00:00That's the freeway series game one between the Dodgers and the Angels we are fired up for this rivalry matchup Dodgers and the Angels just about ready for the first game of three this weekend and another nice night with the temperature in the mid 60s and Dustin May ready to start this series opener he swings and misses the sinker dives under the swing for the first out of the night and that one misses so there you go a
00:30one out walk for Nolan Shawna well get up you want Moncada that is ripped out to right field going back on that as Paez and he watches it go first pitch ambush Moncada goes yard as the Angels two Dodgers nothing early and right there you want Moncada he's ready gives the Angels a two nothing lead here in the top of the first as Jack Kohanowitz takes the mound for the halos tall lanky right hander
01:00six foot seven two hundred and thirty pounds he welcomes the reigning MVP to the batter's box the former angel Shohei Ohtani before the first pitch he's all class always has been a tip of the cap towards the halos dugout on this three one he swings grounds one throw and a lead off baseball Ohtani stays on and starts this game with a single ten stolen bases for Shohei this year pretty good lead over there
01:30and Anderson Anderson over to Neto I think he got there in time he did just barely as he skips off the bag maybe stepped on a little ginger after getting that out of second base on the force out so here's Freddie Freeman with one out runner on and absolutely crushing right he's hitting 389 hitting 370 there's a ground ball Shawna well picks it he goes to Neto to first and time double play
02:00back to back to back base hits for the Angels here with one out in the second inning strikes him out two away Zach Neto does stay in the game gonna hit for himself right here deuces wild here he comes made a good one right there and a roar as he escapes the jam so the first walk issued by Kohanowitz Andy Pahez will be the next batter here's the 2-2 this is chopped by the mound right near second stop by Anderson puts the foot on the bag and fires
02:30the first and that is how the first and that is how the inning will end so both Dodger innings have ended on double play balls it was a good start to the third the 0-2 got him swinging chased a high fastball that is three consecutive K's for Dustin May one gone in the third you don't want that extra traffic on with the Dodgers and a swing and a miss he chases the sinker away for strike three so now the bottom of the order
02:59where can Hesong Kim he's reached in seven straight plate appearances and there's a base hit through the left side Hesong Kim makes it eight straight plate appearances reaching safely it's a two ounce single to set the table for Ohtani 3-2 there was a sinker down and away and he looks dialed in doesn't he first chance for the Dodgers with the runner in scoring position tonight after they went nine for 13 last night ground ball to third
03:04Moncada to the back the game to the fourth
03:08He played appearances with reaching safely to two out single to set the table for Ohtani 3 2 there was a sinker down and away and he looks dialed in that mean first chance for the Dodgers with the runner in scoring position tonight after they went nine for 13 last night ground ball to third one counter to the bag the game to the fourth three balls one strike run he fought swats one to left
03:38field he's two for two as hits in his first two times up oh got him just plunked him right there with the sweeper unintentional and two on now for Tim Anderson Conforto playing way over oh got him again back to back hit batters that one a sinker a little more oomph behind it and took a bite out of Anderson he's not feeling great about bases loaded one out to the Angels in the
04:08fourth inning they already lead to nothing and Zach Meadow is the man at the plate one two that is ripped left field it gets down one run comes in the speed from Lugo he scores a double for Neto it's four nothing halos well Zach Meadow says if you're going to make me chase something out of the zone I'm going to wait for something to come back in the zone Angels up four zip well now base is clear Will Smith comes up swings at the first pitch ground
04:38ball off the glove of netto diving it's short it dribbles into center field so Will Smith wasting no time to pick up his first hit of the night it's Muncie here two home runs seven driven in the last two games and he smokes this ball to the gap and right center field
04:54pass the dive of Lugo and all the way to the wall Smith is headed home Muncie anchors at second throws up the line Dodgers on the board Max Muncie coming to life 4-1 game in the fourth
05:09Kim reaching base eight consecutive plate appearances he's the first Dodger rookie to do that since Corey Seager a decade ago
05:18bouncing ball right side play at first no chance he's on again he's always on he song Kim ninth consecutive plate appearance where he's reached base with his wheels he's going to be safe every time when he hits it right there at that speed as Otani comes up the one one sharply to second it's another ground ball and it's another double play the third and five innings
05:47that's Freeman Smith third time through here in the sixth and how about it a strikeout to Mookie Betts fourth K of the night for Kahanowitz on the changeup to be able to go back and forth that changeup we saw it coming he's starting to get a lot more confidence with it and tonight it's been a big weapon for him gets him another changeup he strikes out
06:10Bettson Freeman back to back leadoff walk here in the seventh he's already had Pahez has hit into a ground ball double play earlier in this game ground ball Anderson the flip Neto over to first 4-6-3 double play great call
06:25you believe in him and he got it done I love it Angels have Ryan Zephyr John getting loose
06:32well that is ripped down the left field line and it is a fair ball and that goes out of play that's going to be a stand-up double
06:39ground rule double for Taylor Ward to lead off the eighth
06:42carves out a fly ball to right field for Andy Pahez
06:47measures it up makes the grab throw goes to third it's a play

07:39Ohtani blasts the ball to right center field
07:42oh majestic drive gone
07:45Ohtani tossed the bat toward his old dugout and now rounds the bases for the 16th time
07:53a solo home run and the Dodgers are within two
