It's one of the biggest industry events of the new year, CES, the Consumer Electronics Show, where more than 4,500 exhibitors are showcasing their latest and greatest innovations. LifeMinute editor-in-chief, Joann Butler shares what everyone is buzzing about this year. When it comes to the kitchen, the design world is just buzzing about LG's new Standard-Depth MAX 4-Door French Door refrigerator. It makes mini craft ice with dual ice makers for cubed or crushed ice from both the door and the freezer, which has tons of room. The inside is 29 cubic feet with wide open shelves -which is perfect for storing large platters or baking sheets. There's also a drawer that has five temperature settings so you can easily shift between refrigerator and freezer, making it super simple to store everything from wine and cheeses to frozen foods. It also maintains consistent temperatures to keep food fresh and tasting its best. It has adjustable LED back wall lighting and it's kid proof, with pocket handles and soft-close hinges to prevent slamming little hands, plus it resists fingerprints and smudges. And it's extra smart with ThinQ connectivity for remote monitoring, voice assistant compatibility, and wins kudos for energy efficiency. Moving on to the living space, the LG 100-inch Micro RGB 4k TV is a total showstopper. It uses the smallest individual RGB LEDs ever to deliver higher precision in brightness, contrast, and color purity, so images appear more lifelike. Everything you watch looks more real, more dimensional, and incredibly uniform from edge to edge on this huge 100-inch screen. You also get RGB primary color ultra, which unlocks a full, expanded spectrum of primary colors with exceptional depth and gradation. This is especially noticeable in HDR content and complex color scenes: think sunsets, cityscapes, or cinematic shadow detail, everything just pops. Even at this massive size, the TV is ultra-slim and designed to sit flush against the wall, so it feels less like a TV and more like a piece of modern architecture. It blends beautifully into contemporary spaces while still making a very bold statement, and of course, it has smart features. With LG's award-winning webOS platform, you get personalized home screens, voice ID that recognizes who's watching, AI picture, and Sound Wizard that tunes everything to your personal preferences, so it's not just a stunning visual centerpiece, it's also an intuitive, easy-to-use smart home entertainment hub. When it comes to travel, one of the coolest things Joann saw at CES was how tech company Oshkosh is reimagining how airports run. They showcased a fleet of super smart robots that assist ground crews right on the tarmac on all kinds of tasks-- such as guiding a plane from landing to take off, and numerous other things that are needed all day long, under all kinds of weather conditions. They are all AI driven with autonomous mobility. The idea is to boost safety and efficiency, making it a great example of how technology can help airports move travelers faster while maintaining the highest safety standards.

00:00Hey, Joanne Butler here, just back from CES, the Consumer Electronics Show, where things are
00:09getting more and more smart. Let's start in the kitchen. The design world is just buzzing about
00:15LG's new Standard Depth Max. This is a four-door French-door fridge that just takes entertaining
00:22to the next level. Look at this. It makes mini craft ice with dual ice makers for cubed or
00:27crushed ice from both the door and the freezer that has tons of room. The inside is actually 29
00:34cubic feet of storage. It has wide-open shelves, which I love for storing, like large platters or
00:40baking sheets. There's also a drawer that has five temp settings, so you can easily shift between
00:45fridge or freezer mode for wine and cheeses to frozen foods. I just love this. It also helps
00:52maintain consistent temperatures to keep food fresher for longer and just tasting its best.
00:57So this is a real foodie-lovered dream here. And of course, it's gorgeous. It has adjustable LED
01:03back wall lighting. It's also kid-proof. It has little pocket handles with soft-close hinges,
01:09plus it's smudge and fingerprint-resistant, so who doesn't love that? Super smart, of course. It has
01:14ThinQ connectivity for remote monitoring, voice assist, and it wins kudos for energy efficiency.
01:20It's just the most primo fridge. Now, next up, a total showstopper. This is the LG 100-inch
01:28micro RGB 4K TV. It uses the smallest individual RGB LEDs ever to deliver higher precision, brightness,
01:38contrast, and color purity. So images appear more lifelike, more accurate and dimensional,
01:44edge-to-edge on this huge screen, especially noticeable with HDR content and really complex
01:50color scenes. So sunset, cityscapes, cinematic shadow detail. Everything is just amazing and just pops,
01:57even at this massive size.
01:58But it's ultra-slim. The design just sits flush against the wall, so it feels less like a TV and
02:04more like this beautiful piece of modern architecture. Of course, this is super smart, too. It has LG's
02:10award-winning webOS platform, so you can personalize your home screens, voice ID that recognizes who's watching,
02:16even AI picture and sound wizard that tunes everything to your personal preferences when you turn it on.
02:23Just a super-smart, but easy-to-use entertainment hub. Now, another one of the coolest things I saw at CES was how
02:29tech company Oshkosh is reimagining how airports run. They showcase this fleet of super-smart robots that
02:37actually assist ground crews right on the tarmac on all kinds of tasks, from guiding a plane to land,
02:43to taking off, and just numerous other things that are needed all day long, under all kinds of weather conditions,
02:50too, even bad weather. All AI-driven, autonomous mobility, the ideas to boost safety, efficiency.
02:57Just a great example of how technology can help airports move travelers faster, while still maintaining
03:03the highest safety standards. Just incredible, super incredible from Oshkosh. And those are some of my
03:09favorite things I saw at CES this year.
