Harbaugh let go?! After 18 seasons, and one big missed FG, Baltimore is moving on from John Harbaugh. Right move? Where will Harbaugh end up? Could Lamar Jackson be on move next?
Transcript
00:00The Baltimore Ravens fired John Harbaugh yesterday.
00:06I did not see that one coming.
00:08Well, we talked about it a lot on the show yesterday, a little bit on the show Monday,
00:13and then I would agree with you.
00:15I didn't...
00:16You kind of called this.
00:18Right, right.
00:18Because John Harbaugh clearly leaked stuff to get the organization to have his back.
00:24Lamar Jackson and John Harbaugh had a falling out,
00:27and he tried to play the last card in the deck.
00:30And it's so amazing.
00:32One field goal changes the entire futures of two of the biggest NFL teams in the country
00:38where you have a missed field goal, Tomlin empowered, he stays in Pittsburgh,
00:43John Harbaugh fired.
00:44It's unbelievable to see what that meant.
00:46So he makes that field goal, then there's no way that John Harbaugh is out of work.
00:52Well, obviously they would have moved on,
00:54but there's no way Harbaugh is out of work in your mind.
00:57They were going to...
00:58I don't know.
00:59You can't tell when you read the stuff whether or not it was an issue that Lamar had with him
01:04or his insistence on keeping the offensive coordinator,
01:09who Lamar Jackson apparently couldn't stand.
01:11I'm kind of with Curtis on this.
01:13I think if they get bounced, if they don't win the Super Bowl this year,
01:15I think there's still a conversation about John Harbaugh getting fired postseason
01:19because I think that it's an issue between he and Lamar,
01:23and Baltimore decided we're going to stick with Lamar
01:25and we're going to say goodbye to the coach.
01:26I think that that's the reason, and I'm with Curtis,
01:29and I think that John Harbaugh leaked that story
01:31and that the organization talked to Lamar.
01:34Lamar said, get him out of here.
01:35I feel like both of him and Tomlin, right?
01:38Aren't they the coaches that are at the point now in their careers
01:42where it's like, you know, take it ish or get off the pot here?
01:47What are we doing?
01:48You know, with Pittsburgh...
01:49I mean, in both of their cases, they have both won a Super Bowl.
01:55But that was so long ago.
01:56How long can you...
01:58You know, we did it here a long time.
02:00I mean, to be fair, Wiggy, you talk about yours and it was 25 years ago.
02:02No, no, no, no, no.
02:03But I'm talking about, you know, the organization, right?
02:06You know, they won a Super Bowl in 2018.
02:10The Baltimore Ravens and both the Pittsburgh Steelers,
02:14Courtney's favorite team, it's been so long for them
02:17to have getting back to that point of like,
02:21all right, are they a real Super Bowl contender?
02:25They are very good in the regular season.
02:28Pittsburgh, we know, hasn't won a playoff game in, what, 10 years.
02:31Baltimore is one of those teams that they haven't been able to get past.
02:35It's the Danny Ainge thing that we had here.
02:38You won a championship, but when are you going to get back and win you another one?
02:42Okay, but the issues that they have had when it comes to moving on of late,
02:47are those on John Harbaugh or are they on the players?
