00:26And I'm Justin.
00:27Yeah, we've been married for almost nine years and together for almost 14 years.
00:31We're looking to move to the East Coast.
00:33We've been in Ontario for the last 10 years and we love it, but we just feel like that's
00:38really missing from our day-to-day life is being able to connect with nature.
00:42So that's sort of the driving force for us.
00:45We have a three-year-old son named Maverick.
00:46He is such a funny guy.
00:49He makes us laugh every single day.
00:51And an 11-year-old dog named Stevie.
00:53She's been quite the adventure dog in her 11 years of life.
00:56And when she was quite little, we bought a school bus, turned it into our own tiny home.
01:01And we converted that engine to run on vegetable oil and we traveled all over North America.
01:06Definitely smelled like french fries.
01:08Good chunk of the time.

01:11So Maverick, we've been taking him in the water since he was really little.
01:15So he's been introduced to it at a young age.
01:17We both love to surf, to paddle, whether that be paddleboarding, canoeing.
01:23We want somewhere that Maverick can be raised to really enjoy the water and that be part of his day-to-day life.
01:29And I think as humans, we have a natural draw to the water.
01:33And this is just something that's calling our hearts right now.
01:35We do have a pretty extensive wish list.
01:40Obviously, very close to the water, if not right on the water.
01:43We'd prefer at least three bedrooms, one bath.
01:47Whatever house we find needs to be able to make room for both of us to work from home and hopefully not kill each other.
01:53So we really like the kind of rustic feel.
01:57Rustic charm meets modern.
02:00Ideally, something with a more open floor plan.
02:02We don't like rooms to feel too closed off.
02:05Like to be able to see Maverick when he's playing, when I'm cooking in the kitchen.
02:08Ideally, there'd be a place to store all our toys and a little place to do projects.
02:14Some other separate living space where we can have friends and family come stay with us.
02:20I think for me, the property is more important than the actual house.
02:24You can fix the house, you can upgrade, you can do all kinds of things.
02:27But you can't really change the property.
02:29Our budget is about $800,000 for our new home.
02:33So for some time now, we've both been saying a change is coming.

02:39We've built a really nice life for ourselves in Ontario over the last 10 years.
02:44So it really needs to be somewhere special.
02:46I think we've honed in on the area that we want to focus our search on, and that's the eastern shore.
02:53It seems like it's got a pretty good price point, but you're still close to the city.
02:57And there's some really, really beautiful beaches along this part of Nova Scotia.

20:16So, we were definitely willing to sacrifice a little when it came to space and usable rooms,
20:22considering how the property works for our family and our new way of life.

20:30Literally, when we wake up, we have deer looking in, watching us sleep.
20:33In the first two weeks of being here, we had bobcat right in our backyard, foxes almost on the daily.
