00:21Andrea was the captain in the Air Force.
00:25So she wants to get that American dream as well.
00:28They are both alpha types, and they're hitting head to head.
00:36I start to see a little rage in him.
00:39Andrea is not backing down.
00:42Our family is holding on to hope that a missing Texas mom will be found.
00:48Andrea, I will kill me all the time.

00:53It was like sitting and looking at evil.
00:58Andrin was so energetic.
01:09Andreen was so energetic.
01:27She's like a leader.
01:30She has a contagious spirit.
01:33She's courageous, and that's what I admire about her.
01:36Andreen is very intelligent, and also he's a loving, charismatic person, so anyone would fall in love with him.
01:49Anything they do, it's love.
01:51They're on top of the world.
01:54Which she and the husband know, I would call them a power couple.
01:58Andreen McDonald is born September 23rd, 1989, in Port Antonio, Jamaica.
02:12She was a beautiful little girl growing up.
02:20Andreen came 17 years after Cindy.
02:24At first, I was a little bit jealous, but we love each other dearly.
02:33She always tells me, I'm not a follower, I'm a leader.
02:38Everything she does is fast.
02:40She's an A-plus student.
02:42She's an alpha personality.
02:45Andreen always getting high marks in school.
02:50I realized that Andreen is really bright.
02:55I was proud because, you see, my country, it's a laid-back place.
02:59So you have to really have ambition to really put your foot forward.
03:06She's a go-getter.
03:08That's what they call him in Jamaica.
03:09She's a go-getter.
03:10May 2009, and Andreen meets 30-year-old Andre McDonald at a family event in Jamaica.
03:23She called me one day and said,
03:25Mommy, I meet somebody.
03:29He was the captain in the Air Force.
03:33He was living in America.
03:36So I said, oh, okay.
03:38I said, you like him?
03:41And she said, yes, she liked him.
03:45Born February 1979, Andre graduates high school and studies electronics in Florida before joining the Air Force in 2004.
04:01Andre is at the cusp of his life.
04:05Andre knows what he wants and go at what he wants as well.
04:12I think this is what Andreen likes about him.
04:18They married just two months after meeting in July 2009.
04:23We were surprised but happy at the same time.
04:28Andreen joins Andre in Florida, where he's a software engineer for the Air Force.
04:36She do the laundry, she keep the house, and he loves her cooking.
04:43Everybody always heard about the American dream.
04:46So she wants to get that American dream as well.
04:49She was happy and they were, I would say, no, on top of the world.
04:54When Andre transfers to Lackland Air Base in 2010, the couple moved to San Antonio, Texas.
05:10Andreen got a job for a water filtration company, and she also goes to University of Texas, San Antonio.
05:17And she was studying finance.
05:23Then, the newlyweds welcome a baby daughter into the family.
05:29We were all excited.
05:32She was a very good mom.
05:36Andreen had loved her baby so much.
05:40Things was, you know, started to bloom for both of them.
05:44With Andre juggling the baby and her studies,
05:49Maureen joins them in San Antonio.
05:53I would like to take care of the owls and take care of their meals.
06:02And in 2011, Andre graduates magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree.
06:09Andre loved working, and she just upped that drive.
06:13She did not want to sit down and depend on her husband.
06:18She wanted to do something for herself.
06:21And she said to me,
06:23I said, Mommy, I'm going to start a business.
06:28Andre launches her own assisted living company.
06:33The name of the business was Starlight Homes.
06:36She turned the home into a business.
06:39Stop working for people, nine to five, and be our own boss.
06:48Andre was not on board at first.
06:52So she did it on her own.
06:56Just go ahead.
06:57Whether you want to agree yes or no,
06:59she's going to just go and do it.
07:00She didn't have a problem to get people in our homes.
07:07The business is growing.
07:09Income is coming.
07:11It looks prosperous, you know.
07:16With Andre and Andre's relationship,
07:19they seem great on the outside.
07:22But in the inside,
07:25tensions start to grow.
07:33At one point, Andre had bought a laptop.
07:38She gave him the one that they were using before,
07:41and she take the new one,
07:44and he was upset.
07:45And he smashed the laptop,
07:55break it up,
07:56and threw it in the garbage.
07:59I was frightened.
08:00I was so shocked,
08:01because I didn't expect him to behave like that.
08:05That's where I start to see a little rage in him.
08:09I would say Jamaican men
08:13don't like women with so much power.
08:18It's like it makes them feel less of a man.
08:23Well, I think that's what happened to Andre.
08:27And I said to her,
08:28I said,
08:28if you're not happy or you're not comfortable,
08:31you need to leave.
08:33And she said,
08:34Mommy, I'm okay.
08:34I can manage.
08:37She's not giving up.
08:39She's so determined.
08:42It's only death
08:44could stop that girl.
09:01It's 2013,
09:03and Andrean's business,
09:04Starlight Homes,
09:05is growing,
09:07creating tension at home.
09:09I found out about the cracks in the marriage
09:12from my mother,
09:14because she lives in the home.
09:18And she will tell me that,
09:21you know,
09:21they have a fight.
09:24You get mad,
09:25you know,
09:26and want to fight.
09:29Andrean's not backing down.
09:31Well,
09:31when those things started to surface
09:37about his personality
09:39and his character,
09:41I am saying that
09:42those are red flags.
09:43At one point,
09:45she was thinking of leaving him.
09:48This moment,
09:49they are okay.
09:49Next moment,
09:50they are not okay.
09:53Her business was moving.
09:56She was doing well.
09:57In 2016,
10:01Andrean's promoted to major
10:02and sent away for six months training
10:04in Biloxi, Mississippi.
10:06In his absence,
10:10Andrean,
10:11I think she gets to reflect
10:13and absorb
10:14the type of person he is
10:16and try to get
10:18a better understanding
10:19of what the relationship
10:21is about
10:22and where it is going.
10:25When Andrean comes back,
10:28the vibes was
10:29bittersweet.
10:34They were celebrating
10:36the promotion that he got
10:38and also,
10:39she discussed with him
10:41that she wants her mother
10:43to have one of the homes.
10:49So,
10:50when she come up
10:51with certain ideas
10:52that he doesn't agree on,
10:55they fuss about it.
10:57The fists knocking together
10:58all the time
10:59and the new business
11:02that they built,
11:03it contributed
11:03to the fights.
11:05So,
11:06as power increased,
11:09fight increased.
11:17Reconciling for their daughter,
11:19the couple move
11:19into a new luxury home,
11:21just in time
11:22to celebrate Christmas 2017.

19:02that was one of our goals
19:04So this morning

19:05with Emmanuel Pentecostal Church
19:07and we're on the side
19:09of the street

19:10and we're giving out
19:11food for those
19:12less fortunate
19:13and who don't have
19:14food to eat

19:15food for everybody
19:17André dealt
19:20with André's outburst
19:22She overworked herself
19:26to keep her mind
19:29occupied
19:30All the food is gone
19:32so we're very thankful
19:34for everyone
19:34that came out
19:35and helped
19:36and everybody that donated
19:37She came here
19:46and she made her name
19:48in San Antonio
19:49as one of the youngest
19:51business person
19:54in San Antonio

19:57She was so happy that day
19:59It's like she was

20:01and we're all happy
20:04She was too powerful

20:15he didn't like that
20:16He thinks he owned her

20:25He couldn't stand the success
20:30It was too much for him
20:32It's February 2019
20:40and André and Andreen
20:42host a party at home
20:44Andreen said to me

20:46I'm gonna do a birthday party

20:50because he was party
20:52at the time
20:53and then the
20:56black and gold party
20:58and it was
21:01so good
21:02She just
21:07loved to do things
21:08you know

21:11she was saying

21:12that that's a good
21:13thing to do
21:14She is a dream
21:16That was a party
21:20that everybody
21:22talks about
21:22It was such a grand time
21:26and then after that
21:27happy time
21:28then disaster
21:3113 days after the party
21:38Andreen does not turn up
21:39at work
21:40About 7 o'clock
21:43Friday morning
21:44I got a call
21:46One of the workers
21:49said to me
21:50she's trying to get
21:52in touch with Andreen
21:53and she
21:53she did not
21:55get a hold of her
21:56Then we start
21:58to get worried
21:59Bexar County
22:04sheriffs
22:05receive a call
22:06from concerned
22:07friends and family
22:08We got a call
22:10for a welfare check
22:11Some family members
22:14felt something
22:14was odd
22:15about not having
22:17been able to reach
22:18Andreen McDonald
22:19at that time
22:19We initially responded
22:23We made entry
22:26to the residence
22:26with the assistance
22:27of the family members
22:28In the bedroom
22:31there was what appeared
22:33to be a blood smear
22:34of some sort
22:35on the wall
22:35Additionally
22:38in the backyard
22:39of the residence
22:39there seemed to be
22:41evidence that somebody
22:42had been burning
22:43something
22:43Certainly somebody
22:45that's looking
22:46to get rid of clothing
22:47You know
22:48you donate them
22:49to charity
22:50you give them
22:52to a friend
22:52you sell them
22:53in an estate sale
22:54or a garage sale
22:55So that's certainly
22:57not something
22:57you would expect
22:58to find in the backyard
22:59of an affluent
23:00neighborhood like this
23:01is a burn pile
23:02of some sort
23:02The fact that
23:05you're burning them
23:06in the backyard
23:06That's another factor
23:08that maybe by itself
23:09doesn't seem
23:10as suspicious
23:11but you start
23:12adding it
23:13to all of the other
23:14things that are
23:14happening
23:15We've got
23:17a very young
23:18beautiful
23:19very successful
23:21businesswoman
23:21that's missing
23:22We know that
23:25friends feel like
23:26something is amiss
23:27Andreen had said
23:30If you're not able
23:30to find me
23:31assume that something
23:32happened to me
23:33and Andreen had
23:34something to do
23:34with it
23:35And so really
23:37very early on
23:38the investigation
23:38we knew
23:39something was amiss
23:40At this point
23:43what we know
23:43is Andreen is missing
23:45We're certainly
23:47not ruling out
23:48that she may have
23:48disappeared
23:49of her own free will
23:50Maybe she was
23:51unhappy with her
23:52marriage
23:52She decided
23:53to run away
23:54But we're starting
23:55to look at evidence
23:57Soon thereafter
24:01Andre actually
24:02came to the scene
24:03His story was
24:05that he had
24:06received a call
24:07that Andreen
24:08was injured
24:08He said he went
24:11to the hospital
24:11There was somebody
24:12there named
24:13McDonald
24:13And he came back
24:15to us
24:15told us
24:16she's fine
24:17she's at the hospital
24:17He was just
24:20assuming we were
24:20going to take
24:20his word for it
24:21and say
24:22well case closed
24:23We found
24:25very quickly
24:25that that story
24:26was not adding up
24:27And then in fact
24:31we did have
24:31a missing person
24:32on our hands
24:32Part of the county
24:37actually in the city
24:38of San Antonio
24:39Certainly something
24:43that raises
24:43even more red flags
24:45for us
24:45Why is it a priority
24:48for him to be
24:48arming himself
24:49at this point?
24:51It could be
24:51that he's trying
24:52to plan
24:52and escape
24:53from town
24:53Maybe he's going
24:55to end it all
24:56by killing himself
24:57We made the decision
25:02at that point
25:02to take him down
25:04there outside
25:04the store
25:05We knew we had
25:07to get him
25:07taken down
25:07to the ground
25:08quickly
25:08and get him
25:13immobilized
25:14to keep him
25:15from using
25:15any weapons
25:15he may have
25:16purchased
25:16inside the store
25:17Believing Andre
25:21is buying the gun
25:22to commit suicide
25:23deputies detain him
25:25Being that he
25:27was an active duty
25:28Air Force officer
25:29they were able
25:30to help us out
25:31with detaining him
25:31on base
25:32while we continue
25:33to conduct
25:33our investigation
25:34Air Force command
25:36placed Andre
25:37under observation
25:38at San Antonio
25:39Military Medical Center
25:41for 72 hours
25:43At Solitude Cove
25:46deputies execute
25:49a second search warrant
25:50We found some things
25:53that had not been
25:54present the night
25:54before
25:55Some gas cans
25:57that ended up
25:58having gasoline
25:59in them
25:59Shovel
26:02Large trash bags
26:05And then we find
26:07a hammer
26:09with blood on it
26:10These are all things
26:11that could be used
26:13to conceal a body
26:14destroy evidence
26:15destroy a body
26:16whatever it may be
26:17And then the trash can
26:19in the kitchen
26:20We find the really
26:23key piece of evidence
26:24Receipts showing
26:27the purchase
26:27of some of these
26:28household items
26:28together
26:29And then somebody
26:32went through the process
26:33of destroying
26:33these receipts
26:34shredding it up
26:36into little pieces
26:37throwing it
26:38into the trash can
26:38Deputies build a timeline
26:43of Andre's movements
26:45The receipts were
26:47from a Lowe's
26:48home improvement store
26:50several miles away
26:51And we're able to see
26:57the fact that Andre
26:58was the one
26:59that purchased
26:59these items
27:00We were also able
27:05to determine
27:05that he went to a bank
27:07and withdrew cash
27:08I believe
27:10that he was trying
27:11to cover up
27:11a digital trail
27:12by purchasing
27:12those items
27:13in cash
27:13We've got
27:16a lot of
27:17small bits
27:18of evidence
27:18circumstantial evidence
27:19if you will
27:20the burned
27:21remnants of clothing
27:22the blood stain
27:24in the bedroom
27:25At this point
27:26we think
27:27that he's already
27:28done
27:28quite a bit
27:29of work
27:30to conceal her
27:31from discovery
27:32We couldn't
27:33prove up a murder
27:33but we certainly
27:34had enough
27:35circumstantial evidence
27:36to charge him
27:38with tampering
27:38with physical evidence
27:39And that's what
27:42he was arrested for
27:43Deputies take custody
27:47of Andre
27:48and transport him
27:49to Bexar County Jail
27:51We continued
27:52to comb the countryside
27:54literally
27:55for any other evidence
27:56that we could find
27:57We're still
27:59desperately trying
28:01to find
28:01Andrine
28:02Andrine
28:05Andrine lived
28:06in a
28:07high security
28:08community
28:09with a security
28:10gate at the front
28:11So when somebody
28:12like that
28:13comes up missing
28:14the community
28:15at large
28:15start to wonder
28:16was she taken?
28:18Did somebody
28:18kidnap her?
28:20Do I and my family
28:21have something
28:21to worry about?
28:23All family
28:24is holding on
28:25to hope
28:26that a missing
28:26Texas mom
28:27will be found
28:28There was fear
28:30in all of us
28:31that she's dead
28:33But we all
28:37were still
28:37having hope
28:38This weekend
28:41investigators
28:42are searching
28:42a 28,000 acre
28:44military training site
28:45We have a huge county
28:47It's about
28:481,200 square miles
28:50We have got
28:51all kinds of
28:52different terrain
28:53in our county
28:53We've got creeks
28:54And up north
28:55we've actually
28:56got the beginnings
28:57of what we call
28:57the Texas Hill Country
28:58I have never
29:01been part of
29:02a search
29:03that was
29:03quite as big
29:04as the one
29:05for Andrine
29:06Hundreds of
29:09civilian volunteers
29:10came out
29:10on foot
29:11on horseback
29:12in little
29:14ATVs
29:15with drones
29:16Something is
29:24definitely wrong
29:24now
29:25Because it's
29:27the reality
29:27not facing
29:28me
29:28because
29:29Andrine
29:30not gonna
29:32justice
29:33Andre McDonald
29:40you see him
29:40there
29:41charged with
29:41tampering
29:42with evidence
29:43in this case
29:43Several weeks
29:45later
29:46we were able
29:46to confirm
29:47what we already
29:47suspected
29:48that the blood
29:49found on the
29:49hammer
29:49the blood
29:50found at the
29:50residence
29:51was Andrine's
29:52blood
29:52We had a whole
29:54bunch of
29:55circumstantial evidence
29:56a lot of
29:56little pieces
29:57of evidence
29:57what we were
29:58lacking
29:58was a body
29:58The husband

30:01could be closer
30:02to leaving

30:03even though
30:03no one knows
30:04exactly what

30:14strongly believe
30:15murdered his
30:17wife and

30:24pretty strongly
30:24that it's
30:25going to be
30:25very difficult
30:26to find
30:26her body
30:27Both search
30:32crews are
30:32reportedly
30:33zeroing in
30:34on an area
30:35in their search
30:36for a missing
30:36Texas mom
30:37It was just
30:39a freak
30:40circumstance
30:41that everything
30:42came together
30:43and it came
30:44about in the
30:44weirdest way
30:45possible
30:45Months prior
30:48a cow had
30:49died of
30:49natural causes
30:50in the middle
30:51of a field
30:51We had a rancher
30:54that was working
30:54on a property
30:56As he went
30:58to the remains
30:58of the cow
30:59he found
31:02what appeared
31:02to be human
31:03remains
31:03intermingled
31:04and under
31:05the cow remains
31:06The body
31:08of a woman
31:08found
31:09partially
31:09burned
31:10and we
31:12all thought
31:13okay this
31:14is it
31:14we found
31:15her
31:15Bexar County
31:23deputies
31:24respond to
31:25a report
31:25of human
31:26remains
31:27The bones
31:28themselves
31:28are about
