00:28I have been loving your career, obviously I remember chatting to you right at the beginning, and now you are literally a lead in an Agatha Christie.
00:35Yeah I know, it's really bizarre.
00:37Mia what's going on?
00:38I don't know babe, tell me, I have no idea. I keep being like, someone's gonna realise that I'm not supposed to be here soon.
00:44No you totally are supposed to be here, and listen the director was just saying that he thinks you would be a good detective in real life, apparently you've got the charm and the temacity for it.
00:52Okay, I'll take that, I'll take that, but I also like, he knows very much that I thrive off chaos, so I'm intrigued to see what sort of things he can think I can discover.
01:00But we'll go with it.
01:01My fellow chaos people, I knew there was a reason why we got on.
01:03This is it.
01:05But listen, I saw some pictures of you with Martin and Helena, and I'm not gonna lie, it was given Mum and Dad.
01:10Oh yeah.
01:11It was so sweet.
01:12But they're like the children.
01:13Yesterday, literally, we were doing an event, and they were just chatting away, and I said to Chris, I was like, thank God they didn't have more stuff together, because we wouldn't get anything done.
01:19They didn't stop talking.
01:20I was like, guys, I talk a lot. This, extreme.
01:23But honestly, like, Helena is just so effortless cool.
01:26Like, I want to be like her when I grow up.
01:27Yeah, yeah.
01:28She's so bohemian.
01:29Yeah.
01:30What was it like working with her?
01:31Everything you could hope for and more.
01:32Like, she is literally a dream of a human.
01:35And just so much fun.
01:37So much fun.
01:38And also, like, getting to see her and Martin, like, worked for a really long time on such incredible things and still love what they do so much and have so much fun doing it.
01:46I'm like, yay, I just want to do that.
01:49Listen, I love a good murder mystery series.
01:51Are you a Traitors fan?
01:52Like, do you like all this kind of stuff?
01:54Are you kidding?
01:55For my 30th, I want to, like, recreate Traitors.
01:57Oh, please give me an invite.
01:58Yeah, absolutely.
01:59Oh, perfect.
02:00There we go.
02:01Done.
02:02Traitors.
02:03Are we even more Scottish?
02:04We can go to the Highlands.
02:05Oh, yeah.
02:06This is it.
02:07The castle is in Scotland, isn't it?
02:08Yes, it's in the Highlands.
02:09Perfect.
02:10Listen.
02:11Off we go.
02:12Booked and busy, babe.
02:13I'm so excited for you.
02:15It's so good to see you again.
02:16Congratulations.
02:17You're thriving.
02:18Lovely to see you.
02:19Lovely to see you.
02:20You're looking so good.
02:21Oh, thank you very much.
02:22So do you, so do you.
02:23I was like, who is this handsome man?
02:24Oh, come on.
02:25Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:26New Year, New Year.
02:27Yeah, yeah, maybe.
02:28Maybe, maybe.
02:29But listen, can you please stop playing characters that die?
02:30We need to stop this.
02:31I can't stop it.
02:32I can't stop it.
02:33I can't stop it.
02:46Unless I die in the script, then I just don't say yes.
02:50No, yeah.
02:51I don't know.
02:52What is that about?
02:53Maybe some sort of masochistic thing that's going on.
02:57Yeah, I should talk to someone about that, maybe.
02:59But I like the fact that you play a character called Jerry.
03:01I always think that's like a bit of a swag about them.
03:03Do you think so?
03:04Yeah.
03:05I always thought Jerry, Jerry.
03:06I don't know.
03:07I don't know.
03:08I just, I don't think.
03:09Yes, I love you vibes.
03:10That's what I'm thinking about.
03:11Oh, right.
03:12Okay.
03:13We know the way I'm on now.
03:14Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:15But listen, it's great to see you in this murder mystery.
03:18I mean, what was it like to get back into 1920s and playing a Jerry?
03:22And playing a Jerry.
03:23No, it was gorgeous.
03:24I mean, honestly, in all honesty, I filmed for maybe a week at most.
03:29But while I was there, it was, I mean, there was this gorgeous party sequence that we see
03:34like 10 minutes into the series.
03:37And the costumes were amazing.
03:40It's just, you know, you feel like you're stepping into a different world.
03:45Especially because I really do just come in and out of this thing.
03:50And so there wasn't really lots of pressure for me.
03:53And so I was able to just step in and enjoy it.
03:56It felt a bit like, what are those things?
03:59Secret cinema.
04:00Yes.
04:01It felt like that for me.
04:02And it was very, very enjoyable.
04:04What was it like when you found out, okay, you're going to play this character,
04:06but by the way, he dies?
04:07Like, do you open it and like, the irony?
04:10Well, no, because I do know that he, I mean, I said yes, knowing that he would die.
04:16No, it was brilliant.
04:19Scheduling wise, because I was doing something else at the time.
04:24And I really, really wanted to be part of it.
04:26And obviously it was, I think I was shooting for eight days or something.
04:30And there's so many heroes of mine in this cast.
04:32One to my right, one to my left.
04:34And so it was, yeah, it was a, it was a no brainer.
04:37Well, what do you want to do next?
04:39What's the future?
04:40Because this new look has given me like, more new casting ideas.
04:43This, well, no, yeah, this is, this isn't my personal choice.
04:46This is, this is for, this is for something that I will be, that I'm about to do.
04:49Whatever you've done that's different is really working.
04:51Really?
04:52Yeah, honestly.
04:53That's so kind of you.
04:54I really don't like it.
04:55As soon as she came in, I was like, who?
04:56And I was like, well, it's okay.
04:57That's so kind of you.
04:58No, I really, I can't wait to get it off, personally.
05:00But, you know, here we go.
05:01It's working.
05:02It's for work, so there you go.
05:03It's so lovely to see you.
05:04Yeah, you too.
05:05Thank you so much.
05:06Thank you so much.
05:07Wow, you take care.
05:08Honestly, you're looking amazing.
05:09Thank you, thank you.
05:10You really are.
05:11Hello, how are you?
05:12I haven't seen you since that night at Born With Teeth.
05:17I know, I know.
05:18That was a fun night.
05:19It was a really fun night, wasn't it?
05:21Honestly, and you were just so incredible in that as well.
05:23Thank you so much.
05:24I feel like we need a revival of it, just do it every now and then.
05:27I can probably still remember the words if you sort of put a gun to my head.
05:30So, let's see.
05:31We'll get me a shootie in the room and we'll just do it.
05:32Yes, please.
05:33No costumes, no set.
05:34We'll just have fun.
05:35You and shootie together just in general.
05:37Oh, thank you so much.
05:38I mean, anything that you do, just make TikToks and we'll watch it.
05:40We had so much fun together, we had so much fun.
05:42It was so, so great.
05:43Listen, Agatha Christie, Queen of Crime.
05:46Yeah.
05:47When this job came in, were you just like, yes?
05:49Yes, I, yeah, I was.
05:50I was desperate for it.
05:51I remember it coming in, I thought the part was really fun.
05:54I thought the story seemed, Chris Chibnall wrote such a, like, brilliant script.
05:58And so, my eyes lit up.
06:01And you were saying that you're often always found in a blouse.
06:04Yeah, I am often in a blouse.
06:06How do you pick your parts?
06:07In both my normal life and my job.
06:09I can imagine that about you.
06:10Yeah.
06:11How do you pick your parts now then?
06:12Do you say, well, how good is the quality of the blouse?
06:15Sort of, yeah.
06:16It's about the blouse.
06:17I say, is there a blouse?
06:18And who's made the blouse?
06:19And how soft is it?
06:22Absolutely.
06:23And I love murder mysteries.
06:24So do I.
06:25I love the treaters.
06:26I feel like I'm the find-out-ologist of the friend group.
06:29Are you?
06:30So you're a bit of a detective yourself?
06:31Yeah, yeah.
06:32They come to me if they're like, yeah, he doesn't have social media.
06:34I'm like, let me cook.
06:35Oh, sure, okay.
06:36You're hunting them down.
06:37Let me cook.
06:38Are you like that?
06:39You're hunting them down.
06:40Or what would you bring to a detective agency if you were to join?
06:42I'm good at social media stalking.
06:44No.
06:45Though I do also outsource it.
06:47I've got a few trusted confidants that can really do social media stalking if I need to
06:51do it.
06:52Which does happen every now and then.
06:53But I'm pretty good at it myself.
06:55But other than that, detective-wise, I don't think I offer a huge amount.
06:59I'm sort of quite easily distracted and a bit of a sort of...
07:04Yapper.
07:05Yeah.
07:06Me too, though.
07:07I like chitchat a bit too much.
07:08I wouldn't get anything done.
07:10We would reveal too much.
07:11Because if I was a detective with a sidekick, or I was the sidekick to a detective, both
07:16great things to be, I'd just be chatting to them.
07:19I'd be chatting.
07:20Come on.
07:21Let's hang out.
07:22And do you kind of feel like you're almost born in the wrong era?
07:24Because every time I see you in a period piece, I just think you're meant to be in
07:27that time.
07:28No, I know.
07:29My face seems to sort of make sense in every single time period except the modern day.
07:33No.
07:34But here I am.
07:35In the modern day.
07:36Would you believe it?
07:37I can see.
07:38Oh, listen.
07:39Modern day face works for me.
07:40Well, thank you very much.
07:41That means the world.
07:42And you're making blouses cool again.
07:43Do you know what I mean?
07:44Yeah.
07:45Well, I hope so.
07:46I hope to be sort of a blouse ambassador.
07:47It's so nice to see you again.
07:49Thank you so much.
07:50Lovely to see you too.
07:51Have a good one.
07:58Hello, Helena.
07:59We meet again.
08:00You look amazing.
08:01I love this far.
08:02Thank you very much.
08:03You're just so effortlessly cool.
08:04Did you know that?
08:05It's not effortless.
08:06It took for flipping hours.
08:07I know.
08:08I know the feeling.
08:09Hours.
08:10We all, us women, we have to spend hours doing this.
08:11Honestly.
08:12I'm so bored of it.
08:13Same.
08:14I mean, I like the dressing up.
08:15But the fact is, like, when you have to dress up, you know.
08:18Anyway.
08:19You would think with all the technology there would be a way to do it.
08:21It's lucky.
08:22It's lucky.
08:23It's lucky.
08:24It's lucky.
08:25You would think with all the technology there would be a way that we could just get working.
08:28AI.
08:29You know what I mean?
08:30We could do that.
08:31Well, there's filters now.
08:32But it's a dangerous game.
08:33No, but then they also, they take the clothes off us, don't they?
08:35I know.
08:36Well, this is a problem.
08:37It's gone too far.
08:38Yeah, but maybe they make me look better than I actually am.
08:40This is what I think.
08:42Positive about Grock.
08:43Is it Grock?
08:44Grock, yeah.
08:45It's a horrible game as well.
08:46Oh, it's hideous.
08:47The whole world's going just shiny.
08:50We're not even, like, a minute end.
08:52We don't even go there.
08:53But we need, because everything's going wrong, we need something as comfortable and reliable
08:59and entertaining as a good old Agatha Christie.
09:02I love it.
09:03We're not even a minute in and we're putting the world to rights.
09:05But that's what women do, right?
09:07Well, that's what we can do.
09:09Yeah.
09:10And then the men make her up.
09:11Exactly.
09:12But listen, love Agatha Christie.
09:14Queen of crime.
09:15What was it like starring in one of her series and bringing it to the screen?
09:19It was really fun to be sent it because I've always been a real admirer and then I just
09:23thought, I've always admired her and she's always fascinated me.
09:26But then I don't think I've actually read one book of hers.
09:29But I've been always aware of her.
09:31So it gave me an excuse to concentrate on her.
09:35And I read Lucy Worsley's biography, really fascinating.
09:39And the documentary, she's done a really good documentary series.
09:43And she is amazing and so fascinating in herself.
09:48So my character doesn't exist in the book.
09:51It's a man.
09:53It's the father.
09:54I'm Bundle's mom.
09:56But in the book, it's Bundle's dad.
09:58So Chibnall took my character and that's why I went to Lucy Worsley because I realized,
10:05I started becoming Agatha.
10:07Well, you know, going, imbibe, thinking that I could be Agatha and going around detecting.
10:13And I thought, I came to the read through going to Chibnall saying, it's Agatha, isn't
10:17it?
10:18You never know who Katram's first name is.
10:20I said, she's Agatha, isn't she?
10:21And there's a lot of Agatha in her and Agatha's mom and a lot of, there's a lot of autobiography
10:27that she put, put into, into this one.
10:29This is a young, young, um, uh, what's the word?
10:35Lead, you know, as opposed to a Marple and Quarrow.
10:38But, um, and you know, bundles like her speed, love for speedy cars and being a bundle of energy.
10:45I think Agatha had prodigious energy, but she also had a real sense of, um,
10:50she lost her dad very young and her life pre-dad and post-dad was very different.
10:57And I think that moment, that fulcrum is something that she explored in this.
11:02Absolutely.
11:03And I love a murder mystery.
11:04I also love the traitors.
11:06Can we please get you on the celebrity traitors?
11:09I think you'd be amazing.
11:10I really do.
11:11I haven't actually watched it.
11:12Isn't that terrible too?
11:13Is it?
11:14Maybe that's good though.
11:15Because if you went in not having watched it.
11:17Yeah.
11:18Yeah.
11:19Then will I, I think I'd be quite good at lying if that's what's required.
11:21But I also think you've been amazing faithful.
11:23I think you'd figure people out as well.
11:25I am pretty good on, um, figuring people out.
11:27Yes.
11:28I think.
11:29Yeah.
11:30Please.
11:31I'll talk to my bosses, right?
11:32Can you?
11:33Yeah, yeah.
11:34Is it an ITV show?
11:35No, it's a BBC show.
11:36Oh, okay.
11:37So don't talk to your bosses.
11:38Can you talk to the hypothetical bosses?
11:39Yeah, yeah.
11:40Or just put it out there in the universe.
11:41See?
11:42You call me out, you know?
11:43Yeah, yeah.
11:44Yeah, yeah.
11:45You can talk to your bosses if you want.
11:48A Helena Bonham Carter special traitors show.
11:50Yeah.
11:51Spin-off.
11:52On ITV.
11:53Yeah, why not?
11:54With nobody else.
11:55Just me alone.
11:56I'd watch it.
11:57In a castle.
11:58I'd watch it.
11:59A castle in the Highlands.
12:00I'll be your Claudia.
12:01Having fun with the wig and everything.
12:02Yeah.
12:03Yeah.
12:04Listen, absolute icon.
12:05So lovely to see you again.
12:06No, my too.
12:07Thank you so much.
12:08Very nice to meet you and chat.
12:09Aw, thank you.
12:10I love that.
12:11Take care.
12:12Aw.
12:13Not for long.
12:31You, you're mad.
12:32I'm so sorry, really 푸't sure, really?
12:35Bye.
12:36Bye.
12:37Have a great day.
12:43Bye.
12:51Bye.
