00:40We started going out together and have been together ever since.

00:47Our son, Damon, and then our daughter came along about seven years later,
00:51and her name is Tiana.
00:53And then our granddaughter, Harlow, who is 10 years old this year.
00:57Our dog's name is Fallon, and he's absolutely attached to me.

01:04It's only a dog.
01:05I walk Fallon every morning.
01:07To have a beautiful place to walk along the ocean would just be amazing rather than walking him on city streets.
01:12We've been living in the Okanagan Valley on the west coast for 30 years.
01:17We have chosen the east coast because my daughter fell in love with the east coast.
01:23And they were coming.
01:25And if they were going, then they weren't going to take my granddaughter away from me.
01:29So we then decided that we would come out to the east coast.
01:32It's family.
01:33It's all about family.
01:34The wish list for the new house is, of course, Oceanfront.
01:39We'll take Ocean View if that's the right house.
01:42We just need a two bedroom house and one bath.
01:45We don't need anything more.
01:46When I walk into a house, I look at the kitchen.
01:49I cooked professionally for many years.
01:51So a kitchen to me is more important than the size of my master bedroom.
01:55I'm a computer geek and an online guy, so I need office space.
01:59I might have a propensity to buy too many clothes.
02:03I need a walk-in closet.
02:05So I either need a room that can be turned into one or it comes with one.
02:09We could get a three bedroom house.
02:12We don't have to turn one of the bedrooms into a walk-in closet.
02:15I want enough land to build a greenhouse, grow a garden, chickens, whatever, quail.
02:21I haven't quite decided yet.
02:23I like houses with character.
02:25I like old houses.
02:27The budget is $350,000, but we can stretch it up to about $4,000 if it gives us everything we want.
02:35I prefer to keep it at about $350,000, so we have a buffer to do things to the property or to the house.

19:50We picked this house because of the yard, because of the ocean.
19:54All you have to do is just stand on the porch and you get ocean breeze, you get ocean smell.

20:01Well, we've been here for a bit and everything's unpacked.
20:03Everything fit where we want it and it feels like home now.
20:07With the extra money, we put it into a dome greenhouse.
20:11And I've got my hands back in the dirt.
20:15I did get my dream walk-in closet.
20:18We ended up with an unutilized storage space that Michael turned into a wonderful walk-in closet for me.
20:25And I'm truly pleased with it.
20:27The chickens and the quail, the chickens are a ways off.
20:32Because I have to yet build the chicken coop.
20:35That's my next project.
20:38Fallon's loving it.
20:39There's every day we get to go walk along the sea.
20:41It's kind of cool for me to be able to take my granddaughter to school, take her to the library and do all those kinds of things.
20:47The best thing about this entire decision is the acceptance that we got when we moved here.
20:53We're part of the community without even really asking and it feels like home almost immediately.
