00:00:00Likeability, there's no sell-by date on that sort of thing.
00:00:03What they wrote was timeless because it was authentic.
00:00:08It's the kind of show I wish was on the air right now.
00:00:12Whenever you find it on TV, it makes me stop.
00:00:15And every joke is still just as funny.
00:00:17And this murderer's row of a cast.
00:00:20Ray, what's somebody you wanted in your home?
00:00:22You wanted to be part of that family.
00:00:25I believe in 20, 30, 40, 50 more years.
00:00:29We'll still love Everybody Loves Raymond.
00:00:31The writing and the acting, directing, that was near perfect, my God.
00:00:35And it's in color.
00:01:13I love you, I love you, thank you, don't make me cry yet, there's going to be a lot
00:01:42of that, let me just tell you something, the reason we're doing this is because of the
00:01:46fans, I mean, I miss it, I miss everything, I miss you people, I miss the cast, my real
00:01:52wife is backstage with my TV wife, yes, if you've been married for a long time, folks,
00:01:59you know, there's a lot of ups and downs, and this is an example of how long we've been
00:02:02married, the other day she actually said to me, you know, you don't talk a lot, but when
00:02:09you do, it's too much, we're going to have a great night, I'm so glad you're here, who
00:02:16came from, like, far away, who's from the, where are you from?
00:02:19Philippines, I watched you when I was, like, seven or eight, in the Philippines, but, of
00:02:24course, dubbed in, no, I learned English from, you learned English from me,
00:02:28well, I appreciate it, but thank you very much, listen, before we go even further, I
00:02:41want to bring out a man who's been my partner in this venture, in this journey for the last
00:02:4630 years, he's the reason that this show exists, but this was his baby just like it
00:02:52was mine, please welcome, Phil Rosenthal.
00:02:54How great is this?
00:03:10This is amazing, you learned how to speak English from Ray Romano?
00:03:14So were your first English words, oh, no!
00:03:17First of all, let's get one thing out of the way.
00:03:21Yes.
00:03:22This, I'm sure you will know, is a reunion.
00:03:25This is a reunion that we...
00:03:26Not a reboot.
00:03:27...we're never going to do one, because, uh, we're missing three cast members, three family
00:03:32members, so we would never try to do the show without them.
00:03:34It wouldn't be the same, and we have too much respect for the show itself and for the beautiful
00:03:39audience...
00:03:40Right.
00:03:41...to keep it the way it is.
00:03:42Luckily, the show is still on every day all over the world, which...
00:03:47Right.
00:03:48If you want to visit your friends, uh, we're here.
00:03:52How did we meet?
00:03:54Well, I was in bed.
00:03:57And I was watching David Letterman with my wife.
00:04:00This would have been 1995?
00:04:0195.
00:04:02Uh, we had a production company, and we were always looking for a funny project.
00:04:09And I, I think we were all pretty greedy when we saw Ray.
00:04:13Our, uh, ladies and gentlemen, next guest is a very funny comedian, uh, making his first
00:04:17appearance with us tonight.
00:04:18He can also be seen...
00:04:19Wow!
00:04:20I just, uh, looked like a mid-level mortuary has gotten a hold of me.
00:04:23Do me in favor now, please, a nice welcome for Ray Romano.
00:04:26Ray!
00:04:27My first impression, he's wearing his father's suit.
00:04:33But that's fine.
00:04:34I'm gonna let that go.
00:04:35I have a three-year-old daughter and twin two-year-old boys.
00:04:39Wow!
00:04:43Single people are here.
00:04:46I can make them laugh.
00:04:48I can make an infant laugh in a second.
00:04:49I'll tell you, I'm losing my perspective on adult humor.
00:04:52I wrote one new joke since my twins were born.
00:04:55Here, is this funny?
00:04:56What do you think it is?
00:04:58Hi!
00:04:59Hi, everybody!
00:05:02That rings true with me.
00:05:04I had no idea how to be a parent.
00:05:06So I thought, if I can make the kid laugh, I've done something.
00:05:10I'm glad.
00:05:11I'm glad you laughed.
00:05:12If you didn't laugh at that, I would've had to come and rub my nose in your bellies.
00:05:16Yeah.
00:05:18Ray is the guy, and let's go, and before he gets in the cab, let's get him to sign something.
00:05:24And I think it was a combination of his likability and the quality of the material.
00:05:28I thought, you know, pretty run-of-the-mill topics, but the quality of the jokes in those
00:05:33topics, I thought, were superior.
00:05:36It was just dumb luck that we had anything to do with it.
00:05:39It's like, you know, kids playing with fireworks.
00:05:43Oh, geez, it actually exploded.
00:05:45It was sort of like that.
00:05:52That's why we're here.
00:05:56A week later, they called me and said, we'd like to sign you to a deal.
00:06:00Right.
00:06:01To try to produce a sitcom.
00:06:02Right.
00:06:03And then, I had to go find a guy to write it and run it.
00:06:08Did you?
00:06:09So, they set us up on a blind date, here in LA, at Arts Deli on Ventura Boulevard, and
00:06:17we meet.
00:06:18And I say to Ray, you know, tell me about yourself, just like I would with any of you,
00:06:22if we were gonna work together, but we didn't know each other.
00:06:24So, tell me about yourself.
00:06:25And you said, well, I got twin boys and an older daughter, and my parents live close
00:06:30by in Queens.
00:06:31You gotta do the voice?
00:06:32You gotta do the little bit?
00:06:33A little bit.
00:06:34Yeah, okay.
00:06:35And then, my older brother's a police sergeant.
00:06:37He lives with them.
00:06:38He's always touching every bite of food to his gym before he eats it, and he's kind of
00:06:42jealous of me.
00:06:43He saw my stand-up comedy award, and he said, never ends for Raymond.
00:06:46Everybody loves Raymond.
00:06:47And do you remember what I said?
00:06:50You said, well, I don't think there's anything there.
00:06:53Jokingly.
00:06:56I thought that was a very good place to start, and what I didn't know about the personalities
00:07:01in Ray's family, I filled in with the personalities from my family.
00:07:05Ninety percent of everything you saw on the show happened to me, or to Ray, or to one of
00:07:10the other writers.
00:07:12What are you doing?
00:07:15The show had premiered, and Ray said to his wife, Anna, my show just premiered in front
00:07:22of all these people, and she said, yeah, and I just cleaned plum off the ceiling from
00:07:27the kids.
00:07:28I think this show means everything to us.
00:07:31It got to capture our family, Ray's family, everybody who worked here, their families.
00:07:37It was just like a community, you know, we became a community.
00:07:40We all felt so safe here and welcomed.
00:07:43I remember my dad would, he'd come out right before the show.
00:07:46He'd greet the audience.
00:07:48He always would bring me up, say hello.
00:07:50He'd do the same joke with the audience about having twins.
00:07:53Like, here's Matt.
00:07:54I have another son.
00:07:55If he was here, it looked like this, and then I'd go behind him and stand on that side.
00:07:59There's one episode based on a real thing that I did, which is when I was in first grade.
00:08:04We all had to write books, you know, little picture books.
00:08:07My book was...
00:08:09The Angry Family.
00:08:12All the parents came in to read it, and, you know, they were all looking at my parents.
00:08:20Mommy was mad at the daddy.
00:08:22He got an episode out of it.
00:08:27Yeah, the Ray on the show is the Ray at home.
00:08:30And that is because, at home, he does a lot of annoying things that drive me crazy.
00:08:35I think if I were to do an impression, it's just a little bit deeper, like, grunt.
00:08:40Like, I don't know.
00:08:42People do the grunt, right?
00:08:43Ugh.
00:08:44Ah, come on.
00:08:45My back is here.
00:08:46It's a little, ugh.
00:08:47Okay, now it's even worse.
00:08:48Now it's even worse.
00:08:49Deborah.
00:08:50Who brought the cookies here?
00:08:51Who brought the donuts?
00:08:52All right, I'm just gonna eat one.
00:08:53Oh, my God.
00:08:54It's so good.
00:08:55Five minutes later.
00:08:56Ugh, my stomach hurts.
00:08:58Ali, why'd you do that?
00:08:59Oh, damn that.
00:09:00Oh, no.
00:09:01Deborah.
00:09:02Yep, there, it went again.
00:09:05I think one of the things that put it over the top, where CBS had to decide whether to
00:09:11put us on, was something out of your actual life, which was...
00:09:15Well, when I'm writing a pilot, I'm thinking, how do we convey exactly, in a short amount of time,
00:09:20how crazy Ray's parents are.
00:09:23And then this happened to me, where I sent my parents, I thought I was being nice, a gift
00:09:29of Fruit of the Month Club.
00:09:31Look, I appreciate the thought, Raymond, but please, don't ever send us any more food
00:09:36again, okay?
00:09:37Thanks, thanks.
00:09:38Well, another box is coming next month.
00:09:41What?
00:09:42More pears?
00:09:43No.
00:09:44No, it's a different fruit every month.
00:09:47Every month?
00:09:48Yes, yes.
00:09:49That's why they call it Fruit of the Month Club.
00:09:51It's a club?
00:09:52Oh, my God.
00:09:53What am I gonna do with all this fruit?
00:09:54Well, most people like it, Ma.
00:09:56You share it.
00:09:57Share it with all your friends.
00:09:58Which friends?
00:09:59I don't know.
00:10:00Lee and Stan.
00:10:01Lee and Stan buy their own fruit.
00:10:02Oh, give it away.
00:10:03Oh, my God.
00:10:04You just know this to me.
00:10:05Oh, my God.
00:10:06I can't talk to Stuart's fruit in the house.
00:10:09What do you think we are, invalids?
00:10:12We can't go out and get our own fruit.
00:10:14I try to tell them.
00:10:16All right, I'm canceling the Fruit Club.
00:10:18Oh, good.
00:10:19Thank you, Raymond.
00:10:21And don't do that again.
00:10:22Like we don't have enough problems.
00:10:25What I didn't realize and what I learned from doing that, from us doing that, oh, wait,
00:10:37your parents are all crazy, too.
00:10:39Yes.
00:10:40We get it all the time.
00:10:41People from all over parts of the world tell us, that's my mother.
00:10:44That's my father.
00:10:45That's my mother.
00:10:46We didn't know your mother.
00:10:47We were writing our mother.
00:10:48And we have so many favorite episodes, some of the ones we're gonna talk about tonight.
00:10:52I have one that just came to mind and it's good since we're starting.
00:10:55You know, we did a flashback episode at the end of every season.
00:10:58And this was my favorite because it's how they met, meaning Ray and Debra.
00:11:04You know, it looks like I made too much food here if you're hungry.
00:11:09Oh.
00:11:10Yeah?
00:11:11Yeah, you want some?
00:11:12All right, yeah.
00:11:13Wrap it up.
00:11:14I'll eat it in the truck.
00:11:19Can I ask you something?
00:11:20Yeah, sure.
00:11:21Were you making all that food for someone and they didn't show up?
00:11:28They showed up.
00:11:32Hey, you want something to drink?
00:11:33Yeah, yeah.
00:11:34Well, let me get that.
00:11:35Okay, the glasses are right there.
00:11:36Okay.
00:11:37Ice?
00:11:38Yeah.
00:11:39I like the round cubes with the holes in them. Those are my favorite kind of cubes.
00:11:56Are you okay?
00:11:57Yeah, I'm fine.
00:11:58You all right?
00:11:59Yeah.
00:12:00You're a good kisser.
00:12:01All right, you're in shock.
00:12:02You're both so great in that and it's just so sweet to me in addition to being funny.
00:12:14The flashback episodes were always fun to do.
00:12:15Look, I like all the episodes but of course there's some we like more than others and I have like a top five and the one off the top of my head is called talk to your daughter.
00:12:27So talk to your daughter is about at some point having to have the talk with your child about the birds and the bees, you know?
00:12:46When a man and a woman love each other very much, they get married and then sometimes they decide to make a baby.
00:12:55I know that the man and the woman have to do something but why are we born? Why has God put us here?
00:13:16Why are we here daddy?
00:13:20Yeah, I heard you. I heard you.
00:13:24You don't want to talk about sex?
00:13:28What do you mean?
00:13:29I don't even want to talk about sex.
00:13:30She started asking questions about life. Why did God put us here? Crazy stuff like that.
00:13:36Wow, so what did you say?
00:13:37I told her we're here because heaven is crowded.
00:13:42You said heaven is crowded?
00:13:44I got ambushed!
00:13:46If you want to know what's in the Bible, why don't you talk to Father Hubley?
00:13:49Hey, that's right, you know what? It's his job to know these things.
00:13:53What, are you gonna call him?
00:13:54Yeah, what are we putting the money in that basket for?
00:13:57Me and the family were just sitting around and we had a quick question for you.
00:14:02What is the meaning of life?
00:14:05So if you could get back to us as soon as possible, we'd appreciate it, alright?
00:14:14I hate to admit it, but I'm guilty of, I didn't have that talk with my kids.
00:14:19Now I have 19 grandchildren.
00:14:23Alright, they don't want to hear two old guys talk.
00:14:25They don't?
00:14:26Should we bring out some people for you?
00:14:28Yes, yes.
00:14:29Let's do that.
00:14:32We'll do it right away.
00:14:36When I got married, I didn't just get a husband, I got a whole freak show that set up their tent right across the street.
00:14:45Oh, you were open and considerate and willing to look at your own faults.
00:14:50You made me sick!
00:14:52Ray.
00:14:53Ray.
00:14:54Ray?
00:14:55Ray!
00:14:56Hello, Raymond.
00:14:57I do not have a drinking problem, sir.
00:14:58What I have is a mother-in-law problem.
00:15:02Woo!
00:15:06No.
00:15:07No.
00:15:08No.
00:15:09We're going to counseling.
00:15:10No!
00:15:11You meant what I said here today.
00:15:12I love you!
00:15:13I'm pregnant!
00:15:14There's a reason for the yeller!
00:15:15I have no idea what I have to put up with.
00:15:23Ladies and gentlemen, Patricia Heaton!
00:15:26Patty!
00:15:44Look at these two.
00:15:45I'm so happy.
00:15:46Do you know, I didn't say this, we saw 200 women before we found Patty Heaton.
00:15:53200!
00:15:54And when she came in, she just knocked it out of the park.
00:15:58I mean, you can talk about what that day was like.
00:16:00Well, I was going through, and I think why the show worked, we were all going through what the Barone family was going through in our lives.
00:16:08We all had kids.
00:16:09Yes.
00:16:10Yes.
00:16:11And I had a three-year-old and a one-year-old in my life.
00:16:14Right.
00:16:15I had a babysitting issue when I was coming to the audition.
00:16:18I needed to get back.
00:16:19I was cutting out coupons for 50 cents off two packs of ballpark francs.
00:16:24And so I needed the gig.
00:16:27And I got there, and there was a waiting room of at least eight women.
00:16:30And I thought, I'm never going to get back in time for the babysitter.
00:16:33And so I went in and sat there, and I just needed to get this audition done.
00:16:37And there was a guy sitting in the corner, and I thought, maybe he can get me some water while we're waiting for Ray to come.
00:16:43It was him.
00:16:44And I didn't really have to do research, and I didn't really have to do acting, because it was what we were all dealing with in our marriages.
00:16:50And so, fortunately, we got to monetize that.
00:16:53Yeah.
00:16:54Yes.
00:16:55You were living the role.
00:16:56You were living the role.
00:16:57Living the role.
00:16:58You know, when I need to talk to Ray about, like, my feelings or our children, I know I have until the commercial's over.
00:17:04That gives me 30 seconds.
00:17:05And if there's a girl in the commercial, or a truck with big wheels, or, God forbid, a monkey, forget it.
00:17:12I think it was the first show I'd worked on.
00:17:14I worked for a while on TV that really encouraged us to bring in our stories from home.
00:17:18Phil, in the writer's room, only half-jokingly said,
00:17:21All right, we need two more stories. Anybody having a fight with their spouse?
00:17:24Phil's idea when he was running the show was, how can you write about real life if you can't live one?
00:17:29There's an episode of Raymond called The 10th Anniversary, where Ray and Deborah put in the VHS tape of their wedding on their 10th anniversary.
00:17:36Oh.
00:17:39And discovered that he's taped over with a Super Bowl.
00:17:43I did that.
00:17:47It was my first anniversary.
00:17:49We put in our VHS tape and discovered that I had taped over our wedding with an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond.
00:17:55Where did our wedding go?
00:18:02It's just, like, the stories seem authentic.
00:18:04And whether it's more exaggerated than maybe it would have happened in real life, like, that kernel of truth, I think, comes through.
00:18:09Well, 10 years, that's enough.
00:18:12It was such a pleasure to write for both of you.
00:18:20And there was one other...
00:18:24Phil's getting emotional.
00:18:25A little bit.
00:18:26Because it's a dream to wind up with people like this.
00:18:30If you're just a writer, you pray for someone to come along and give so much more beyond it and to make it real.
00:18:38My favorite thing about the cast was how they all committed to the most silly thing as if it was life and death.
00:18:48And that made it so alive and real and relatable.
00:18:52And the two of you had the most spectacular chemistry.
00:18:55And I always said that Patty Heaton's the best wife on television.
00:18:58Aw.
00:18:59Well, we're also...
00:19:00Where...
00:19:05I think we're forgetting one little key element that really sold me on you during that first audition.
00:19:12That's how desperate I was to get the job.
00:19:14Yeah.
00:19:15Well, they don't know what you're talking about.
00:19:16I kissed him.
00:19:17Yes, there was...
00:19:18There was a part where it says she kisses her husband, and every other actress just kind of mimed it.
00:19:25For some reason, she did it.
00:19:26They really...
00:19:27Nobody else...
00:19:29And when she walked out, I go, that's the one!
00:19:33Patty, do you have a favorite episode?
00:19:35Um, yes.
00:19:36There was the one where we went away for a weekend and we put the suitcase on the landing.
00:19:43We put it there and neither of us would take it up and empty it.
00:19:47And we keep waiting for the other person to do it.
00:19:50What are you doing?
00:19:52What?
00:19:54Just packing a soda for the road.
00:19:56Problem?
00:19:57That's how you're getting on the airplane.
00:19:59Yeah.
00:20:00Yeah, I'm traveling light, I'm traveling loose.
00:20:04What are you, a hobo?
00:20:09Why don't you take the suitcase?
00:20:11What?
00:20:12You know what?
00:20:13I don't need it.
00:20:16Okay, you know what?
00:20:23Yeah, good.
00:20:24You know what?
00:20:25I'm getting it.
00:20:27What's that supposed to mean?
00:20:29It means, I'll get it.
00:20:32I'll be the one who got it.
00:20:35Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
00:20:39I will get it.
00:20:40Let the record show that I got it.
00:20:42Let go of it.
00:20:43You let go of it.
00:20:44You let go of it.
00:20:45Let go of it.
00:20:46Let go of it.
00:20:47Let go of it.
00:20:48Let go of it.
00:20:49Let go.
00:20:50Let go of it.
00:20:51No, you don't.
00:20:52No, you don't.
00:20:54No, you don't.
00:20:55No.
00:20:56I'm moving it.
00:20:58I'm moving it, everybody.
00:21:00Look at me and...
00:21:02Don't let a suitcase filled with cheese be your big fork and spoon.
00:21:23This is all your fault.
00:21:25When did we get those?
00:21:37That's one of my favorite lines ever in the show, because that to me is marriage, especially a long marriage.
00:21:42Yes. So many people. And this is really, I think, what's not important about comedy.
00:21:49But every month, at least, if not every week, somebody either on social media or if I run into them, says your show was the one thing that our family could laugh together when my father was sick.
00:22:02And it was his favorite thing that's been going on for 30 years.
00:22:05And so, you know, it just feels like we're able to do that.
00:22:10That's beautiful.
00:22:13We needed to kick Ray's brother.
00:22:16Should we bring him out soon?
00:22:19Trouble in paradise?
00:22:29Why would you want to hear me complain about Ray?
00:22:35Perhaps we haven't met. I'm Robert Barone.
00:22:38Hey, hey.
00:22:39Hey, Robert!
00:22:41Everybody loves Ray.
00:22:42Surprise! It's an iguana.
00:22:45Make a mess.
00:22:49Here you go. Here you go.
00:22:50All right, sir.
00:22:51Perfect. Perfect.
00:22:53Who is the man?
00:22:55And I am the man.
00:22:56I need to say something.
00:22:58Mom!
00:22:59No wife, no children.
00:23:01Pathetic.
00:23:05Thanks for the kind words.
00:23:09Brad Garrett, everybody!
00:23:10Thank you!
00:23:11Thank you!
00:23:11Thank you!
00:23:12Thank you!
00:23:12Thank you!
00:23:12Thank you!
00:23:13Thank you!
00:23:13Thank you!
00:23:14Thank you!
00:23:14Thank you!
00:23:15Thank you!
00:23:15Thank you!
00:23:16Thank you!
00:23:16Thank you!
00:23:17Thank you!
00:23:17Thank you!
00:23:18Oh!
00:23:20Oh!
00:23:20Hey!
00:23:21I'll come around!
00:23:22I'll come around!
00:23:23I'll come around!
00:23:24Thank you!
00:23:25Thank you!
00:23:26Thank you!
00:23:27Thank you!
00:23:28Thank you!
00:23:29Phillip!
00:23:30Thank you!
00:23:31Oh!
00:23:32Thank you!
00:23:33Thank you!
00:23:34I'm going to jail over here!
00:23:35Oh, boy!
00:23:37It is so great to meet you!
00:23:40Do you have any memories of coming in and meeting Ray and...
00:23:47I remember auditioning when I read who Robert was.
00:23:51I just felt I knew this guy, you know?
00:23:53I was the youngest of three brothers growing up and they were, you know, much more popular
00:24:00and they had a lot more going for them and I kind of felt like the kid that grew up under
00:24:04the sink, you know?
00:24:05So, uh, when I read it, I kind of felt like I knew, uh, who Robert was, you know?
00:24:11Yes, Ray?
00:24:12Um, how could you...
00:24:13You have to raise your hand.
00:24:14It's your show.
00:24:15How could you fit under the sink?
00:24:22Well...
00:24:23We would write lines, jokes, and sometimes we didn't need them.
00:24:28Why?
00:24:29Because when we would cut to a face, they already said it with their look.
00:24:33And it was better than anything we could write.
00:24:36And the king of this was Brad.
00:24:39Yes.
00:24:40That's very sweet.
00:24:41Just beautiful.
00:24:43Do you enjoy your days on the show?
00:24:44Not really.
00:24:45No?
00:24:46Many.
00:24:47You know what I think of a lot is the episode, She's the One, where the girl I was dating
00:24:54ate the fly.
00:24:55Oh, yes.
00:24:56And when you tried to tell me what you saw in the kitchen, that scene was so great,
00:25:03but there was a moment where you were...
00:25:05Yeah, I almost passed out.
00:25:07Tell me, you were screaming or you had some type of...
00:25:10Well, I saw her eat the fly.
00:25:11Yeah.
00:25:12And then you come in and you talk to Patty and say, I really think she's the one.
00:25:16And...
00:25:17And I say, she's not the one.
00:25:18Right?
00:25:19And...
00:25:20And I tell you she ate the fly.
00:25:21You don't believe me.
00:25:22And I tell the story.
00:25:23And again, all this pent up.
00:25:24And finally, I end with...
00:25:25She took the fly.
00:25:26She put it in...
00:25:27And then I scream at...
00:25:28She ate it!
00:25:29And I hyperventilate it.
00:25:30And if you look very closely, you see me go...
00:25:32Ooh!
00:25:33Ooh!
00:25:34Because I almost...
00:25:35I felt like I was going to pass out.
00:25:36Who hyperventilates saying a line?
00:25:43Hey, you got him!
00:25:44Yeah, I guess I did.
00:25:45Wow!
00:25:46Good hands.
00:25:47All right, um...
00:25:48Oh, it's okay.
00:25:49I got it.
00:25:50Okay.
00:25:51Down.
00:26:12The fly.
00:26:13That was flying around.
00:26:15Angela killed it.
00:26:16It fell on the table.
00:26:18She put it in a napkin.
00:26:19And then she ate it!
00:26:33Commit it!
00:26:35Brett, do you...
00:26:36Is that your favorite or do you have a favorite?
00:26:38Boy, there's so many.
00:26:39I...
00:26:40I really...
00:26:41loved Lucky Suit.
00:26:42Yes!
00:26:43Where...
00:26:44Where Robert, uh...
00:26:45Has an interview to work with the FBI.
00:26:47So, as I was saying, this is...
00:26:49this a joke? Excuse me? Dear FBI agent Garfield, I'm writing to ask for your
00:26:56understanding you have an interview this morning with my son Robert Barone.
00:27:19Robbie, you scared me. How did your interview go? Come here, let me tell you about it.
00:27:33Didn't it go well? Oh, it was going okay. And then agent Garfield read me a letter about
00:27:39crazy Robert and his lucky suit. Mom, what did he do? She faxed the FBI a letter about how
00:27:46she ruined my lucky suit. I wasn't sure it went through. It was the first time I ever
00:27:50used a fax machine. Marie, why don't you go into the kitchen and Robert, how about you
00:27:56just stay here and maybe blink a few times?
00:28:04The Mother's Day. This is a good story. After one of my shows, this guy came up to me after
00:28:12the show and it was really amazing. He was a veteran and I remember that Phil, you and Ray
00:28:22would always send the DVDs to our troops when the show was on the air. And he gave me his
00:28:30retirement challenge coin and he served from 1999 to 2020. And he said, you guys really helped
00:28:41when we needed the humor more than anything. And it really kept us buoyant in what we were
00:28:48going through every day. And yeah. Yeah. It's an honor to be on this bus. And thanks for
00:28:58letting me on, even though I was a giant. There's more people coming out. We'll be right back,
00:29:03I guess. This is something, huh? Yeah. Something. Something.
00:29:26It's an honor to be on this bus.
00:29:34It's an honor to be on this bus.
00:29:36It's an honor to be on this bus.
00:29:40And it still has the dent from where I picked Patty up and threw her into the thing. Very good.
00:30:03So there was someone else in that scene that I knew for a long time before we did the show. I saw
00:30:11her first in a play and I thought she was really funny. And then I married that girl.
00:30:15I might not be the best person to help. I've spent the last 10 years looking for an engagement ring.
00:30:20Oh, Robert, this is my friend Amy. We used to work at the PR firm together.
00:30:24Hi. Hi, Ray. Here we go.
00:30:26Oh, look. This one looks like a heart.
00:30:28Stop your crying and get off your pity pot, Nancy.
00:30:32Oh, God. I keep forgetting what a freak show this family is until somebody new comes in and looks at us like that.
00:30:39Oh, God. Wait.
00:30:51Did your mother come over and make things worse as usual?
00:31:01Here's Monica. Monica.
00:31:03Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:31:09Hi, Monica. Hi, Monica brought a slightly different energy to the family, right?
00:31:34You know, just being here is so incredible, right?
00:31:37I can't believe how everyone did the set, like everybody backstage and you guys being here.
00:31:43It's so overwhelming. It's unbelievable.
00:31:46Talk about, what about, because first you were recurring, right?
00:31:50Yes. Well, first I didn't even know I'd be recurring.
00:31:52Can I tell you a little something?
00:31:54Yes.
00:31:54I was pregnant with our daughter, Lily, and I didn't know it.
00:31:58I found out after, so that first, I didn't know that.
00:32:02What? And flash forward, too, she just got married.
00:32:05And she just got married, Liz.
00:32:06Oh, Lily, Lily got married, yeah.
00:32:10We had a lot of babies on this show.
00:32:12A lot of babies.
00:32:13The moral is this show made us horny.
00:32:17We were happy.
00:32:18When did you officially know you were a regular?
00:32:23It just started building and building and building.
00:32:26And Robert and Amy, it really was, you know, I've had only a couple comedy partners in my life,
00:32:32but this one and that writing to this couple was so perfect, wasn't it?
00:32:37It was great.
00:32:38It was so fun, and it was to then be with, like, one of the greatest comic teams of all time, Ray and Deborah.
00:32:46That's you guys.
00:32:48Yeah, you were brilliant.
00:32:50So it was really lucky.
00:32:51Do you have a favorite episode?
00:32:52Oh, yeah.
00:32:53All of them you mentioned.
00:32:54There's so many favorite episodes.
00:32:56The one that captures my heart is because my dear, beloved Georgia, who I was very close with,
00:33:01the Georgia Angle, who played my mom, and it's Pat's Secret.
00:33:06Oh, hey.
00:33:09Is everything all right?
00:33:11What, can't sleep?
00:33:14Yeah, me neither.
00:33:25Mind if I bum a ciggy?
00:33:29Robert was smoking.
00:33:30I wasn't.
00:33:31I wasn't.
00:33:32Smell him.
00:33:33Come here.
00:33:34Come here.
00:33:36Oh, my God.
00:33:38Do you know what he's been doing?
00:33:42Smell him.
00:33:42Smell him.
00:33:43Smell him.
00:33:43Smell him, not bad.
00:33:46It wasn't lying.
00:33:47It was more like she was just letting off steam so you don't let it out on the person you love.
00:33:52You know?
00:33:54Like Ray.
00:33:56He has to drive around the block a few times every night listening to the radio before he goes home to face Deborah.
00:34:01Are you crazy?
00:34:14Are you crazy?
00:34:14Are you crazy?
00:34:16I'm crazy.
00:34:17When I'm angry at my cat, Miss Puss, sometimes I'll sneak up behind her and bark like a dog.
00:34:22I like to blow up.
00:34:24I like to blow up fireworks.
00:34:33Pat!
00:34:34I thought since it wasn't a secret anymore.
00:34:46She was just in heaven and she always talked to everyone about the writing on this show,
00:34:58working with Phil for years and years and years after.
00:35:01So thank you for letting us be in the back.
00:35:03We're so lucky to work with these comedy legends that we idolized.
00:35:07You know, we stand on the shoulders of the great people that came before us.
00:35:12Obviously, people have passed and we've seen a lot of clips of our mom and dad on the show.
00:35:18But when we come back, we'll talk about them.
00:35:31So, let's talk about the parents.
00:35:43For you and me, it's very personal because they were so based on our parents.
00:35:50Yeah, the mother was more you.
00:35:52I mean, the mother was definitely more you.
00:35:54And the dad was more you, maybe?
00:35:55I used to say everything you saw Peter do, my father probably did in real life without pants on.
00:36:04But I remember just talking about Peter during the pilot episode.
00:36:08So now I'm a young guy who just got fired from news radio.
00:36:12And here I am again attempting a show.
00:36:15And I'm nervous.
00:36:16And Peter is the great Peter Boyle, this iconic movie guy.
00:36:20And he's an imposing figure.
00:36:22I didn't know then how sweet he really was.
00:36:25And I hadn't really had a conversation with Peter.
00:36:28And our paths were crossing.
00:36:29And I swear to God, it must have been right here.
00:36:32And he just stops me.
00:36:33And I haven't said anything to him.
00:36:35He just stops me.
00:36:36And I guess he could tell.
00:36:37He could tell that I was a little nervous.
00:36:39And he just looks and he goes, I remember the words.
00:36:41He just goes, it's just like water.
00:36:44Just let it flow.
00:36:46And then he leaves.
00:36:47And at that time, I'm like, what does that mean?
00:36:52And even though, as an actor, I didn't know exactly what that meant.
00:36:57But I do now.
00:36:58Just the gesture.
00:36:59The gesture of him reaching out to me.
00:37:02It's everything.
00:37:03Yeah.
00:37:04It's everything.
00:37:04Yeah.
00:37:05Beautiful.
00:37:06Anyway, go ahead.
00:37:07Talk about Doris.
00:37:10We saw a hundred ladies for the part.
00:37:14They all read with that fruit of the month scene.
00:37:17No one came close to Doris Roberts.
00:37:19No one.
00:37:21She was what was in my head and in my life and and was was so beyond even.
00:37:29My my real mother used to say, you know, it is a little exaggerated.
00:37:37But you never saw that with Doris because she was always spot on.
00:37:41She was always 100 percent believable.
00:37:44Yeah.
00:37:44Peter, too.
00:37:45Again, I keep reiterating the same thing.
00:37:47We could be the best writers in the world.
00:37:49It wouldn't matter if we didn't have these people and Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts.
00:37:57Let me show you something.
00:37:59Let me show you something.
00:38:06Marie?
00:38:07Oh, well, okay.
00:38:11Oh, Frank, this is wonderful.
00:38:14You dumb bastard.
00:38:18What?
00:38:19Write it out.
00:38:20You put a stop to this now.
00:38:22All right, Dad.
00:38:23Let me ask you.
00:38:24She's in a bad mood.
00:38:25What?
00:38:26Two, three days tops?
00:38:29Before you know it, what used to be a bad mood now takes over and becomes her only mood.
00:38:36And then, well, then you become like me.
00:38:41When not a day goes by that I don't wish there was a comet screaming towards Earth to bring me sweet relief.
00:38:47That's going to need another coat.
00:39:02Did you say that you like Amy more than Deborah?
00:39:07I am not saying that I like Amy more than Deborah.
00:39:11I know.
00:39:14I know you're not saying it now.
00:39:18But did you say it ever?
00:39:26What if I told you that we have a tape of you saying it, Mom?
00:39:29Give me the tape.
00:39:39What we do in our bedroom is our own business.
00:39:41And I prefer not to be known as the whore of Lindbrook.
00:39:49We can move from Lindbrook.
00:39:55Can't you ever just be quiet?
00:39:57Don't you tell me to be quiet.
00:39:59I have a mind of my own, you know.
00:40:01I can contribute.
00:40:02I'm not just some trophy wife.
00:40:14You're a trophy wife?
00:40:17What contest in hell did I win?
00:40:23You still can't think of anything nice to say about me?
00:40:27How about I sleep on it?
00:40:36It's all jokes.
00:40:48Frank, what are you doing?
00:40:50No, no, no, no, I need that, Frank.
00:41:05I like you better without the crap on your face.
00:41:07I left my heart
00:41:16In San Francisco
00:41:23Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.
00:41:26My wife thinks I'm in the bathroom.
00:41:27I think we all have special memories of each one of them, you know?
00:41:56Doris could drink everybody under the table.
00:42:00Champagne, that was her choice.
00:42:02Pretty good.
00:42:02Never stop working, right?
00:42:03Never stop working on hiatuses.
00:42:05Yeah.
00:42:06Always working.
00:42:07Taking acting classes.
00:42:09And directing plays.
00:42:10Ninety.
00:42:10Yes.
00:42:11And Peter was pretty much the opposite of that guy.
00:42:15He was a kind of a renaissance man.
00:42:19Yes, he wasn't really like that character.
00:42:22Two things about him you may not know.
00:42:24He studied to be a monk.
00:42:26Yes.
00:42:27I asked him, what made you give it up?
00:42:28He said there weren't enough girls there.
00:42:30And best man at his wedding was John Lennon.
00:42:37Yeah.
00:42:37Yeah.
00:42:37How about that?
00:42:39As a matter of fact, the girl he married is here tonight.
00:42:43Yeah.
00:42:43Lorraine Boyle is sitting right up there.
00:42:45Lorraine.
00:42:45Lorraine.
00:42:46Yay.
00:42:52Well, you know, it's funny.
00:42:55I remember when Peter Boyle was cast and we were, like, so excited because we're going
00:43:01to be able to play every week with this legend, and Ray went, you know, I think it's so fitting
00:43:08that the guy who's playing your dad was young Frankenstein.
00:43:14Yeah, yeah.
00:43:16Well, they became our parents in more ways than one on the show.
00:43:20Yes.
00:43:20To Doris and Peter.
00:43:21Yes.
00:43:22Yay.
00:43:23Cheers.
00:43:24Yes, cheers.
00:43:25Bye.
00:43:29I love you.
00:43:44Hey.
00:43:46Good?
00:43:46Yeah.
00:43:47Yeah, good.
00:43:50Even better the second time now that my tongue's not scared.
00:43:55Everything happened over food.
00:43:56There was so much food on the show, and it just sort of taught you that, like, lessons
00:44:00are learned and arguments are made.
00:44:03When you're sitting down to eat, you learn a lot about each other.
00:44:07You should ask Debra how she makes this.
00:44:09I should ask Debra.
00:44:14I should ask Debra.
00:44:16Give me that.
00:44:19Food is, you know, it's family.
00:44:33Gathering around the table, just like love.
00:44:35Food is love, because food is bringing people together.
00:44:47And so, yeah, we hit it all the time.
00:44:50A man needs chicken.
00:44:53Food is everything, and that's because that's Phil's obsession.
00:44:57For Phil, food was the most important thing, and it's the great connector.
00:45:01We, uh, actually had a lot to eat on the plate.
00:45:03So, off we go to Italy, and of course, the character of Ray Barone is miserable.
00:45:11Hey, this is the Spanish steps.
00:45:13Where's the Spanish elevator?
00:45:16But I remember this one moment.
00:45:17Pizza.
00:45:18Oh, thank you.
00:45:22And that piece of pizza, when he put it in his mouth.
00:45:24Wow.
00:45:25It's okay.
00:45:26Ray has this epiphany about everything.
00:45:29This is like the best pizza I ever had, man.
00:45:31He realizes the great thing, which is his family, the culture, the people.
00:45:37All those things are actually truly beautiful, and he's been missing them the whole episode.
00:45:46Look, we're in the kitchen.
00:45:47Yeah, yeah.
00:45:47Uh, food was a very important part of the show.
00:45:51Uh, I think Marie held sway over the entire family, because she was a great cook, and, uh, who wasn't?
00:45:57Aw.
00:46:00But we should talk about our children.
00:46:03Daddy, daddy, catch me!
00:46:05Ah!
00:46:09Yeah, everybody say cavities.
00:46:12Cavities!
00:46:14Mommy, that man's smoking.
00:46:17Narc.
00:46:18You look like you're doing pretty good here.
00:46:20You don't need my help, do you?
00:46:21Yes, I do.
00:46:22All right, don't worry.
00:46:23Daddy's here to help you.
00:46:24You can't make me.
00:46:27Look, I'm your father.
00:46:28You have to do what I say.
00:46:29What are you?
00:46:31Why?
00:46:34Come on, guys.
00:46:35We're not snorkeling.
00:46:36We're eating.
00:46:37It's fine, Stella!
00:46:38I'm fine!
00:46:39It's fine!
00:46:42We were just, uh...
00:46:46Hey, you know what?
00:46:46Madeline and Sullivan Sweeten, are you here?
00:47:07Wow.
00:47:07Everybody's grown up.
00:47:10They, uh, in the blink of an eye, your kids grow up.
00:47:12Hi, you guys.
00:47:14Hi!
00:47:14So emotional.
00:47:16I know!
00:47:19Do you want to sit on my lap?
00:47:23What was it like to grow up here with us, with us maniacs?
00:47:26I mean, I don't know.
00:47:27I think it just felt like what we were supposed to do.
00:47:29I don't think we understood, right, the...
00:47:32how impactful the show was or how impactful what we were doing was.
00:47:36So, yeah, I would get upset that, you know, I couldn't be in the school play.
00:47:40Yeah, but looking back, you know, I wouldn't change anything about it.
00:47:44That's so great to hear.
00:47:45It's so good to see you guys.
00:47:46It really is.
00:47:47Tell us what you're doing now.
00:47:48I just had a baby.
00:47:50Yeah!
00:47:50Yay!
00:47:52Your grandparents!
00:47:53Yeah, you're a grandpa!
00:47:56Yeah, I brought him here with me today.
00:47:58Oh!
00:47:59My husband are in the back.
00:48:00Oh, great.
00:48:01They're excited to meet you.
00:48:02You guys were always in a good mood.
00:48:06We had lots of candy.
00:48:08But you were also, I want to say, fantastic.
00:48:12We were on set with some of the most amazing comedic actors in the world.
00:48:17So it was, you know, we were learning from everybody how to do it.
00:48:20And that's the only reason that we were, you know, any good at it, I think.
00:48:24Yeah, and I definitely feel like I carried that experience through my whole life.
00:48:27You know, I try to bring that kind of comedy with me wherever I go.
00:48:31Do you have a favorite episode?
00:48:33You know, it's funny, I'm not in my favorite episode.
00:48:36Now as an adult, as I've been watching it back, I found there's so many more adult things
00:48:41that I didn't realize when I was a kid.
00:48:44And my favorite episode is Marie's statue.
00:48:49I give you this.
00:48:54Isn't it a bit too ladylike?
00:49:05Great.
00:49:05You see?
00:49:06Oh, now I do.
00:49:08It looks like something though.
00:49:09What does it look like?
00:49:10You can get close, you can even touch it.
00:49:15I'm fine.
00:49:19I gotta tell you, I don't know what the hell this is.
00:49:23But I love it.
00:49:25Hello, Raymond Barone?
00:49:28I'm Sister Anne, this is Sister Beth.
00:49:30We're here to pick up the sculpture.
00:49:31Forgive me, but is that not a sculptor of...
00:49:42What?!
00:49:49Oh my god, I'm a lesbian.
00:49:57But what happened to the sculpture?
00:49:59I think it was in Doris's backyard.
00:50:03I think her grandkids used it as a slide.
00:50:13Sullivan, you've got one.
00:50:15Oh, I've got plenty of good memories, you know,
00:50:17playing tag in the bleachers and, you know, the prop room.
00:50:20But I think I'm a sucker for a happy ending.
00:50:23And the final scene with everybody gathered around the table
00:50:25has gotta be my favorite memory.
00:50:27Like we are now.
00:50:29Hey, what do you got there, french toast?
00:50:30No, no, no, no, don't worry, I'll make something.
00:50:32Yay!
00:50:34All right, Uncle Robert told me you're big,
00:50:35and if you don't want to get eaten, move out of the way.
00:50:37Thank you, darling.
00:50:37This isn't something.
00:50:39What do we have here?
00:50:40Here, have some food in the meantime.
00:50:43Ah, some of the grapes, some of the grapes.
00:50:45Right.
00:50:45It's getting a little too crowded in here.
00:50:47Yeah, it is.
00:50:49You know what?
00:50:50We need a bigger table.
00:50:51Yes, sir.
00:50:52All right.
00:50:53Who would like some chocolate chip pancakes?
00:51:01The philosophy of, we need a bigger table,
00:51:05is everything to me.
00:51:07You know, the family is a microcosm of your families,
00:51:12we hope, and of wherever you live,
00:51:15and our country and the world.
00:51:17We need a bigger table.
00:51:19So that's the idea.
00:51:20That's why I wanted it to be the last thing.
00:51:27Can we mention also...
00:51:29Sawyer? Yeah, who's...
00:51:31So Sawyer, of course, is no longer with us, and we miss him.
00:51:34And he, just like you were, just this bright energy, light...
00:51:38None of us really expected what happened.
00:51:41But, you know, I try to think about the good moments,
00:51:45and often times that's here on the set.
00:51:48I just think it's so important, any conversation that we're having about Sawyer.
00:51:51We're very passionate in our family about suicide prevention.
00:51:55It is the second leading cause of death between the ages of 18 to 25.
00:52:00But 90% of people who seek treatment are cured.
00:52:04And so many of the messages that we get are people saying,
00:52:08I'm so grateful to have heard about your brother.
00:52:10He saved my life.
00:52:11Is there an organization that you work with on behalf of Sawyer,
00:52:15where people could reach out to you?
00:52:17We work with the National Suicide Prevention Hotline.
00:52:20That's our main place.
00:52:22Okay.
00:52:23Yeah, but, you know, people can grab a Sawyer t-shirt.
00:52:26We do t-shirts every year, and all of the proceeds go there.
00:52:30Great.
00:52:30Yeah.
00:52:31Beautiful.
00:52:41You're not getting off.
00:52:43Don't push me.
00:52:44Ah!
00:52:45Get out!
00:52:51I almost didn't know how lucky I was working with
00:52:56amazing actors.
00:53:01That allowed you then to take these big swings with physical comedy.
00:53:06And then the actors, just so gifted.
00:53:10Robert, let me tell you what they did, okay?
00:53:12Oh, I am tired, sweetness.
00:53:25Oh, yeah.
00:53:28Oh, baby, does that feel good?
00:53:30Oh, God.
00:53:32Oh, God.
00:53:33Oh, God.
00:53:34Oh, God.
00:53:35Give me it.
00:53:46If Deborah has to give him permission to make more decisions,
00:53:50and then it has to spectacularly and badly.
00:53:53Deborah's going all nutty on me over here, but what else is new?
00:53:56That means Ray's got to, I don't know, like, set the kitchen on fire.
00:54:09The laugh inside the studio was like nothing I ever heard.
00:54:13Hey, what's that?
00:54:15Fire! Fire in the fire!
00:54:18Famous one was Patty dealing with that Thanksgiving turkey, and that was all her.
00:54:24Huh?
00:54:24Yeah.
00:54:26Deborah is wrestling with a turkey that keeps falling, and you can write that on the page.
00:54:30It just looks like an action line.
00:54:34And then when Patty Heaton does it, you look at the writers around you and go,
00:54:38look how good we are.
00:54:50Okay.
00:54:50Yes, ma'am.
00:54:51Hi.
00:54:51My question for you is, do you guys have a favorite line?
00:54:54And if so, can you reenact it for us now?
00:54:57Favorite line.
00:54:58One favorite line.
00:55:00I have one.
00:55:01Yes.
00:55:02What did you do?
00:55:08Very well done.
00:55:18I have a favorite line.
00:55:20It wasn't, I didn't say it, but it was said to me, and it was from nobody on here.
00:55:25It was from a day character who was in a hospital bed, and I said something to her, and she looked
00:55:31at me and went, you tricky, tricky white boy.
00:55:39You want to get better, you got to take your pills.
00:55:45Oh, you tricky, tricky white boy.
00:55:52What has happened to you in real life since the show's ended that you thought to yourself,
00:55:57that would make a really great episode.
00:55:59Yeah.
00:56:00Our friend, Lou Schneider, who's one of the great writers of the show, he tells a story
00:56:05about how he was on vacation with the family, and he dropped his keys down the elevator shaft,
00:56:13right in the crack of the elevator door, and he was freaking out because it's the car keys,
00:56:18the house keys, everything.
00:56:20And he was really going nuts, and his wife said,
00:56:22that this is great, maybe you could use it on the show, you know, that this,
00:56:27we already did the episode where Ray loses his ring in the, in the, in the thing.
00:56:33So this is not good for the show, this is just something that happened.
00:56:41Hey guys, my question is actually for Brad Garrett.
00:56:43When Judy took you to the dance club, you have this amazing, iconic dance.
00:56:48I wanted to ask if we can recreate it right now and boogie down a little.
00:56:52Oh, you and him?
00:56:56You're in for it?
00:56:57Come on, darling.
00:57:14All right, all right, all right, all right.
00:57:18Go Hawkeye, go Hawkeye, go Hawkeye.
00:57:20Go Hawkeye, go Hawkeye, go Hawkeye.
00:57:22Go Hawkeye.
00:57:23Go Hawkeye, go Hawkeye.
00:57:24Woo.
00:57:25Yeah!
00:57:26Yeah!
00:57:26Everybody leave!
00:57:32How's this good?
00:57:35Oh my goodness.
00:57:36When Raymond left for Hollywood, me and my brother Bobby decided to put a little note
00:57:49in his suitcase because we were going to miss him, you know?
00:57:51And I didn't hear anything, and neither did my brother Robert, for nine years.
00:57:56I didn't know if he'd read it.
00:57:58And then the final show comes, and it was very, very dramatic and emotional.
00:58:05And in his speech, he says, I want to read something.
00:58:11This is a little note that my brother, both my brothers gave me when I got a thief in New York.
00:58:19I'm saying, oh my God, you saved it?
00:58:21They snuck this into my luggage.
00:58:24What I wrote to him was, I hope you remember this verse, what does it profit a man?
00:58:30He gains the whole world, but loses his soul.
00:58:35He had tears in his eyes, and he goes, I hope I did that, God.
00:58:41And it was very moving, and I think he did.
00:58:44I think God would be very happy with him.
00:58:46Thank you so much for being with us tonight.
00:58:54We're so thrilled to be with you.
00:58:55We owe everything to you guys.
00:58:57You know, when we started, it was a show about a family, four families,
00:59:01and after a little while, it was being made by a family.
00:59:04What you don't see are all the people that really made the show with us,
00:59:09some of whom we haven't seen since we went off the air.
00:59:13So if we could, let's bring most of them out.
00:59:17Yes, Kat!
00:59:24Thank you!
00:59:26I think I got the joke.
00:59:31Thank you!
00:59:38Thank you!
00:59:43Now, one little more thing we want to share with the audience.
00:59:52It's kind of like a gag reel,
00:59:54so we want to share that with you
00:59:55and with everybody who made the show.
00:59:59Oh!
01:00:00What?
01:00:01What's wrong?
01:00:02What happened?
01:00:04You kicked me!
01:00:05Right in the garden of good and evil.
01:00:12Right in Geppetto's workshop.
01:00:15Right in Granny's apples.
01:00:17Right in the Hard Rock Cafe.
01:00:20You know where I had to go for this suit?
01:00:23Wherever it was, I'll bet it was dark.
01:00:25I'm just a simple man who tried to make a difference.
01:00:40I still put my pants on one leg at a time.
01:00:45Yeah, but you should stop when I reach your nipples.
01:00:46You know where I had to go for this suit?
01:00:59A little shop of horrors.
01:01:03Okay.
01:01:06Come on.
01:01:07Come on, man.
01:01:08Now, all that remains is the issue
01:01:11of if we should be granted guardianship
01:01:12in the event that both of you die at the same time.
01:01:15Well, slow down.
01:01:16We're still trying to have an orgasm at the same time.
01:01:29You know where I had to go for this suit?
01:01:33Goldens?
01:01:35That's right.
01:01:36Hey, Marie, I knew you named them,
01:01:43but I didn't know you fed them.
01:01:48It's like I've entered a world
01:01:50where ladies want Ray.
01:01:52Ray Bird.
01:01:52Ray Bird.
01:01:53Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:01:54Ray Bird.
01:01:54Ray Bird.
01:01:55You know what?
01:01:56With your penis and my money,
01:01:57we're unstoppable.
01:01:58You better have a lot of money.
01:02:09To be honest, Debra,
01:02:10it's not a style I'd ever wear.
01:02:14Nice try, though.
01:02:15Put it on.
01:02:26Thank you, everybody.
01:02:28Want to say goodbye?
01:02:29I want to say to all of you
01:02:34and to all of you,
01:02:36I used to say this to Ray all the time,
01:02:40thanks for the good life.
01:02:42Yeah.
01:02:42And we wish the same to all of you.
01:02:44Thank you, everybody.
01:02:47Thank you, everybody.
01:02:48Thank you, everybody.
01:02:59Thank you, everybody.
01:02:59Oh.
