43:41But for those of you who don't know it,
43:44here's the short version.
43:47My parents were both junior hockey coaches.
43:50And they were hit by a drunk driver
43:54when I was 12 years old.
43:57Mercifully for them,
43:58they died instantly.
44:00Mercifully for me,
44:03the St. Thomas Scholarships existed.
44:04I didn't have anybody else to help me.
44:10I had a lot of memories,
44:12a love of hockey,
44:13and a huge hole in my heart.
44:17St. Thomas filled it with hope.
44:20The hope of a new family.
44:23Things weren't always easy.
44:25You know, they never are for anybody.
44:27But in hockey,
44:30I found what I was missing.
44:32First at my high school,
44:34then later at college,
44:35and now here with the Admirals.
44:37And I never looked back
44:39because I never had to.
44:44The family I craved,
44:46the family that I needed,
44:47that I still need today,
44:51hockey gave it to me.
44:53And St. Thomas gave me hockey.
44:57So from the bottom of my heart,
