00:00A FIFA Peace Prize would have been better, but this is nice, too.
00:03And most of all, I want to thank our president, Donald Jennifer Trump,
00:09without whom we would be going home empty-handed tonight.
00:14So thank you, Mr. President, for all the many ridiculous things you do each and every day.
00:20It's been a banner couple of weeks, and we can't wait to get back on the air tomorrow night to talk about them.
00:26Thank you, everyone.
01:04well i think that there i think there will always be late night talk shows they may not happen late
01:33at night i think there are some shows that are called late night talk shows that are late night
01:37talk shows and still have the same format and maybe we need a different term for them but it seems to me
01:42it's one of the cheapest forms of broadcasting and it would be very surprising to me if it went
01:49away entirely i think like maybe it won't be as big maybe there won't be a big band welcoming the
01:55host of the stage maybe there won't be 15 writers but i think there will be some version of a late
02:01night talk show and in a way maybe it'll be better because maybe there will be more opportunities
02:07for more people of various backgrounds and ages and niche programming that i think could be a lot
02:15of fun to watch for one thing this one is real heavy and sharp and i could use this as a weapon
02:21in case one of these maniacs breaks into my home so that's good that's a plus i think
02:26um also i think that um it's um it's interesting it was almost a near-death experience for me and
02:35you know of course not literally but i did feel a little bit like uh tom sawyer and huck finn
02:41watching their own funeral when all this stuff happened and to be here and to um see that people
02:49reacted to it in a not just a positive way but in a almost a desperate way we're like oh boy when they
02:56come after the comedians this is when we draw the line and uh you know we're very grateful that
03:01they drew the line at us
