00:00:00Likeability, there's no sell-by date on that sort of thing.
00:00:03What they wrote was timeless because it was authentic.
00:00:08It's the kind of show I wish was on the air right now.
00:00:12Whenever you find it on TV, it makes me stop.
00:00:15And every joke is still just as funny.
00:00:17And this murderer's row of a cast.
00:00:20Ray, what's somebody you wanted in your home?
00:00:22You wanted to be part of that family.
00:00:25I believe in 20, 30, 40, 50 more years.
00:00:29We'll still love Everybody Loves Raymond.
00:00:31The writing and the acting, directing, that was near perfect, my God.
00:00:35And it's in color.
00:01:29Don't make me cry.
00:01:32Thank you, thank you.
00:01:37I love you, I love you, thank you.
00:01:40Don't make me cry yet.
00:01:41There's gonna be a lot of that.
00:01:43Let me just tell you something.
00:01:44The reason we're doing this is because of the fans.
00:01:47I mean, I miss it.
00:01:48I miss everything.
00:01:49I miss you people.
00:01:51I miss the cast.
00:01:52My real wife is backstage with my TV wife.
00:01:55Yes.
00:01:56If you've been married for a long time, folks,
00:01:59you know, there's a lot of ups and downs,
00:02:00and this is an example of how long we've been married.
00:02:03The other day, she actually said to me,
00:02:05you know, you don't talk a lot,
00:02:08but when you do, it's too much.
00:02:14We're gonna have a great night.
00:02:15I'm so glad you're here.
00:02:16Who came from, like, far away?
00:02:18Who's from the...
00:02:18Where are you from?
00:02:19Philippines.
00:02:19I watched you when I was, like, seven or eight.
00:02:21In the Philippines?
00:02:23Yes.
00:02:23But, of course, dubbed in...
00:02:25No, I learned English from...
00:02:26You learned English from me.
00:02:28Well, I appreciate it,
00:02:37but thank you very much.
00:02:39Listen, before we go even further,
00:02:41I want to bring out a man
00:02:42who's been my partner in this venture,
00:02:45in this journey for the last 30 years.
00:02:47He's the reason that this show exists,
00:02:51but this was his baby just like it was mine.
00:02:53Please welcome Phil Rosenthal.
00:03:07How great is this?
00:03:10This is amazing.
00:03:11You learned how to speak English from Ray Romano?
00:03:14So were your first English words...
00:03:16Oh, no!
00:03:20First of all, let's get one thing out of the way.
00:03:22This, I'm sure you know, is a reunion.
00:03:25This is a reunion that we...
00:03:26Not a reboot.
00:03:27We're never going to do one
00:03:28because we're missing three cast members,
00:03:32three family members,
00:03:32so we would never try to do the show without them.
00:03:34It wouldn't be the same.
00:03:35And we have too much respect for the show itself
00:03:37and for the beautiful audience...
00:03:39Right.
00:03:40...to keep it the way it is.
00:03:41And thankfully, the show is still on
00:03:44every day all over the world, which...
00:03:46Right.
00:03:48If you want to visit your friends, we're here.
00:03:52How did we meet?
00:03:54Well, I was in bed.
00:03:57And I was watching David Letterman with my wife.
00:04:00This would have been 1995?
00:04:0295.
00:04:02We had a production company
00:04:06and we were always looking for a funny project.
00:04:10And I think we were all pretty greedy when we saw Ray.
00:04:14Our ladies and gentlemen, next guest is a very funny comedian
00:04:16making his first appearance with us tonight.
00:04:19He can also be seen...
00:04:20Wow, I just look like a mid-level mortuary
00:04:23has gotten a hold of me.
00:04:24Do me in favor now, please, a nice welcome for Ray Romano.
00:04:27Ray!
00:04:30My first impression,
00:04:31he's wearing his father's suit.
00:04:33But that's fine.
00:04:34I'm going to let that go.
00:04:35I have a three-year-old daughter
00:04:37and twin two-year-old boys.
00:04:40Wow!
00:04:44Single people are here.
00:04:47I can make them laugh.
00:04:48I can make an infant laugh in a second.
00:04:49I'll tell you, I'm losing my perspective on adult humor.
00:04:53I wrote one new joke since my twins were born.
00:04:55Here, is this funny?
00:04:56What do you think it is?
00:04:58Hi!
00:05:00Hi, everybody!
00:05:01That rings true with me.
00:05:04I had no idea how to be a parent.
00:05:06So I thought, if I can make the kid laugh, I've done something.
00:05:10I'm glad.
00:05:11I'm glad you laughed.
00:05:11If you didn't laugh at that, I would have had to come and rub my nose in your bellies.
00:05:16Yeah.
00:05:18Ray is the guy, and let's go.
00:05:21And before he gets in the cab, let's get him to sign something.
00:05:24And I think it was a combination of his likability and the quality of the material.
00:05:28I thought, you know, pretty run-of-the-mill topics,
00:05:32but the quality of the jokes in those topics, I thought, were superior.
00:05:36It was just dumb luck that we had anything to do with it.
00:05:39It's like, you know, kids playing with fireworks.
00:05:43Oh, geez, it actually exploded.
00:05:45It was sort of like that.
00:05:51That's why we're here.
00:05:56A week later, they called me and said, we'd like to sign you to a deal to try to produce a sitcom.
00:06:03Right.
00:06:03And then I had to go find a guy to write it and run it.
00:06:09Did you?
00:06:12So they set us up on a blind date here in L.A. at Arts Deli on Ventura Boulevard, and we meet.
00:06:18And I say to Ray, you know, tell me about yourself, just like I would with any of you,
00:06:22if we were going to work together, but we didn't know each other.
00:06:25So tell me about yourself.
00:06:26And you said, well, I got twin boys and an older daughter, and my parents live close by in Queens.
00:06:31You got to do the voice?
00:06:32You got to do the little bit?
00:06:32A little bit.
00:06:33Yeah, OK.
00:06:33And then my older brother's a police sergeant.
00:06:37He lives with them.
00:06:38He's always touching every bite of food to his gym before he eats it.
00:06:41And he's kind of jealous of me.
00:06:42He saw my stand-up comedy award, and he said, never ends for Raymond.
00:06:46Everybody loves Raymond.
00:06:47And do you remember what I said?
00:06:50You said, well, I don't think there's anything there.
00:06:56Jokingly.
00:06:57I thought that was a very good place to start.
00:06:59And what I didn't know about the personalities in Ray's family, I filled in with the personalities from my family.
00:07:0590% of everything you saw on the show happened to me or to Ray or to one of the other writers.
00:07:13What are you doing?
00:07:14The show had premiered, and Ray said to his wife, Anna, my show just premiered in front of all these people.
00:07:23And she said, yeah.
00:07:24And I just cleaned plum off the ceiling from the kids.
00:07:27I think this show means everything to us.
00:07:31It got to capture our family, Ray's family, everybody who worked here, their families.
00:07:38It was just like a community.
00:07:39You know, we became a community.
00:07:41We all felt so safe here and welcomed.
00:07:43I remember my dad would, he'd come out right before the show.
00:07:47He'd greet the audience.
00:07:48He always would bring me up, say hello.
00:07:50He'd do the same joke with the audience about having twins.
00:07:53Like, here's Matt.
00:07:54I have another son.
00:07:56If he was here, it'd look like this.
00:07:57And then I'd go behind him and stand on that side.
00:07:59There's one episode based on a real thing that I did, which is when I was in first grade.
00:08:04We all had to write books, you know, little picture books.
00:08:07My book was...
00:08:09The Angry Family.
00:08:15All the parents came in to read it, and, you know, they were all looking at my parents.
00:08:20Mommy was mad at the daddy.
00:08:22He got an episode out of it.
00:08:27Yeah, the Ray on the show is the Ray at home.
00:08:30And that is because at home, he does a lot of annoying things that drive me crazy.
00:08:35I think if I were to do an impression, it's just a little bit deeper, like, grunt.
00:08:40Like, I don't know.
00:08:42People do the grunt, right?
00:08:42Ugh.
00:08:43Ah, come on.
00:08:44My back is here.
00:08:46It's a little, ugh.
00:08:47Okay, now it's even worse.
00:08:48Now it's even worse.
00:08:49Deborah?
00:08:50Who brought the cookies here?
00:08:51Who brought the donuts?
00:08:52All right, I'm just going to eat one.
00:08:53Oh, my God.
00:08:54It's so good.
00:08:55Five minutes later.
00:08:57Ugh, my stomach hurts.
00:08:58Ali, why'd you do that?
00:08:59Oh, damn that.
00:09:01Oh, no.
00:09:02Deborah.
00:09:02Yep, there, it went again.
00:09:05I think one of the things that put it over the top, where CBS had to decide whether to
00:09:11put us on, was something out of your actual life, which was...
00:09:15Well, when I'm writing a pilot, I'm thinking, how do we convey exactly, in a short amount of
00:09:20time, how crazy Ray's parents are.
00:09:23And then this happened to me, where I sent my parents, I thought I was being nice, a gift
00:09:29of Fruit of the Month Club.
00:09:33Look, I appreciate the thought, Raymond, but please, don't ever send us any more food
00:09:37again, okay?
00:09:38Thanks.
00:09:38Thanks, though.
00:09:39Well, another box is coming next month.
00:09:41What?
00:09:42More pears?
00:09:43No.
00:09:45No, it's a different fruit every month.
00:09:47Every month?
00:09:48Yes, yes, that's why they call it Fruit of the Month Club.
00:09:51It's a club?
00:09:52Oh, my God, what am I going to do with all this fruit?
00:09:54Well, most people like it, Ma.
00:09:56You share it.
00:09:57Share it with all your friends.
00:09:58Which friends?
00:09:59I don't know.
00:10:00Lee and Stan.
00:10:00Lee and Stan buy their own fruit.
00:10:02Oh, why did you do this to me?
00:10:05Oh, my God.
00:10:06I can't talk to Sue with fruit in the house.
00:10:10What do you think we are, invalids?
00:10:12We can't go out and get our own fruit.
00:10:15I try to tell them.
00:10:16All right, I'm canceling the Fruit Club.
00:10:18Oh, good.
00:10:19Thank you, Raymond.
00:10:21And don't do that again.
00:10:22Like we don't have enough problems.
00:10:31What I didn't realize and what I learned from doing that, from us doing that,
00:10:35oh, wait, your parents are all crazy, too.
00:10:39Yes.
00:10:40We get it all the time.
00:10:41People from all over parts of the world tell us, that's my mother.
00:10:44That's my father.
00:10:45We didn't know your mother.
00:10:46We were writing our mother.
00:10:47And we have so many favorite episodes, some of the ones we're going to talk about tonight.
00:10:52I have one that just came to mind, and it's good since we're starting.
00:10:55You know, we did a flashback episode at the end of every season,
00:10:58and this was my favorite because it's how they met, meaning Ray and Debra.
00:11:03You know, it looks like I made too much food here if you're, um, hungry.
00:11:09Oh.
00:11:10Yeah?
00:11:11Yeah, you want some?
00:11:12All right, yeah.
00:11:13Wrap it up.
00:11:13I'll eat it in the truck.
00:11:19Can I ask you something?
00:11:20Yeah, sure.
00:11:23Were you making all that food for someone and they didn't show up?
00:11:26They showed up.
00:11:32Hey, you want something to drink?
00:11:33Yeah, yeah.
00:11:33Well, let me get that.
00:11:34Okay, the glasses are right there.
00:11:35Okay.
00:11:36Ice?
00:11:37Yeah.
00:11:37That's a good one.
00:11:38I like the round cubes with the holes in them.
00:11:55Those are my favorite kind of cubes.
00:12:00Are you okay?
00:12:03Yeah, I'm fine.
00:12:04Ah, you all right?
00:12:05Yeah.
00:12:05You're a good kisser.
00:12:13All right, you're in shock.
00:12:18You're both so great in that, and it's just so sweet to me, in addition to being funny.
00:12:23The flashback episodes were always...
00:12:24So fun.
00:12:25...murly fun to do.
00:12:26Look, I like all the episodes, but of course there's some we like more than others.
00:12:30And I have like a top five, and the one off the top of my head is called Talk to Your Daughter.
00:12:36So Talk to Your Daughter is about, at some point, having to have the talk with your child about the birds and the bees, you know?
00:12:46When a man and a woman love each other very much, they get married, and then sometimes they decide to make a baby.
00:12:56I know that the man and the woman have to do something, but why are we born?
00:13:00Why has God put us here?
00:13:19Why are we here, Daddy?
00:13:20Yeah, I heard you.
00:13:21I heard you.
00:13:24You don't want to talk about sex?
00:13:26What do you mean?
00:13:29Allie didn't want to talk about sex.
00:13:30She started asking questions about life.
00:13:32Why did God put us here?
00:13:33Crazy stuff like that.
00:13:36Wow.
00:13:37So what did you say?
00:13:37I told her we're here because heaven is crowded.
00:13:42You said heaven is crowded?
00:13:44I got ambushed!
00:13:46If you want to know what's in the Bible, why don't you talk to Father Hubley?
00:13:49Hey, that's right.
00:13:50You know what?
00:13:51It's his job to know these things.
00:13:53What, are you going to call him?
00:13:54Yeah.
00:13:54What are we putting the money in that basket for?
00:13:57Me and the family were just sitting around, and we had a quick question for you.
00:14:02What is the meaning of life?
00:14:05So if you could get back to us as soon as possible, we'd appreciate it, all right?
00:14:14I'd hate to admit it, but I'm guilty of...
00:14:16What?
00:14:17I didn't have that talk with my kids.
00:14:19Now I have 19 grandchildren.
00:14:20All right, they don't want to hear two old guys talk, should we...
00:14:25They don't?
00:14:25Should we bring out some people for you?
00:14:28Yes, yes.
00:14:30Let's do that.
00:14:32We'll do it right away.
00:14:33When I got married, I didn't just get a husband.
00:14:42I got a whole freak show that set up their tent right across the street.
00:14:47Oh, you were open and considerate and willing to look at your own faults.
00:14:51You made me sick.
00:14:52Ray.
00:14:53Ray.
00:14:53Ray.
00:14:54Ray!
00:14:54Hello, Raymond.
00:14:55I do not have a drinking problem, sir.
00:14:58What I have is a mother-in-law problem.
00:15:01No.
00:15:07No.
00:15:07No.
00:15:08We're going to counseling.
00:15:09No!
00:15:09You meant what I said here today.
00:15:11I love you!
00:15:11I'm pregnant!
00:15:12I am not the yeller.
00:15:13You are the reason for the yeller!
00:15:15I have no idea what I have to put up with.
00:15:23Ladies and gentlemen, Patricia Heaton.
00:15:26Patty!
00:15:26Patty!
00:15:27Patty!
00:15:27Patty!
00:15:27Patty!
00:15:28Patty!
00:15:28Patty!
00:15:29Patty!
00:15:29Patty!
00:15:30Patty!
00:15:31Patty!
00:15:31Patty!
00:15:44Look at these two.
00:15:45I'm so happy.
00:15:47Do you know, I didn't say this, we saw 200 women before we found Patty Heaton.
00:15:53200.
00:15:54And when she came in, she just knocked it out of the park.
00:15:58I mean, you can talk about what that day was like.
00:16:01Well, I was going through, and I think why the show worked, we were all going through what
00:16:06the Barone family was going through in our lives.
00:16:08We all had kids.
00:16:09Yes.
00:16:09We all were newly married.
00:16:10Yes.
00:16:10Yes.
00:16:10And I had a three-year-old and a one-year-old in my life.
00:16:14Right.
00:16:14But I had a babysitting issue when I was coming to the audition, I needed to get back.
00:16:20I was cutting out coupons for 50 cents off two packs of ballpark francs.
00:16:25And so I needed the gig.
00:16:26And I got there, and there was a waiting room of at least eight women.
00:16:30And I thought, I'm never going to get back in time for the babysitter.
00:16:33And so I went in and sat there, and I just needed to get this audition done.
00:16:38And there was a guy sitting in the corner, and I thought, maybe he can get me some water
00:16:42while we're waiting for Ray to come.
00:16:43It was him.
00:16:44And I didn't really have to do research, and I didn't really have to do acting, because
00:16:48it was what we were all dealing with in our marriages.
00:16:50And so, fortunately, we got to monetize that.
00:16:54Yeah.
00:16:54Yes.
00:16:55You were living the role.
00:16:56You were living the role.
00:16:57You know, when I need to talk to Ray about, like, my feelings or our children, I know
00:17:02I have until the commercial's over.
00:17:04That gives me 30 seconds.
00:17:05And if there's a girl in the commercial, or a truck with big wheels, or, God forbid,
00:17:10a monkey, forget it.
00:17:13I think it was the first show I'd worked on.
00:17:14I'd worked for a while on TV that really encouraged us to bring in our stories from home.
00:17:18Phil in the writer's room only half-jokingly said, all right, we need two more stories.
00:17:22Anybody have in the fight with their spouse?
00:17:24Phil's idea when he was running the show was, how can you write about real life if
00:17:28you can't live one?
00:17:29There's an episode of Raymond called The 10th Anniversary, where Ray and Deborah put
00:17:33in the VHS tape of their wedding on their 10th anniversary, and discovered that he's
00:17:41taped over with a Super Bowl.
00:17:45I did that, but it was my first anniversary.
00:17:49We put in our VHS tape and discovered that I had taped over our wedding with an episode
00:17:53of Everybody Loves Raymond.
00:17:55Where did our wedding go?
00:18:02It's just like the stories seem authentic.
00:18:04And whether it's more exaggerated than maybe it would have happened in real life, like
00:18:07that kernel of truth, I think, comes through.
00:18:0910 years, that's enough.
00:18:11It was such a pleasure to write for both of you.
00:18:20And there was one other.
00:18:23There was, Phil's getting emotional.
00:18:25A little bit, because it's a dream to wind up with people like this.
00:18:30If you're just a writer, you pray for someone to come along and give so much more beyond
00:18:36it and to make it real.
00:18:38My favorite thing about the cast was how they all committed to the most silly thing, as if
00:18:46it was life and death.
00:18:48And that made it so alive and real and relatable.
00:18:52And the two of you had the most spectacular chemistry.
00:18:55And I always said that Patty Heaton's the best wife on television.
00:18:58Well, we're also where I think we're forgetting one little key element that really sold me
00:19:09on you during that first audition.
00:19:12That's how desperate I was to get the job.
00:19:14Well, they don't know what you're talking about.
00:19:16I kissed him.
00:19:16Yes.
00:19:17There was a part where it says she kisses her husband.
00:19:21And every other actress just kind of mimed it.
00:19:25For some reason, she did it.
00:19:27And when she walked out, I go, that's the one.
00:19:33Patty, do you have a favorite episode?
00:19:35Yes.
00:19:36There was the one where we went away for a weekend and we put the suitcase on the landing.
00:19:43We put it there and neither of us would take it up and empty it.
00:19:47And we keep waiting for the other person to do it.
00:19:50What are you doing?
00:19:52What?
00:19:54Just packing a soda for the road.
00:19:56Problem?
00:19:58That's how you're getting on the airplane.
00:19:59Yeah.
00:20:00Yeah, I'm traveling light.
00:20:02I'm traveling loose.
00:20:04What are you, a hobo?
00:20:09Why don't you take the suitcase?
00:20:11You know what?
00:20:12I don't need it.
00:20:14Okay, you know what?
00:20:20Yeah, good.
00:20:24You know what?
00:20:26I'm getting it.
00:20:27What's that supposed to mean?
00:20:29It means I'll get it.
00:20:32I'll be the one who got it.
00:20:35Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:20:39I will get it.
00:20:40Let the record show that I got it.
00:20:42Let go of this.
00:20:43You let go of it.
00:20:43Let go of it.
00:20:44You let go of it.
00:20:45Let go of it.
00:20:47Let go of it.
00:20:48Let go of it.
00:20:48Let go.
00:20:49Let go.
00:20:52No, you don't.
00:20:53No, you don't.
00:20:54I'm done.
00:20:55Don't.
00:20:55No.
00:20:56I'm moving it.
00:20:57I don't care.
00:20:58I'm moving it.
00:20:58I'm moving it, everybody.
00:21:00Look at me.
00:21:01Don't let a suitcase filled with cheese be your big fork and spoon.
00:21:23This is all your fault.
00:21:25When did we get those?
00:21:37That's one of my favorite lines ever in the show, because that to me is marriage, especially
00:21:41a long marriage.
00:21:42Yes.
00:21:42So many people, and this is really, I think, what's not important about comedy, but every
00:21:50month at least, if not every week, somebody either on social media or if I run into them
00:21:56says, your show was the one thing that our family could laugh together when my father
00:22:01was sick, and it was his favorite thing that's been going on for 30 years.
00:22:05And so, you know, it just feels like we're able to do that.
00:22:10That's beautiful.
00:22:13We needed to kick Ray's brother.
00:22:16Should we bring him out soon?
00:22:20Trouble in paradise?
00:22:29Why would you want to hear me complain about Ray?
00:22:35Perhaps we haven't met.
00:22:36I'm Robert Perot.
00:22:38Hey, hey.
00:22:39Hey, Robert.
00:22:41Everybody loves Ray.
00:22:42Surprise, it's an iguana.
00:22:45Make a look.
00:22:49There you go.
00:22:49Who is the man?
00:22:55I am the man.
00:22:56I need to say something.
00:22:58Mom!
00:22:59No wife, no children.
00:23:01Pathetic.
00:23:04Thanks for the kind words.
00:23:09Brad Garrett, everybody.
00:23:10I'll come around.
00:23:23I'll come around.
00:23:24I'll come around.
00:23:28Bella.
00:23:30Oh.
00:23:32Oh, boy.
00:23:38It is so great to meet you.
00:23:43Do you have any memories of coming in and meeting Ray?
00:23:46I remember auditioning when I read who Robert was.
00:23:51I just felt I knew this guy, you know?
00:23:53I was the youngest of three brothers growing up, and they were, you know, much more popular,
00:23:59and they had a lot more going for them, and I kind of felt like the kid that grew up under
00:24:04the sink, you know?
00:24:05So, when I read it, I kind of felt like I knew who Robert was, you know?
00:24:11Yes, Ray?
00:24:12Um, how could you...
00:24:14You have to raise your hand.
00:24:15It's your show.
00:24:15How could you fit under the sink?
00:24:22We would write lines, jokes, and sometimes we didn't need them.
00:24:28Why?
00:24:28Because when we would cut to a face, they already said it with their look, and it was better
00:24:34than anything we could write, and the king of this was Brad.
00:24:38Yes.
00:24:39That's very sweet.
00:24:39Just beautiful.
00:24:40Any, uh, lovely stories you have from, uh, your days on the show?
00:24:45Not really.
00:24:45No?
00:24:47Manny, you know what I think of a lot is the episode, She's the One, where, uh, the girl
00:24:53I was dating ate the fly.
00:24:55Oh, yes.
00:24:56And when you tried to tell me what you saw in the kitchen, that scene was so great, but
00:25:03there was a moment where you were...
00:25:06Yeah, I almost passed out.
00:25:07Tell me, you were screaming, or you had some type of...
00:25:10Well, I saw her eat the fly.
00:25:11Yeah.
00:25:12And then you come in, and you talk to Patty and say, I really think she's a
00:25:15she's the one.
00:25:16And I say, she's not the one, right?
00:25:18And, and I tell you she ate the fly, you don't believe me, and I tell the story, and
00:25:22again, all this pent up, and finally I end with, she took the fly, she put it in the...
00:25:26And then I scream it, she ate it!
00:25:28And I hyperventilate it, and if you look very closely, you see me go, ooh, ooh, because
00:25:33I almost, I felt like I was going to pass out.
00:25:36Who hyperventilates saying a line?
00:25:38Hey, you got him!
00:25:45Yeah, I guess I did.
00:25:46Wow, good hands.
00:25:48All right, um...
00:25:49Oh, it's okay, I got it.
00:25:50Okay, I'll be, I'll put this down.
00:25:51The fly that was flying around, Angela killed it.
00:26:16It fell on the table, she put it in a napkin, and then she ate it!
00:26:23Hey!
00:26:31Commitment!
00:26:35Brad, do you, do you, was that your favorite, or do you have a favorite?
00:26:38Boy, there's so many.
00:26:39I, I, I really loved Lucky Suit, where, where Robert, uh, has an interview to work with
00:26:46the FBI.
00:26:47So, as I was saying...
00:26:49Is this a joke?
00:26:51Excuse me?
00:26:52Dear FBI Agent Garfield, I'm writing to ask for your understanding, you have an interview
00:26:57this morning with my son, Robert Barone.
00:27:00Oh, Robby, you scared me!
00:27:26How did your interview go?
00:27:27Come here, let me tell you about it.
00:27:33Didn't it go well?
00:27:35Oh, it was going okay.
00:27:37And then Agent Garfield read me a letter about Crazy Robert and his Lucky Suit.
00:27:43Mom, what did you do?
00:27:44She faxed the FBI a letter about how she ruined my Lucky Suit.
00:27:48I wasn't sure it went through, it's the first time I ever used a fax machine.
00:27:53Marie, why don't you go into the kitchen, and Robert, how about you just stay here and
00:27:57maybe blink a few times?
00:28:04So, Mother's Day...
00:28:06This is a good story.
00:28:08After one of my shows, this guy came up to me after the show, and it was really amazing.
00:28:15He was a veteran, and I remember that Phil, you and Ray would always send the DVDs to our
00:28:25troops when the show was on the air, and he gave me his retirement challenge coin, and he served from
00:28:341999 to 2020, and he said, you guys really helped when we needed the humor more than anything, and it really kept us buoyant in what we were going through every day.
00:28:50And, yeah, yeah, it's an honor to be on this bus, and thanks for letting me on, even though I was a giant.
00:29:01There's more people coming out.
00:29:03We'll be right back, I guess.
00:29:04Yeah.
00:29:04This is something, huh?
00:29:22Yeah.
00:29:23Something.
00:29:25Something.
00:29:26It's all for me.
00:29:39It's all for me.
00:29:49Hi.
00:29:51Hi.
00:29:52Hi.
00:29:52Hi.
00:29:53Hi.
00:29:55Hi.
00:29:55And it still has the dent from where I picked Patty up and threw her into the thing.
00:30:03Very good.
00:30:05So there was someone else in that scene that I knew for a long time before we did the show.
00:30:10I saw her first in a play, and I thought she was really funny.
00:30:14And then I married that girl.
00:30:16I might not be the best person to help.
00:30:18I've spent the last ten years looking for an engagement ring.
00:30:22Oh, Robert, this is my friend Amy.
00:30:23We used to work at the PR firm together.
00:30:25Hi.
00:30:25Hi, Ray.
00:30:26Here we go.
00:30:27Oh, look, this one looks like a heart.
00:30:29Stop your crying and get off your pity pot, Nancy.
00:30:33Oh, God.
00:30:35I keep forgetting what a freak show this family is until somebody new comes in and looks at us like that.
00:30:45Wait.
00:30:50Did your mother come over and make things worse as usual?
00:30:55Here's Monica.
00:31:02Monica.
00:31:03Yes!
00:31:03Yes!
00:31:04Woo!
00:31:04Yes!
00:31:05Yeah!
00:31:06Yeah!
00:31:06Yes!
00:31:07Yeah!
00:31:07Thank you!
00:31:08Yeah!
00:31:09Wow!
00:31:09You want to hug me, friend?
00:31:11Boston!
00:31:12It's fun!
00:31:13But I'm a husband!
00:31:14I'm a husband!
00:31:14Oh, my darling.
00:31:21My darling.
00:31:23Oh.
00:31:23Oh, my God.
00:31:25Oh, my God.
00:31:26The laughs.
00:31:26The laughs.
00:31:28Hi, Monica.
00:31:30Hi.
00:31:30You can tell Monica brought a slightly different energy to the family, right?
00:31:34You know, just being here is so incredible, right?
00:31:37I can't believe how everyone did the set.
00:31:40Like, everybody backstage.
00:31:41And you guys being here, it's so overwhelming.
00:31:45It's unbelievable.
00:31:47Talk about, what about, because first you were recurring, right?
00:31:50Yes.
00:31:50Well, first I didn't even know I'd be recurring.
00:31:53Can I tell you a little something?
00:31:54Yes.
00:31:54I was pregnant with our daughter, Lily, and I didn't know it.
00:31:58I found out after.
00:32:00So that first, I didn't know that.
00:32:02Yes.
00:32:02And flash forward, too, she just got married.
00:32:05And she just got married, Liz.
00:32:06Oh, Lily, Lily got married.
00:32:08Yeah.
00:32:09Oh.
00:32:09We had a lot of babies on this show.
00:32:12A lot of babies.
00:32:13The moral is, this show made us horny.
00:32:17We were happy.
00:32:21When did you officially know you were a regular?
00:32:24It just started building and building and building.
00:32:26And the Robert and Amy, it really was, you know, I've had only a couple comedy partners
00:32:31in my life, but this one and that writing to this couple was so perfect, wasn't it?
00:32:37It was great.
00:32:38It was so fun.
00:32:39And it was to then be with, like, one of the greatest comic teams of all time, Ray and
00:32:46Debra.
00:32:46That's you guys.
00:32:48Yeah, you were brilliant.
00:32:50So it was really lucky.
00:32:51Do you have a favorite episode?
00:32:52Oh, yeah.
00:32:53All of them you mentioned.
00:32:54There's so many favorite episodes.
00:32:56The one that captures my heart is because my dear, beloved Georgia, who I was very close
00:33:01with the Georgia Angle, who played my mom, and it's Pat's secret.
00:33:06Oh.
00:33:07Hi.
00:33:09Is everything all right?
00:33:11Butt can't sleep?
00:33:14Yeah, me neither.
00:33:25Mind if I bum a ciggy?
00:33:29Robert was smoking.
00:33:30I wasn't.
00:33:31I wasn't.
00:33:32Smell him.
00:33:33Come here.
00:33:34Come here.
00:33:36Oh, my God.
00:33:38God.
00:33:40Do you know what he's been doing?
00:33:42Smell him.
00:33:45Smell him, not bad.
00:33:46It wasn't lying.
00:33:47It was more like she was just letting off steam so you don't let it out on the person you love.
00:33:53You know?
00:33:54Like Ray.
00:33:55He has to drive around the block a few times every night listening to the radio before he
00:33:59goes home to face Debra.
00:34:01Right.
00:34:02Right.
00:34:02Are you crazy?
00:34:07Are you crazy?
00:34:14crazy. When I'm angry at my cat, Miss Puss, sometimes I'll sneak up behind her and bark
00:34:22like a dog. I like to blow up fireworks. Cat! I thought since it wasn't a secret anymore.
00:34:44She was just in heaven, and she always talked to everyone about the writing on this show,
00:34:58working with Phil, for years and years and years after. So thank you for letting us do that. We're
00:35:04so lucky to work with these comedy legends that we idolized. We stand on the shoulders of the great
00:35:10people that came before us. Obviously, people have passed, and we've seen a lot of clips of our mom
00:35:16and dad on the show. But when we come back, we'll talk about them.
00:35:19So let's talk about the parents. For you and me, it's very personal because they were so based on
00:35:49our parents. Yeah, the mother was more you. I mean, the mother was definitely more you. And the dad
00:35:54was more you, maybe? I used to say, everything you saw Peter do, my father probably did in real life
00:36:01without pants on. But I remember just talking about Peter during the pilot episode. So now I'm a young
00:36:09guy who just got fired from news radio, and here I am again attempting a show, and I'm nervous. And
00:36:16Peter is the great Peter Boyle, this iconic movie guy. And he's an imposing figure. I didn't know
00:36:23then how sweet he really was. And I hadn't really had a conversation with Peter. And our paths were
00:36:29crossing. And I swear to God, it must have been right here. And he just stops me. And I haven't
00:36:34said anything to him. He just stops me. And I guess he could tell. He could tell that I was a little
00:36:38nervous. And he just looks and he goes, I remember the words. He just goes,
00:36:42it's just like water. Just let it flow. And then he leaves. And at that time, I'm like,
00:36:49what does that mean? And even though as an actor, I didn't know what exactly what that meant,
00:36:57but I do now. Just the gesture, the gesture of him reaching out to me.
00:37:02It's everything. Yeah. It's everything. Yeah.
00:37:05Beautiful. Anyway, go ahead. Talk about Doris.
00:37:10We saw a hundred ladies for the part. They all read with that fruit of the month scene.
00:37:17No one came close to Doris Roberts. No one. She was what was in my head and in my life.
00:37:25And, and was, was so beyond even. My, my real mother used to say, you know, it is a little
00:37:33exaggerated, but you never saw that with Doris because she was always spot on. She was always
00:37:42a hundred percent believable. Peter too. Again, I keep reiterating the same thing. We could be the
00:37:48best writers in the world. It wouldn't matter if we didn't have these people and Peter Boyle
00:37:55and Doris Roberts. Let me show you something. Let me show you something.
00:38:06Marie. Oh, well, okay. Oh, Frank, this is wonderful. You dumb bastard.
00:38:15What? Write it out. You put a stop to this now. All right, dad. All right. Well, let me ask you.
00:38:24She's in a bad mood. What? Two, three days tops. And before you know it, what used to be a bad mood
00:38:31now takes over and becomes her only mood. And then, well, then you become like me.
00:38:39When not a day goes by that I don't wish there was a comet screaming towards earth to bring me sweet
00:38:47relief. That's going to need another coat. Did you say that you like Amy more than Deborah?
00:39:05Deborah? I am not saying that I like Amy more than Deborah.
00:39:13I know. I know you're not saying it now. But did you say it ever?
00:39:26What if I told you that we have a tape of you saying it, Mom?
00:39:29Give me the tape.
00:39:39What we do in our bedroom is our own business. And I prefer not to be known as the whore of
00:39:43Lindbrook.
00:39:49We can move from Lindbrook.
00:39:50Can't you ever just be quiet?
00:39:57Don't you tell me to be quiet. I have a mind of my own, you know. I can contribute. I'm not just some
00:40:03trophy wife.
00:40:14You're a trophy wife?
00:40:15What contest in hell did I win?
00:40:22You still can't think of anything nice to say about me?
00:40:31How about I sleep on it?
00:40:36It's all jokes.
00:40:37Frank, what are you doing? No, no, no. I need that. Frank.
00:40:52Frank, I like you better without the crap on your face.
00:41:07I left my heart in San Francisco.
00:41:25Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. My wife thinks I'm in the bathroom.
00:41:27I think we all have special memories of each one of them, you know?
00:41:56Doris could drink everybody under the table. Champagne, that was her choice.
00:42:02Pretty good. Never stopped working, right?
00:42:04Never stopped working on hiatuses. Always working.
00:42:07Taking acting classes. And directing plays.
00:42:1090. Yes.
00:42:11And Peter was pretty much the opposite of that guy. He was kind of a renaissance man.
00:42:19Yes, he wasn't really like that character. Two things about him you may not know.
00:42:24He studied to be a monk? Yes? I asked him, what made you give it up?
00:42:28He said there weren't enough girls there.
00:42:31And best man at his wedding was John Lennon.
00:42:37Yeah, yeah.
00:42:38How about that? As a matter of fact, the girl he married is here tonight.
00:42:43Lorraine Boyle is sitting right up there.
00:42:45Lorraine, right up there.
00:42:46Well, you know, it's funny. I remember when Peter Boyle was cast and we were like so excited
00:43:00because we're going to be able to play every week with this legend.
00:43:04And Ray went, you know, I think it's so fitting that the guy who's playing your dad was young Frankenstein.
00:43:10Well, they became our parents in more ways than one on the show.
00:43:20Yes.
00:43:20To Doris and Peter.
00:43:22Yes.
00:43:22Yay!
00:43:23Cheers.
00:43:24Yes, cheers.
00:43:25Cheers.
00:43:26Bye.
00:43:28I love you.
00:43:30I love you.
00:43:31I love you.
00:43:32I love you.
00:43:33I love you.
00:43:34I love you.
00:43:35I love you.
00:43:36I love you.
00:43:37I love you.
00:43:38I love you.
00:43:39I love you.
00:43:40I love you.
00:43:41I love you.
00:43:42I love you.
00:43:43I love you.
00:43:44I love you.
00:43:45I love you.
00:43:46Hey.
00:43:47Good?
00:43:48Yeah.
00:43:49Yeah, good.
00:43:50Even better the second time now that my tongue's not scared.
00:43:55Everything happened over food.
00:43:56There was so much food on the show.
00:43:58And it just sort of taught you that like lessons are learned and arguments are made.
00:44:03When you're sitting down to eat, you learn a lot about each other.
00:44:07You should ask Debra how she makes this.
00:44:09Oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:44:10Oh.
00:44:11Oh.
00:44:13I should ask Debra.
00:44:15I should ask Debra.
00:44:16Give me that.
00:44:18Oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:44:28Oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah.
00:44:30Food is, you know, it's family.
00:44:33Gathering around the table, just like love.
00:44:36You better not have started that cake.
00:44:39That cake is for all of us.
00:44:41I'm coming over.
00:44:44Food is love, because food is bringing people together.
00:44:48And so, yeah, we hit it all the time.
00:44:50A man needs chicken.
00:44:54Food is everything, and that's because that's Phil's obsession.
00:44:57For Phil, food was the most important thing, and it's the great connector.
00:45:01We actually had a lot to eat on the plane.
00:45:04Adesso mangiate.
00:45:07So, off we go to Italy.
00:45:09And, of course, the character of Ray Barone is miserable.
00:45:11Ray, this is the Spanish steps.
00:45:14Where's the Spanish elevator?
00:45:16But I remember this one moment.
00:45:18Pizza.
00:45:19Oh, thank you.
00:45:21And that piece of pizza, when he put it in his mouth...
00:45:25Wow.
00:45:26It's okay?
00:45:26Ray has this epiphany about everything.
00:45:29This is like the best pizza I ever had, man.
00:45:31He realizes the great thing, which is his family, the culture, the people.
00:45:37All those things are actually truly beautiful, and he's been missing them the whole episode.
00:45:46Look, we're in the kitchen.
00:45:47Yeah.
00:45:48Food was a very important part of the show.
00:45:50I think Marie held sway over the entire family because she was a great cook.
00:45:55And, uh, who wasn't?
00:45:58Aw.
00:45:59But we should talk about our children.
00:46:03Daddy, daddy!
00:46:04Catch me!
00:46:06Ah!
00:46:09Yeah!
00:46:10Everybody say cavities.
00:46:12Cavities!
00:46:12Cavities!
00:46:14Mommy, that man's smoking.
00:46:17Narc.
00:46:18You look like you're doing pretty good here.
00:46:20You don't need my help, do you?
00:46:21Yes, I do.
00:46:22All right, don't worry.
00:46:23Daddy's here to help you.
00:46:26Can't make me!
00:46:27Look, I'm your father.
00:46:28You have to do what I say!
00:46:29Blah, can you!
00:46:31Blah!
00:46:32Blah!
00:46:33Come on, guys, we're not snorkeling, we're eating.
00:46:37Blah!
00:46:38Blah!
00:46:39I'm fine!
00:46:40I'm fine!
00:46:42We were just, uh...
00:46:44No, you know what?
00:46:50Madeline and Sullivan Sweetin, are you here?
00:46:54Yeah!
00:46:54Oh, my God!
00:47:00Oh, my God!
00:47:01Oh, my God!
00:47:02Oh, my God!
00:47:03Oh, my God!
00:47:04Oh, my God!
00:47:05Oh, my God!
00:47:06Oh, my God!
00:47:07Wow.
00:47:08Everybody's grown up now.
00:47:09They...
00:47:10They...
00:47:11In the blink of an eye, your kids grow up.
00:47:12Hi, you guys!
00:47:13Hi!
00:47:14Hi!
00:47:15So emotional!
00:47:16I really were!
00:47:17I know!
00:47:18Do you want to sit on my lap?
00:47:19What was it like to grow up here with us?
00:47:24With us maniacs?
00:47:25I mean, I don't know.
00:47:26I think it just felt like what we were supposed to do.
00:47:29I don't think we understood, right, how impactful the show was or how impactful what we were
00:47:35doing was.
00:47:36So, yeah, I would get upset that, you know, I couldn't be in the school play.
00:47:40Yeah, but looking back, you know, I wouldn't change anything about it.
00:47:43That's so great to hear.
00:47:44It's so good to see you guys.
00:47:46It really is.
00:47:47Tell us what you're doing now.
00:47:48I just had a baby.
00:47:49Yeah!
00:47:50Yay!
00:47:51Yay!
00:47:52Your grandparents!
00:47:53There you go!
00:47:54There you go!
00:47:55Yay!
00:47:56Yeah!
00:47:57I brought them here with me today.
00:47:58Oh!
00:47:59My husband are in the back.
00:48:00Oh, great.
00:48:01They're excited to meet you.
00:48:02You guys were always in a good mood.
00:48:05We had lots of candy.
00:48:07But you were also, I want to say, fantastic.
00:48:11We were on set with some of the most amazing comedic actors in the world.
00:48:16So it was, you know, we were learning from everybody how to do it.
00:48:20And that's the only reason that we were, you know, any good at it, I think.
00:48:23Yeah, and I definitely feel like I carried that experience through my whole life.
00:48:26You know, I try to bring that kind of comedy with me wherever I go.
00:48:30Do you have a favorite episode?
00:48:32You know, it's funny.
00:48:33I'm not in my favorite episode.
00:48:35Now as an adult, as I've been watching it back, I found there's so many more adult things
00:48:40that I didn't realize when I was a kid.
00:48:43And my favorite episode is Marie's statue.
00:48:46Oh!
00:48:47I give you this.
00:48:50Isn't it a bit too... ladylike?
00:49:04Great.
00:49:05See?
00:49:06Oh, now I do.
00:49:08It looks like something though.
00:49:09What does it look like?
00:49:13You can get close.
00:49:14You can even touch it.
00:49:15I'm fine.
00:49:16I gotta tell you, I don't know what the hell this is.
00:49:22But I love it.
00:49:25Hello?
00:49:26Raymond Barone?
00:49:27Mm-hmm?
00:49:28I'm Sister Anne.
00:49:29This is Sister Beth.
00:49:30We're here to pick up the sculpture.
00:49:36Forgive me, but is that not a sculpture of...
00:49:41What?!
00:49:42Oh my god, I'm a lesbian.
00:49:49But what happened to the sculpture?
00:49:58I think it was in Doris's backyard.
00:50:00Oh, yeah.
00:50:01I think her grandkids used it as a slide.
00:50:10That's wrong.
00:50:12Sullivan!
00:50:13You've got one.
00:50:14Oh, I've got...
00:50:15I've got plenty of good memories.
00:50:16You know, playing tag in the bleachers and...
00:50:18and, you know, the prop room.
00:50:20But I think I'm a sucker for a happy ending.
00:50:22And the final scene with everybody gathered around the table
00:50:24has got to be my favorite memory.
00:50:26Like we are now.
00:50:28Hey, what do you got there?
00:50:29French toast?
00:50:30No, no, no, no.
00:50:31Don't worry, I'll make something.
00:50:32Yay!
00:50:33All right, Uncle Robert told me you're big,
00:50:35and if you don't want to get eaten, move out of the way.
00:50:36Thank you, darling.
00:50:37This isn't some stuff.
00:50:39What do we have here?
00:50:40Have some food in the meantime.
00:50:42All right.
00:50:43Some of the grapes.
00:50:44Some of the grapes.
00:50:45Right.
00:50:46It's getting a little too crowded in here.
00:50:47Yeah, it is.
00:50:48You know what?
00:50:49We need a bigger table.
00:50:50Yes.
00:50:51All right.
00:50:52Who would like some chocolate chip pancakes?
00:50:54The philosophy of we need a bigger table is everything to me.
00:51:07You know, the family is a microcosm of your families, we hope,
00:51:12and of wherever you live and our country and the world.
00:51:16We need a bigger table.
00:51:18So that's the idea.
00:51:19That's why I wanted it to be the last thing.
00:51:27Can we mention also...
00:51:28Sawyer?
00:51:29Yes.
00:51:30Yeah.
00:51:31So Sawyer, of course, is no longer with us and we miss him.
00:51:34And he, just like you were, just this bright energy light.
00:51:38None of us really expected what happened.
00:51:41But, you know, I try to think about the good moments and often times that's here on the set.
00:51:47I just think it's so important, any conversation that we're having about Sawyer.
00:51:51We're very passionate in our family about suicide prevention.
00:51:54It is the second leading cause of death between the ages of 18 to 25.
00:51:59But 90% of people who seek treatment are cured.
00:52:03And so many of the messages that we get are people saying,
00:52:07I'm so grateful to have heard about your brother, he saved my life.
00:52:10Is there an organization that you work with on behalf of Sawyer where people could reach out to you?
00:52:16We work with the National Suicide Prevention Hotline.
00:52:19Okay.
00:52:20That's our main place.
00:52:21Okay.
00:52:22Yeah.
00:52:23But, you know, people can grab a Sawyer t-shirt.
00:52:26We do t-shirts every year and all of the proceeds go there.
00:52:29Great.
00:52:30Yeah.
00:52:41You're not getting off.
00:52:42Don't push me.
00:52:43Get off.
00:52:44I almost didn't know how lucky I was working with amazing actors.
00:52:59That allowed you then to take these big swings with physical comedy.
00:53:05And then the actors, just so gifted.
00:53:10Robin, let me tell you what they did, okay?
00:53:21Oh, I am tired, sweetness.
00:53:25Oh, yeah.
00:53:26Oh.
00:53:28Oh, baby, does that feel good?
00:53:32Oh, oh.
00:53:34Hmm.
00:53:35Come here.
00:53:46If Debra has to give him permission to make more decisions,
00:53:50and then it has to spectacularly end badly.
00:53:53Debra's going all nutty on me over here, but what else is new?
00:53:56That means Ray's got to, I don't know, like, set the kitchen off.
00:53:58The laugh inside the studio was like nothing I ever heard.
00:54:15Fire! Fire in the fire!
00:54:18The famous one was Patty dealing with that Thanksgiving turkey, and that was all her.
00:54:24Huh?
00:54:25Yeah.
00:54:26Debra is wrestling with a turkey that keeps falling, and you can write that on the page.
00:54:30It just looks like an action line.
00:54:32And then when Patty Heaton does it, you look at the writers around you and go, look how good we are.
00:54:48Okay, yes, ma'am.
00:54:51Hi, my question for you is, do you guys have a favorite line?
00:54:54And if so, can you reenact it for us now?
00:54:56Favorite line. One favorite line.
00:55:00I have one.
00:55:01Yes.
00:55:02What did you do?
00:55:13What did you do?
00:55:16Very well done.
00:55:18I have a favorite line.
00:55:20It wasn't, I didn't say it, but it was said to me, and it was from nobody on here.
00:55:25It was from a day character who was in a hospital bed, and I said something to her.
00:55:30I know it.
00:55:30And she looked at me and went, you tricky, tricky white boy.
00:55:39You want to get better, you got to take your pills.
00:55:45Oh, you tricky, tricky white boy.
00:55:47What has happened to you in real life since the show's ended that you thought to yourself, that would make a really great episode?
00:55:59Yeah.
00:56:00Our friend Lou Schneider, who's one of the great writers of the show, he tells a story about how he was on vacation with the family, and he dropped his keys down the elevator shaft, right in the crack of the elevator door.
00:56:16And he was freaking out, because it's the car keys, the house keys, everything.
00:56:20And he was really going nuts, and his wife said, this is great.
00:56:24Maybe you could use it on the show.
00:56:26You know, we already did the episode where Ray loses his ring in the thing.
00:56:33So, this is not good for the show.
00:56:35This is just something that happened.
00:56:37Hey guys, my question is actually for Brad Garrett, when Judy took you to the dance club.
00:56:46Yes.
00:56:46You have this amazing, iconic dance.
00:56:48I wanted to ask if we can recreate it right now and boogie down a little.
00:56:53Oh, you and him?
00:56:54What?
00:56:56You in for it?
00:56:57Come on, dad.
00:56:58Come on.
00:57:07Come on.
00:57:37When Raymond left for Hollywood, me and my brother Bobby decided to put a little note in his suitcase, because we were going to miss him, you know?
00:57:52And I didn't hear anything, and neither did my brother Robert, for nine years.
00:57:56I didn't know if he'd read it.
00:57:57And then the final show comes, and it was very, very dramatic and, you know, emotional.
00:58:06And in his speech, he says, I want to read something.
00:58:11This is a little note that my brother, both my brothers gave me when I went to Peefing, New York.
00:58:19I'm saying, oh my God, he saved it?
00:58:20They stuck this into my luggage.
00:58:24What I wrote to him was, I hope you remember this verse.
00:58:29What does it profit a man?
00:58:31He gains the whole world, but loses his soul.
00:58:35He had tears in his eyes, and he goes, I hope I did that, God.
00:58:41And it was very moving, and I think he did.
00:58:44I think God would be very happy with him.
00:58:51Thank you so much for being with us tonight.
00:58:54We're so thrilled to be with you.
00:58:55We owe everything to you guys.
00:58:57You know, when we started, it was a show about a family, four families, and after a little while, it was being made by a family.
00:59:04What you don't see are all the people that really made the show with us, some of whom we haven't seen since we went off the air.
00:59:13So if we could, let's bring most of them out.
00:59:17Yes, Kat!
00:59:24Thank you!
00:59:26I feel like that's a joke.
00:59:31Thank you!
00:59:38Thank you!
00:59:39Thank you!
00:59:43Now, one little more thing we want to share with the audience.
00:59:52It's kind of like a gag reel.
00:59:54So we want to share that with you and with everybody who made the show.
00:59:59Oh!
01:00:00What?
01:00:01What's wrong?
01:00:02What happened?
01:00:04You kicked me!
01:00:05Right in the garden of good and evil.
01:00:12Right in Geppetto's workshop.
01:00:15Right in Granny's apples.
01:00:17Right in the Hard Rock Cafe.
01:00:18You know where I had to go for this suit?
01:00:23Wherever it was, I'll bet it was dark.
01:00:35I'm just a simple man who tried to make a difference.
01:00:39I still put my pants on one leg at a time.
01:00:45Yeah, but you should stop when I reach your nipples.
01:00:46You know where I had to go for this suit?
01:00:59A little shop of horrors.
01:01:03Okay.
01:01:03Come on.
01:01:07Come on, man.
01:01:09Now, all that remains is the issue of we should be granted guardianship in the event that both
01:01:13of you die at the same time.
01:01:15Well, slow down.
01:01:16We're still trying to have an orgasm at the same time.
01:01:17You know where I had to go for this suit?
01:01:33Goldens?
01:01:35That's right.
01:01:41Hey, Marie, I knew you named them, but I didn't know you fed them.
01:01:47It's like I've entered a world where ladies want Ray.
01:01:52Bert.
01:01:52Ray Bert.
01:01:53Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:01:54Ray Bert.
01:01:54Ray Bert.
01:01:55You know what?
01:01:56With your penis and my money, we're unstoppable.
01:02:05You better have a lot of money.
01:02:09To be honest, Deborah, it's not a style I'd ever wear.
01:02:14Nice try, though.
01:02:15Put it on.
01:02:26Thank you, everybody.
01:02:28Want to say goodbye?
01:02:29I do.
01:02:29I want to say, I want to say to all of you and to all of you, I used to say this to Ray
01:02:37all the time, thanks for the good life, and we wish the same to all of you.
01:02:44Thank you, everybody.
01:02:45Thank you, everybody.
01:02:48Thank you, everybody.
01:02:51Yes.
01:02:56Yay!
01:02:57Love everybody, hung.
01:02:58Yay!
01:02:58Everybody, hello.
01:02:59Oh
