00:27lo forbid, in the future, somebody launched a nuclear missile into our continent, they
00:31launched a nuclear missile at Europe, Greenland is a critical part of that missile defense.
00:35So you ask yourself, have the Europeans, have the Danes done a proper job of securing Greenland
00:41and making sure it can continue to serve as an anchor for world security and missile defense?
00:46And the answer is, obviously they haven't.
00:48They've underinvested in their security.
00:50They haven't done a good job of securing that area, that land mass.
00:53And what I hear them say is they'll always make an argument about the past.
00:57They'll say, well, we fought together in World War II, or we fought together in the war
01:02on terrorism, and we're grateful for that.
01:04We love having these allies, but just because you did something smart 25 years ago doesn't
01:09mean you can't do something dumb now.
01:11And the president of the United States is saying very clearly, you are not doing a good job
01:15with respect to Greenland.
01:17We're going to make sure we defend America's interests.
01:19And I think the president's willing to go as far as he has to to make sure he does that.
01:23Thank you.
