00:00We go to Cuba, where President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez visited the Venezuelan Embassy in Havana

00:05to sign the Book of Condolences for the 32 Cuban martyrs who died during the U.S. attack on January 3rd

00:12and the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Celia Flores.

00:16During his visit, President Miguel Díaz-Canel said,

00:19paid tribute to the martyrs and reaffirmed the brotherhood between both peoples

00:24and the firm condemnation of imperialist attempts in the region.

00:27The remains of the 32 Cubans who fell in the line of duty in Venezuela

00:32will arrive in the country this Thursday, January 15th.

00:37The first tribute will be at the José Martí International Airport

00:40and then they will be transferred along Rancho Bolleros Avenue

00:44to the headquarters of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

00:48Starting at 10am, the public may go to the Ministry of Armed Forces headquarters to pay tribute

00:54and on the 18th, tributes will be held in the territories of each of the combatants

00:59and simultaneously ceremonies will be held in all municipalities.

01:04The remains will be buried at 4pm on January 16th.

01:08Also, army troops in western, central and eastern Cuba began preparations for the defence of the country

01:19in addition to ratifying the readiness of the revolutionary armed forces to protect national sovereignty.

01:25The institution reported that these combat preparations exercises are intended to measure

01:30and increase the response capacity of the armed forces in any scenario that threatens national security.

01:37In addition, they emphasise that the activities included combined classes in military units,

01:43tactical classes, shooting classes and practical exercises by air defence units.

01:47Finally, they emphasise that territorial activities facilitate the participation of the Cuban people

01:53in the defence of the island's sovereignty and peace.
