00:22:18Yeah, we obviously always do our work on that side of things before the game.
00:22:22Yeah, luckily it was able to come up the save.
00:22:24You comfortable in the job?
00:22:25Brenton Potter lost his job today, for example.
00:22:27You worried?
00:22:28I'm always comforted with the job.
00:22:30I proved that already.
00:22:31So I'm not concerned.
00:22:32That is not my decision.
00:22:33I will do the best I can in every minute that I'm here.
00:22:38So I'm never concerned about my job.
00:22:41I'm not that kind of guy.
00:22:43Well, he's not concerned about his job.
00:22:45But it was a 3-1 defeat.
00:22:46So let's talk, first of all, about what Brentford got right.
00:22:49Because they spotted Manchester United's weaknesses and targeted them very effectively.
00:22:54Yeah, they did.
00:22:55A lack of pace for Man United at the back.
00:22:57And they wanted to go in behind with long balls.
00:23:01And it was excellent.
00:23:02So Man United actually do very well here, breaking the lines and getting forward.
00:23:06But I just want you to look at Igo Thiago with Maguire there.
00:23:11And he doesn't go really deep to get the ball.
00:23:13His first four is kind of running behind.
00:23:15Maguire should go with him.
00:23:16He doesn't.
00:23:17He tries to step up.
00:23:19It's too late.
00:23:20Now he's got 10 yards.
00:23:22The only thing here is when he go forward, get in these positions.
00:23:25Can you finish and punish him?
00:23:27And boy, did he punish him.
00:23:29What a finish that was.
00:23:31Again, here.
00:23:32Look at Igo Thiago there.
00:23:34His first four is kind of running behind.
00:23:36Then Shada too.
00:23:37He knows, again, Man United's defence.
00:23:39Don't want to be in these positions.
00:23:41They're playing the three in the back.
00:23:42They don't know quite where to be.
00:23:45And just look at Man United.
00:23:46They all get attracted to the ball.
00:23:48And Thiago there waiting for a tap in if it falls his way.
00:23:53Lovely finish there.
00:23:55But this is the best one for me.
00:23:57In a low block.
00:23:58Because this is what you have to do at times when you're under pressure.
00:24:01But once they win that ball back, they know exactly what to do.
00:24:05One touch there.
00:24:06One touch there.
00:24:07And another one.
00:24:08Can he ride a challenge?
00:24:09Absolutely brilliant.
00:24:10Yama look.
00:24:11And then Jensen gets in these positions here.
00:24:14Goalkeeper probably should do a little bit better.
00:24:16Delew really should be getting it out.
00:24:18But they were just fantastic.
00:24:20They were.
00:24:20Keith Andrews and coming in.
00:24:22A lot of pressure on him.
00:24:24From a set-piece coach.
00:24:25Can he do it in the Premier League?
00:24:26But this performance today was outstanding from them.
00:24:30Absolutely the right approach from Brentford.
00:24:32Perfectly executed from their point of view.
00:24:34Manchester United may feel a little aggrieved about some of the decision-making there.
00:24:40Well, so they should actually.
00:24:42Yes, they got the penalty.
00:24:44But what they didn't get right, the officials, it should have been a red card as well.
00:24:49I mean, they get it right in terms of the referee's call.
00:24:53He gives a penalty for the pullback.
00:24:56But what they didn't get right is that they checked the referee's call of yellow card to Collins.
00:25:03And deemed that Mbwemo wasn't in control of the ball.
00:25:07Well, I mean, honestly, it's just a terrible decision.
00:25:10You can't be in control of the ball because someone's pulling him back.
00:25:14He's a yard from the ball.
00:25:15So, clearly, yes, I mean, he's had to wait four and a half minutes with the substitutions
00:25:20and for them to get to that decision, which hasn't helped him.
00:25:23But that's a mistake from him.
00:25:24He should put the penalty in.
00:25:26But they should have been sent off.
00:25:27There's absolutely no doubt about it.
00:25:28So, this is what Match Centre have said about the decision-making.
00:25:33They said that the referee's call of penalty was checked and confirmed by VAR.
00:25:36And that you have no problem with.
00:25:37Collins pulled Mbwemo back.
00:25:39VAR also checked the referee's call of yellow card to Collins
00:25:43and deemed that Mbwemo wasn't in control of the ball.
00:25:46So, what they're looking at is whether or not there was a genuine attempt to play the ball,
00:25:49which wasn't there, and whether there was a denial of a goal-scoring opportunity.
00:25:53But they're saying because Mbwemo wasn't in control of the ball,
00:25:57that it wasn't a goal-scoring opportunity.
00:25:58But you think they've got the order the wrong way around?
00:26:01Well, it has to be a red card.
00:26:03He's not in control of the ball because someone's pulled him back
00:26:06and he's, like, half a yard away.
00:26:07He's about to go on and hit the ball, as any forwarder would be.
00:26:10So, how can he be in control of the ball?
00:26:12He would be.
00:26:13It's just a terrible decision.
00:26:15And Man Utd have been punished for that, in a way,
00:26:18in terms of being up against 11 men instead of 10.
00:26:22And the game changed from there on.
00:26:24Alan hinted earlier on that we might be talking about this,
00:26:26which is the shape of Manchester United
00:26:28and the insistence of Amarim of staying with this particular shape.
00:26:32But I think maybe now we're going to criticise him
00:26:35for being maybe a bit too flexible within that shape.
00:26:38Yeah, but, I mean, it's different.
00:26:40He's not got the personnel to play how he wants to play.
00:26:44If you look at Alan and his piece beforehand
00:26:47and the shape and the structure,
00:26:48I just want to start with this.
00:26:50This is how they started.
00:26:51The late Maguire, Shaw, Agati, Fernandes,
00:26:54and the rest you can see.
00:26:56But I just want to move it on here.
00:26:59Menuh and Jorow come on from Maguire and Agati on 66 minutes.
00:27:04The Licks has gone from right to centre.
00:27:06Menuh's come in midfield, as you expect.
00:27:09And we move it on here.
00:27:11Now, Delick's in the middle.
00:27:15Jorow's gone all the way to the other side.
00:27:18Dallot's gone into the three at the back.
00:27:20And Buomo's gone into wing-back.
00:27:22And Mount's gone into number 10.
00:27:23That was on 81 minutes.
00:27:25Mount came on for sure.
00:27:27And now, four minutes later,
00:27:30Xerxes comes on for Dargu.
00:27:32Mount goes into wing-back.
00:27:33And Xerxes goes into number 10.
00:27:35I know as players,
00:27:36we're supposed to be adaptable and flexible.
00:27:40But how are you supposed to adapt to a situation
00:27:43when you're changing it constantly
00:27:45and sticking to the same formation?
00:27:47All he had to do is go to a 4-3-3.
00:27:50On the goal, what they conceded last
00:27:52is because Mbuomo was in a position
00:27:54where he doesn't want to be.
00:27:56Yes, he's played wing-back at Brentford before.
00:27:58But he's not a defensive player.
00:27:59You need him forward.
00:28:01And all these changes constantly
00:28:03are making it hard for the players
00:28:05to adapt to what he wants to do
00:28:06because of so many changes.
00:28:08Alan, very briefly,
00:28:09is Amorim under pressure?
00:28:11Oh, he's under massive pressure.
00:28:12I think the hierarchy at Man United
00:28:15have made that many errors
00:28:17since they've been into the football club.
00:28:18They cannot be seen
00:28:20to have made another one
00:28:22in appointing this manager.
00:28:23And I think he's very fortunate
00:28:24because of his win percentage.
00:28:27Intervio mentioned Graham Potter
00:28:28with 26% win percentage.
00:28:30Amorim's got 27% win percentage,
00:28:33even with the money that they've spent.
00:28:35So absolutely, he's under huge pressure.
00:28:37Now, the journey from Brighton to Chelsea
00:28:40is one well-travelled.
00:28:4215 people, including players, manager
00:28:44and backroom staff,
00:28:45have made the switch in the last three years.
00:28:47The teams met today at Stamford Bridge
00:28:50and Martin Fisher watched this one.
00:28:53Four of those 15 former players
00:28:55are in Chelsea's starting line-up today.
00:28:58Mark Kukureya, Moise Caicedo,
00:29:00João Pedro and Robert Sanchez,
00:29:03who returns in goal.
00:29:04His suspension incurred by that red card
00:29:06at Old Trafford,
00:29:07served in the League Cup
00:29:08away to Lincoln on Tuesday.
00:29:11Andres Santos makes his full Premier League debut
00:29:14in for the injured Cole Palmer.
00:29:16Wesley Fofana ruled out with concussion.
00:29:18Joel Arto deputises.
00:29:20After scoring four goals in their Cup win
00:29:22away at Barnsley,
00:29:24Diego Gomez is restored
00:29:26to Brighton's starting line-up.
00:29:28Maxime Decaupe fit enough
00:29:29to make the bench.
00:29:30by Saicedo.
00:29:37Now Pedro.
00:29:38And Eckert gets it away.
00:29:40Enzo closed down speedily by two,
00:29:42but it's a foul by Gomez.
00:29:46A little bit over-enthusiastic there,
00:29:48the Brighton duo,
00:29:49as they quickly look to pounce
00:29:51and dispossess the Argentine.
00:29:54Strange wall,
00:29:55as Enzo looks to bend it in.
00:29:56Good save by Verbrücken.
00:30:00There's a big gap in that wall,
00:30:01almost as though Verbrücken said,
00:30:03look, I want a clear view of this.
00:30:05It's actually over the heads of those
00:30:08to the left
00:30:10as Enzo hit it.
00:30:14Caicedo.
00:30:15Oh, it's a brilliant ball.
00:30:17James.
00:30:18Two in blue in the middle,
00:30:20and one of them is Enzo Fernandes,
00:30:22who heads home.
00:30:26Three goals this season now
00:30:30for the Argentine,
00:30:31whose first ever Premier League goal
00:30:34came against Brighton.
00:30:38Neatly constructed goal,
00:30:41and so much
00:30:42to do with this pass
00:30:43and this run off the ball
00:30:45by James
00:30:45in behind Kalioglu,
00:30:47and then it flicked off
00:30:49the defender
00:30:50invitingly
00:30:51for Enzo Fernandes.
00:30:52That's a heavy touch by Santos,
00:31:01and that's an even worse one.
00:31:02And Gomez looks to profit,
00:31:03and Gomez goes down.
00:31:05Brighton fell,
00:31:06there was a foul there
00:31:07by Chalabar,
00:31:08referee quickly says no.
00:31:10And disbelief
00:31:11amongst Brighton players,
00:31:13Brighton coaching staff,
00:31:14and Brighton fans.
00:31:15But it was clumsy from Chalabar,
00:31:17Gomez tumbles.
00:31:19Doesn't look very good,
00:31:21does it?
00:31:21And they are checking
00:31:24a possible red card
00:31:25for a denial
00:31:26of a goal-scoring opportunity here.
00:31:29That's how close he was
00:31:30to scoring.
00:31:31Chalabar was the last man.
00:31:34Well, the word
00:31:35from Darren England
00:31:37is for
00:31:39an on-field review here.
00:31:42And there you can see
00:31:43exactly what the referee
00:31:44is being given to view.
00:31:48He's had a
00:31:49good, long, hard look
00:31:52at this, Simon Hooper.
00:31:54And here's his announcement.
00:32:01After a view,
00:32:02there is a clear foul
00:32:03by the Chelsea number 23.
00:32:05Therefore,
00:32:07it denies
00:32:08not this goal-scoring opportunity
00:32:09resulting in a red card
00:32:11and a free kick.
00:32:14Well, somewhat inevitably,
00:32:16I think,
00:32:16Trevor Chalabar
00:32:17is dismissed here
00:32:19for denying
00:32:22a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
00:32:26Brighton have now
00:32:27been given a great chance
00:32:28to turn this game around
00:32:29because they've got
00:32:30the best part of
00:32:3040 minutes
00:32:32against 10 men.
00:32:34A real twist
00:32:35in the contest
00:32:35and the game
00:32:36can turn its head here
00:32:37if Brighton can equalise.
00:32:40It's Gomez to hits.
00:32:42What a waste.
00:32:44Never looked like
00:32:45failing to hit the target
00:32:46in the week at Oakwell.
00:32:48He's way off there.
00:32:58Mid-take.
00:32:58Oh, what a goal!
00:33:03What a terrific cross
00:33:04and you-know-who
00:33:05is on the end of it.
00:33:07Danny Welbeck.
00:33:09Minté,
00:33:10who's been
00:33:11such a live wire
00:33:12throughout the contest
00:33:13and Danny Welbeck
00:33:15off the bench
00:33:16to produce
00:33:17what his manager
00:33:18wanted him to.
00:33:19How about this
00:33:20for a cross by Minté?
00:33:22And Welbeck
00:33:23getting in behind
00:33:24Atiampong
00:33:25and it's a bullet
00:33:27header that gives
00:33:28Robert Sanchez
00:33:29no chance
00:33:30whatsoever.
00:33:32And they're not happy
00:33:33with just one.
00:33:34They want another.
00:33:35They want to go back home
00:33:36with all three points
00:33:37and the way this game
00:33:38is going at the moment
00:33:39you wouldn't be surprised
00:33:40if they do so.
00:33:46Carioglu.
00:33:48Good ball in.
00:33:49And the foot was high
00:33:50by Gusto
00:33:51on Minté.
00:33:53Brighton
00:33:53go to Simon Hooper
00:33:54again
00:33:55asking the question
00:33:56and VAR
00:33:58will check.
00:34:02Flicked on there
00:34:03by Jimas.
00:34:06Oh.
00:34:07Well, you can see
00:34:07by the reaction
00:34:08on the face of Gusto
00:34:09he fears the worst
00:34:10here.
00:34:12It's all
00:34:12kicking off.
00:34:14Badia-Shiel
00:34:15and dunk.
00:34:16Sanchez doing his best
00:34:17to try and separate
00:34:18those two.
00:34:18Best of luck
00:34:19with that, mate.
00:34:21So there's the connection.
00:34:23He's
00:34:24definitely looks as though
00:34:26he's missed the ball
00:34:27completely
00:34:27and caught Minté
00:34:29flush on the forehead.
00:34:33Well, the news
00:34:34from VAR
00:34:34is that the
00:34:36challenge by Gusto
00:34:37has been checked
00:34:38and cleared
00:34:39so we're not going to
00:34:40have a penalty
00:34:41for Brighton.
00:34:43And we've got
00:34:4411 more minutes
00:34:45to play.
00:34:47So I don't think
00:34:48the drama
00:34:49is over just yet.
00:34:51off goes Jimas
00:34:53across game
00:34:55and it's a corner.
00:35:04Corner taken short.
00:35:07Hayari.
00:35:10Deep post.
00:35:11Weeper back in
00:35:12and it's headed home
00:35:13Decaupe.
00:35:14Decaupe.
00:35:17Joy unconfined
00:35:18behind that goal
00:35:19for those Brighton fans
00:35:21as their former keeper
00:35:22is beaten for a second time.
00:35:25Curled in dangerously
00:35:26by Hayari.
00:35:28And when it's headed back
00:35:29across into the middle
00:35:30Maxime Decaupe
00:35:31who has been thrown on
00:35:34as one of Brighton's
00:35:35late changes
00:35:36who nods in
00:35:38his first ever goal
00:35:39in the Premier League.
00:35:40and with Chelsea
00:35:42down to ten
00:35:42you cannot see
00:35:43a way back
00:35:44from them
00:35:44from here.
00:35:48Just two minutes
00:35:49of added time left.
00:35:51And Chelsea
00:35:52have lost it
00:35:52cheaply again
00:35:53and Welbeck
00:35:54is in again
00:35:55to wrap it all up
00:35:55as he does
00:35:57quite splendidly.
00:35:58What a second half
00:36:03from Brighton.
00:36:05It's a horrible afternoon
00:36:06at the bridge
00:36:06for Enzo Mareska.
00:36:09A wonderful trip
00:36:10to West London
00:36:11for Fabian
00:36:12Ertzler
00:36:12and Brighton.
00:36:14Only their second
00:36:16ever win
00:36:16at Stamford Bridge
00:36:17and Chelsea
00:36:19again
00:36:19caught
00:36:20at the back
00:36:22and Welbeck
00:36:23with a
00:36:24sublime finish
00:36:25to just lift it
00:36:26above Sanchez
00:36:27and into the roof
00:36:28of the net.
00:36:30Chelsea 1
00:36:30Brighton 3
00:36:32Brighton's
00:36:33first points
00:36:34on the road
00:36:35this season.
00:36:36The first minutes
00:36:39we suffered
00:36:40then we conceded
00:36:41the goal
00:36:41and suddenly
00:36:42we started
00:36:43playing football
00:36:43suddenly
00:36:44we started
00:36:45being in the game
00:36:45we created
00:36:47afterwards
00:36:48chances
00:36:49we were better
00:36:50out of possession
00:36:51so overall
00:36:53I think especially
00:36:53after we conceded
00:36:55the goal
00:36:56we played a good game.
00:36:57Today we were
00:36:58first half
00:36:59in control of the game
00:37:00winning
00:37:00create chances
00:37:02we didn't concede
00:37:02nothing
00:37:03and second half
00:37:05after 5-6 minutes
00:37:06because of
00:37:07our mistake
00:37:08we were with
00:37:0910 players
00:37:10and again
00:37:11unfortunately
00:37:11the game changed.
00:37:13Managers often say
00:37:14they've thrown a sub
00:37:15and asked him
00:37:15to get them a goal
00:37:16and Danny Welbeck
00:37:17did it for you twice.
00:37:18Yeah I didn't ask him
00:37:19he did it himself
00:37:22so I'm very
00:37:23happy for him
00:37:24because he's
00:37:25always there
00:37:25he's a great leader
00:37:26and today
00:37:27he gets the rewards
00:37:28for all the things
00:37:29he's doing for us
00:37:30and for himself
00:37:31so I'm very happy for him.
00:37:33Well the red card
00:37:34certainly changed the game
00:37:35and it's the second time
00:37:36in a couple of weeks
00:37:37that this has happened
00:37:38to Chelsea
00:37:38having done it
00:37:39against Manchester United
00:37:40early on last week.
00:37:41Yeah they got punished
00:37:42last week
00:37:42and they've certainly
00:37:43been punished this week
00:37:44because the game
00:37:44completely changed
00:37:45on 53 minutes
00:37:46they eventually
00:37:48got to the
00:37:48right decision
00:37:50a sloppy touch
00:37:51there from Santos
00:37:52Chalaba
00:37:54on Gomez
00:37:55makes the challenge
00:37:56and it's clumsy
00:37:57and they eventually
00:38:00got to the
00:38:01right decision
00:38:03because there's no doubt
00:38:03that he's gone through
00:38:05and that is a foul
00:38:07I thought the referee
00:38:08was poor in this game
00:38:10today
00:38:10he didn't get that
00:38:10and he also didn't get
00:38:11the challenge
00:38:13on Gusto
00:38:13on Minta
00:38:15which was a clear
00:38:16high kick as well
00:38:17and should have
00:38:17been a penalty
00:38:18but that's the
00:38:19stats before the red card
00:38:21you can see there
00:38:23everything's changed
00:38:24and credit to
00:38:25Brighton
00:38:26for seizing on that
00:38:27and getting the
00:38:28three points
00:38:28that they probably
00:38:29deserved in the end.
00:38:30Because that's the point
00:38:31as well as Chelsea
00:38:32were doing
00:38:32and then they go down
00:38:33to ten men
00:38:34Brighton still had to
00:38:35break them down
00:38:36Micah
00:38:36how did they do it?
00:38:37Yeah I mean
00:38:37Danny Welbeck
00:38:39the experience
00:38:40he's a leader
00:38:40he's also a friend
00:38:42of mine as well
00:38:43so he won't mind
00:38:44me giving a little bit
00:38:45of credit tonight
00:38:46but he's got a really
00:38:48good attitude
00:38:49and that's what I like
00:38:50about him
00:38:51a lot
00:38:52he doesn't moan
00:38:54he doesn't sulk
00:38:55and when he comes on
00:38:56he tries to make a difference
00:38:58he gets a little bit
00:38:59unlucky on that one
00:39:00but it's his movement
00:39:02as well
00:39:02I remember playing
00:39:04against him
00:39:04when he was playing
00:39:05left wing
00:39:06and I always think
00:39:08he didn't really have
00:39:08all attributes
00:39:10for that
00:39:11but he was always
00:39:12going to be a striker
00:39:13and he's had a
00:39:14terrific career
00:39:15and boy today
00:39:16did he make an impact
00:39:17really
00:39:18really
00:39:19good performance
00:39:21from him
00:39:21and that's what
00:39:22they needed
00:39:22from the bench
00:39:23he came on
00:39:23the 67th minute
00:39:24and made the impact
00:39:26and the celebration
00:39:27too
00:39:27so I was delighted
00:39:28for him
00:39:28so Danny Welbeck
00:39:30gets the decisive goals
00:39:31in that game
00:39:32Enzo Maresca
00:39:33two defeats in a row now
00:39:36because of the history
00:39:38that Chelsea have
00:39:39with their managers
00:39:39is he
00:39:41and we've already
00:39:41asked this question
00:39:42about Amorim
00:39:42but is he under pressure
00:39:44Maresca?
00:39:44Look I think you know
00:39:45the rules
00:39:45when you go into Chelsea
00:39:46as manager
00:39:47you know that
00:39:48even if you
00:39:49are to lose two games
00:39:51you're going to be
00:39:51under huge pressure
00:39:52because of the structure
00:39:53that's set up
00:39:53and the expectation
00:39:54and everything else
00:39:55I doubt whether
00:39:56he's in full control
00:39:58of who comes in
00:39:59who goes out
00:40:00the length of contracts
00:40:01and all those things
00:40:02but you know the rules
00:40:03when you go into Chelsea
00:40:04you lose
00:40:04you might lose
00:40:05it shouldn't be under pressure
00:40:06at all
00:40:07I mean
00:40:07the last two games
00:40:09ten men
00:40:10hasn't it been
00:40:11he's won a club world cup
00:40:12you know what I mean
00:40:13he won a Europa conference
00:40:14he's got to win it
00:40:15finish in the Champions League
00:40:16positions
00:40:16I don't think he should be
00:40:18Nottingham Forest
00:40:20are yet to win
00:40:21under Ange Postacoglu
00:40:22while the visitors
00:40:23Sunderland
00:40:24have made a decent start
00:40:25to life
00:40:26back in the Premier League
00:40:27your commentator
00:40:28is James Fielden
00:40:29after letting Leeds slip
00:40:32in three of his first four games
00:40:34Big Ange needs a big first win
00:40:35in his debut
00:40:36Trentside
00:40:37Sunderland are looking
00:40:38to stick their oar in
00:40:39with none of the last 15
00:40:40promoted sides
00:40:41with eight points
00:40:42at this stage
00:40:43enduring relegation
00:40:44Morgan Gibbs-White
00:40:46is a surprising mission
00:40:47for Forest
00:40:47who are also without
00:40:48Douglas Luiz
00:40:49due to a hamstring injury
00:40:50Nicola Dominguez
00:40:51is over his knee problem
00:40:52as he and James McAtee
00:40:54make their first league starts
00:40:55Sunderland
00:40:57without the suspended
00:40:58Ray Nildo after his red card
00:40:59last week
00:41:00so Arthur Masuaklu
00:41:01starts in the league
00:41:02for the first time
00:41:03in the second youngest team
00:41:05it's captain Granit Xhaka's
00:41:0633rd birthday
00:41:07and last season's
00:41:08skipper Luko 9
00:41:09is back on the bench
00:41:10for the first time
00:41:11Alain Postacoglu
00:41:14is going to need
00:41:15the home fans on board
00:41:16to try and turn
00:41:17this one around
00:41:17they're now winless
00:41:19in six games
00:41:20since they beat
00:41:20Brentford here
00:41:21back on the 17th of August
00:41:23the fans are certainly
00:41:24up for it
00:41:25oh and that's a
00:41:26miscue there
00:41:27Isidor nearly in
00:41:28Forrest
00:41:29the architecture
00:41:31they're on downfall
00:41:32there almost
00:41:32and Sunderland
00:41:33coming very close
00:41:34to scoring
00:41:34Isidor had to turn
00:41:36sharply
00:41:36it looked like
00:41:38it was going in
00:41:39but the curl
00:41:39took it wide
00:41:40and Sunderland's way
00:41:51out by Milenkovic
00:41:52Dominguez goes in high
00:41:58there with Hulme
00:41:59and after a moment
00:42:00or two of thinking
00:42:01referee Tony Harrington
00:42:02gives a free kick
00:42:03and it's gone Sunderland's way
00:42:05and a yellow card
00:42:06for Dominguez
00:42:07while Sunderland
00:42:08didn't appeal for it
00:42:09there
00:42:09the referee saw
00:42:10something he didn't like
00:42:11all a bit strange
00:42:12Xhaka with a clip
00:42:15and coming round the back
00:42:16Alderete
00:42:17who scores his first
00:42:21Sunderland goal
00:42:22and those Black Cats fans
00:42:25have gone wild
00:42:26a first away goal
00:42:29of the season
00:42:30and it could scarcely
00:42:32have been easier
00:42:32for them
00:42:33a yellow card
00:42:36shown
00:42:37to Nikola Milenkovic
00:42:38for his protests
00:42:39Forrest still raging
00:42:41the free kick
00:42:42was given in the first place
00:42:43but defending
00:42:44they didn't
00:42:45and they have been punished
00:42:47Alderete's run
00:42:49was from deep
00:42:50and totally unmarked
00:42:51as well
00:42:52so naive
00:42:53from Forrest
00:42:54and although
00:42:56Sell's got something on it
00:42:57there was too much power
00:42:59in the header
00:42:59from the Paraguayan
00:43:00they are just having
00:43:02a look at the offside
00:43:03it was very very close
00:43:06it looks like
00:43:07the Zinchenko
00:43:07was playing him onside
00:43:08if anyone there
00:43:09in the middle
00:43:10Hans Postokoglu
00:43:12not a happy man
00:43:13and this goal
00:43:14is going to stand
00:43:15Forrest not happy
00:43:17with a number
00:43:18of situations there
00:43:19it's Sunderland
00:43:21the lead
00:43:21at the city ground
00:43:22Williams
00:43:28all the way through
00:43:30to Ndoy
00:43:31Dan Ndoy
00:43:34deflected
00:43:35and wide it goes
00:43:36Ndoy found the room
00:43:39who knows
00:43:40where that effort
00:43:41was going
00:43:41had it not been
00:43:42for the block
00:43:42Sunderland won
00:43:46the only previous
00:43:47Premier League meeting
00:43:48here
00:43:484-1
00:43:48back in August
00:43:491996
00:43:50it was their first
00:43:51ever Premier League
00:43:52win back then
00:43:53Mickey Gray
00:43:54Nile Quinn and
00:43:55Richard Aude
00:43:56all on the score sheet
00:43:57it's Omar Alderete
00:43:58today
00:43:59here's Gibbs White
00:44:03Anderson
00:44:04Hudson-Odoi
00:44:10Anderson takes over
00:44:14and will go for goal
00:44:16it might just have been
00:44:18being pulled wide
00:44:18there from Anderson
00:44:19but the goalkeeper
00:44:20Rufus wasn't sure
00:44:21what's going off target
00:44:24Anderson
00:44:25struck it firmly
00:44:26enough to worry
00:44:27the Dutch goalkeeper
00:44:27Igor Jesus
00:44:29Wood
00:44:30Anderson
00:44:32nice reverse
00:44:34for Gibbs White
00:44:35trying to thread it
00:44:37through towards
00:44:37back
00:44:37still Dylan
00:44:40back
00:44:40who shoots
00:44:41now
00:44:42that is
00:44:43Forrest's first
00:44:44effort on goal
00:44:45and it comes
00:44:46in the 68th minute
00:44:47with just under
00:44:47a quarter of the
00:44:48game to go
00:44:49it was a real
00:44:50mess from both
00:44:51sides point of view
00:44:52really
00:44:52just a leg
00:44:53stuck out there
00:44:54by back

00:46:28to score
00:46:29today
00:46:29if it's not
00:46:31Robin Rufus
00:46:31the goalkeeper
00:46:32it's Wood

00:46:36but plants
00:46:37his head
00:46:37are wide
00:46:38going to be
00:46:41good
00:46:41this will be a huge
00:46:42confidence boost
00:46:43to Sunderland
00:46:43if they could
00:46:43secure that
00:46:44first away win
00:46:45they go to
00:46:46Manchester United
00:46:47next Saturday
00:46:48Petrauda
00:46:49he could go all the way
00:46:51Petrauda
00:46:51great block by
00:46:53Sells
00:46:53that would have been
00:46:55a memorable goal
00:46:56for him
00:46:56Petrauda
00:46:59looking for his
00:47:00first goal
00:47:00for the club
00:47:01great fleet of foot
00:47:02just couldn't beat the goalkeeper
00:47:03it has finished
00:47:05Nottingham Forest
00:47:050
00:47:06Sunderland
00:47:071
00:47:07it wasn't an easy
00:47:09challenge away
00:47:10and our first win
00:47:12away in the league
00:47:13so I'm really proud
00:47:15for our fans
00:47:16and for the group
00:47:17for the squad
00:47:19because we worked hard
00:47:20we defended well
00:47:20really well connected
00:47:21working hard
00:47:22and with a good
00:47:24good goalkeeper
00:47:25to be honest
00:47:26I didn't really feel like
00:47:27they weren't going to score
00:47:29even if we play on
00:47:30like one hour more
00:47:32but yeah
00:47:33I think every
00:47:34so much balls
00:47:35came in the box
00:47:35and I think
00:47:36the guys fought for every ball
00:47:38and they did so well
00:47:39so yeah
00:47:39we had enough chances
00:47:40to certainly win the game
00:47:41and consider a really poor goal
00:47:43albeit for a poor decision
00:47:44by the official
00:47:46but I think our football
00:47:47has progressed absolutely
00:47:48I think the players
00:47:49have embraced
00:47:49embraced that
00:47:50you know
00:47:50we're playing differently
00:47:51I think that's getting us
00:47:53the foundation
00:47:56to win games
00:47:57of football
00:47:57but we're not
00:47:59and we need to change that
00:48:00It is though
00:48:02another really good win
00:48:03for Sunderland
00:48:04you're not going to rain
00:48:05on their parade though
00:48:06are you Alan?
00:48:07I've been waiting
00:48:08all season
00:48:09to give them some praise
00:48:10they deserve it
00:48:11Come on
00:48:11give them some praise
00:48:12you can't wait can you?
00:48:14Let's start with the decision
00:48:15to award the free kick
00:48:16then
00:48:16that Ann Costacoglu
00:48:17just mentioned
00:48:17Well I thought
00:48:18that was a
00:48:18I thought it was a bit harsh
00:48:20and very harsh
00:48:20to give a yellow card
00:48:22as well
00:48:23Dominguez and Hume
00:48:24come together
00:48:25the referee's got
00:48:26a great view
00:48:26of it
00:48:27you can see
00:48:27he's only what
00:48:2810 yards away
00:48:28looking right at the
00:48:30decision
00:48:31but yeah
00:48:32there might be
00:48:34I think there's a little bit
00:48:35of contact
00:48:36but he has to be
00:48:37absolutely spot on
00:48:38there
00:48:38there's enough to say
00:48:39no you've gone down
00:48:40and you've died
00:48:40and I'm going to give you
00:48:41a yellow card
00:48:43having said all that
00:48:44when they do get
00:48:45the free kick
00:48:46Sunderland
00:48:47they work it
00:48:48extremely well
00:48:49you can see
00:48:49he's not happy at all
00:48:50and there's the yellow card
00:48:52but they work it so well
00:48:53Aldereta around the far post
00:48:55that's a fantastic ball in
00:48:56and eventually
00:48:57that wins them
00:48:58the game
00:48:59you can see
00:49:01he's clear
00:49:02he's made a really good run
00:49:03and he needs the delivery
00:49:05to come in
00:49:05and be right
00:49:06and that's exactly
00:49:07what happens
00:49:08and that's eventually
00:49:09what's won them the game
00:49:10as well as everyone
00:49:12putting a right shift in
00:49:13for the manager
00:49:14and for the away fans
00:49:15because
00:49:16you can see
00:49:17the difference
00:49:18in terms of possession
00:49:19the shots that Sunderland
00:49:20had to face
00:49:2122
00:49:22they just
00:49:24they did everything
00:49:26to protect their goal
00:49:28and come away
00:49:28with the three points
00:49:30and some fantastic saves
00:49:32as well from Roofs
00:49:32yeah
00:49:33and when
00:49:34as I said
00:49:34when they got through
00:49:35the defence of Sunderland
00:49:38then he was
00:49:39he was a big difference
00:49:40again
00:49:41and he made some
00:49:43really really important saves
00:49:44because
00:49:45Forrest were putting
00:49:46the pressure on
00:49:47and there was just
00:49:48no way through
00:49:49as I said
00:49:49he wasn't going to be
00:49:50beaten to
00:49:51beaten today
00:49:52that's a good save
00:49:53Chris Wood
00:49:54he's very very sharp
00:49:55in there
00:49:56with Xhaka
00:49:56and as I said
00:49:57the goalkeeper Roofs
00:49:58they have had a really good season
00:50:00start to this season
00:50:02and Mike has been
00:50:03are you happy about that?
00:50:04waiting for me to say that
00:50:05all season
00:50:05it's about time
00:50:07well done Sunderland
00:50:09well we'll take a look
00:50:11at where they are
00:50:11in the table
00:50:12a little bit later on
00:50:13as well
00:50:13but look
00:50:14from a Nottingham Forest
00:50:15point of view
00:50:15it's no wins
00:50:16in five games now
00:50:17for Ange Postacoglu
00:50:19thoughts on
00:50:20start to life
00:50:22yeah it was being difficult
00:50:23but he's had some tough fixtures
00:50:24Arsenal, Burnley, Swansea
00:50:26Real Betis
00:50:26all away
00:50:28Betis in Europe
00:50:29they played really well
00:50:31in that first half
00:50:32little bit frustrating
00:50:34today
00:50:34because they got into
00:50:35some good areas
00:50:36in the first half
00:50:37but just couldn't
00:50:38finish it off
00:50:39but nothing to worry about
00:50:41we've already asked a few questions
00:50:42about managers
00:50:43and their futures tonight
00:50:44Nuno has left
00:50:46obviously Nottingham Forest
00:50:47which vacated the position
00:50:48for Ange Postacoglu
00:50:49he's now going to become
00:50:51the new West Ham manager
00:50:52taking over from
00:50:53Graham Potter
00:50:53who was sacked
00:50:54it's all moved
00:50:55very quickly today
00:50:56yeah I mean
00:50:57I thought it was very
00:50:58I thought it was very harsh
00:50:59on West Ham
00:51:01to put their manager up yesterday
00:51:03probably knowing
00:51:04that he wasn't going to be
00:51:05in a job
00:51:06some 18 or 24 hours later
00:51:08so I didn't agree
00:51:09with that at all
00:51:10but it's again
00:51:11you know what happens
00:51:12the football hasn't been good
00:51:13the fans have not been happy
00:51:15the results certainly
00:51:16haven't been good
00:51:17as a manager
00:51:18you have to pay the price
00:51:19unfortunately
00:51:19do you think it's also
00:51:20down to the fact
00:51:21that the teams
00:51:22who've come up
00:51:22have done so well
00:51:23the promoted sides
00:51:24that those who are
00:51:25a bit more established
00:51:26and struggling
00:51:27at the start of the season
00:51:28might be getting nervous
00:51:29yeah it's a really good
00:51:30point in that
00:51:30I think we talk about
00:51:32all the time
00:51:32and you know
00:51:33the teams coming up
00:51:34we all have them
00:51:35to go down
00:51:36because it's so difficult
00:51:37but now they're doing
00:51:38so well
00:51:38you've got to make
00:51:39the change
00:51:40if you've got any doubt
00:51:41which obviously they had
00:51:42they made the change
00:51:43I think it is a very
00:51:43very difficult club
00:51:44to manage though
00:51:45at West Ham
00:51:45I mean they had
00:51:46a brilliant manager
00:51:47in there in David Moyes
00:51:48and a lot of the fan base
00:51:50weren't happy with him
00:51:51despite what he brought
00:51:52so I do think
00:51:53it's a difficult club
00:51:54to manage
00:51:54first game for Nuno
00:51:56is on Monday night
00:51:57against Everton
00:51:58two games
00:51:59on tomorrow's
00:52:00match of the day
00:52:01there's also live

00:52:32no spoilers
00:52:32but it's worth it
00:52:33there's coverage
00:52:34of the road cycling
00:52:35world championships
00:52:36tomorrow on the iPlayer

00:52:43where you can also
00:52:44find highlights
00:52:45of each individual game
00:52:46now there's going to be a
00:52:48Now there are ominous signs
00:52:49that Manchester City
00:52:50are returning to form
00:52:51after an early season wobble
00:52:53visitors Burnley
00:52:54have never won
00:52:55at the Etihad
00:52:56another ominous sign
00:52:58commentary comes
00:52:59from Connor McNamara
00:53:00in the hours leading up to City's last home game
00:53:04here the Manchester derby
00:53:06the sad news came through
00:53:07of the passing of lifelong
00:53:08Manchester City fan
00:53:10and world champion boxer
00:53:11Ricky Hatton
00:53:12that was the seat
00:53:13where he used to sit
00:53:14and members of his family
00:53:16have been invited
00:53:18to lead out the teams today
00:53:20Pep Guardiola made wholesale changes
00:53:23to the EFL Cup team
00:53:24in midweek
00:53:25as expected
00:53:26his big guns come back in
00:53:27but no Rodri today
00:53:29not even on the bench
00:53:30Savino makes his first
00:53:32Premier League start
00:53:33to the campaign
00:53:34Burnley are unchanged
00:53:35from last weekend's draw
00:53:37with Nottingham Forest
00:53:37so Kyle Walker starts
00:53:39against his old team
00:53:40Jadon Anthony
00:53:41has done a good run of form
00:53:43with three goals
00:53:44in his last four games
00:53:46statistically this has been
00:53:49Manchester City's weakest start
00:53:51to a new campaign
00:53:52in two decades
00:53:53here's Doku
00:53:55Walker trying to show him
00:53:57the outside
00:53:58Doku all the way
00:54:01good save to Bravkov
00:54:02but followed in
00:54:03Phil Ford and celebrates
00:54:07may well have gone in
00:54:10off a defender
00:54:11Maxime Esterve perhaps
00:54:14yes the last touch
00:54:18does come off
00:54:19Maxime Esterve
00:54:20doesn't it
00:54:20Holland
00:54:25nice pace of that
00:54:27for Jeremy Doku
00:54:28Phil Ford and infield
00:54:29of it
00:54:30Doku tries to take them
00:54:32on again
00:54:32wonderful save
00:54:34by Dubrovka
00:54:35he stayed up
00:54:37he kept his body big
00:54:39smack in the face
00:54:41but it's an excellent save
00:54:42Burley fans who've had some
00:54:45miserable visits here
00:54:46over the years
00:54:47only willing that their team
00:54:49could get an equaliser here
00:54:50but turn this into a very
00:54:51interesting afternoon
00:54:52indeed
00:54:53this is Hartman
00:54:57could arrive at all
00:55:00Burley getting in
00:55:01Jayden Anthony again
00:55:03what a run
00:55:04this guy is on
00:55:05four goals
00:55:07in his last five games
00:55:09now for Jayden Anthony
00:55:11and with their first shot
00:55:14in anger
00:55:15of the afternoon
00:55:17Scott Parker's team
00:55:19are back level
00:55:20didn't appear to be much danger
00:55:23did that
00:55:24Walker to Chowna
00:55:27Anthony
00:55:30Foster running hard ahead
00:55:33good pace to get there
00:55:34ahead of Ruben Diaz
00:55:36it's Foster's shot
00:55:38and it's a flex
00:55:39want to start
00:55:42to the second half
00:55:43this could have been
00:55:44for Lyle Foster
00:55:45and Burnley
00:55:46Anthony
00:55:48Hartman
00:55:51good shot
00:55:53saved by Donnarumma
00:55:54Quincy Hartman
00:55:57looking for his first goal
00:55:59for Burnley
00:55:59well struck
00:56:01towards that bottom corner
00:56:02almost an hour
00:56:05played at the Etienne
00:56:06Foden
00:56:10excellent first touch
00:56:12from Phil Foden
00:56:12to control that
00:56:13this is Gordiol
00:56:14trying to prise it up
00:56:16for Haaland
00:56:17Mateus Nunes
00:56:18Manchester City
00:56:21regained the lead
00:56:22and finally
00:56:24on a slow burning day
00:56:26for Pep Gordiola's team
00:56:28Manchester City
00:56:29hit a few high notes
00:56:31here
00:56:31Haaland did it off
00:56:34and Mateus Nunes
00:56:36who before today
00:56:38had only scored
00:56:38one Premier League goal
00:56:40since joining City
00:56:41scores a very valuable goal
00:56:44for Pep Gordiola here
00:56:45the day when much
00:56:47seemed to be going
00:56:48against Manchester City
00:56:49but now they have
00:56:51their noses in front
00:56:52once more
00:56:53Manchester City
00:56:57are able to flex their muscles now
00:57:09two goals in quick succession
00:57:12so Maxime Esteve today
00:57:14showing a small select group
00:57:17of players who have scored
00:57:18two own goals
00:57:19in a Premier League game
00:57:20Jimmy Carriker famously did
00:57:23a fill of a pool
00:57:23against Manchester United
00:57:24and he got Carl Walker again
00:57:29and on he goes
00:57:31and a solid target
00:57:32from Jeremy Docker
00:57:34it's appealing he'd been fouled
00:57:36in the penalty area there
00:57:37as you can see
00:57:39Carl Walker's lunge
00:57:40does he trip Doku there
00:57:42in the view of the VA
00:57:45there is not sufficient evidence
00:57:47there to disagree
00:57:48with the referee's
00:57:48on-field call
00:57:49so no penalty
00:57:51Doku
00:58:01oh Harland
00:58:06and Erling Harland
00:58:10late on
00:58:11grabs his seventh
00:58:13Premier League goal
00:58:15of the season
00:58:16at times today
00:58:19this was an afternoon
00:58:20that seemed to be
00:58:21slipping away
00:58:21from Manchester City
00:58:22but this is how
00:58:24you finish
00:58:25with a flourish
00:58:26it's now
00:58:2814 goals
00:58:29this season
00:58:30for club and country
00:58:31Ekdal
00:58:35and Esteve
00:58:36jump together
00:58:36and have they
00:58:37gift wrapped it here
00:58:38for Harland
00:58:39late on
00:58:42it becomes
00:58:43a five star
00:58:44performance
00:58:44for Manchester City
00:58:46two on-goals
00:58:47from Esteve
00:58:48will catch the headlines
00:58:49but it's the more
00:58:51routine business
00:58:52of two goals
00:58:53for Erling Harland
00:58:54that seal the deal
00:58:56for Manchester City
00:58:58Manchester City
00:59:00five
00:59:01Burnley
00:59:02one
00:59:02the scoreline
00:59:04makes it sound easy
00:59:05but it wasn't
00:59:05you had to work
00:59:06very hard for that
00:59:07of course
00:59:07I always
00:59:08couldn't see it differently
00:59:09it's Premier League
00:59:10but I think we
00:59:11behaved really well
00:59:12of course
00:59:12the second half
00:59:13was much better
00:59:14the first 15-20 minutes
00:59:15were really good
00:59:16after we drop
00:59:16our game to play
00:59:18two on-goals
00:59:20particularly when they're
00:59:20both in the same player
00:59:21I mean they could have
00:59:22shinned out for a corner
00:59:23just as easily
00:59:23well they had a fine
00:59:24margins of course
00:59:25and the fine margins
00:59:26of today were
00:59:27it was always going to
00:59:28we're going to need it
00:59:29to ride our luck
00:59:29at times
00:59:30I thought we was more
00:59:31than that
00:59:32to be quite honest
00:59:32like I said
00:59:33for the first part
00:59:36of this game
00:59:3660-70 minutes
00:59:38we were right in it
00:59:39and I thought
00:59:39we showed our quality
00:59:40we were brave
00:59:41courageous at times
00:59:42player of the match
00:59:43performance from
00:59:44Doku
00:59:45it was excellent today
00:59:46yeah
00:59:46in a game
00:59:47it's like a low block
00:59:47this is massively
00:59:49important
00:59:50you have to drop
00:59:50the teams
00:59:51this is making decisions
00:59:52it's even better
00:59:53and better
00:59:53and better
00:59:54so
00:59:54all the goals
00:59:56most of them
00:59:57came from there
00:59:58so
00:59:58yeah
00:59:59I'm really pleased
00:59:59for the game he played
01:00:00well for 60-70 minutes
01:00:03says Scott Parker
01:00:04Burnley acquitted
01:00:05themselves well
01:00:05and they were right
01:00:06in the game
01:00:07the trouble is
01:00:07over 90 minutes
01:00:09Manchester City's
01:00:10quality showed
01:00:11Michael
01:00:11exactly that
01:00:12and Doku was
01:00:13the best player
01:00:13on the pitch
01:00:14but I just want to
01:00:15look at the little
01:00:16differences here
01:00:18I'm just slowing
01:00:19it down here
01:00:19look at his first
01:00:21touch
01:00:21his first touch
01:00:23is going to go
01:00:24forward
01:00:24normally he would
01:00:25play it back there
01:00:26so now
01:00:27he's got Kyle Walker
01:00:28on the back foot
01:00:30are being in this
01:00:30position here
01:00:31you want him to take
01:00:32the touch inside
01:00:33so he can get set
01:00:34he doesn't allow him
01:00:35to get set
01:00:36now he's got Kyle Walker
01:00:38exactly where
01:00:39he wants him
01:00:40and the good thing
01:00:41about Doku
01:00:42here
01:00:42he attracts players
01:00:44across to him
01:00:44that leave space
01:00:45for others
01:00:46to get into the box
01:00:47as we roll it on here
01:00:49he gets a little bit
01:00:50fortunate
01:00:51but the manager
01:00:52mentions end product
01:00:54and that's it
01:00:55being involved
01:00:56again
01:00:57hanging out
01:00:58he wants to go
01:00:59in this
01:01:001v1 situation
01:01:02how many times
01:01:02have we talked
01:01:03about Man City
01:01:03wingers
01:01:04just playing back
01:01:05playing the safe
01:01:06ball
01:01:06no
01:01:06he was positive
01:01:07he wanted to go
01:01:08line
01:01:08and then
01:01:09ok
01:01:10cross wasn't
01:01:11amazing
01:01:12but he gets
01:01:13his cross in
01:01:14again
01:01:14against Kyle Walker
01:01:16it was a really
01:01:16good battle
01:01:17he thinks
01:01:18he's going to go
01:01:19outside
01:01:20but this time
01:01:21he comes inside
01:01:22and that is the
01:01:23difference
01:01:23between making
01:01:25decisions
01:01:25in the right
01:01:26moments
01:01:27in the game
01:01:28he gets his
01:01:28shot off
01:01:28but the last
01:01:29one
01:01:30was just
01:01:30perfect
01:01:31and Pep
01:01:31mentions it
01:01:32concentration
01:01:33decision making
01:01:35and making
01:01:36the difference
01:01:37Kyle Walker
01:01:38doesn't know
01:01:39where to go
01:01:40because he can
01:01:40go both ways
01:01:41and he picks
01:01:42out Harlem
01:01:43with a wonderful
01:01:44ball
01:01:44and this season
01:01:45his improvement
01:01:46has been excellent
01:01:47and these are just
01:01:48the stats from the game
01:01:49he's first in
01:01:50absolutely everything
01:01:50and if he can
01:01:51continue this form
01:01:52he's going to have a
01:01:53really good season
01:01:54because a lot of people
01:01:55have not been sure
01:01:56about him
01:01:57but he's really
01:01:57playing well this season
01:01:58so far
01:01:59Burnley will be glad
01:02:00to have this fixture
01:02:01out the way
01:02:01for the time being
01:02:02at least in the last
01:02:0314 meetings
01:02:03between the two sides
01:02:04it's now an aggregate
01:02:05score of 51-3
01:02:07to Manchester City
01:02:08Wolves have begun
01:02:10the season
01:02:10with five consecutive
01:02:12defeats in the Premier League
01:02:13Match 6
01:02:14was a tricky trip
01:02:15to Thomas Frank's
01:02:17high-flying Spurs
01:02:18commentary comes
01:02:19from Vicky Sparks
01:02:20current form
01:02:23may yield
01:02:23a clear favourite
01:02:24for this one
01:02:24but Wolves
01:02:26have been a bit
01:02:27of a bogey team
01:02:27for Tottenham
01:02:28in recent seasons
01:02:29winning four
01:02:30of the last five
01:02:31encounters
01:02:31Javi Simons
01:02:32comes back
01:02:33into the Spurs side
01:02:34replacing
01:02:34Wilson Odebeir
01:02:35and Thomas Frank
01:02:36rotates a full-back
01:02:37Jed Spence
01:02:38starting ahead
01:02:39of Pedro Porro
01:02:40Vitor Pereira
01:02:41shows his
01:02:42ruthless side
01:02:43tonight
01:02:43nine changes
01:02:45from their league
01:02:45defeat by Leeds
01:02:46with big names
01:02:47like Jose Sarr
01:02:48and Totti
01:02:48amongst those
01:02:49benched
01:02:50as Pereira
01:02:50keeps faith
01:02:51with the side
01:02:51that beat
01:02:52Everton
01:02:52in the league
01:02:53cup in midweek
01:02:54just one change
01:02:55from that team
01:02:55Joao Gomez
01:02:56in for Belgaard
01:02:57a good recent record
01:03:01for Wolves
01:03:01then against Spurs
01:03:03and specifically
01:03:03a good recent record
01:03:06at this stadium
01:03:07only lost
01:03:07on two of their
01:03:08last eight
01:03:09Premier League
01:03:10visits here
01:03:11Richarlison
01:03:13in Tanker
01:03:18Simons
01:03:19it's a good delivery
01:03:21run off the bar
01:03:23from Kudus
01:03:23and swept away
01:03:26to safety
01:03:26by Munetzi
01:03:27and it's a fabulous
01:03:30save by Johnston
01:03:31point blank
01:03:33to push that header
01:03:34onto the bar
01:03:35from Kudus
01:03:35well he said this week
01:03:37Thomas Frank
01:03:38he believes
01:03:38the Lewis family
01:03:39the majority
01:03:40owners of Tottenham
01:03:41are 120% committed
01:03:44after the club
01:03:45again unequivocally
01:03:47rejected
01:03:47takeover interest
01:03:49from a new
01:03:49consortium
01:03:50well no said
01:03:56only as far as
01:03:56Bergwald
01:03:57is Kudus
01:03:58nicely done
01:04:01oh very nicely done
01:04:03very nicely done
01:04:05indeed
01:04:06but not quite
01:04:09nicely enough
01:04:10flag is up
01:04:12well they'll have a look
01:04:17at that one
01:04:17VAR
01:04:18but this
01:04:20was beautiful
01:04:21that
01:04:22not quite so much
01:04:23if he'd held the run
01:04:25it would have been
01:04:26very special
01:04:27indeed
01:04:28Kudus
01:04:33nice take
01:04:34Bergwald wants it
01:04:36Kudus wants it too
01:04:37hesitation from Wolves
01:04:40and Palinia down
01:04:41and a referee
01:04:43Michael Salisbury
01:04:44are moved by that
01:04:45he does give the free
01:04:46kick
01:04:47for the foul on Strand-Larsen
01:04:48and Palinia
01:04:50is still down
01:04:52lovely control
01:04:55from Kudus
01:04:56decent save
01:04:58by Johnston
01:04:59it's right
01:05:01on the line
01:05:02VAR
01:05:04VAR have had a look
01:05:05they are happy
01:05:07the on-field decision
01:05:09stands
01:05:10let's see
01:05:13Strand-Larsen
01:05:14Krejci getting
01:05:15forwards
01:05:16Arias
01:05:18corner
01:05:19Arias
01:05:28with the delivery
01:05:29right across goal
01:05:30and off the woodwork
01:05:32Doherty coming so close
01:05:35for Wolves
01:05:36just couldn't keep it down
01:05:39now this is the first time
01:05:44since April
01:05:45that Wolves have begun
01:05:46the second half in the
01:05:47Premier League
01:05:48not trailing
01:05:49here goes Andres
01:05:52just ahead of Arias
01:05:53but Strand-Larsen has it
01:05:54it's been relatively quiet
01:05:55so far
01:05:56finds Chachua
01:05:58that's a good early delivery
01:06:00well read
01:06:02by Benson-Kir
01:06:04Arias
01:06:12to send it in
01:06:13and the header
01:06:14towards goal
01:06:14Vicario
01:06:15with the save
01:06:16but it's bundled in
01:06:17and Tottenham
01:06:19concede
01:06:20in the second half
01:06:22of a Premier League game
01:06:23for the first time
01:06:25this campaign
01:06:26and what
01:06:28a tonic
01:06:29this could be
01:06:30for beleaguered Wolves
01:06:32it's scrappy
01:06:34but they won't care a bit
01:06:36Santiago Bueno
01:06:38with the final touch
01:06:40to poke it past Vicario
01:06:43and what a time
01:06:45to get your first goal
01:06:47for Wolverhampton Wanderers
01:06:49Bueno
01:06:54Wolves at the moment
01:06:57just wants it more
01:06:59here's Belguards
01:07:01being urged to shoot
01:07:04by the away fans
01:07:05lays it off to Arias
01:07:07and now Bueno
01:07:08Vicario
01:07:09with the save
01:07:10well at the moment
01:07:12it's Wolves
01:07:13who look more likely
01:07:15to score
01:07:16Elgar's delivery
01:07:22and Vicario's there
01:07:23a bit of a tangle
01:07:26in the box
01:07:27still going on
01:07:28with
01:07:28Krejci
01:07:29involved
01:07:30VAR did have
01:07:33a little look
01:07:33at this
01:07:34coming together
01:07:35Rennon Johnson
01:07:37and Krejci
01:07:38and they were happy
01:07:39Romero
01:07:44Toro's early delivery
01:07:48but Charleston's there
01:07:50that's the sort of position
01:07:52you want him in
01:07:53with Charleston
01:07:53just drifting in
01:07:56behind Santiago
01:07:57Bueno
01:07:58at the header
01:08:00off target
01:08:01not quite been good
01:08:03enough from his side
01:08:03today
01:08:04Cruz
01:08:09good tenacity
01:08:11well they had options
01:08:13over on the right
01:08:14Polina's going to try
01:08:15the curler
01:08:16and his teammates
01:08:19are furious
01:08:20with him
01:08:20Brennan Johnson
01:08:21Pedro Poro
01:08:22over on that
01:08:23right hand side
01:08:24not happy
01:08:25that Gerard Polina
01:08:27opted to shoot
01:08:28here
01:08:28look at Johnson
01:08:29screaming for it
01:08:31on the right
01:08:31not impressed
01:08:33now van der Ven
01:08:38everybody getting
01:08:40forward for Tottenham
01:08:41now
01:08:41what a bear
01:08:42lead away by Wolves
01:08:44Chatua will
01:08:45help it on
01:08:46Tottenham have it
01:08:48once more
01:08:49here's on a bear
01:08:49Tell
01:08:51up against Munizzi
01:08:54Tell's delivery
01:08:55Polina
01:08:56the latest
01:09:02of late levellers
01:09:04and it's a bitter
01:09:06blow for Wolves
01:09:08it's a beautiful
01:09:09strike from Polina
01:09:10kicks his spot
01:09:13guides it
01:09:14home
01:09:15expertly
01:09:16so important
01:09:17for Spurs
01:09:18warm up
01:09:18first off we had
01:09:24some problems
01:09:25to control them
01:09:26but the second
01:09:28off was
01:09:28my opinion
01:09:30my team
01:09:31was the best
01:09:32team in the pitch
01:09:33we deserve to win
01:09:34keeping this
01:09:35spirit
01:09:36is two games
01:09:37in a row
01:09:38without losing
01:09:39tactically
01:09:39and mentally
01:09:41we are in
01:09:41conditions to compete
01:09:42in this moment
01:09:43and I believe
01:09:44we will get points
01:09:47in the future
01:09:48I can say
01:09:49the foundation
01:09:49is in a good
01:09:51place
01:09:51I think that's
01:09:52always the
01:09:52structure of the
01:09:53team
01:09:54defending well
01:09:56how can I say
01:09:59they are working
01:10:00hard
01:10:00running hard
01:10:01the offensive
01:10:02part of it
01:10:04is definitely
01:10:04the thing
01:10:05we need to
01:10:05add layers to
01:10:07I think it was
01:10:08very positive
01:10:08against Brighton
01:10:10I think today
01:10:10first I was good
01:10:11but second half
01:10:12I would have loved
01:10:12to do a little bit
01:10:13more
01:10:13so I think
01:10:14that's part
01:10:15part of the
01:10:17development
01:10:17Wolves won in the
01:10:19League Cup in
01:10:20midweek but that's
01:10:20their first point
01:10:21in the Premier League
01:10:22and despite the
01:10:23disappointment of
01:10:24conceding late on
01:10:26in that game to
01:10:26drop two points
01:10:27how pleased can
01:10:29they be overall
01:10:30with the performance
01:10:31do you think
01:10:31given that they'd
01:10:32lost their previous
01:10:33five
01:10:33yeah I think they
01:10:34can be very
01:10:35impressed in how
01:10:36they performed
01:10:37just that confidence
01:10:38when you're going
01:10:39through a spell
01:10:40where you're losing
01:10:40games you're looking
01:10:42for that first point
01:10:43or first win
01:10:44but they actually
01:10:45played some really
01:10:45good stuff today
01:10:46as well whether
01:10:47it was Aria running
01:10:48in behind
01:10:48nice threaded
01:10:49ball there
01:10:50just a bit of
01:10:51conviction when
01:10:52they got there
01:10:53was missing at
01:10:54times today
01:10:55Doherty at the
01:10:56back post here
01:10:57hits the bar
01:10:58there on another
01:10:59day that could
01:11:00have went in
01:11:00and this was
01:11:02the goal there
01:11:03Santiago Bueno
01:11:04gets his tap in
01:11:06and he had a
01:11:07really good game
01:11:08and actually good
01:11:09at highlighting but
01:11:10it ended up in a
01:11:11draw and Belagard
01:11:12when he came on
01:11:13was running in behind
01:11:14causing nuisance
01:11:15and these are
01:11:17positive signs
01:11:17this is exactly
01:11:18what you need
01:11:19and your luck
01:11:20will turn at some
01:11:22stage if you keep
01:11:23knocking on the
01:11:23door and I did
01:11:24that to them
01:11:25this was a great
01:11:25move
01:11:25little one
01:11:26fakes the shoot
01:11:27pass it across
01:11:28overlook there
01:11:29and then Hugo
01:11:30Bueno with a
01:11:31shot with his
01:11:32technique I
01:11:33expect him to
01:11:34score him but
01:11:34really good
01:11:35I think with the
01:11:36nine changes he
01:11:37made from the
01:11:37last Premier League
01:11:38game it also
01:11:39sends a message
01:11:40out to the
01:11:40players that if
01:11:41you're not
01:11:41performing he's not
01:11:43afraid to change
01:11:44it around
01:11:44they got the
01:11:44result in midweek
01:11:46and he kept a
01:11:47lot of those
01:11:47names that were
01:11:48in there in this
01:11:49game so sends a
01:11:51message to the
01:11:51other players you
01:11:52know
01:11:52what about the
01:11:52early signs for
01:11:53Tottenham under
01:11:54Thomas Frank
01:11:54they'll be
01:11:55disappointed with
01:11:56the result and
01:11:57the performance
01:11:57today but the
01:11:58positive is that
01:11:59they might not
01:11:59have nicked a
01:12:00point last season
01:12:01in this game
01:12:022-0 down last
01:12:03weekend 1-0 down
01:12:04today in terms of
01:12:05getting that late
01:12:07goal so I think
01:12:08they'll be very
01:12:10pleased with the
01:12:10start that
01:12:11they've made
01:12:11Bournemouth have
01:12:13quietly made a
01:12:14great start to the
01:12:15season they've won
01:12:16three of their
01:12:16first five they
01:12:18headed north to
01:12:19newly promoted
01:12:19Leeds your
01:12:20commentator Steve
01:12:21Wilson
01:12:21Dominic Calvert-Lewin
01:12:24scored his first
01:12:25Leeds United goal
01:12:26in last weekend's
01:12:27win at Wolves
01:12:28if he can stay fit
01:12:29and keep scoring
01:12:30then Leeds should
01:12:32be okay
01:12:33Tyler Adams
01:12:34returns to his
01:12:35former club for
01:12:36Bournemouth he left
01:12:38two years ago and
01:12:39it was not without
01:12:40some rancour if
01:12:42Bournemouth avoid
01:12:42defeat here this
01:12:43afternoon it'll be
01:12:45their best ever
01:12:45start six games into
01:12:47a Premier League
01:12:48season
01:12:48Michael Oliver is
01:12:53the man in charge
01:12:53Leeds United on
01:12:55this unbeaten home
01:12:57run in league
01:12:58football 22 matches
01:12:59now 15 clean sheets
01:13:02in those 22 and
01:13:03here's Dominic
01:13:04Calvert-Lewin and
01:13:05he's in on goal
01:13:06Calvert-Lewin and
01:13:07he really should have
01:13:08scored
01:13:08saved by Georgia
01:13:11Petrovic but what a
01:13:12wonderful opportunity
01:13:13for Dominic Calvert-Lewin
01:13:15well he may do well
01:13:16to get a better chance
01:13:17than this
01:13:18Longstaff's little
01:13:19poke into his path
01:13:20he's got the pace to
01:13:21find the room but the
01:13:23shot really is straight
01:13:24at Petrovic
01:13:25goodmanson and when it
01:13:41goodmanson and when it
01:13:45comes to Calvert-Lewin it's a
01:13:56great little flick as he got
01:13:57himself in front of
01:13:58Diakite and a very good
01:13:59save
01:14:00last team to score
01:14:02against Leeds here were
01:14:03Preston North End back in
01:14:04April
01:14:04play on
01:14:10Aronson for Bogle
01:14:12stack and Calvert-Lewin
01:14:15getting forward
01:14:16Aronson too
01:14:17this is Aronson
01:14:19and it might find
01:14:20Calvert-Lewin
01:14:21who had time to bring it
01:14:23down
01:14:23don't think he realised it
01:14:25well when this comes in
01:14:28from Aronson look how much
01:14:29space Calvert-Lewin has
01:14:30far more than he appreciates
01:14:32I think
01:14:33throw in to Bournemouth
01:14:36and Semenyo applies
01:14:38distance and spin
01:14:40it's Joe Rodon getting
01:14:42ahead on it
01:14:43Adley
01:14:43longstaff for Leeds
01:14:47and a free kick is given
01:14:49he's not too sure about
01:14:53that Ryan Christie
01:14:54hit the deck
01:14:55dangerous looking free kick
01:14:58Semenyo
01:14:59it's in
01:15:00straight through the wall
01:15:04Leeds nil
01:15:05Bournemouth won
01:15:07on Transsemenyo
01:15:08he's tripping it low
01:15:11the wall did jump
01:15:14it went under the wall
01:15:15but Aronson
01:15:16lying on the ground
01:15:18was not in a position
01:15:20to make the block
01:15:21it's just
01:15:22beyond his
01:15:23boots
01:15:24and Bournemouth are in front
01:15:26Aronson
01:15:29and Pogu
01:15:30defending Sinesi
01:15:35Diakite
01:15:36unable to prevent the corner kick
01:15:39however
01:15:39Leeds corner
01:15:44longstaff with it
01:15:45and the downward
01:15:47head is in
01:15:48Joe Rodon
01:15:49has equalised
01:15:50and it's gone straight through
01:15:52Petrovic
01:15:53and into the net
01:15:54well I don't know what happened to Petrovic
01:15:59it's a good lead
01:16:01it's taken a flick off Semenyo
01:16:04that has seriously not helped him
01:16:06that flick
01:16:07and it's all square
01:16:10Okafor
01:16:14and Pidou
01:16:15Tristie
01:16:19with
01:16:20Goodman
01:16:21the ball is still in play
01:16:22as the two
01:16:23wrestle for it
01:16:24it's still in play
01:16:26and it's Noah
01:16:27Okafor
01:16:28and it's Aronson
01:16:29great block by Sinesi
01:16:30and Longstaff
01:16:312-1 Leeds
01:16:33his first goal
01:16:41for Leeds United
01:16:42and Daniel Farker's side
01:16:45have turned it around
01:16:47there's an almighty tussle here
01:16:52between Goodman
01:16:52and Christy
01:16:53did well to keep the ball alive
01:16:56it fell
01:17:00beautifully for Longstaff
01:17:02outside of the right boot
01:17:04inside of the post
01:17:05Leeds 2
01:17:06Bournemouth 1
01:17:07Longstaff
01:17:11Aronson
01:17:13well cut out
01:17:18needed to be 2
01:17:19Arons losing at them
01:17:21Harrison's hit
01:17:23very cleanly hit
01:17:272
01:17:27Leeds have been
01:17:29much the more
01:17:31powerful side
01:17:32since half time
01:17:32Diakite
01:17:35will keep it alive
01:17:36David Brooks
01:17:38Sinesi
01:17:43nice ball
01:17:44Evan Nielsen
01:17:45Kruppi
01:17:45miss hit it
01:17:46well the build up
01:17:49was excellent
01:17:50exactly what
01:17:51Ariello would want
01:17:52the finish was not
01:17:53they picked their way
01:17:55through beautifully
01:17:56here Bournemouth
01:17:56purposeful ball
01:17:58into Evan Nielsen
01:17:59nice little layoff
01:18:00and Elie Kruppi
01:18:01miss hit it
01:18:02Tanaka
01:18:08free kick to Bournemouth
01:18:14and Padua will get a yellow card
01:18:17here for kicking the ball away
01:18:18three minutes of added time
01:18:23still to play
01:18:23Bournemouth free kick
01:18:25Brooks into the box
01:18:26headed on dangerously
01:18:27and into the net
01:18:29brilliantly
01:18:30Elie Kruppi is equalized
01:18:32for Bournemouth
01:18:33well it's a fabulous finish
01:18:36it's absolutely stunned
01:18:38Alan Road
01:18:39and Bournemouth a level
01:18:41it's a terrific finish
01:18:44because Evan Nielsen
01:18:45was really impeding
01:18:46his view of it
01:18:47but he volleys it
01:18:49back across goal
01:18:51and into the corner
01:18:52and it's Leeds 2
01:18:54Bournemouth 2
01:18:55I think we showed character
01:18:57showed belief
01:18:59until the end
01:18:59today I think
01:19:01they were
01:19:02physically
01:19:03a little bit
01:19:04better than us
01:19:05we normally are a team
01:19:05that wins this kind of battles
01:19:07but Calvert-Lay wins
01:19:08on Longstaff
01:19:08and Padua
01:19:09physical players
01:19:10that they were
01:19:11not making
01:19:12our game easy
01:19:13and in a game
01:19:14that was uncomfortable
01:19:15for us
01:19:16at least we've shown character
01:19:17I'm pleased
01:19:18what my Leeds are doing
01:19:19at the moment
01:19:19football-wise
01:19:20but also like
01:19:20from the whole
01:19:21fighting spirit
01:19:22from the physicality
01:19:23this is exactly
01:19:24the way
01:19:24how you
01:19:25need to win
01:19:26your points
01:19:26is newly promoted
01:19:27side
01:19:27and for that
01:19:29happy with the performance
01:19:30but unlucky
01:19:31with the result
01:19:31Late goals have been
01:19:33something of a theme
01:19:34today
01:19:34but for Bournemouth
01:19:35it's a best ever start
01:19:37to a Premier League season
01:19:38and they've almost
01:19:39slipped under the radar
01:19:40a little bit
01:19:41Well it's even more
01:19:42impressive Kelly
01:19:42because of what
01:19:44they had to do
01:19:44in the summer
01:19:45in terms of the business
01:19:46they've lost four
01:19:46of the five that they had
01:19:47including the goalkeeper
01:19:48Kepa, Zobani,
01:19:50Kerkas and Hausen
01:19:52and I think what's
01:19:53impressive is
01:19:54the manager trusts
01:19:55his players
01:19:56and when you're losing
01:19:57that many players
01:19:59for you then to have
01:20:00the great start
01:20:01and I know they've
01:20:02conceded the two today
01:20:03but they've only
01:20:04conceded seven all season
01:20:06and when you've had to
01:20:07bring in different players
01:20:08and work at different
01:20:10things
01:20:10that's even more
01:20:11impressive
01:20:12so yeah Bournemouth
01:20:13I think have been
01:20:14absolutely outstanding
01:20:14the set up's been great
01:20:16hasn't it
01:20:16the way they press
01:20:18you all know the jobs
01:20:19Semenyo's obviously
01:20:20a really good player
01:20:21as well
01:20:22but Truffaut
01:20:22the full back
01:20:23he's a very good player
01:20:25as well
01:20:25so doing so well
01:20:26what about Leeds United
01:20:27disappointed to concede
01:20:29the late equaliser
01:20:30obviously
01:20:31but when you look at
01:20:32how well they've done
01:20:33how well the promoted
01:20:34sides have done
01:20:35this season
01:20:36in fact it's the best
01:20:36start to a Premier League
01:20:37season for the promoted
01:20:38sides since 2017-18
01:20:41and just pertinently
01:20:43look at the number
01:20:44who've survived
01:20:45two or three of them
01:20:46have gone on to
01:20:47stay up
01:20:48yeah and Leeds
01:20:50his home form's
01:20:51going to be key
01:20:52and I think that's why
01:20:53Farko will be kicking
01:20:53himself today
01:20:54because they deserve to win
01:20:55and it's also the way
01:20:57you play
01:20:58if you're a bit pragmatic
01:20:58the way you want to play
01:21:00and then go on transition
01:21:01it's probably a better way
01:21:03to stay in the Premier League
01:21:04we've seen Southampton
01:21:05before
01:21:05they had to try to play out
01:21:07and they just got picked off
01:21:09but good sign so far
01:21:10I think with the home fans
01:21:13that both Sunderland
01:21:13and Leeds have got
01:21:14they're always going to be
01:21:15difficult for teams going there
01:21:16yeah it's going to be
01:21:17very very difficult
01:21:18for those sides
01:21:20or rather for sides
01:21:22to go in and play against them
01:21:23alright let's take a look
01:21:24at the top of the
01:21:26Premier League table
01:21:27Liverpool stay top
01:21:28that's despite them
01:21:29losing their 100% record
01:21:31at Crystal Palace
01:21:32they move up
01:21:33into second place
01:21:34they are now the only
01:21:36unbeaten side left
01:21:37in the Premier League
01:21:38Tottenham stay in third
01:21:40Sunderland have risen to fourth
01:21:42they are the top team
01:21:43in the North East
01:21:44with Manchester City
01:21:45now back in the
01:21:46top six
01:21:47Chelsea slipped down
01:21:48into eighth
01:21:49after their defeat
01:21:50Wolves got their first
01:21:52point of the season
01:21:53as we've seen
01:21:54but that's not enough
01:21:55to lift them off the foot
01:21:56of the table
01:21:57Burnley and Nottingham Forest
01:21:59both lost their games
01:22:00and they could find
01:22:02themselves in the
01:22:02relegation zone
01:22:03by the end of this
01:22:04round of fixtures
01:22:05eight goals scored
01:22:09in 90 plus minutes
01:22:10today but Alan
01:22:11keeps us very punctual
01:22:12so we are off
01:22:13thank you very much
01:22:14to Alan
01:22:14and to Micah
01:22:16as we saw this evening
01:22:17the champion's crown
01:22:18wobbled at the palace
01:22:20and Glasner
01:22:21is just glad all over
01:22:22goodnight
01:22:23and then we are
01:22:30here
01:22:32and
01:22:33and
01:22:35the
01:22:35show
