00:08Here at Rebellion, we are excited to introduce you to this new world

00:12and what it has to offer.

00:14However, there's far more to Atomfall than what we can showcase in a single video.

00:19This is just a glimpse of what's to come.

00:21Atomfall is a brand new, single-player, first-person action survival game

00:27set in a post-war Britain.

00:29It will have you traversing the Lake District of Northern England,

00:33uncovering mysteries about the quarantine zone and the people that inhabit it.

00:38My name's Molly. I've got some bits and bobs for sale.

00:40My name's Nut, by the way.

00:42Forgive me being curious of strangers.

00:44Atomfall takes place in a fictional quarantine in 1962,

00:48just five years after the real-life event of the Windscale Fire,

00:53the worst nuclear disaster in British history.

00:55However, in this altered version of history,

00:58there are more mysterious and sinister things at play behind the scenes.

01:03And you must uncover the secrets of what happened.

01:07It's up to you to discover the truth behind the disaster

01:10and figure out just how much of this world can be saved.

01:14It doesn't matter what else happened,

01:16as long as the truth of this place gets out.

01:18Before you can set out on that quest,

01:22you'll awaken in the quarantine zone

01:24with little knowledge about who you are,

01:27the life you've lived,

01:29and certainly the strange new world around you.

01:33A rather nasty bout of amnesia.

01:36You're not the first amnesiac I've seen since things went awry.

01:41Are you a law-abiding citizen?

01:42A terrifying menace to those around you?

01:46Or are you perhaps someone just trying their best to survive

01:49in a dangerous, unfamiliar place?

01:52The choice is yours.

01:54An Atom 4 gives you the freedom to embody any role.

01:58A village in one of the areas you will visit

02:00is controlled by a military group

02:02that was sent in to set up and maintain the quarantine

02:05after the disaster.

02:06A noble cause.

02:08But some might question the lengths they've gone to restore order.

02:12I shouldn't be gossiping about this stuff.

02:14Armed soldiers patrolling the roads of the village.

02:17Robotic sentinels on a hair trigger,

02:19prepared to attack at even the slightest hint of aggression.

02:22and villagers who live in fear as a result.

02:24Soldiers will spring you up for anything these days

02:27and my husband was exploring where they don't like you to explore.

02:30Does this group really have the villagers' best interest at heart?

02:33Step out of line and I will revoke your liberties here

02:38just as quickly as they were given.

02:43Outside of the village is a lawless land

02:45filled with bandits and cultists

02:47who don't care if you're friendly or not

02:51and will attack you on sight.

02:54Be cautious.

02:57There are so many things to consider

02:59on your journey through Atomfall.

03:01Exploration is a critical component of the experience

03:04especially when it comes to your survival.

03:07The quarantine zone is in the idyllic countryside of northern England

03:10but it is not as it once was.

03:13An abandoned rail yard,

03:15a derelict stone quarry

03:17and verdant rolling hills

03:19contain more than just pieces of a prior civilization.

03:23As you explore these places

03:24you'll find secret bandit hideouts,

03:28mysterious messages,

03:30secrets,

03:32clues and leads

03:33that might help you figure out

03:36how the world fell apart.

03:38These can lead you to eccentric characters,

03:40secret hideaways

03:41or even the rundown bunkers

03:44of the British Atomic Research Division.

03:48You'll never know when or where

03:51fragments of the bigger picture

03:52will be brought into focus

03:53but you will always need to be on guard.

03:57These facilities may not be as populated

03:59as they once were.

04:03However,

04:04the halls are often patrolled

04:06by the same robots

04:07used to patrol the rest of the quarantine zone

04:09as well as irradiated feral creatures

04:12that won't hesitate to tear you apart.

04:15You will also come across caves

04:16and underground tunnels

04:18that seem to have been affected

04:19by the windscale disaster the most.

04:21Blowing plants and mushrooms

04:23cover the walls, floor and ceiling

04:25of these places

04:26giving off a hazy fog

04:31that makes them more dangerous to traverse

04:33than other places you may go.

04:36However,

04:36the environment is not all you need to worry about.

04:39The same terrifying ferals found in the bunkers

04:42also live in these areas

04:43and will not stop to ask questions

04:45before trying to tear you apart.

04:47Be sure to be well equipped

04:49to handle these creatures

04:50and be extra cautious

04:52as not everything is as it seems.

04:55You're trapped in a quarantine zone

04:58around the windscale atom plant.

04:59How are you going to defend yourself

05:01against all these threats?

05:03You're going to need weapons,

05:05supplies and materials

05:06all of which you can find

05:07through scavenging the locations of Atom Fall.

05:10However,

05:10if you truly want to survive,

05:13some things may need to be taken by force.

05:16The weapons you will come across

05:17include melee weapons

05:18like the cricket bat

05:20or ranged weapons

05:21like pistols, rifles

05:23think you're good with that thing?

05:26and shotguns.

05:27Get this on for it, Sean!

05:29Each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

05:32During your journey through Atom Fall,

05:34you may even unlock the ability

05:35to upgrade your weapons

05:37and give them more power.

05:38The ammo for these weapons

05:40will be in short supply,

05:41so you must either find

05:43or craft

05:43what you need to survive.

05:45However,

05:46weapons are not the only thing

05:47you will need on your journey.

05:48You will gather resources

05:50like cloth and alcohol

05:52to craft various items

05:54to heal yourself

05:55or harm your enemies.

05:57Over time,

05:58you'll expand your crafting abilities

06:00to create more aggressive tools

06:02of self-protection.

06:03Other tools at your disposal

06:04include a flashlight

06:06to light the dark paths ahead

06:08and a trusty metal detector

06:10to locate buried caches of supplies.

06:12A handy ping will alert you

06:14when one of these caches is nearby.

06:18Signaling you to equip the metal detector

06:22and begin the hunt.

06:24When you aren't scavenging for materials

06:26or searching for buried treasure,

06:28you might also find various manuals

06:30that contain valuable knowledge.

06:32These manuals will imbue your character

06:34with new skills across four categories.

06:37Ranged combat,

06:38melee combat,

06:40survival,

06:41and conditioning.

06:42Even at the end of the world,

06:44knowledge is power.

06:46Careful selection of which skills you focus on

06:48will determine your play style

06:50and the path you carve out for yourself

06:52in Atom Fall.

06:53We won't be going fully in-depth

06:55on these skills

06:55and what each one entails right now,

06:58but as you progress,

06:59you will need to pick and choose
