00:00What are the main takeaways from conceding that goal and how do you feel about your side's response?
00:06The hardest thing in football is when you press high,
00:10the moment when they break and you have to come back and still have a decent enough organisation
00:16to stop shots and stop crosses.
00:18That's the hardest thing to do because you are running backwards to your own goal
00:22and you have to prevent them from not shooting.
00:25I think we could have done better for sure in the moment there.
00:30It's a little bit the same as what happened with Mitoma,
00:33so we have to look at it, I have to look at it again and then we analyse.
00:37But we do this each game, we look good at it, we are critical to ourselves
00:40because the only way to improve and to make the next step is to create more clean sheets,
00:45to avoid less, GGO and Trav make less saves.
00:51So we have to watch it back and go again.
00:56Hi Pep, looking ahead to Newcastle on Tuesday,
01:00there have been a lot of changes at this club over the last 12 months or so,
01:03a lot of new players.
01:04How important do you feel a first trophy would be for this group?
01:09You have players who have won everything, you have Rodri, Bernardo, Ruben, all these guys.
01:15GGO last year won the big one.
01:20It always helps when you reach finals, when you get into difficult games.
01:25We want to play as many games as possible this year,
01:28give us the most difficult games because with this we can improve.
01:32It would be unbelievable to go to Wembley.
01:35I always feel that, especially in the beginning of the season,
01:39it's like a trampoline, everybody's playing, everybody's involved,
01:42everybody knows there's a next game because of the League Cup.
01:45Now it's the semi-final and we say it's one leg away now
01:50and then we have to put ourselves in a good position to take them here home.
01:54There's a long time between, so that's really strange by the way.
01:57And then we want to go to Wembley because we all know that stadium,
02:01the history of this club inside the League Cup as well.
02:06So we want to do that again.
02:08For players, it's always like this to gain confidence and it's the big games.
02:13It's going away to Real Madrid and win there.
02:15It's going to Newcastle and try to get a good result.
02:19We will try that.
02:21And the other Pep, he's won so much, so hard over the years.
02:25Is he still as hungry as ever?
02:26Do you see any signs of him slowing down?
02:28The ambitious ones, they don't have limit.
02:31And he has passion and ambition now.
02:35Just a gentleman in the corner, thank you.
02:38Have you got a message for the Exeter City fans who are travelling home?
02:51Obviously there's not a lot going to come to lose to anyone.
02:57Have you got a message for the Exeter City fans?
03:00Yes, I have.
03:01I think they were, I have to say, imagine your team is losing
03:10and have a goal, goal and then a goal.
03:15And the way they show support to the team,
03:20the way they sang and the way they celebrated their goal,
03:25it felt like they got a draw.
03:29It's special and I hope that they have a safe trip back
03:33because it's such a long way.
03:34And if you see how many they came to watch,
03:37then you'll see that your club is alive.
03:39So that I think is the most important.
03:43We should have one question here.
03:45Last one there, thank you.
03:49Hi Pep, I just wanted to ask about Max Ellen.
03:51He's had an incredible week being recalled from the Championship,
03:54making his Premier League debut and scoring his first goal for the club
03:57all in the span of a week.
03:59How impressed were you with his performance today
04:01and how he's dealt with being sprung into the City squad?
04:03Yeah, it must have been the strangest week for him,
04:07being at Watford, getting the call and tomorrow you're here
04:11and then we say you play two days later.
04:13You see the way he plays, he brings calmness into the build-up,
04:21how he creates 2v1 with Rodri all the time to step,
04:24to be close to the structure, to break lines,
04:26the way he finds the pockets,
04:28the way even how he deals with the long balls when he's free
04:32to make the game calm in these moments.
04:34and when needed he can clear it as well.
04:37He needs to make steps with us now.
04:40But we're really happy that he's back
04:43and it's a sign for a very healthy club
04:48that these boys from the academy can come
04:50and make an impression straight away.
04:52Overall, I have to say all of these boys are humble
04:59and they want to work really hard and that's how I see them
05:03and I'm really happy with that.
05:05We are really happy with that.
05:07Thank you everyone, have a good evening.
