00:00We have news coming in from Delhi. This is related to the JNU's slogan area and it seems now the JNU administration has taken a serious cognizance of that matter.
00:11The videos that are circulating right now and the JNU administration has said a group of students from JNU Students Union had raised highly objectionable and provocative and inflammatory slogans.
00:24The competent authority has taken serious note of the incident and security branch has been asked to cooperate with the police in the investigation.

00:42Shreya, what kind of action is being taken against these alleged inflammatory slogans?

01:06But remember, the security department of the JNU has asked for an FIR to be registered.
01:13The JNU itself has given out a statement saying that the slogans that were raised were not correct and they could create a disharmony in the campus itself.
01:29And now they are saying that they have asked the security department to cooperate with the police in the investigation.
01:36Now, the JNU admin wants that the Delhi police should take some sort of an action like an FIR in this matter.
01:45Joining us is Shreya Chatterjee. Shreya, do tell us what kind of action does the administration expect?
01:54Well, the administration has already filed a complaint, Anjali, in this matter.
01:58There's an official complaint from the security branch of JNU to the Delhi police.
02:02They've highlighted the students who were also present during the entire sloganeering incident.
02:07There was a protest call that was given by JNU, which is the student union of Jawala Nehru University.
02:13And the president, apart from other student bearers of JNU, were present.
02:18And their names have also been mentioned by the security branch.
02:21Just after this action, we see that official cognizance has come in from the JNU administration as well.
02:26Very categorically, they're saying that this kind of inflammatory slogans is something that will not be tolerated within the campus.
02:33Raising of such slogans is wholly inconsistent with democratic dissent and violates the code of JNU.
02:39And, you know, in future as well, students have been asked to desist from indulging in such kind of unwarranted activities.
02:45So, this is a very strong worded letter that's coming from the registrar of the Jawala Nehru University just after an official complaint has also been marked to the Delhi police against the JNU wing about their entire sloganeering that has taken place yesterday at 9pm, the protest that was called at Gorilla Dhabba.
