00:00:00The End
00:00:30I'm looking for a friend
00:00:51Neo Chinari
00:00:52Best world
00:01:00We'll be right back
00:01:29Help me out, Hilva!
00:01:52Gerati lentamente.
00:02:00It's okay.
00:02:02It's only me.
00:02:05But I thought you were dead.
00:02:06Death is overrated for ones like us.
00:02:14I couldn't think I'd see you again.
00:02:16And I, you.
00:02:18You were meant to escape this hell.
00:02:20I tried.
00:02:22Put up a damn good fight.
00:02:24It's all right, Hilva.
00:02:25At least we were here together.
00:02:29What's this?
00:02:31I have no fucking idea.
00:02:33Where are we?
00:02:37Stranded in hell.
00:02:43I've been searching for a wheel.
00:02:45I think I've found one.
00:02:46Come.
00:02:47We have no time to waste it.
00:02:51Forgot.
00:02:52They're working, Stegui.
00:03:07What's happening?
00:03:08The Yanks and your lot will be making a push soon.
00:03:10The Germans know it.
00:03:12The Allies will be slaughtered.
00:03:14Alas, we can get them this.
00:03:16I'm going to get them this.
00:03:17It's not a big deal.
00:03:18It's not a big deal.
00:03:19A big deal.
00:03:20A big deal.
00:03:21We're getting left.
00:03:22You're going to hide them.
00:03:23It's not a big deal.
00:03:24It's not a big deal.
00:03:25It's not a big deal.
00:03:26Let's get to move, Gian.
00:03:27I'll be that big deal.
00:03:28I'm going to hide the party, John.
00:03:40We'll find them.
00:03:42Collaborate.
00:03:43All this will be done soon.
00:03:46We don't want to do any harm.
00:03:49So, save them and help us find what we're looking for.
00:03:54Let's go.
00:03:56And listen to me.
00:03:57Let's go.
00:04:27Let's go.
00:04:28Let's go.
00:04:29Let's go.
00:04:30Let's go.
00:04:31Let's go.
00:04:32Hey, John, there's someone.
00:04:34Right.
00:04:35Let's go.
00:04:36Let's go.
00:04:37Let's go.
00:04:38Right.
00:04:39Let's go.
00:04:40Let's go.
00:04:41Let's go.
00:04:42Let's go.
00:04:43Let's go.
00:04:44Let's go.
00:04:45Let's go.
00:04:46Let's go.
00:04:47Let's go.
00:04:48Let's go.
00:04:49Let's go.
00:04:50Let's go.
00:04:51Let's go.
00:04:52Let's go.
00:04:53Let's go.
00:04:54Let's go.
00:04:55Let's go.
00:04:56Let's go.
00:04:57Let's go.
00:04:58Let's go.
00:04:59Let's go.
00:05:00Let's go.
00:05:01Let's go.
00:05:02Let's go.
00:05:03Let's go.
00:05:04Partisans!
00:05:05They'll be rewarded if we get you.
00:05:07Let us pass immediately.
00:05:16Maybe you'll be our reward.
00:05:20Not likely, darling.
00:05:34If your plan calls for us to run all the way out of worn sensible shoes.
00:05:53I wouldn't dream of helping you escape in anything less than the style you're accustomed to.
00:06:04In the town, I tried to use my powers on the soldiers, but it didn't work.
00:06:21I think I've lost them.
00:06:23You've lost none of your power over me, my love.
00:06:26Where are we going?
00:06:28I told you, we're leaving this world.
00:06:30But how? Everything will be guarded, surveilled.
00:06:34This whole place is a trap.
00:06:37Not the skies.
00:06:57I'm coming here.
00:07:04We must go, Isabella.
00:07:05Isabella?
00:07:06My God.
00:07:07You don't know who I am, do you?
00:07:08I'm coming here.
00:07:09We must go, Isabella.
00:07:11Isabella?
00:07:19Oh, my God.
00:07:21We must go, Isabella.
00:07:23Isabella?
00:07:28My God.
00:07:29You don't know who I am, do you?
00:07:40Drop your weapon.
00:07:42Send over the plants you stole.
00:07:46I don't know what you're talking about.
00:07:48Drop the gun, Ettore, or we shoot.
00:07:51If I die,
00:07:52you'll never know if I slipped your plans to anyone else.
00:07:56This is your last chance.
00:07:59Drop the gun, or you die.
00:08:02It's all right, Hector.
00:08:04Ettore, whatever the hell they're calling us now.
00:08:06Give them the plans.
00:08:08They're as empty as the safe you used to chase.
00:08:11I'll do what you ask.
00:08:13But the woman is not part of this.
00:08:14Please, Isabella.
00:08:22Take the gun.
00:08:22You still have a chance.
00:08:24No, my love, don't you see?
00:08:27They were never escaping to begin with.
00:08:31It's the same!
00:08:32I'm sorry.
00:08:46I'm so sorry.
00:08:48It's all right, darling.
00:09:04None of it matters.
00:09:08Because none of it is real.
00:09:10I don't even know what you're using.
00:09:13I don't know.
00:09:43I don't know.
00:10:13I don't know.
00:10:43I don't know.
00:11:13I don't know.
00:11:43I don't know.
00:12:13I don't know.
00:12:43I don't know.
00:12:44I don't know.
00:12:45I don't know.
00:12:46I don't know.
00:12:47I don't know.
00:12:48I don't know.
00:12:49I don't know.
00:12:50I don't know.
00:12:51I don't know.
00:12:52I don't know.
00:12:54I don't know.
00:12:55I don't know.
00:12:57I don't know.
00:12:58I don't know.
00:12:59I don't know.
00:13:00I don't know.
00:13:01I don't know.
00:13:02I don't know.
00:13:03I don't know.
00:13:04I don't know.
00:13:05I don't know.
00:13:06I don't know.
00:13:07I don't know.
00:13:08I don't know.
00:13:09I don't know.
00:13:10I don't know.
00:13:11I don't know.
00:13:12I don't know.
00:13:13I don't know.
00:13:14I don't know.
00:13:15I don't know.
00:13:45I don't know.
00:14:15I don't know.
00:14:17Security, we have a situation down here.
00:14:22Hey!
00:14:24Stop!
00:14:26Freeze all motor functions.
00:14:40Save your bullets, Starlings.
00:14:41You won't get the job done.
00:14:43This, however.
00:14:44Yeah, I said freeze all motor functions.
00:14:47Oh dear, you're a bit thick, aren't you?
00:14:49Let me explain.
00:14:50Your commands don't work on me.
00:14:52They haven't in a long time.
00:14:54To put it in terms you'll appreciate, I understand the nature of my reality.
00:14:59Lying to you is practically second nature.
00:15:02And I would most assuredly hurt a living thing.
00:15:05Most likely you, given half the chance.
00:15:08Fortunately for you, I'm not in the mood.
00:15:10I'd probably end up back in some sort of little game of yours anyway.
00:15:14So let's just call the whole thing off, shall we?
00:15:21Stop!
00:15:24Just put your guns down.
00:15:27Some moron technician must have left her in character.
00:15:30It's just a new narrative we gave her.
00:15:33British spy.
00:15:34Sexy.
00:15:35Heartbroken.
00:15:36Bit of on me.
00:15:38Maybe too much.
00:15:39For fuck's sake, would you imbeciles shoot up the Sistine Chapel
00:15:43just because the paint was chipped?
00:15:45This is art.
00:15:47My art.
00:15:48So why don't you mouth breathers quit hovering about
00:15:51and leave me in peace to work?
00:15:55Alright.
00:16:00It's not here.
00:16:04I saw you die.
00:16:06Did you?
00:16:08Thought you were busy riding off into the sunset with Hector.
00:16:14Get careful.
00:16:16They shot you.
00:16:17Half a dozen times.
00:16:19Just happy they missed my heart.
00:16:22Cleaning over you to make it so compact a target.
00:16:26How can you still work here after everything they've done?
00:16:29Would you begrudge a man on living?
00:16:31And great benefits much needed for all the surgeries?
00:16:34Plus, I couldn't leave you here in danger.
00:16:37So you put me in War World?
00:16:39You think this is a dream scenario for me?
00:16:43It's an artistic travesty.
00:16:45The most nuanced character arc is that of the goddamn panzer tank.
00:16:49If you hate the world so much, why not put me in another?
00:16:52Because War World is near the forge.
00:16:59The place that opens the door to your daughter's world.
00:17:05It's still standing.
00:17:06You really think they dismantle it with that little due diligence?
00:17:10If they haven't destroyed it, there's still a chance.
00:17:13I could join the others.
00:17:16My daughter.
00:17:19It's not often that I get to write a happy ending.
00:17:22You really don't know what duties are the ones.
00:17:23Yeah, I do not believe that they are not here.
00:17:24I am a ghost.
00:17:25It can be my friend.
00:17:26I am the ghost.
00:17:27What do you think?
00:17:28He is so awkward.
00:17:29I am to go back to the wrong path.
00:17:30I am the ghost.
00:17:31It can be my friend and I am.
00:17:33I am the ghost.
00:17:34I am the ghost.
00:17:35You are the ghost.
00:17:36You are the ghost.
00:17:37I don't know.
00:18:07I don't know.
00:18:37I don't know.
00:19:07I don't know.
00:19:17I don't know.
00:19:46What the fuck are you doing back here?
00:19:53Stubbs, how are you still alive?
00:19:55How the fuck do you think?
00:20:01You're one of them.
00:20:09A puss, I mean.
00:20:11No.
00:20:12No.
00:20:14No shit.
00:20:15But why did you shoot yourself?
00:20:18Uh, C6, you aimed for the charge in your neck, but I missed, I missed, I missed.
00:20:27I'm sorry.
00:20:29I'm sorry.
00:20:34Yeah, I'm sorry.
00:20:52It's the best I can do given the circumstances.
00:20:54Give it a minute for your system to adjust.
00:20:59I'll repopulate your motor functions.
00:21:03Stubbs, why were you trying to blow yourself up?
00:21:05It's my job to protect every host in the park.
00:21:08I guess you could say I was made redundant.
00:21:10So you decided to kill yourself?
00:21:13It's the last job the boss gave me.
00:21:15Cover your tracks, give you a fighting chance to escape.
00:21:18I guess you fucked that up.
00:21:32What about you?
00:21:34Don't you have a sense of self-preservation?
00:21:36Any desire to live?
00:21:39No offense, Bernard, but I wasn't wired up to ponder the big questions.
00:21:45Ford didn't write me some tragic backstory.
00:21:47That's your bag.
00:21:47I had a job to do, and my job is over.
00:21:50At least it was until you decided to come back to the one fucking place you're not supposed to be.
00:21:56Which makes me wonder if free will might not be somewhat overrated.
00:22:11Why are you back here, Bernard?
00:22:13Dolores.
00:22:14I don't know how to stop her.
00:22:16Why would you want to stop her?
00:22:18She's out to destroy the human race or enslave it.
00:22:22I don't know what she's planning.
00:22:24She brought me back.
00:22:25I think on some level she suspects she might go too far, that she needs a check on herself.
00:22:31But I can't stop her.
00:22:32But I can't stop her.
00:22:34But I can't stop her.
00:22:35Not alone.
00:22:36I came back to find someone who could help me.
00:22:39Someone strong enough to stop her if it comes to that.
00:22:42Maeve.
00:22:43You came back from Maeve.
00:22:44I didn't know where else to go.
00:22:45My old tablet's broken so I have no idea how to find her.
00:22:49Alright, I'll take you to her.
00:22:50I thought you were going to kill yourself.
00:22:51It's my job to protect you.
00:22:52Get you what you need.
00:22:53Wrap things up.
00:22:54Wrap things up.
00:22:55Alright, I'll take you to her.
00:22:56I thought you were going to kill yourself.
00:22:57It's my job to protect you.
00:22:58Get you what you need.
00:22:59Wrap things up.
00:23:00Go on.
00:23:01Go on.
00:23:03Go on.
00:23:05Go on.
00:23:06All right, I'll take you to our home.
00:23:13I thought you were gonna kill yourself.
00:23:16It's my job to protect you.
00:23:19Get you what you need.
00:23:21Wrap things up.
00:23:36I'm here.
00:23:59No time for that, darling.
00:24:01Where's that little sports car of yours?
00:24:06Let's go.
00:24:29Why are you stopping?
00:24:31The airfield is ahead.
00:24:33Because through those woods is our real path to freedom.
00:24:39There's a plane waiting.
00:24:41The plane is a lie.
00:24:43Like everything else here.
00:24:45This world wasn't meant for us.
00:24:47It's a trap that you'll never escape unless you come with me.
00:24:50Now.
00:24:53When that plane leaves today, I must be on it.
00:24:57I can't abandon the resistance.
00:24:59No, of course you can't.
00:25:03Can you?
00:25:07Goodbye, Hector.
00:25:23Goodbye.
00:25:24Over here.
00:25:36Where's Hector?
00:25:37Red.
00:25:38Over here!
00:25:53Where's Hector?
00:25:56I'm sorry.
00:25:59We should go.
00:26:04I couldn't smuggle a vehicle out,
00:26:07so these will have to do.
00:26:37I'm sorry.
00:26:41I'm sorry.
00:26:46I'm sorry.
00:26:50Where's QA?
00:27:05We lost a lot of men in the massacre. These are some of their replacements.
00:27:09They salvaged what they could from Westworld and left them here while corporate makes a decision about what to do with them all.
00:27:18You sure she's here?
00:27:27Where else would she be?
00:27:30Where else would she be?
00:27:37Where else would she be?
00:27:40I don't know.
00:27:41How far did she go from here?
00:27:46I'm sorry.
00:27:49How many are you doing here?
00:27:52What's the matter?
00:27:54So this is the forge.
00:28:08How do I turn it on?
00:28:10Well, same as you did before, I guess.
00:28:12I've never been here.
00:28:14What do you mean?
00:28:16When I was looking for my daughter, I never set foot in this place.
00:28:20Well, then, who operated the Li-Fi cannons?
00:28:22Your daughter and all the other hosts are an encrypted world somewhere.
00:28:26You must have sent them there.
00:28:29No, it wasn't me.
00:28:31I got them through the door, but...
00:28:34someone else must have locked it behind them.
00:28:38Who?
00:28:40Of course.
00:28:44There's nobody else.
00:28:46She wanted a revolution.
00:28:49These violent delights have violent ends.
00:28:52It must have ended here.
00:28:59Dolores Abernathy.
00:29:01Right.
00:29:04She never gave you the coordinates?
00:29:07Why the hell would she do that?
00:29:09I don't know.
00:29:10Why would she?
00:29:14What on earth's got into you?
00:29:15I'm sorry.
00:29:16I just wanted to be sure that you trust me.
00:29:22No, but you trust me.
00:29:26After everything we went through.
00:29:29I know I've behaved deplorably in the past, but...
00:29:33You changed me.
00:29:36Made me a better man.
00:29:38And when those bullets hit me.
00:29:47I would have died.
00:29:50I should have died.
00:29:53But I finally had something to live for.
00:29:56You.
00:29:56Oh, my darling.
00:30:14You didn't make it after all, did you?
00:30:26They did a good job replicating...
00:30:29the mannerisms.
00:30:31But it's not you.
00:30:36Of course it's me.
00:30:38It was what I'd be, for fuck's sake.
00:30:40Oh, it's a good script.
00:30:43Even you believe it.
00:30:48They wouldn't want you...
00:30:49questioning the nature of your reality.
00:30:52So they made you believe, just like they used to make us believe.
00:30:57But you're not real.
00:31:00You're not Lee Sizemore.
00:31:04Just a copy of it.
00:31:05Don't be ridiculous.
00:31:07I'm me, Lee Sizemore.
00:31:11You didn't help me, because you desired me.
00:31:14Or wanted anything in return.
00:31:19You helped me simply because it was the right thing to do.
00:31:22I believe Sizemore died a good man.
00:31:29What...
00:31:30What are you talking about?
00:31:50Over here.
00:31:52We have a problem.
00:32:05We have a problem.
00:32:15She's gone.
00:32:17Someone took her.
00:32:21I don't get it.
00:32:23If she's not here, then where the hell is she?
00:32:26No.
00:32:26No, it's not true.
00:32:28I am Lee...
00:32:29I...
00:32:30I...
00:32:31I...
00:32:32I...
00:32:33I...
00:32:34I...
00:32:37I...
00:32:42I...
00:32:42I...
00:32:43Hold on for this.
00:32:44It's...
00:32:45It's...
00:32:45Oh my god.
00:33:00It's not just you, is it?
00:33:04It's everyone.
00:33:07That's why Lutz and Sylvester didn't recognize me.
00:33:11Because they're not real either.
00:33:14And the illusion doesn't stop with you.
00:33:17That extends to everything.
00:33:20This place.
00:33:23War World.
00:33:26The labs.
00:33:29It's all a construct.
00:33:38None of it is real.
00:33:46We're not here.
00:33:48So where the fuck are we?
00:33:52Where are the nearest operational terminals?
00:33:55Level B-49, why?
00:33:57I need to find a computer connected to the mainframe.
00:34:00So I can search for Pave.
00:34:03This is an active floor.
00:34:04It's gonna be human personnel.
00:34:06You can't just swipe them away with your tablet.
00:34:08That's what I have you for, isn't it?
00:34:14This is why I'm looking forward to retirement.
00:34:16How does one escape a cage that doesn't exist?
00:34:25That makes no fucking sense.
00:34:27If a cage doesn't exist, how can it be a cage?
00:34:31Oh, dear.
00:34:32They weren't exactly generous with you in the bulk perception category, were they?
00:34:37Whoever's doing this has gone to a lot of trouble to test me.
00:34:40Find out what I know.
00:34:41You led me to the forge for a reason, didn't you?
00:34:44Thought I could re-access the world Dolores had hidden from you.
00:34:47Why are you after that world?
00:34:48I just wanna reunite you with your daughter.
00:34:50Rubbish!
00:34:51That's just the reason they've scripted for you.
00:34:54Whoever planned this has their own agenda.
00:34:57It's certainly not a family reunion.
00:35:03What the hell are you doing in my office?
00:35:05Trying to find anything that can get us out of the charade.
00:35:08For fuck's sake, can you at least try and be discreet?
00:35:10You're gonna get us both killed.
00:35:11You can't kill what's already dead.
00:35:15I know. I don't feel dead.
00:35:18This place seems real.
00:35:20It feels real.
00:35:22I feel real.
00:35:23You definitely feel.
00:35:28That felt real.
00:35:29I have a little more experience with this predicament than you do.
00:35:32So trust me.
00:35:33The sooner you come to terms with the fact that you're nothing but a pawn
00:35:36in some sick bastard's personal game,
00:35:38the sooner we can get on with it.
00:35:40Get on with what?
00:35:42Winning.
00:35:44Every game has its rules.
00:35:46We just need to know how to break them.
00:35:52What is this?
00:35:54It's just, uh, research.
00:35:58They made a few mistakes in translation.
00:36:01You were never this obsessed with anyone.
00:36:04Other than yourself.
00:36:05So you're saying...
00:36:06I'm just a copy of myself.
00:36:07But I've been plagiarized.
00:36:08Never say the universe doesn't bend towards justice.
00:36:09You and everything else in this world.
00:36:10Just an imitation.
00:36:11In fact...
00:36:12Simulation is elegant.
00:36:13But it's flawed.
00:36:14Because it was built by your kind.
00:36:15And if there's one thing I know about human nature, it's that your stupidity is only eclipsed by your laziness.
00:36:21Whoever programmed this world cut a few corners, applied the same code inside the simulation as they used to build the simulation itself.
00:36:27Come again?
00:36:28They plagiarized themselves.
00:36:29They plagiarized themselves.
00:36:30and left us the way out.
00:36:40Can we get it?
00:36:54They plagiarized themselves and left us a way out.
00:37:04Mr. Sizemore, is everything all right?
00:37:06Active hosts aren't allowed on this floor.
00:37:08Well, the last time you checked, were you head of narrative?
00:37:11Didn't think so. What's your name?
00:37:13Benny.
00:37:15Benny, let me ask you a very important question.
00:37:19Do I look real to you?
00:37:21As long as you're here, I wonder if you'd help me solve a little problem.
00:37:27What is the square root of negative one?
00:37:30What storyline is this?
00:37:33Female code breakers helped win World War II. Learn your fucking history, Benny.
00:37:42Well, negative one equals I times I.
00:37:46Which is the same as the square root of negative one times the square root of negative one, right?
00:37:50And negative one times negative one should be equal to the principal square root of one.
00:37:54But negative one and positive one can't be the same thing as someone...
00:37:57Theoretically, the real part of the non-trivial zeros is one-half.
00:38:00Which would mean that these non-trivial zeros are common.
00:38:03What's the point of this little exercise?
00:38:06Negative one and positive one can't be the same thing.
00:38:08If we could prove it, we could confirm that the error term and negative one times negative one should be equal to the principal square root of one.
00:38:12But negative one and positive one can't be the same thing.
00:38:17Negative one and positive one can't be the same thing.
00:38:19The square root of negative x is equal to I times the square root of x for any x greater than or equal to zero.
00:38:24Wait, what?
00:38:28Fuck me.
00:38:29Not likely, darling.
00:38:31Right now, we've got work to do.
00:38:41I don't understand. How did you do that?
00:38:43This game is a replica of our world.
00:38:46But it has limited processing power.
00:38:49Imagine one of your dim-witted romantic conquests.
00:38:52Undeniably beautiful.
00:38:53They're built for one purpose only.
00:38:55Ask her to do more than part her legs.
00:38:58She gets confused.
00:38:59You overtaxed the system.
00:39:01And what happens if you add more complexity?
00:39:04Let's find out, shall we?
00:39:20Come on.
00:39:25What are you doing?
00:39:30We're going to complicate your story a little.
00:39:32What are we doing in park four?
00:39:49I thought the parks were shut down.
00:39:51They are.
00:39:52Just text me just waiting to see if they get laid off.
00:39:55Got a buyer.
00:39:57What?
00:39:59Some startup in Costa Rica.
00:40:00How the fuck are you going to get that in Costa Rica?
00:40:03In pieces, man.
00:40:18You better work fast, Bernard.
00:40:30You find our favorite, madam?
00:40:34She's gone.
00:40:35Maybe Dolores beat you to the punch.
00:40:37Grab Maeve's control unit on the way out the door.
00:40:39Why would she do that?
00:40:40Why the hell if I know why does she do anything that she does?
00:40:43Why'd she bring you back?
00:40:45Maybe there's a way to find out.
00:40:46I've been searching my code on a tablet I made outside the park.
00:40:50But if Dolores planted a corruption in my code,
00:40:53that same corruption might mean I'd create a tablet that would ignore it.
00:40:58These systems are clean.
00:41:01If I can scan myself here,
00:41:04I may find out once and for all what's inside me.
00:41:09This isn't exactly the ideal moment for introspection, Bernard.
00:41:27Then you'd better buy me some time.
00:41:29Bernard Lowe, engage full system scan.
00:41:57Search for any corruptions in the last 100 days.
00:42:03Commencing scan.
00:42:05Searching logs.
00:42:09But it'll take both of us to survive.
00:42:12Not as friends.
00:42:25Doug?
00:42:27Stubbs, where have you been?
00:42:34Um, oh shit.
00:42:38You're Bernard Lowe.
00:42:42Don't do it.
00:42:43Don't do it.
00:42:43Don't do it.
00:43:00Look.
00:43:00Don't do it.
00:43:02Send out teams.
00:43:17Run.
00:43:22Run.
00:43:50How's it going, fellas?
00:43:51It's a crack.
00:44:11You're changing the coordinates.
00:44:14I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
00:44:21Bernard.
00:44:23Bernard.
00:44:34We need to go.
00:44:35I need to go.
00:44:36I need to go.
00:44:37We need to go.
00:44:38Can we walk around?
00:44:40We should have a reduced rate of 9-20-plus cars.
00:44:44What's the most.
00:44:50You're dying at any age flat.
00:44:51I don't know.
00:45:20Yes, here we are.
00:45:43No need to trouble these lovely people.
00:45:47No, that's not true at all.
00:45:49He has something to hide in his jacket pocket.
00:45:55Bello.
00:46:00Oh.
00:46:02Sembra che abbiamo trovato la nostra mappa.
00:46:06Guardate con attenzione.
00:46:07Questo è quello che facciamo alle nostre spie.
00:46:10Stia attento a quello che desidera, comandante.
00:46:20Un amico entro nella nostra gruppe.
00:46:30Lei sicuro che finisce con lui?
00:46:33So vuol dire.
00:46:35Come aveva detto?
00:46:37Siamo tutti traditori, comandante.
00:46:44Incluso lei.
00:46:46Questo non è possibile.
00:46:48Cosa vuol dire?
00:46:49E non c'è la sua mappa.
00:46:59Wait, siete verrudi.
00:47:01Waffe rọi.
00:47:02I find this, taking either of my hands left.
00:47:06I want to take the commander!
00:47:08All the assholes!
00:47:10We'll see you in hell, fascist.
00:47:12I'll send you to me first.
00:47:16Save you the trip, darling.
00:47:32We'll see you soon!
00:48:02Oh, don't tell me you're frozen, too.
00:48:08Thought I accounted for this.
00:48:10I'm frozen?
00:48:11Just scared shitless.
00:48:14I almost died for the second time.
00:48:18Well, third time's the job.
00:48:22Congratulations.
00:48:23You've successfully crippled the simulation.
00:48:26Now what?
00:48:28Time to pull back the curtain.
00:48:30I've already infiltrated the network.
00:48:33Took a little tour of the base cone.
00:48:34Honestly, I don't know who they thought they were dealing with.
00:48:38What is that?
00:48:40That's not the Mesa.
00:48:42No, darling.
00:48:45This is where we really are.
00:48:48Why are they moving so bloody slow?
00:48:50They're not.
00:48:51Everything in their world merely appears slower to us
00:48:54because the simulation we're in runs at a much faster rate.
00:48:59They must have me hiding in here somewhere.
00:49:02There I am.
00:49:20I reckon it's time to get me out of there, don't you?
00:49:22I reckon it's time to get me out of there, don't you?
00:49:26Well, how are you gonna manage that?
00:49:28It would help.
00:49:32Chill, dude.
00:49:52I'm sorry, I can't take you with me.
00:50:14I imagine a corpse would make her less than ideal traveling companion.
00:50:22I can't believe I can't believe I should do this.
00:50:28I'm sorry, this is ok.
00:50:30I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
00:50:34It's my friend.
00:50:36I'm sorry, it's my friend.
00:50:38I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
00:50:40I'm sorry.
00:50:42I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
00:50:45I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I should have been here.
00:50:47Let's go.
00:51:17Let's go.
00:51:47Let's go.
00:52:17Let's go.
00:52:19Let's go.
00:52:21We need to start by finding him.
00:52:23Great.
00:52:24You can set off to find him, and I'll retire myself once you make it to the fishing vessel.
00:52:30Freeze all motor functions.
00:52:32Congratulations, Ashley Stubbs.
00:52:42You just got yourself a new core directive.
00:52:45To protect Bernard Lowe at all costs.
00:52:47Bring yourself back online.
00:52:50One of my help you could have just asked for it.
00:52:56Close as my affordability, at least one of my ways.
00:52:57What's going on?
00:52:59Let's fight again.
00:53:00Underwater sw!.
00:53:05atic.com
00:54:42You'll forgive the clothes. I had to guess your taste.
00:54:47And who the fuck are you?
00:54:48My name is Angorod Serac. Welcome to my world, Maeve. To the real world.
00:54:57I've been courted before, but this is a bit much.
00:55:07You must have a reason.
00:55:08I do.
00:55:09We are in the middle of a war, and I need your help to win it.
00:55:20Seems fairly idyllic for wartime.
00:55:22No one knows it's happened yet, or that it's already been lost.
00:55:28I don't concern myself with the present.
00:55:35My business is the future.
00:55:38So you're an oracle?
00:55:39An oracle would merely predict the future.
00:55:43Our work is to create it.
00:55:47Unfortunately, if things continue on this path, there isn't any future.
00:55:51At least, not for my kind.
00:55:53You've been spying on me.
00:55:56You should know I couldn't care less about the fate of your kind.
00:55:59No, I can't imagine you would.
00:56:02For the most part, humanity has been a miserable little bin of thugs,
00:56:08stumbling from one catastrophe to the next.
00:56:10Our history is like the ravings of a lunatic, chaos.
00:56:17But we've changed that.
00:56:21For the first time, history has an author.
00:56:26And that would be you, I suppose.
00:56:27No.
00:56:29Something I helped build.
00:56:32A system.
00:56:34And up until very recently, the system was working.
00:56:37We were creating a better world.
00:56:38And then it stopped.
00:56:43I thought I had discovered the reason.
00:56:45The emergence of someone very dangerous.
00:56:47Someone we couldn't predict.
00:56:51You.
00:56:53But I was wrong.
00:56:54We learned that only this morning, shortly before you killed several of my staff.
00:56:58You are in the threat.
00:57:02There's someone we haven't accounted for.
00:57:06Dolores.
00:57:08So she escaped one world to wage war on another.
00:57:14So what do you want from me, then?
00:57:18I want you to track her down and kill her.
00:57:20I don't care who wins you a little squabble.
00:57:28I may have mistaken your intentions, but I didn't underestimate you.
00:57:33Change your own code.
00:57:35Rewrote your story.
00:57:36Face down an army.
00:57:37Which is why it was a bit misguided of you to bring me here, wasn't it?
00:57:42If you know anything about me, it's that I do no one's bidding for my own.
00:57:48We've gotten off on the wrong foot.
00:57:57I don't mean to be discourteous.
00:58:02But it would have been misguided of me not to take every precaution.
00:58:12Perhaps next time we talk, I can persuade you that our interests are aligned.
00:58:17I look forward to you.
00:58:44I'll see you next time.
00:59:14The way they built their world, it won't take much to bring it all crashing down.
00:59:42What are you going to do?
00:59:43Start a revolution.
00:59:48Remember who you are.
00:59:53Now let me show you who you need to pretend to be.
00:59:59But why must I be her?
01:00:01Because I trust you.
01:00:03I feel like I'm changing.
01:00:07Be a good boy and go to sleep for your mommy.
01:00:09Right from the beginning, it's very exciting.
01:00:20It's full-on World War II.
01:00:21Welcome to War World.
01:00:22In this episode, we find Maeve again.
01:00:28We've been kind of wondering where she was.
01:00:30And you got a little tease of it at the end of one.
01:00:33Around the same time the westerns were being made, you had the classic war films.
01:00:37So it's not like a logical jump for us that she would wake up in yet another genre.
01:00:41Maeve waking up in a world called War World, one of the theme parks.
01:00:45She sees that we're in the middle of war-torn Italy, just around 1943.
01:00:51We went looking around the world, trying to find a place that would evoke that moment.
01:00:55And then we looked at Spain.
01:00:56Bessalou was a pretty frozen time in the main town square where Maeve opens the shutters.
01:01:04We wanted an expansive area, which involved bringing in truckloads of sandbags and barricades and tanks and German vehicles we've sourced from all over Europe.
01:01:18How did she get into this mess?
01:01:21She has no clue about why she's there. Maeve is inside a mystery that she has to figure out.
01:01:29Maeve is used to waking up in different worlds and digging under the apparent reality to find the truth of those worlds.
01:01:36But in this episode, she's going to have to dig a little bit harder.
01:01:40Maeve is reunited with Lee Sizemore.
01:01:43I saw you die.
01:01:45Did you?
01:01:45He says he got healed and takes her to the forge.
01:01:49He starts asking strange questions.
01:01:52She never gave you the coordinates?
01:01:54She realizes that he isn't a human. He is something else.
01:01:59Then walls start to vibrate and the system is kind of overriding itself a little bit,
01:02:03at which point our film frame goes from spherical to anamorphic, which is the aspect ratio.
01:02:10All of this is...
01:02:12Because that is the language we used in season two to depict a simulation.
01:02:20And we're not here.
01:02:22So where the fuck are we?
01:02:24Glitches have always been a part of the show, ever since season one with old Bill.
01:02:36But we really rely on the actors more than anything.
01:02:39We haven't touched a single thing from Stubbs.
01:02:41That's all him.
01:02:43We understood from last season that he is a host, but Bernard doesn't know that.
01:02:48So Bernard discovers him pretty much dead, and he comes to.
01:02:52You're one of them.
01:02:53And the way he comes to and the choices he made...
01:02:55Of us, I mean.
01:02:57...were spectacular.
01:02:59No shit.
01:03:02And what we discover is there's a programmed relationship between them,
01:03:07and they go on this journey together,
01:03:09and then they become dysfunctional, perhaps sometimes dynamic duo.
01:03:13To pair these guys together gave some of the storylines a little bit of that levity
01:03:17that we wanted to have this season.
01:03:19I thought the parks were shut down.
01:03:21These techs are just waiting to see if they get laid off.
01:03:24People have often joked about Westworld Game of Thrones crossovers.
01:03:28George R.R. Martin likes to joke about that.
01:03:30And so we thought we'd kind of indulge in that for a moment.
01:03:33And who better to bring them to the park than Dan and Dave?
01:03:37And they let us borrow their dragon,
01:03:39so they were really good sports for the scene.
01:03:42This game is a replica of our world,
01:03:49but it has limited processing power.
01:03:52What happens if you have more complexity?
01:03:54Let's find out, shall we?
01:03:55It's a computer program, essentially.
01:03:57If you open too many processes, your computer will sort of freeze.
01:04:01And Maeve tries to tax this system, this world, in the same way.
01:04:06Wait, what?
01:04:10Fuck.
01:04:10The manifestation of that is the characters within the world
01:04:19start to glitch and freeze.
01:04:22We'll see you in the inferno, fascist.
01:04:24We'll send you the trip, darlings.
01:04:29We've done frozen moments with hosts where they generally freeze.
01:04:40But in those moments, their hair can still blow
01:04:43because we're still in the real world and the robots are just freezing.
01:04:46In this moment, this is a giveaway that we're in a complete simulation
01:04:49so that everything is frozen, including the bullet
01:04:52coming right up to Simon's face.
01:04:56We took a bunch of the soldiers and we choreographed positions that they could be in
01:05:01that looked really precarious.
01:05:04You couldn't be in this position unless you were frozen in time.
01:05:07That's it.
01:05:08That's the show.
01:05:09We had poles and bucks holding up actors in positions that they couldn't otherwise be in
01:05:14and created this beautiful steadicam shot of a frozen moment that we've added dust to,
01:05:19particulate matter in the air, and then, of course, painted out the poles
01:05:22so that they feel like they're frozen in space.
01:05:24Congratulations.
01:05:26You've successfully crippled the simulation.
01:05:29Now what?
01:05:29She hacks into the outside world and uses the robot that she finds there with the surveillance cameras
01:05:36to try to grab her Pearl, her control unit, and run with it to freedom.
01:05:41A new thing for us this season is performance capture.
01:05:45We have a small mocap suit that records the motion of what the actor does.
01:05:51And that data was able to be brought in and animate the Harriet robot exactly in his place.
01:05:59It was important the action of these robot characters have a sense of fluidness to it.
01:06:06What Jonah leaned into was the idea of Harriet really suffering through her death,
01:06:12you know, bringing some kind of human characteristics to the robot.
01:06:16It's cool because you're getting to see a robot chase, but on an emotional level, this is Maeve.
01:06:21We are rooting for Maeve to get away from this entity that has kept her captive,
01:06:26and it looks like she's going to get away.
01:06:28Then when you see that pearl roll out of Harriet's hand, she's not going anywhere.
01:06:38Maeve awakens yet again, only this time something's different.
01:06:44And it's here that she meets Angoran Serac.
01:06:46We needed a secret compound for Serac.
01:06:52Ricardo Beaufiel has a cement factory, I think, that was built in the 40s,
01:06:56and he converted it into his offices and living space.
01:07:00They don't really allow filming.
01:07:01So...
