Women of West Yorkshire Network passes 1,000-member milestone

The regional network launched by the mayor is expanding its influence, with members set to help shape future equality and inclusion policy.

00:00A regional network supporting women's voices and careers has passed a major milestone in West Yorkshire.

00:08The Women of West Yorkshire Network has now grown to more than 1,000 members.

00:14The group was launched in October 2023 by Mayor Tracey Brabin and Inclusivity Champion Fatima Khan Shah.

00:23It aims to connect women and allies and help influence regional decision-making.

00:28Members come from a wide range of backgrounds, including business, academia, charities and community leadership.

00:36Members are expected to help shape the West Yorkshire Combined Authority's equality, diversity and inclusion strategy.
