00:00G.H.C. Nationwide
00:30The following contest is a singles match set for 1-4 and it is for the G.H.C. National Championship
00:48Not at the new year 2026
01:00This is for the G.H.C. National Championship title
01:04The challenger making the walk through the ring first
01:07The brother, the partner, the man who knows the champion Dragonbane better than anyone
01:13No mysteries, no surprises, only pride and ambition
01:18Absolutely, and I love the pageantry, the presentation
01:21So much part of it, the Lucha Libre style that they come from
01:25Alpha now, Chandra, Los Coriores
01:28Alpha!
01:30Alpha!
01:31Alpha!
01:32One half of Los Coriores, the challenger
01:35Alpha Wolf
01:37Brothers in arms about to become brothers in combat
01:43A ferocious man
01:49With an undying appetite
01:54I'm introducing his opponent, fighting out of the Red Corner,
02:21the reigning and defending THC National Champion, Duran Bader.
02:33The high octane champion stepping into his most emotional defence ever.
02:40The title round his way, but history and DNA standing across from him.
02:45One of the most spectacular high flyers in the world,
02:48the champion, set to confront his brother in his first title defence.
02:57The other half of Los Copiadores reigning and defending THC National Champion, Dragonbane.
03:06From Mexico to the world.
03:08Los Copiadores have been the most exciting junior tag team in Japan, but tonight their opponents.
03:17Dragonbane is the 18th generation champion to hold this illustrious red belt, making his first title defence here today since beating Galeno for that belt.
03:31And what a match-up that was. A huge accomplishment in itself to topple the great Galeno.
03:38Completely different type of challenge today.
03:40This is something else though, Mark. Real life brothers and long time tag team partners.
03:45Yep. They've dreamed about sharing a stage like this together all of their lives.
03:49Best friends, former champions together here in Japan.
03:52And now that the bell has sounded, all of that's removed.
03:55High profile, high stakes singles clash for the coveted Red Crown.
03:59Countless shared battles, shared victories and shared scars.
04:04Now we're already getting chants of Lucha bringing out throughout the Budokan.
04:09Oh, they love it.
04:10Everyone has this match in particular circled on their program, I can tell you.
04:15It's great to have their family in attendance as well today, including their father who wrestles as El Golpeador,
04:22which is where the Golpeador is tag team name comes from.
04:27Fighting for something they've never competed over before.
04:30Singles goal.
04:31Yep, absolutely.
04:32They faced off in Japan before.
04:34Dragonbane holds the advantage in the head-to-head series.
04:366-3 with two draws.
04:40Stylistically, there's very little to settle.
04:45Yeah, yeah, between them, I mean, you've got the champion, Dragonbane.
04:49He's got the speed, the aerial creativity, and Alpha Wolf, he's got the power, the control, and the counters.
04:59Dragonbane has the edge with momentum as champion, but Alpha Wolf has the edge because he has deep, deep familiarity with his brother.
05:10He brings the aggression, doesn't he, the challenger.
05:12He's got that hunger.
05:15Over the top there.
05:17Lands on his feet.
05:18Lands on his feet again.
05:22Spooked away this time.
05:24They just know each other so well.
05:27Both looking for the big moves at the same time here.
05:33Brotherhood tested by ambition here today.
05:37Can you truly surprise someone who helped build your game?
05:44Absolutely.
05:45They wouldn't be where they are today without each other.
05:47This is like Morpheus fighting Neo.
05:50There's no bad blood here today.
05:52There's no bad blood here today.
05:53This is respect and violence holding hands in the same ring.
05:59And there's the shake.
06:03Oh!
06:04We speculated about this.
06:05He's gone for it.
06:06He is biting his brother.
06:07Here we get to see his hunger and his appetite.
06:10To walk away with JG national goal today.
06:16Just got the feeling at once we're going to come off at some point here.
06:20There's too much on the line.
06:24Now, we've gone from the technical exchanges.
06:26We are now into raw physicality, teeth and hunger.
06:32And this is where the challenger is just so threatening.
06:34He could pull away from the champion Dragon Bane here.
06:41A bit more size.
06:42A bit more power perhaps.
06:43Alpha Wolf, Virginia, heavyweight, heavyweight.
06:49Target in the left leg of Bane.
06:55I don't think you like the taste of him after all.
07:00Back up to a cortical base.
07:02Alpha Wolf sets him in the corner.
07:05Razor blade chop.
07:12Irish whip countered.
07:14Gets the super kick up.
07:16Pops onto the apron.
07:18Exchanges over the top rope now.
07:20Oh!
07:21Kicks him in the face.
07:23Oh, straight in there with the swan-ton bomb.
07:27Run!
07:28To steal the belt early.
07:29No, says Dragon Bane.
07:30Incredibly, incredibly graceful.
07:33Watch out here!
07:34Oh!
07:35Plancha!
07:37Wow!
07:38How awesome does Alpha Wolf's mask look like today?
07:44So intimidating, isn't he?
07:48Diamond studded.
07:52Incredible maneuvers from Alpha Wolf right there to take his brother out.
07:56They haven't even gotten warmed up yet.
08:00They have held the GHC junior heavyweight tag team title twice in their career.
08:06The first was September 2023 through to January 2024.
08:122024.
08:13Second reign was May of last year to October at Ryogoku.
08:22Wolf just said, come on, brother.
08:23It's the championship!
08:24It's the championship!
08:25It's the championship!
08:26It's the championship!
08:27It's the championship!
08:28Let's go!
08:30You're going to hit me!
08:31And you're going to do it well!
08:33Let's go!
08:34Giving his brother a pep talk.
08:35Yeah, he says let's go.
08:36Let's do it.
08:37The belt's on the line.
08:38Let's let us raise the roof here at the Nippon Budokan.
08:41No.
08:42Let's do it!
08:43No!
08:44No!
08:45No!
08:46No!
08:47No!
08:48Oh!
08:49Who's there!
08:50The knee!
08:51And the headbutt.
08:54And he comes!
08:55Flags it!
08:56Clean!
08:57Just went 0-100.
08:58Look how it comes.
09:01Incoming!
09:02Oh, Sopika Hero from the champion!
09:09Brace yourselves!
09:10this is what the challenger alpha wolf wanted be careful what you wish for
09:15yeah we were worried about that one earlier on
09:18two heat-seeking missiles these two but let's be honest though that was tame compared to what we've
09:24seen from them in the past oh there's plenty more i think they've got in the tank here
09:29a golpeador right in front of us
09:31on the outside here now sends him over the apron back in
09:37dragon bane poised on the apron over the top flies in with the elbow
09:45laser-guided precision right there one two to take it
09:51that pep talk that alpha wolf gave to his brother has just changed everything in the course of this
09:56championship match yep i can just see it it's a sibling rivalry spilling over here
10:03in the corner stop with the boots and the chop from the champion sends him into the middle
10:14boom
10:20wow not too many can do it like that
10:24no wasted motion at all straight into the pinfall attempt from the champion
10:27now he's doing the talking
10:30it's gripping each other here
10:34usually there's no communication necessary between these two when they're teaming up
10:40they've got this level of telepathic understanding that's right you never hear them speak to each
10:44other
10:44oh that was close yeah oh they're both practically knocked out in the middle of the ring here
11:11alpha wolf just had the wherewithal there great instinct
11:15staring up into the lights of the budokan willing each other to go big or go home
11:28the cloud behind both champion and challenger much loved on board the arc are los copiadores
11:35looking for his finisher here can he land it but look at this look at this alpha wolf just
11:46collapsed challenger's in trouble isn't he he's in the spot i think that headbutt still rung his bell
11:53he's saying he can't do it he doesn't want to hurt his brother here
12:04oh the delay on it caught him
12:19that was thunderous one two to steal
12:24alpha wolf almost begging for the violence
12:29oh hold it and run like a clock can't he steal the belt here
12:35so damn loose in every single exchange between these two men
12:41moment of hesitancy from the champion that's all it took for alpha wolf to come into the ascendancy
12:46is that hesitancy going to cost him the title now
12:51yeah just a small amount of respect can cost the whole match
12:56one of these brothers is going to walk out of here
13:01one two
13:05come on where's flawless execution that came absolutely out of nowhere for the champion
13:11champion has the crowd behind him
13:17as he goes up to the rafters here at the Pombu Nukai
13:20dragonfly
13:22kick out with authority there
13:30European uppercut

13:49can he steal it
13:50oh still no
13:52merciless offense
13:56that running knee he has finished many men with before
14:00he's got him
14:06two
14:06the shoulders are down
14:14alpha will still survive
14:17it takes something unorthodox from these two to win this
14:20there's a second
14:22and from the back
14:26poison rana
14:27I believe he said sorry to his brother before executing that poison rana
14:31oh no

14:47that's championship material right there Mike
14:49spot on
14:50challenger shaking his head wondering what does he have to do to put his brother away
14:55you want to do as much as you can but there has to be limits when it comes to blood
15:01yeah
15:02what are those limits though we are seeing that question play out here today
15:09on the wall
15:11straight from the top
15:12he moves up with the legs up at the last moment
15:15such a werewolf
15:22from the champ here
15:24able to fold his brother back over
15:28dragon pain looking to finish things off
15:35up and down with the Santa Maria
15:39to retain no says his brother
15:43how graceful was that moonsault two seconds ago from the challenger as well
15:47phenomenal fantastic
15:49just two on that
15:51dragon pain back on the attack
15:55reaching deep into their respective arsenal
15:57unfortunately Yoshitatsu has appeared
16:05why has he appeared this has got nothing to do with him
16:10second time we've seen him and that's quite too many already
16:15and you know you know that dragon pain is not going to use this opportunity to damage his brother anymore
16:21but alpha wolf's back to his feet
16:23what's the meaning of this
16:25I just can't trust him
16:27he's got no business being here
16:29no
16:31that's a move straight out of Tadansky's rule book
16:34a low blow from wolf on his younger brother
16:38referee didn't see anything
16:40surely no
16:41surely no
