00:00Well, pageantry is not just about beauty, it's about purpose, passion, and using your voice to make a difference.
00:05In every crowd, may kwento po ng hard work, dedication, and commitment to serve others.
00:11That's right, Diane. Kaya this Wednesday morning, mga kasama natin,
00:14sa Ms. World, Quezon City 2026, Aisha Rose Simpson,
00:19para pag-usapan ang kanyang preparation, advocacy, at ang journey na tinatahak niya.
00:24Good morning, and welcome back dito sa Rising Shine Pilipinas, Aisha.
00:27Good morning. Thank you guys so much for having me.
00:30Thank you for being with us this morning.
00:31Nakasama na natin siya before kasi nag-performs siya.
00:34Yes, she's a dancer.
00:36But that will focus on your pageantry.
00:38So how did your pageantry journey begin?
00:41So I've been watching pageantry since I was a little girl actually.
00:45It was a bonding thing for me, my two sisters, and my dad.
00:49We've been watching pageantry ever since.
00:51And when I was eight years old, I believe, we went to Miss Universe as well live.
00:55And we've always admired the beauty queens up on the stage.
00:59It was so inspiring as well.
01:01And I started my own personal pageant journey when I was 14 years old.
01:05Okay.
01:05For Miss New Mexico Teen USA.
01:08The first time I joined, I won First Center Up.
01:10And then after much prayer and deliberation, I went back the next year and won the title.
01:15And actually, my first Filipino pageant, and of course, Filipino pageantry is like nothing else,
01:22is actually Miss World QC, which is where I'm representing now in the Miss World Philippines pageant.
01:27Okay.
01:28Nagda-tagalog naman itong si Ace.
01:30Pwede naman.
01:30Ano ba yung pinaka-challenging na part ng preparation mo dito sa Miss World Philippines 2025 as the Quezon City representative?
01:39So pageant, my preparation has been very holistic.
01:42We have to do physical.
01:44We have to do the question and answer.
01:45So brands.
01:46We have to do the passerella training.
01:48And really, I think the most challenging will probably be consistency just because the scheduling is so busy now that we've started the pageant.
01:55We have call times for like 5 a.m. and it's like all week, six days a week.
02:00So that's the most challenging really is just staying consistent so that I can be at my best during the competition.
02:06What's your advocacy and why it is personally important to you?
02:09So my advocacy is called SEED, which stands for Sports and Dance Initiative.
02:14So I am a dancer and an athlete.
02:16I play pickleball and I have been dancing since I was three years old.
02:20I'm a homeschool student and so social connections were harder for me and my siblings to achieve.
02:26So my parents planted a seed when I was younger, teaching us dance and gymnastics and then allowing us to do competitions and auditions.
02:34For example, PGT Season 5.
02:37And through those avenues, we were able to get those social connections.
02:41So we were also able to, it was exposure on the stage.
02:45It allowed us to...
02:46I'm sorry, it's AGT.
02:48PGT.
02:49PGT Season 5.
02:50PGT Season 5, yes.
02:51And so those kind of avenues, we're able to sharpen our skills in speaking, in confidence, in stage presence.
02:59And through SEED, we have been able to reach 7,000 students internationally in Luzon, Visayas, in Mindanao, in Vietnam, as well as United States of America.
03:09We use sports and dance as a way to advocate for the physical, mental, and emotional health of today's youth and children.
03:15Okay.
03:16Beauty and brains.
03:17You're 18 years old, right?
03:19Yes.
03:20But it's nice, but it's nice.
03:21What's your height?
03:22I am 5'6", 5'7".
03:245'6", 5'7".
03:25What's your height, right?
03:26Someday, you can also join other international pageants as well.
03:30You're in the same industry.
03:31And I'm wondering, how will you use your platform as Miss World Quezon City to create a positive impact in your community?
03:47Well, clearly, you have been using your passion to create impact already.
03:51But how do you plan to actually widen this advocacy?
03:55Yes, so I am actually an ambassador dress for organizations like the International Sports Federation, Pickle Lab, and Batang Pickleball, as well as the most recent Pickle Bells, which is a women's only pickleball initiative.
04:07So through those, we have been able to not only teach pickleball, we have been able to share our talents of dance and gymnastics as well.
04:15And we use that to teach people pickleball, to teach pickleball, to teach dance to not only students and children, but also anyone who's interested.
04:23That's good.
04:24Nakakatawa, no?
04:25Yes.
04:25Very talented.
04:26Yes, I know.
04:27Beauty and Brains talaga, tsaka yung kanyang way pagsagot.
04:31Ready na for Q&A.
04:33Yeah, ready na.

05:01You're holding a, what's that, a book?
05:02Yes, so this is actually a book that I wrote.
05:05It's a book of poetry called The Portrait of Words.
05:08Okay, it's about?
05:10So, there are...
05:11Can I take a look on that book?
05:12Yes, of course.
05:13A Portrait of Words, Acero Simpson.
05:16It's a poetry book actually.
05:18Okay.
05:18Over two dozen poems.
05:20There are themes like biblical stories, emotions, the human nature.
05:25I love writing and poetry is the best words in the best order and it's one of my favorite mediums of writing.
05:31Okay.
05:31Okay.
05:32Ano pang hindi mo kaya gawin?
05:33Parang lahat kaya na wini-esa, ano?
05:36In fairness.
05:36And of course, please support our Miss World candidates.
05:40So, you're representing Quezon City.
05:42Yes.
05:42Ilan ba yung mga candidates for this year?
05:44Uh, 24, I believe.
05:4524.
05:45Yes.
05:46Ang mag-tatagisan para sa isang corona.
05:47This is a new book, no?
05:49Kaka-publish lang.
05:51I'm not, yeah.
05:51I'm working on getting it self-published.
05:53Oh, self-publish.
05:54I mean, kakagawa lang, kakagawa niya lang mismo from this.
05:57A portrait of words, in fairness.
06:00Maraming salamat, Eze.
06:02And all the best on your journey bilang Miss World Philippines Quezon City.
06:06Thank you so much.
