Emmy-winning drag personality Lushious Massacr is galvanizing LGBTQ+ audiences online one post at a time. With Dragvestigations, a satirical YouTube series in which she rates businesses on just how plus-size- and drag queen-friendly they are, she has managed to make a name for herself independently, without the support of launchpads like RuPaul’s Drag Race.

00:00I really hope whoever has the next breakthrough moment is a complete and total BRICK!
00:07Hi everyone, I'm Luscious Massacre and today, oh my god, I'm part of the InStyle breakthrough list!
00:13Honey, the girls can't take it!
00:15My first job was at the movie theater, darling. I worked for Cinemark.
00:19Oh, it was so fabulous. Sometimes I still have dreams about it.
00:23My favorite red carpet look has to be Zendaya.
00:26Oh my god, anything that Zendaya wears to me, oh, she always kills it.
00:30It's so sickening.
00:31And also one of my best friends, Ernesto Casillas, he's a Mexican makeup artist.
00:36He does all of her makeup.
00:38That's why Zendaya always looks so delicious, honey.
00:41I think it really comes down to just being like an attention whore.
00:45I think as a child, I probably, they didn't pay enough attention to me.
00:49They didn't love me enough. They didn't care enough about me.
00:52So almost like as a form of revenge, I was like, I'm going to become a star.
00:56Luckily, I've been having success with my YouTube show, Dragvestigations,
01:00and I've just been out there living my dreams.
01:03Whenever I have access to magical things, I just want to share it.
