00:01No, I mean, listen, I give credit where credit's due.
00:04I mean, Shanahan did have a game plan in place
00:07to expose that secondary in the first half,
00:09and Christian McCaffrey does what he does.
00:11When he's healthy, he finds ways to get open in the receiving game,
00:14and credit San Francisco, heart of a champion.
00:17They stepped up, banged up.
00:19I don't know how far they will go in this run,
00:22but they beat up on a team that, you know,
00:25just didn't have the killer instinct, and that's the bottom line.
00:28As much as we love them, and I love them on paper,
00:31the Eagles didn't display the heart of a champion
00:33the way they did last year.
00:35They didn't want it as much this year.
00:37And I know it's on Petulo, and it's on the play calling,
00:40but at the end of the day, even if the play calling isn't there,
00:43you will yourself somehow, some way to get that victory.
00:46And it's unfortunate that they couldn't pull it out
00:49because I think it's a wasted season and a foundation
00:52that I think looking back is like a missed opportunity
00:56because, again, I still think on paper they were one of the better teams
01:00in the NFL and were lined up potentially to win a Super Bowl this year.
01:05Yeah, and instead they let a team that is essentially a zombie battalion
01:08beat them who lost more guys.
01:12Now, listen, you know, humble me.
01:16Niners preseason picked to win the NFC.
01:18You know, I mean, they got life.
01:20They feel like they have no life is the problem.
01:23Hey, Joe, I don't know anybody out there who I'm included in this,
01:30holds Niners futures, and is thinking, path is clear.
01:33Now that they got through Philly, or, oh, I saw something I didn't think I'd see.
01:38The only way they were going to get through was if Philly beat themselves,
01:40and that's exactly what Philly did.
01:42Look, maybe San Frank can go off and, hey, they just played Seattle.
01:46You know, it could be difficult to beat a team so quickly, right,
01:49in short order like that twice for the Seahawks.
01:53Obviously, the team split the regular season meetings, but it's just the Niners.
01:59Here's, I think, the best way to put it into perspective.
02:02San Francisco's odds to win the NFC today are the same exact that I bet them
02:06before the year, and it doesn't feel like a mistake.
02:09No, I mean, it's going to be an uphill battle, but I will say,
02:12even though they have to go on the road to Seattle, and it is Seattle,
02:16you have the Sam Darnold effect in that ballgame.
02:19And again, you know, big game Sam Darnold, and yes, he's performed to a capacity
02:25up until this point to get them the number one seed.
02:27He erased some of the negativity from last year, and defensively,
02:31Seattle is a much superior team to the unit that San Francisco is putting out there.
02:37But you do have a Super Bowl quarterback in Brock Purdy.
02:43You do have potentially an MVP or Offensive Player of the Year candidate in Christian McCaffrey
02:49that could take a game over, and any given Sunday, they have an opportunity to win that game.
02:56Obviously, seven-point dogs is not going to be easy going up against the number one seed,
03:01but we saw the number one seed last year, late nine and a half, and lose that game by double digits, right?
03:08I'm just saying, like, styles make fights.
03:12It's going to be very difficult how Seattle plays if they don't allow Sam Darnold
03:17to throw it 30 to 35 times in that game and limit, obviously, you know,
03:23methodical passing attack and use the battering ram, Charbonnet and Walker.
03:27They should win it and cover this game fairly easy the way they did in San Francisco.
03:33But, again, you could go out there, and we've seen it time and time again,
03:37where all of a sudden, why aren't they running the football,
03:40and Darnold's got two interceptions on the first two drives?
03:43I do think there is something dangerous about a pedigree team who still does have some stars.
03:51And, look, the San Francisco 40th, man, I'll tell you this, I heard this on the pregame show.
03:56So, Shanahan, every year he's made the playoffs, has gone to the NFC title game.
04:02Yeah, it just misses it.
04:03So, I was like, oh, boy.
04:05Shanahan has pedigree.
04:07Again, I mean, some of that pedigree involves blowing double-digit Super Bowl leads,
04:10but he has pedigree.
04:12And somehow, and it stinks, like it's not funny is not the right word.
04:17I guess ironic, that in a year where every superstar niner's been injured,
04:23the one you worry the most about getting hurt has a record-breaking touch total,
04:29and he's just fine.
04:31Now, again, oddly, McCaffrey can't run the ball.
04:35Like you mentioned, the 15 for 48, not surprising at all.
04:38But it's just, yeah, it's fine.
04:39There's six for 66, two scores in the air.
04:41Checkdowns, he's wide open.
04:43Nickelback, linebacker, he's catching the football.
04:45He didn't get eight yards every play through the air.
