00:03President Donald Trump said the U.S. has halted Venezuelan oil shipments and financial support to
00:07Cuba and urged Havana to negotiate with Washington. Trump said Venezuela has not shipped oil to Cuba
00:13since the U.S. capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro earlier this month, citing a
00:18strict U.S. oil embargo on the OPEC country. At the same time, Caracas and Washington are
00:24advancing a $2 billion deal to supply up to 50 million barrels of Venezuelan oil to the U.S.
00:29with proceeds placed in U.S. Treasury-supervised accounts. Trump said no oil or money would go to
00:35Cuba. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez rejected Trump's claims and said Cuba has the
00:42right to import fuel from willing suppliers. Venezuela remains Cuba's largest oil supplier,
00:47while Mexico has recently emerged as an alternative source. For all things money, visit Benzinga.com.
