00:30Kitty lives in Gelsenkirchen in western Germany.

00:35Her house is furnished from top to bottom like a museum.

00:38From the television, record player, to the washing machine,

00:43everything is from the past and still in mint condition.

00:48I can't have a washing machine from 2025.

00:51I wouldn't like the design at all.

00:54The kitchen is from the early 60s, and I want appliances that match,

00:58in terms of design and manufacture year.

01:01I really enjoy using them, and it's exciting.

01:07What noises does it make? Does it clean the laundry?

01:11So, how and when did Kitty's love affair with this era begin?

01:14My love for the 60s started with music.

01:22When I was little, I was allowed to listen to my parents' records

01:24every Sunday on my grandmother's record player.

01:29And somehow, through the music and the things I was allowed to watch on TV,

01:35for example, I got to watch I Dream of Jeannie every day.

01:38I fell a bit in love with that era, even as a child.

01:44Kitty's enthusiasm for the 60s is also evident in her dressing room.

01:48Her closets are crammed with clothes and accessories from that era

01:52that have held up surprisingly well.

01:55The quality is definitely very good,

01:59because you can still wear them even though they're 60 years old or more.

02:25Kitty's retro lifestyle doesn't stop at home.

02:28She also drives a 1965 VW Beetle.

02:46Kitty's taken her passion for this era to her place of work.
