00:00All right, futures mixed ahead of Wednesday's open here. S&P futures down 0.07%. It is worth
00:13noting that these are actually up off of the morning or overnight lows. So it looks like
00:18the current trajectory is up, basically traded up to the intraday VWAP there, but it is down 0.07%.
00:25Dow futures are higher. They're higher by 0.07%. So the Dow, the inverse there, if you will,
00:31of SPY. And then NASDAQ here leads the way down, down 0.23% ahead of Wednesday's open.
00:38Now, let's go ahead and take a look at some cues from last session, figure out what's going on here.
00:44Materials, healthcare, and industrial stocks posted the strongest gains on the S&P 500 on Tuesday,
00:50though the energy and communication services sectors bucked the trend to close lower.
00:55Investors are bracing for a heavy slate of economic releases, including the ADP employment
01:02report and the ISM services index on Wednesday. So finally, we're going to get some data here today.
01:07This follows the momentum that drove the Dow Jones roughly 1% higher to fresh record peaks
01:12during Tuesday's rotation into blue chip names. And indeed, when we covered the SPY,
01:16we did set a new all-time high there. We'll take a look at the SPY chart here shortly.
01:20Meanwhile, the 10-year treasury bond yielded 4.15%, and the two-year bond was at 3.46%.
01:27Now, we do have some stocks in focus here today. The first one is going to be AAR Corporation. This
01:33is ticker AIR. That was 5.07% higher after posting better than expected results for the second quarter
01:40and issued a strong sales forecast for the current quarter. The company said it sees third quarter
01:46sales between $813.84 million to $827.404 million versus market estimates of $793 million. So a nice
01:56little guide there. The next stock on our list is going to be Penguin Solutions. This is ticker P-E-N-G.
02:03Those shares rose 4.41% in the pre-market on Wednesday after reporting better than expected
02:10first quarter financial results. The next stock on our list here was already hinted at one of our
02:16viewers here, EKS. This is going to be Mobileye. Ticker on this is M-B-L-Y. Mobileye jumped 11%
02:23after it entered a definitive agreement to acquire AI-first humanoid robotics company,
02:28Mentee Robotics, for about $900 million, aiming to combine its autonomous driving technologies with
02:35Mentee's robotic platform to lead the physical AI market. We've talked about robots being a theme.
02:41It looks like that continues here and dovetails with the AI theme that we're also watching.
02:48The next stock on our list here, congrats if you already had this because what a move this thing
02:52made. This is going to be Ventix Biosciences and the ticker here is VTYX. It advanced 67.67%
03:01following reports that the Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly is in advanced talks to acquire the company
03:07for more than a billion dollars. The interesting thing here is it seems like this is VTYX,
03:16seems like VKTX left at the altar again. I know there was a lot of talk about that being acquired.
03:22We just haven't seen it. Now VTYX being acquired by Eli Lilly. The last stock on our list here is
03:29going to be Constellation Brands. This is ticker STZ. Shares were half a percent higher as analysts
03:35expected to post quarterly earnings at $264 per share on revenue of $2.16 billion after the closing
03:41bell. One of the other things about Constellation Brands, we view this as a consumer staple.
03:47A lot of times we kind of make an inference on what the market is doing or where it might go next,
03:52based on how some of these stocks are reporting. So we'll see how they do with their earnings report
03:56later today.
