00:00spectacular lineup. Wow. Richie, look at these views. I don't think I've ever seen a view like this from a property.
00:08Sometimes that means veering miles off the beaten track. See, this is what I love about it. It's space.
00:15It's more than space, Neil. We're in anything here. The whole countryside is a stage.
00:24As we strive for the perfect score. Those hips don't lie.
00:28Oh, you know, Neil, it never leaves you.
00:47The foxes are trotting. The sheep are doing the lambada. Stick with me. Even the cows.
00:58I'll keep it in step. And that's because the countryside is moving and shaking.
01:04Oh, still got it. And one man who knows all about having a little boogie is strictly come dancing choreographer and professional dancer, Neil Jones.
01:13But after years of bopping along to the fast pace of cities, Neil and his family are ready for a change of tempo.
01:22Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
01:27Woo!
01:27World champion dancer and strictly professional, Neil Jones, and his fiancée, TV personality, China Mills, rent a house on the river in a Hertfordshire town with their daughter, Havana.
01:40Yay!
01:43Cha-cha-cha. Mum's going on the wrong foot, but it doesn't matter. Daddy can see that in the corner of his eye.
01:48How can you see?
01:50Cha-cha-cha. I can hear it as well in your feet.
01:53The story of how they met is a tale as old as, well, social media.
01:59So technically, I slid into her DMs.
02:02Yeah.
02:02Romantic, yeah.
02:03I didn't even know who you was.
02:05That's true.
02:06So I was like, oh, what are you doing now? And he says, oh, I'm currently on tour.
02:09I'm like, on tour?
02:10I mean, what?
02:11And he said, oh, I'm a professional dancer.
02:20That's what she said.
02:23As well as being a whiz on his feet, Neil has turned his hand to tattooing and also renovated his houseboat that the family lived on for six months.
02:33I created my own structure on here. I actually laid all the floorboards myself as well.
02:38And I think it all comes from when I was dancing when I was younger.
02:42We had to find ways of making money.
02:44So I used to do odd jobs.
02:46And because of those odd jobs, it kind of helped me pay for my dancing.
02:49And now it's all paying off later as well, because that's what I love to do.
02:53Creating a safe and comfortable place for his family is particularly pertinent for Neil.
02:59So just after I finished school, finished my GCSEs,
03:03basically I had enough money to pay for my dancing, but not enough money to pay for somewhere to live.
03:08So I was actually homeless for a period of time.
03:11I remember the first night I was kind of sleeping on the bench right outside the studio.
03:16And then I was like, oh, no, wait, what if I'm still asleep when someone comes in the morning?
03:21Like, what am I going to do?
03:22Because no one knew it, you know, and I was hiding it from everyone.
03:27Neil is now keen for any chance to build a home from the ground up.
03:31But the enthusiasm hasn't rubbed off on China.
03:35I can't be starting from scratch.
03:37OK.
03:37I need a wall.
03:39I need walls at least.
03:41I'm sure we can have walls.
03:42Does it need to have a roof?
03:44Yeah, yeah, at least a roof.
03:47Not forgetting wardrobe space for all those outfits.
03:50So there's my dance shoes.
03:52And actually, you can see typical Strictly, everyone gets to use everyone's.
03:56So it actually says Jake in there, because he's mostly used my shoes once in a while.
04:00I hear you, Neil.
04:02I'm actually wearing Jules's wellies.
04:04Footwear China wouldn't be caught dead in.
04:07If you just imagine a piece of glass, she likes to be on this side of nature, looking out at it, whereas I like to be in it.
04:14Yeah.
04:14So, yeah, I'll be in the mark.
04:15Looking at him through the window of a lovely scenery.
04:22I don't want to be in it.
04:24One thing they can agree on is their search area.
04:28She's a northern lass.
04:29She wants to be up in Yorkshire.
04:31And you love it now.
04:33I like Yorkshire.
04:33I think Yorkshire's great.
04:34So it will be a lot nicer, I think, also for Havana to grow up around family.
04:40I will really, really, really be happy for the unlimited babysitting for my mum if we live right next door.
04:48Not too close, because I don't want her to pop round for a cup of tea all the time.
04:51It's when you just said next door, was I...
04:53Neil and Chyna are after a three-bedroom detached family home, full of character, with space for entertaining,
05:03as well as plenty of storage for all those sparkly Strictly outfits.
05:07Neil is more than happy to take on a project.
05:11And for all this, they've got a budget of £650,000.
05:27I am loving Neil and Chyna's battle over the countryside dream.
05:32So we've got Neil, who wants to be immersed in nature, basically wants to get his hands dirty.
05:37And then we've got Chyna, who just wants to sit there in a comfy chair with a cuppa and just, well, look at it.
05:45So how's this going to work?
05:47Well, that's where we come in, because I need to find them a house where they can both find their groove amongst the greenery.
05:54Neil and Chyna want to move closer to her family, so we'll be focusing our search across the Yorkshire Dales in the counties of Cumbria and North Yorkshire.
06:05A detached house in North Yorkshire costs an average of £437,000.
06:11But hopping over the border into South Cumbria can bring generous savings, as the average is around £380,000.
06:21Yorkshire is often referred to as God's own country, which is justifiable when you see heavenly views like these.
06:31In addition to the scenery, the county has given us delicious treats like cheeses, tea and the eponymous puddings.
06:40Don't mind if I do.
06:41Before we take the plunge, we're meeting at Hardraw Force, England's largest above-ground single-drop waterfall.
06:55Now, I'm used to seeing you two on shiny dance floors or on red carpets, but the countryside looks so good on the both of you.
07:03This is a bit of me.
07:05If you found a house that was just up there and I could just abseil down every morning, that would be my dream.
07:11No windows.
07:12I want a project.
07:14I want, you know, I absolutely love being in nature.
07:18I think I should have been a barmer or something, honestly.
07:20His idea of rural is very rural and, yeah, like a barn with no windows.
07:29And what do you want from a property than China?
07:31I want somewhere that we can settle and have somewhere nice for Havana to grow up and call home.
07:39Because I don't feel like we've had that yet.
07:42No, we've moved a lot.
07:43I think we're maybe in, like, the fourth place that we've lived.
07:46Yeah.
07:46We've lived on a boat.
07:47We've lived on everything.
07:48I love this.
07:49So, I don't know if you're a big fan of Escape to the Country.
07:51I'll explain how the programme works.
07:53Richie, Richie.
07:54Oh, hang on.
07:54You don't need to explain to me how it works.
07:57I am a massive fan.
07:59I've even got a tattoo of my favourite presenter.
08:02Oh, Neil, you know I don't like a fuss.
08:04It's Jules.
08:05Yeah, of course.
08:06It's Jules.
08:07Listen, I hear you, because I also have a tattoo of my favourite escape to the Country presenter.
08:13Yeah, you might have to help me.
08:14No problem.
08:14Let me get that down.
08:18Oh, Nicky Chapman.
08:19Look at that.
08:21Matchy, matchy.
08:22Where's yours, China?
08:23Honestly, I couldn't pick.
08:25We've got some fabulous houses to see.
08:28And luckily for you, China, the first one is not up there.
08:31It's that way, my darling.
08:33Follow me.
08:33We'll follow you.
08:33We're putting our best foot forward and quick-stepping to the hamlet of Gawthrop in South Cumbria.
08:45The hamlet lies within Dentdale, one of the lesser-known but breathtakingly beautiful dales.
08:52The nearby village of Dent offers a couple of pubs, plus a family-run village shop.
08:58And while there's no ballroom, there is a tea room.
09:01Just a few miles along the valley is the house we've come to see.
09:07Feast your eyes on property number one.
09:11Oh, wow.
09:12Yeah, wow.
09:13I like this.
09:14I love it, to be honest.
09:15Do you?
09:16Yeah, and I've not even been inside.
09:17What is it about it that is calling out China?
09:20Look at me.
09:21Love me.
09:22It's the character.
09:24Yeah.
09:24It's the vibes.
09:26It's everything.
09:27It's got plenty of character from the outside.
09:29And the garden looks cute.
09:31I know this is a type of garden you would like.
09:33Yeah, because you would maintain it.
09:35I'm hoping there's more garden.
09:38Are you a gardener as well as a dancer then, Neil?
09:39I love a garden.
09:41I used to do gardening.
09:42That's how I used to pay for my dancing.
09:44What a catch, China.
09:45Honestly, it's an all-rounder.
09:46That's why I love him.
09:47Yeah.
09:48Right, shall we go into the inside of the house?
09:49Oh, please.
09:50And let's hope we can keep this energy going.
09:52Follow me.
09:52Now I'm scared.
09:53I'm scared, but I'm excited.
09:55There's nothing to be scared about China,
09:58as despite being over 200 years old,
10:00this Grade II listed farmhouse is finished
10:03with a fresh, modern interior,
10:06where Neil should feel right at home.
10:09Oh, I love this.
10:10How stunning is this living room?
10:13Oh, I love this.
10:14Yeah, this is a bit of me, this is.
10:15Yeah.
10:15Do you know what?
10:16I love...
10:17I love this.
10:19Right?
10:19Look at those.
10:20This is brilliant.
10:22Do you know what?
10:22It's just the right size.
10:24I'm into this.
10:25Yeah, 100%.
10:26Honestly, watching TV and then seeing that view,
10:29I could do this over there.
10:31It is.
10:31We like it when it's like that,
10:33when you can just look out the window
10:34and you just have views like this.
10:35And the ceiling's the right height.
10:37No, I'm happy that you're here
10:38so that we can test it out,
10:40because Neil's not tall enough.
10:41How tall are you, Neil?
10:43I'm 5'10", at a push,
10:44which technically means I'm 6 foot.
10:46I mean, I don't want to call you out, Neil,
10:47but I'm 5'11".
10:49So I'm not sure...
10:51Oh, no, he's on his tiptoe.
10:53Yeah.
10:53On his tiptoes with a Cuban heel.
10:56Right, I'll take you through to the next row.
10:57Follow me.
10:58It's gorgeous, isn't it?
10:58Why don't you stay here?
10:59It's crazy, crazy.
11:02And this is your kitchen diner.
11:05Oh, wow.
11:06I know.
11:06OK.
11:07I don't know what I was expecting.
11:09I think I was expecting
11:10more kitchen space.
11:15I love you, girl,
11:15but it's massive, isn't it?
11:16So imagine it's a Sunday,
11:19you put in a roast.
11:19You stand over here.
11:20How does it feel for you?
11:22Oh, yeah, I've got a little cake there.
11:24Are you big enough?
11:24No, I definitely...
11:26I don't know.
11:27I want bigger.
11:28Bigger?
11:29Yeah, yeah.
11:30I definitely want bigger, Neil.
11:33Because we have a lot of family that will be coming around for Christmas.
11:37Yeah.
11:38This is a visualisation.
11:39I need you to work with me on this.
11:40Mm-hmm.
11:41If you needed to, you could extend through.
11:43So you could still continue the kitchen into there instead of having a snug area.
11:47Very true.
11:48Like Neil said, you could be cooking over here.
11:50Your families are over there.
11:52Havana's running around.
11:53The music's on.
11:54You hear a beep.
11:56All the roast is done.
11:57I need to cut it up for everyone.
12:00No, she wouldn't.
12:01You'd hear the bleep and she'd say,
12:02Neil!
12:04That's what happened.
12:06This is perfect.
12:06Come on, Richie.
12:07Join in with me.
12:08Oh, okay.
12:08If you wanted to, like, just do a little bit of salsa.
12:11Ooh!
12:11Yeah, let the hips go.
12:12Is this the salsa?
12:12This is, yeah.
12:14This is, like, perfect.
12:14Ooh!
12:15You could...
12:15All of this you could be turning around.
12:17Oh, no.
12:17Oh, no.
12:18Yeah, I can't...
12:18Are you not doing it tonight?
12:19No, I'm not going to lie.
12:20You look so much better than me.
12:21Look at...
12:22Those hips don't lie.
12:23Oh, you know.
12:24Oh!
12:24It never leaves you.
12:26So, the kitchen space...
12:27You're loving it.
12:29Yeah.
12:30You need to kind of mull over it.
12:32Yeah.
12:32Shall we go and see another room and see if that works?
12:34Yes.
12:35Well, follow me.
12:36And let's hope it's big enough, eh?
12:39Let's follow me to the stairs.
12:41You've got a utility room through there.
12:43I'm sorry.
12:44What's the matter?
12:45You just knocked it.
12:47It's fine.
12:48So, this shows that it's a little bit low.
12:51Not for Havana.
12:52And that's what I'm thinking.
12:53And not for me.
12:53Look at me.
12:545'10".
12:55No problem.
12:55It's fine.
12:56You get loads in there.
12:57Yeah, but me and my high heels.
12:58Nah, you're not walking around in your high heels around the house.
13:01Okay, so some of the ceilings are in range for us strapping lads.
13:06But the upstairs vaulted landing is safe.
13:10There's a family bathroom and three bedrooms.
13:12One is being used as an office.
13:16And this is your beautiful, characterful main bedroom.
13:20With views for days.
13:23Okay.
13:23This is a good size.
13:24It's beautiful, isn't it?
13:25It is a good size.
13:26You don't think?
13:27No, it is a good size.
13:28I mean, height.
13:31I feel tall in here.
13:32This is brilliant.
13:32But listen, the character.
13:35Shall I hear?
13:35Yeah, I do love the character.
13:36And also, it's a bedroom.
13:37You want it to feel cosy.
13:39Yeah.
13:40I do like the vibes.
13:41I was hoping it was going to be an en suite.
13:44Mm.
13:44Your bathroom's just next door.
13:46Gets you around the house.
13:47That's true.
13:48Gets me walking.
13:49So we're sitting inside of the house.
13:50Shall we go and have a look outside and see if that works?
13:53Cos I'm thinking Havana.
13:54Is there enough room out there for her to be playing around?
13:56So there's more than the front garden?
13:57Oh, come on, Charlie.
13:58You've got to escape to the country.
14:00We don't mess about.
14:01And it's the celebrity version.
14:02Of course there's more.
14:03Ow.
14:08Come on, guys.
14:11Out we go.
14:12Nothing to see here.
14:13If you're more concerned for my welfare than Neil and Chyna,
14:19I'm pleased to say all that got hurt was my pride.
14:23The house is set in the stunning Dentdale Valley,
14:26so the outside land is surrounded by million-dollar views.
14:32And this is one of your garden spaces.
14:36So that's four I've counted.
14:38That's nice.
14:40So how much garden space would we have, then?
14:43Front garden.
14:43Yeah.
14:44A courtyard at the back.
14:45OK.
14:45Second garden with a shed.
14:47OK.
14:48Fancy another one.
14:48This one as well.
14:49This one as well.
14:50Oh, wow.
14:50OK.
14:51And look, you've got your very own Christmas tree.
14:53See, I don't know if I'm sold.
14:56I might need to sit down a minute, Neil.
14:58Hang on.
14:59I'm sorry.
15:00What exactly?
15:01I'm sorry to play devil's advocate.
15:03Is it that disgusting view or the lack of four garden spaces?
15:08But I don't like the idea of separate garden spaces.
15:11I mean, have you ever had gardens before?
15:14No, I've never had gardens.
15:16It's quite the thing to say.
15:17It is quite a thing to say.
15:19But I just don't feel like we need gardens.
15:23I feel like we need a lovely big garden.
15:25How much is this on the market for, China?
15:28I'd say £625.
15:32Ooh.
15:33I think this could be £660 or something.
15:37This is on the market, right at the ceiling of your budget.
15:41Bang on.
15:42£650,000.
15:44Oh, wow.
15:45No, it's a good price.
15:46It's good.
15:47It is.
15:48And this is one where we could literally...
15:50It is turnkey.
15:51Move straight in.
15:52Move straight in.
15:53Yeah.
15:54Still have to set out the kitchen before Christmas, but...
15:57Even China might have to agree.
16:01The only thing prettier than the cha-cha-charming farmhouse is its surroundings.
16:06It's a turnkey property with four gardens all being available bang on budget.
16:14Overall, I actually really love this house.
16:16I feel like the outside looks great.
16:19I love that there's separate gardens.
16:21This is nice.
16:22It is a stunning house.
16:24And it has elements of it, which I absolutely love.
16:28But it does have elements that I'm not so sure of.
16:31And I don't think it works for us.
16:36Honestly, this is some of the most mesmerising scenery I've ever driven through.
16:50I can totally see the appeal.
16:53I mean, guys, can we just have a moment...
16:55Yes, darling.
16:57...for this picturesque landscape.
16:59Imagine every day.
17:00Look at it.
17:01It's absolutely stunning, isn't it?
17:03So, Neil, you've been with a gorgeous Yorkshire last now.
17:06Is it over three years?
17:07Yes.
17:08Do you know any Yorkshire lingo?
17:11Do you know what?
17:12I don't really...
17:12I know, like...
17:13Here we go.
17:13Come on, China, teach him some.
17:15He has.
17:15He has.
17:16What are the basics, China?
17:17What do we need to know to get by in Yorkshire?
17:20Instead of no, you do no.
17:22No.
17:23No.
17:24No.
17:24Does Havana have any Yorkshire twang?
17:27She's got a little accent, and I'm loving it.
17:29I honestly want her to have a Yorkshire accent.
17:32Mom.
17:32Mom.
17:33Mom.
17:34Love that.
17:35Love that.
17:35Love that.
17:35Mom.
17:36Love me.
17:36Neil.
17:36No Neil.
17:37No Neil.
17:39China.
17:39I'm just going to say something.
17:40Go on.
17:40I don't think this is the road.
17:41OK.
17:43I think it was the next one.
17:44Is it the next one?
17:44Yeah.
17:45I think we'll maybe go down there and spin it around.
17:47So, whack it around to the right.
17:49Yeah.
17:49Whack it around.
17:50Stop it there.
17:51Keep it going back.
17:52Straight back.
17:52Or straight.
17:54Or straight.
17:54Sorry.
17:57You guys, I can't stop laughing.
17:59Our next house is only 20 minutes south, provided you don't take the wrong turn, in North Yorkshire
18:06and the village of Clapham.
18:08It's said by many to be one of the prettiest villages in the Dales and has an award-winning
18:14community shop supported by 40 volunteers, offering essential products and prescription delivery.
18:20On the outskirts of the village, near a hamlet called Wham, which I mentioned purely due to
18:28the name, our next property is about as remote as you can get.
18:35What I love about North Yorkshire is you don't have to work hard to find the views, guys.
18:40This is absolutely stunning.
18:42See, this is what I love about it.
18:44It's space.
18:45It's more than space, Neil.
18:47We're in anything here.
18:48Are you okay with this, being this remote?
18:52I am.
18:53Well, take a look at this absolutely stunning, packed with character, barn.
18:59Yeah.
19:00I like it.
19:01I see the potential there.
19:02It looks good.
19:03I'm not going to lie, it doesn't get better than this.
19:05I love, like, the trees and everything.
19:10Neil, I'm obsessed.
19:11You know, just, come on, get the checkbook out.
19:15There we go.
19:15That's done.
19:16We'll see you next time, guys.
19:17No, no, you must see the inside.
19:20You must see the inside.
19:21And the chickens are over there.
19:22I organise a little welcoming committee.
19:24Oh, I love it.
19:25And if you look in front of you, they are the three Yorkshiredale peaks.
19:29This is unbelievable.
19:30We could go for little hikes up there.
19:32Right, we've got that far, Neil.
19:34So, could we be going from ballroom to barnroom?
19:37Should we go and have a look inside?
19:38Please, let's do it.
19:39See, I'm bad with the dad jokes.
19:41Not too bad.
19:41That's quite good, actually.
19:42Yeah, you'll get that.
19:43You'll get that.
19:47This stone barn was originally the farmer's milking parlour, then converted to a dwelling
19:52in the late 90s, and inside, it's the cream of the crop.
19:57Look how stunning this kitchen is.
20:01Oh, my gosh.
20:02Yeah.
20:03I love this.
20:05I love this.
20:06Neil, your face is lighting up over there.
20:08Do you know what?
20:09It's like you've just had a ten.
20:10He's never had that.
20:13I haven't had many.
20:14Oh, whoa, whoa.
20:15I've had a ten.
20:16China.
20:16This is a special, I've had a ten.
20:18It doesn't count.
20:19Nowhere else.
20:22Who tends to do the washing up in the relationship?
20:25Mwah.
20:26We don't have a dishwasher, either.
20:27Can I show you something if you're doing your washing up?
20:29Yeah.
20:29Follow me, Neil.
20:30Oh.
20:31Have a look at that view by your sink.
20:33Oh, that is nice.
20:35Now there shouldn't be any dishes piled up, then, should there?
20:37That's very close.
20:38Do you want to have a look, China?
20:39Stunning.
20:39Come on, don't miss a home.
20:40Yeah, don't worry.
20:41You might start washing up.
20:43No, this is stunning.
20:47There's a good-sized lounge, whose decor nods to the property's former purpose.
20:54Oh, wow.
20:54Oh, I like this.
20:56I like this a lot.
20:57I do.
20:58Yeah, all the light coming in.
20:59Again.
21:01Fire.
21:01That's so important to me.
21:02You could just imagine if it was snowing outside as well, how beautiful it would be.
21:06Yeah, that would be snowing.
21:06You look at Christmas card, wouldn't it?
21:07Especially with Havana.
21:08She loves nature, like me.
21:10Mm-hmm.
21:10And just, like, when you're coming around, you're seeing sheep, you know, she will be
21:14going crazy.
21:15She's like, sheep, daddy, sheep!
21:16Yeah, she would.
21:17Yeah.
21:17She would see this house and just not want to leave.
21:19Yeah.
21:20It's cosy as well, depending on the furniture you put in.
21:22I feel like we could have more entertaining space.
21:27True.
21:27Because we are entertainers.
21:29But if you didn't have a dining table in here...
21:31Oh, yeah, we'd just sit with our dinners on our laps.
21:33It would be more space there.
21:35We could have a little dance around.
21:37Now we need a dining table.
21:40Well, listen, I'm not too concerned about you saying you want more space.
21:44I'm going to send you off now to have a look around.
21:46And I promise you, China, I pinky promise you, that as you go around, you're going to
21:51be surprised.
21:51I'm so excited.
21:52The upstairs surpasses their wish list and offers four bedrooms.
22:02Oh, wow.
22:03Oh, this is a good size.
22:04This is a good size.
22:06Let me see.
22:06En suite.
22:08Oh, yeah.
22:08En suite, shower, toilet.
22:10This is what I like.
22:12This is...
22:13Oh, oh, wait.
22:15I've got a creaky floorboard.
22:16You know how I get out of bed.
22:19You're asleep.
22:20This is me.
22:20I'm lying in bed.
22:21I get out.
22:24And you...
22:26Neil!
22:27And I'm like, sorry!
22:29But that can be sorted, Neil.
22:31Okay.
22:31I like the size.
22:32Yeah.
22:33I'm hoping that there's other rooms that could be my wardrobe space.
22:37Yeah.
22:39Your wish is my command.
22:42Okay, well, I think...
22:44Is this enough space?
22:45This could be your walking wardrobe.
22:46I definitely don't feel like the lighting space is the best in here.
22:49You mean...
22:50We have one small window.
22:52But, again, the wallpaper, it's quite...
22:55If we think about that, if it was lighter...
22:57I'm thinking about ripping the roof off, Neil.
22:59I'm thinking about starting again.
23:02Might be chilly in the winter, but the views will be great.
23:06Yes.
23:07In the back corner of the house is the last bedroom.
23:10It's used as a snug and forms a self-contained wing with its own staircase to a utility room
23:16below.
23:17It's a good second living room.
23:20Yeah.
23:21I wonder what's down there.
23:24Okay.
23:25Wow.
23:25I feel like this is a lot of wasted space.
23:28Yeah.
23:29Totally agree.
23:30Do you know what?
23:30You stay here.
23:32I'm going to look at the kitchen.
23:33And I'm just going to...
23:33Just wait.
23:35I'll be back.
23:35Up through the snug, then across the house and back down into the main kitchen is the other
23:42side of that wall.
23:44Okay, yeah.
23:44So what I'm seeing...
23:46Let me look.
23:49Oh, yeah.
23:50China?
23:51Yeah?
23:52Yeah.
23:53That's good, isn't it?
23:54Yeah.
23:54So what I'm thinking is it'd be really brilliant.
23:56We knock through that wall all the way across, take all of this out, so it's under the stairs.
24:02That way, this whole kitchen moves through.
24:05We can have a nice island there and then have a dining table.
24:10I've got the vision.
24:11I've got the plan.
24:12I think it's going to work out.
24:14You think?
24:15I think so.
24:17I think he's just getting carried away.
24:20Yeah.
24:21There's more to capture Neil's imagination in the garden, which wraps around the house.
24:29It's within the forest of Bolan National Landscape, and while the views are sprawling,
24:34the garden is enclosed, safe for children and pets.
24:38And it also comes with a soaking tub.
24:42Do you know what?
24:43It's a good size, because I know walking in, we've got the other side as well.
24:47You know, I've always wanted chickens, because then you get the fresh eggs.
24:50And I'm no joke, I go for about six eggs a day.
24:52Do you?
24:53Yeah.
24:53It's a nightmare.
24:54It's a nightmare.
24:56In one sitting?
24:57Yeah.
24:57Yeah.
24:58I just feel like I'm learning so much about it.
24:59You've got a budget of £650,000.
25:03How much do you think this is on the market for, China?
25:08£660,000.
25:09£660,000?
25:10Yeah.
25:10I think this one might be £550,000.
25:14Oh, £550,000.
25:15£550,000.
25:16I'm dreaming.
25:17You are dreaming, Neil.
25:18Well, we can dream, Neil.
25:20This is on the market for £600,000.
25:27Oh!
25:27So I'm the closest.
25:29And you're £50,000 under budget.
25:31That's the main headline here.
25:32Yeah.
25:34There's that champion-winning mentality.
25:37Well under budget, this former milking parlour offers four bedrooms, plus generous downstairs
25:43living that could be reconfigured.
25:46And it's all surrounded by endless views.
25:48As our first day's house hunting draws to a close.
25:57What better way to see how much they know about the county than with everyone's favourite savoury pudding-based game?
26:05Yorkie or porky?
26:10Copyright Richie Anderson.
26:11I'm about to read out five facts about this wonderful county.
26:18And you need to tell me whether it's a Yorkie, the truth, by holding up your Yorkshire pudding, or a big, fat porky pie, which is Cockney slang for?
26:28It's a lie!
26:29Isn't this game going to be super fun?
26:31Yorkie or porky?
26:32Oh, this is going to be great.
26:33It's a Yorkie.
26:34It's going to be true.
26:35It's going to be fun.
26:35Yeah, it is.
26:36Thank you very much.
26:36I think I'm getting it now.
26:37Thank you, Neil.
26:38Yorkshire is home to the highest pub in Britain.
26:43Yorkie or porky?
26:44Highest pub.
26:45I'm going to say Yorkie.
26:46Yeah.
26:46I can confirm that it is a Yorkie.
26:49Yay!
26:50One point.
26:50It's, yes, the Tannhill in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
26:54It's the highest pub in the UK.
26:56The Yorkshire Terrier is the UK's most popular dog breed.
27:01Yorkie or porky?
27:03I'm going to say porky.
27:05I'm going to say Yorkie.
27:05It's a porky.
27:07Neil is 2-1 up.
27:09However, however, don't get too cocky.
27:11Up until the 1990s, the Yorkshire Terrier was the most popular dog breed in the UK.
27:16But the 90s saw the rise of the Labrador and the Retriever, who both took the top spot.
27:21I knew it.
27:22The world's first ever football club is from Yorkshire.
27:25True.
27:26Why are you following me?
27:27Because you watch football.
27:28Go on, be your own woman.
27:30Don't do it.
27:30Go against him.
27:32Oh, don't listen to me.
27:34It's a Yorkie.
27:35Honestly, China.
27:37You set me off.
27:38Sheffield FC, founded in 1857, officially the world's first football club.
27:44You could go watch Sheffield FC.
27:46I don't want to now.
27:48No offense, Sheffield FC.
27:49Question number four.
27:51In London 2012 at the Olympics, if Yorkshire had competed as its own nation, it would have
27:57finished 20th in the medal table.
28:00Yorkie or Porky?
28:0120th is quite bad.
28:03Are you sure, Neil?
28:03Yeah, I'm sure.
28:04I mean, to keep the game interesting, if you got this wrong...
28:08All right.
28:09Oh, Neil, what do you like?
28:11It's a Porky.
28:12You got it right, China.
28:13Well done.
28:14Athletes from Yorkshire actually did so well that they finished 12th.
28:18This county alone beat the likes of Spain, Canada and South Africa for gold medals.
28:24It's all those hills.
28:25Exactly.
28:26Keeps you fit.
28:27The final question.
28:29It's 3-2.
28:30So I'm going to award two points to whoever gets it right.
28:33Oh my gosh, this needs to be me.
28:34I know this is such a solid game, but we are slightly bending the rules.
28:37So question number five.
28:40A Yorkshire pudding can be any size.
28:45Is...
28:45A Porky!
28:48Get in there, China.
28:49So according to scientists, a Yorkshire pudding isn't a Yorkshire pudding if it's less than four inches tall.
29:00I don't know.
29:01I don't think no scientists have ever had a Yorkshire pudding in their life, personally.
29:04Don't be a sore loser, Neil.
29:06No one likes that.
29:07We'll see you next time.
29:09It's a great game show.
29:12Well, we probably won't.
29:15I'm off to ring my agent to see if there's been any interest.
29:19I'm off to ring my agent.
29:49It's on the market for £300,000.
29:54Or for offers over £700,000, this double-fronted farmhouse has knock-out features,
30:01like this kitchen fireplace and homely living room.
30:04Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, while outside has stables and a paddock.
30:09In an elevated position with rural views.
30:13And for something a little out of the ordinary, how about this butte?
30:20It might look like something from a period drama, and that could be because it's starred in several.
30:27This 17-bedroom country house sits on a 3,000-acre estate.
30:31And it has a very grand hall, a huge dining room, and a vast library, as well as a striking standout kitchen,
30:41which is part of a three-bedroom self-contained flat that's available for £700 per night with a three-night minimum stay.
30:49What a great first day with Neil in China, here in beautiful North Yorkshire.
30:57And the headline, China's Changing Attitude.
31:01I feel like she's so wrapped up in how Neil's, hers and Havana's new life in the countryside could be,
31:06that she's actually turning into Neil.
31:07She's talking about ripping off roofs, knocking down walls, which is great for our mystery house.
31:12I think they're going to love it, because it's one where they can inject a bit of character and love into it.
31:17But before that, a turnkey option, which I hope will mean that they can keep their hands and China's nails clean.
31:25Our exciting Dale search continues, in the North Yorkshire village of Thornton Rust.
31:31Maybe we overuse the phrase, picture-perfect, but this area is picture-perfect, even in wet weather.
31:41Nearby are Aysgarth Falls, that featured in the works of Turner, Wordsworth and Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves.
31:49It's just a 15-minute cycle from here, to the house in question.
31:53Look how beautiful it is. Our next offering.
31:57This is really nice. This is stunning.
31:59One little thing I have to say. Blue door, I'm a Liverpool supporter, so I prefer a red door.
32:03But it is stunning.
32:05We'll just take down the Manchester United wallpaper inside.
32:08That'll be fine.
32:10That doesn't exist, Neil. No, it doesn't.
32:13Look at the house.
32:14It is a stunning house. It looks big.
32:16Do you know, everything's quite central.
32:18You like everything symmetrical.
32:19I do like things symmetrical. It's nice. Door in the middle, windows either side.
32:23And just to say, it's all of that house.
32:25So those windows at the end.
32:26Yeah, that's what I mean.
32:27Oh, you've thrown it off now. Now it's no longer symmetrical.
32:30What have you done to it?
32:31It's huge.
32:32It is.
32:32I said it looks huge.
32:34Real tight-knit community around here.
32:35I was speaking to the owner of this property and 12 months ago, they were all talking about
32:39setting up their own salsa classes, but they never got around to it.
32:42So maybe this is a sign.
32:44A little salsa in the village.
32:46I just got the back, guys. I don't want to show anyone.
32:48Is that a sign, Neil?
32:51Yeah, it could be.
32:52You know, if they're all wanting to get into dancing, this would be great.
32:55I'm so excited to show you inside this one.
32:57I really am.
32:58It's incredible.
32:59Shall we go and do it?
32:59Yes.
33:00This semi-detached former farmhouse was built from stone around 1750 and is grade two listed.
33:09It's been expertly styled to blend original features with modern comforts.
33:15I mean, how cosy is this living room, all this is?
33:19Oh, yeah.
33:20This is cosy.
33:21This is a good size.
33:22Yeah.
33:23And the beams were cleaned up by the current owners five years ago.
33:26They re-laid the floors so they're oak underneath.
33:29As long as it's not creaking.
33:30Yeah.
33:31Because we know how that annoys that.
33:31Should we do the creak test?
33:32Yeah.
33:33And I like how high the ceilings are.
33:35Yes.
33:35Yeah.
33:35Still plenty of light coming through the windows.
33:37There's huge windows.
33:38Huge windows, yeah.
33:39Could you imagine a nice cosy evening by the fire?
33:42Stunning view.
33:44Yeah.
33:44Normally she's laying down and then straight away she's like, massage my feet.
33:47And I'm thinking, I'm the one that's been dancing all day.
33:51Yeah, Neil.
33:52That's much harder than looking after a two-year-old.
33:56Poor doll.
33:58To the rear of the house is a snug or playroom for Havana.
34:02While at the front is a dining room, giving access to the kitchen.
34:07Oh, wow.
34:07Oh, this is a good size.
34:09This is what I was talking about.
34:11See, I'm here to deliver China, you know what I mean?
34:13Yeah, this is what I'm talking about.
34:14I mean, the floor as well is this Indian sandstone.
34:18Gorgeous.
34:19Loveless.
34:19Look at those big slate windowsills over there with the cushions on.
34:23I can have a party if you want.
34:24No, it's not enough room for both of us, sorry.
34:26This is, I just...
34:27Oh, wow.
34:28No.
34:31Look out the window.
34:31Neil, come on, share.
34:32With my matcha.
34:34Share.
34:35No, this is nice.
34:36This is nice.
34:37I feel like Havana would love this.
34:39Yeah.
34:39Watching us cook, because she loves to see us cook.
34:42Suture that to China.
34:43Start calling, you find China's up there.
34:45Could you imagine?
34:48And knowing that you could cook, and like we say, Havana could sit up here, reading her
34:52books and all like that.
34:53And on a vanity note, I'm just going to say, guys, imagine the social media posts on you.
34:57Look at all I can see the lighting already.
34:58Look at this.
35:00It is great lighting.
35:01I mean...
35:02Not going to lie.
35:03How many likes is that going to get?
35:04Come on.
35:05No filter needed, Neil, you know what I mean?
35:07All those stables.
35:08Drops and reposts.
35:09Wow.
35:11The kitchen window is good for likes, but there's more to love upstairs.
35:16I love this window.
35:18I love it.
35:20Where there are four bedrooms.
35:22I love this.
35:23I love the big windows.
35:24Yeah.
35:26Ceilings.
35:27Good height, yeah.
35:28Perfect.
35:29There's a lot that we could do with this.
35:30Oh, another good-sized room.
35:33I love this.
35:34I feel like this would be perfect for Havana.
35:36Do you know what I'm thinking?
35:37A bathtub in the room.
35:40How great is that?
35:41No.
35:41No, Neil.
35:42Just a bathtub.
35:43What do you need a bathtub for?
35:44You don't even go in the bath.
35:46I love a bath.
35:46You're literally a shower person.
35:48You go in the bath, like, what, twice a year?
35:51No, no, no.
35:51What do you need a bath in the bedroom for?
35:52No, I go...
35:53I don't want to watch you bath, by the way, whilst I'm in bed.
35:57I am so in love with this charming village.
35:59And one of my favourite things is, it's still got a working telephone box.
36:03Hey, was it Wonder Woman who used to go in the telephone box, do the spin, and then come
36:07out in her costume?
36:08Hmm.
36:09Forget Wonder Woman.
36:17The way this house tour's going, it's Wonder Ritchie.
36:20Actually, I think it was Superman, but I've not got the right pants on.
36:24Oh, OK, this is cute.
36:29This is a nice guest room.
36:32They have their own bathroom.
36:34It's a good space.
36:35Yeah.
36:35And it is big.
36:36The other three bedrooms are huge, which allows us, if we want to have another child, we have
36:41another bedroom.
36:42I can already see this.
36:43You really want this child.
36:46And then we have a guest room.
36:49Or, if we choose to have a third child.
36:51Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
36:54Or, when I'm in trouble, I can come and stay here.
36:57Sounds more like it.
36:58Out the back door is a substantial paved patio, and lawn wraps around the other two
37:05sides, all embellished with elements giving an old-world charm.
37:11Plus, a washing line.
37:13Come and join me in the sunshine.
37:16Oh, get that on your face.
37:18Neil, does this garden work for you?
37:19Do you know what?
37:20It's really lovely, but I'm not going to lie.
37:22It's a bit small for me.
37:23Have you looked around there?
37:25Let me have a little look.
37:25Don't pop your head around.
37:26It's small.
37:27He doesn't know what he's on about.
37:28Is he okay?
37:29Yeah, it's not bad, but, you know, I'm thinking a little bit more land.
37:33Imagine, nice little barbecue in the summer.
37:35Love that.
37:35We're sat outside, nice little coffee, sun shining.
37:39The room size is good.
37:40The room size is good.
37:41You only need a little bit.
37:43Maybe the price might help.
37:46Okay.
37:46Okay.
37:47I'm actually thinking it's over budget.
37:49Okay.
37:52$660.
37:52Well, that won't help us, will it?
37:53China, what do you think?
37:55I'll say $600.
37:56Imagine if this was $50,000 under budget.
37:59That would be amazing.
37:59No, that would be amazing.
38:01But imagine if it was $100,000 under budget.
38:05This is on the market for $550,000.
38:09Shut the front door.
38:11You've changed your tone.
38:14Wow.
38:14Just make the checkout to escape to the country.
38:16As long as it doesn't cost us $100,000 just to paint that front door.
38:19I'll do it for $99,000.
38:23This former farmhouse has well-proportioned rooms packed with period charm.
38:28And the garden is pretty as a picture.
38:31All for £550,000.
38:35I have to say, what's nice is it's tanky.
38:37You could just move straight in.
38:39But I don't know.
38:40There's just something about me.
38:41I just...
38:42I'm itching for a project.
38:43You don't need a project.
38:45We don't need something that we need to add heating, electricity, walls, roof.
38:50I'm sure I could find something.
38:53No.
38:53Neil is, of course, best known for Strictly Come Dancing.
39:08And while life now might appear to be all sequins and spray tans,
39:12it hasn't always been that way.
39:15So I wanted to take a break from the house hunt, Neil,
39:18to talk about something that I know is close to your heart
39:21and helping people who are going through a tough time
39:24because you yourself have had experience with homelessness.
39:27Yeah, it was a period when I was training in Finland.
39:31I was living out there.
39:33And one thing after another, I found myself homeless.
39:37And it was just one of those things that you find yourself, like, embarrassed.
39:40You don't want to tell friends and family.
39:43And you're trying to hide it the best you can.
39:46But luckily enough, you know, a charity came along
39:49and they helped me out
39:51and really just helped me find the way for what I could do.
39:56So, you know, because of them, I feel like it's where I am today.
40:01In towns like Harrogate, local businesses work alongside charities
40:06by offering essentials, including clothes and food.
40:09So why is it important for you to get involved and donate this
40:15to people in the community and the wider rural community
40:18who are in need at the moment?
40:19I think it's because Betty's has been part of the local community
40:22for over 100 years.
40:24They've given us so much,
40:25so we feel like we really want to give back to everyone else.
40:29So we usually donate most of our breakfast items and our breads,
40:32things that stay fresh for a couple of days.
40:35Well, Lizzie, we are your delivery men.
40:37Yes.
40:38Amazing.
40:39You look a little bit underwhelmed.
40:40Shall we start backing it up?
40:42Yes.
40:44We're taking these foodstuffs along with other donations
40:47to St Peter's Church.
40:49Look at that.
40:51Where cooked breakfasts, free of charge,
40:53are made available to those in need of one.
40:58Alan Garrow is one of the vicars.
41:01What is the ethos behind The Breakfast Club?
41:04We want anybody who needs it to have a place
41:06where they can be warm, known, received, accepted,
41:10give them some food and sent out into the day,
41:13hopefully, feeling somebody loves me,
41:15somebody knows who I am, somebody cares about me,
41:17somebody will mind if I don't come the next day.
41:19Coming to a place like this, the same for me, helped me
41:23because, you know, it was the one place I actually felt welcomed
41:25and I didn't feel embarrassed.
41:27I never felt embarrassed.
41:28And that's... I think that's incredible what you're doing.
41:30How important is the issue of food poverty in rural communities?
41:35Well, food is expensive
41:36and I think that employment in rural communities
41:39is also not necessarily easy to get hold of.
41:43I mean, people might think that Harrogate
41:45is a place where the streets are paved with gold,
41:47but you can see today there are people with genuine need here,
41:51so that'll be true everywhere.
41:52And one thing I imagine you could both agree on,
41:55a place like this really relies on volunteers.
41:58It takes five people to do a breakfast service
42:01and we do it Monday through to Saturday.
42:03Yeah.
42:03So that's quite a lot of people,
42:05and they're incredibly generous people.
42:08They have to be here at 7.30 in the morning
42:09through until about 9.15.
42:12Yeah, of course.
42:13I'm joining the lovely volunteers in the kitchen.
42:16Thankfully, I'm with these two incredible ladies,
42:19Sue and Veronica.
42:20How long have you been volunteering for Veronica?
42:22Since March, I think.
42:24Well, you've been here longer, Sue, haven't you?
42:2620 years.
42:27You've been volunteering for 20 years?
42:29Yeah.
42:29Sue, that's amazing.
42:31And Neil is front of house taking the orders.
42:34Bacon?
42:35Yes, please.
42:35Beans?
42:36Yes, please.
42:37This is my first time, can't I?
42:38So you're doing fine.
42:39No sauce.
42:39Coffee, one sugar, please.
42:41OK, I'll get that sorted out for you straight away.
42:45You know, I've been in a situation
42:46and I remember just the little bits of help
42:48where it was either a place to stay
42:50or, you know, warm food.
42:52It's everything, you know,
42:53because it's one little thing
42:55you don't have to worry about.
42:57Janie is a regular here
42:59following the death of her mother
43:01for whom she was a carer.
43:04I've been coming here for about two years.
43:06Yeah.
43:06When I first came here,
43:07I was really, really thin
43:09because I wasn't eating hardly anything.
43:10OK.
43:11And they've really built me up
43:13and I feel much better now.
43:14Oh, that's brilliant.
43:15So it's a wonderful church.
43:17It's always nice and warm in here.
43:19Yeah.
43:19Where I'm staying,
43:20my room is absolutely freezing.
43:22And they're so good.
43:23You've got a bag.
43:24Every year we get a bag.
43:25Yeah.
43:26This bag with about eight things in it
43:29from socks, pair of gloves.
43:31Because that's the thing.
43:32That's what people don't realise.
43:33Yeah, yeah.
43:33That's the important stuff,
43:35you know, the same.
43:36Because I've been in that same situation
43:38and then even when I'm walking along,
43:40if I do see someone,
43:42it's more likely,
43:43do you need something?
43:44Yes, yes.
43:44What do you need?
43:45You know, because it might be something,
43:46someone might just turn around and go,
43:48I've got no toothpaste.
43:49Yeah.
43:50You know, it could just be
43:52that you've chose a career
43:53that's just turned upside down
43:55and just that one little thing's gone wrong
43:57and next thing you know,
43:58you're on the street.
43:59Everyone will have their own story,
44:01but you do get people just walking past you,
44:03you know, constantly
44:04and they're just put in their own heads
44:06who you are and what you've done.
44:09Everyone is so kind here
44:10and so nice
44:11and that's what I'm picking up
44:13and that's really important
44:14because it is about being seen.
44:16The number of homeless people
44:18in rural communities is growing,
44:20but the problem is less visible
44:22than in towns,
44:23with some people taking shelter
44:24in remote barns
44:25or camping in fields.
44:28And I've met so many friends
44:29because if I didn't come here,
44:31I wouldn't have anybody.
44:32Yeah.
44:32I'd literally be on my own.
44:34I just love it.
44:44Our final Dale's offering
44:50is in the Yorkshire village
44:51of Stalling Busk,
44:53which according to an online source,
44:56you know the one,
44:57means stallions bush.
44:59Blimey.
44:59And it is dazzling.
45:06Here we go then,
45:07it's Mystery House time
45:08and I'm not going to lie,
45:10this one's for Neil.
45:11It needs a little bit of love,
45:13but I promise you,
45:14all the bones are there.
45:16And yesterday,
45:17China hinted that she wouldn't be against
45:19a project,
45:20so it could be a match made in heaven.
45:22Come and I'll show you what I mean.
45:23This stone cottage
45:26lay derelict for some time
45:27and is now used as a second home.
45:30It currently doesn't have central heating
45:32and requires some modernisation.
45:35What really excites me is
45:37Neil's a visionary.
45:38He's so creative.
45:40And I just know
45:41that he's going to start pinpointing
45:43exactly what he wants to do with it.
45:45And there's just so much potential.
45:48While China is less keen on a project,
45:51hopefully the location will win her round.
45:55I mean,
45:57wowzers.
45:59This is lovely.
46:00Well, it's just as well you said it's lovely
46:02because this
46:03is your mystery house.
46:06Wow.
46:06This is stunning.
46:07I love all this stonework.
46:09I think the stonework is beautiful.
46:12And to me,
46:14it looks like a project.
46:15I don't know if this is
46:16too much of a project.
46:18Never too much of a project.
46:19It's not just this.
46:20What?
46:21The outbuilding's here
46:23as part of the house.
46:24You're joking.
46:25And,
46:25not joking, Neil.
46:27I'm a serious man.
46:28Also,
46:29the building here.
46:29This used to be a pottery kiln.
46:31Oh.
46:31So all of this
46:32is part of the mystery house.
46:34That is so good.
46:34It's a lot of
46:35work.
46:36work.
46:38This potentially could be
46:40for friends.
46:41Like,
46:42we could literally put its own little living room in it,
46:44kitchen maybe.
46:46And when I'm looking at that,
46:48I don't know what it's like on the inside,
46:49but that could be a possible studio.
46:51Should we go and have a look on the inside?
46:52Can we?
46:52Of course we can,
46:53Neil.
46:53This is your mystery house.
46:54You can do what you want.
46:56Yes.
46:57I'm not sure Neil's addressed China's concern there,
47:01but I love his enthusiasm.
47:03Previous inquiries suggest both barns could be renovated for residential use.
47:09Straight away,
47:10dance studio.
47:11The Neil Jones School of Dancing.
47:13Yeah.
47:13Do you know what it is?
47:15It's quite easy.
47:16I've done it before,
47:17levelled out the whole floor.
47:18It's whether you choose to dig down and in,
47:21or you can actually just build up a structure that makes the floor slightly higher.
47:25It isn't such high ceilings.
47:27Of course.
47:27Not a problem.
47:28What's nice about it is,
47:30it's time that I get to spend with you two,
47:33with the girls.
47:34Because usually,
47:34I guess with this kind of thing,
47:35you'd go away to a studio.
47:36Go away.
47:37It can be on your doorstep.
47:39I could literally wake up in the morning.
47:40Have Anna could watch you.
47:40She could watch.
47:42If we've got the extra space there,
47:43I can bring some of the dancers up.
47:45Don't forget Blackpool week.
47:46It'll be Yorkshire week.
47:47Yeah.
47:47Honestly.
47:49What do you think, China?
47:52It's something.
47:54It's a good space.
47:55It's an incredible space.
47:56Erm, yeah.
47:59Technically, she said yes, Neil.
48:02I'd quit while you're ahead.
48:03Let's go and see the main house.
48:05I mean, this is just potential in spade loads.
48:09This is stunning.
48:11The tradition in here.
48:13The beams.
48:14The open brickwork around the fire.
48:16Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm.
48:17I imagine, like, even, like,
48:20sanding these down and lighting them up,
48:22you can make this into our dream home.
48:25Like, I see the vision.
48:27Yes!
48:28The bones are there chopping out.
48:29It's there.
48:30The structure's there.
48:31Look.
48:32Look at this space.
48:33This is...
48:34You've got to think.
48:34I see the space.
48:36I'm seeing the space.
48:38We will get it done before we move in.
48:40That will take two years.
48:42No, no.
48:42Neil, this...
48:43If we find the right people,
48:44it could be done real quick.
48:45Hmm.
48:46How great would it be, China,
48:47to know that you've done this up yourself?
48:50That is true.
48:51Yes.
48:52Maybe when I see the rest of the rooms,
48:54I might change my mind.
48:56Shall we go through to the kitchen?
48:58Yes.
48:58Follow me.
48:59And keep those vision goggles on, China.
49:01It's so good.
49:04Those vision goggles need turning up
49:06for the utility room,
49:07which requires a bit of finishing,
49:09but the kitchen is in a better state.
49:13Oh, wow.
49:15Come on.
49:16Oh, hey.
49:16Oh, China.
49:18This isn't that bad.
49:19What's going on?
49:20It's the light, the view.
49:23The view is stunning, isn't it?
49:24Look at that.
49:26OK.
49:26This is nice.
49:28She's incredible.
49:28When it comes to interior,
49:30I trust her 100%.
49:31But do you not think it's a bit much?
49:34No.
49:34No, because we're still young.
49:36You're still young.
49:38We're still young.
49:39We're a similar age, Neil.
49:40Don't do me dirty like that.
49:42We are all young.
49:43We're still young.
49:44Very young.
49:44And we're looking for a forever home.
49:46Let your imagination run away with you.
49:48Oh, I am.
49:49Pretend you're planning couple's choice.
49:50Oh, yeah.
49:51This is going to be the best couple's choice ever.
49:54It might be more of an individual choice.
49:56I don't think it's couple's choice.
49:57This is getting a BAFTA, this one.
50:01How long have you been on Strictly for now?
50:0210 years.
50:0310 years?
50:0410 years.
50:04Did you get something for your 10th year?
50:05You don't get a partner, for sure.
50:09That's the 11th year.
50:10That's the 11th year.
50:11Yeah.
50:11Maybe I'll be on the Christmas special and I'll win it.
50:14So the downstairs of the house.
50:16Yes.
50:17How would you sum it up?
50:19So far, I think it is absolutely brilliant.
50:21And, Chyna, I feel like you need to see a bit more of the house.
50:24Yeah, I need to see a lot more.
50:27Do you want to have a look upstairs?
50:29Yes.
50:29Because these stairs are quite nice.
50:30They're nice, aren't they?
50:31These are great because you can dance at these.
50:35They're well.
50:36See, and that's what I don't want.
50:38I have enough of that on a daily basis.
50:41See, it's making me feel all really creative.
50:43I love it.
50:43Do you know what we want to see now?
50:45Chyna, do it.
50:45Come on, Chyna.
50:46Go on, Chyna.
50:47Come on.
50:48Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun.
50:50Hoo, hoo.
50:52That was quite good.
50:54No, I'm joking.
50:54It was very good, Chyna.
50:55It was very good.
50:57A major selling point of this house is the amount of space.
51:01And upstairs, the brochure lists five bedrooms.
51:05This could be a little bit of an area where Havana can play around.
51:08Right now, it does feel dark.
51:11I'd say remove the roof.
51:13What has she got against roofs?
51:17The largest bedroom is at the front of the house.
51:20Oh, this is fantastic.
51:21I like this.
51:22I think this is probably my favourite part of the house.
51:25Like, I love the beams.
51:28Yeah.
51:28It has a lot of potential.
51:30I do see.
51:35There's a family bathroom, which we won't worry Chyna with for now,
51:38because I think she'll be more impressed by the additional reception room downstairs.
51:43Oh, yeah.
51:46OK.
51:47This is cosy.
51:48Do you know what I'm saying here?
51:50Dining room.
51:51Oh, I was going to say playroom.
51:52You've got the living room through there, but you can come through.
51:55The kitchen is there.
51:56Friends and that could be sat in the living room,
51:59and you're like, food's ready.
52:00And they come through that door,
52:02and you're just coming through with a tray.
52:05Well, you can come through the tray, like, yay.
52:07Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
52:08And you can be sat down, head at the table.
52:11How nice is that?
52:12I'm seeing it.
52:16Outside is incredible.
52:19I'd move straight into that barn for views like this.
52:21Wow.
52:25Richie, look at these views.
52:27Listen, another reason I wanted to bring you here was for this.
52:32I mean, I don't think I've ever seen a view like this from a property.
52:37Absolutely stunning.
52:39Okay, you should have started with that.
52:41I'm thinking infinity pool looking out,
52:45or sauna with the glass window looking out.
52:48Wow.
52:49And tell me, do we get that bit of land as well?
52:52This is all your garden.
52:53So everything you can see within the stone wall,
52:55this is all your boundary.
52:57I'm not going to lie, it's a great-sized garden.
53:00Should we talk about the price of the house?
53:03Yeah.
53:03I'm going to say 500.
53:07500,000 pounds.
53:08I want to say it could be more like 450.
53:12China, you are correct.
53:13It's on the market for 500,000 pounds.
53:16So 150,000 pounds under budget.
53:20Wow.
53:21That's incredible.
53:22All those things you're talking about,
53:22that will really help towards it.
53:25Oh, 100%.
53:26Priceless views and well under budget.
53:29This substantial stone cottage is packed with potential,
53:33only limited by imagination.
53:35As long as Neil can sell China on it.
53:46We've toured some beautiful scenery
53:48that Neil, China and Havana
53:51could enjoy from any of the remarkable homes in our line-up.
53:55So can they see a future in any of them?
53:59Right then, we've seen some incredible properties this week.
54:02Yeah.
54:02So different as well.
54:04Where's your head up?
54:05My head is really...
54:07It's the last property.
54:09We're here in the mystery house.
54:10In the mystery house.
54:11I see the vision.
54:13I'm so excited about it because the views, number one.
54:17Because you know what?
54:18Yeah, I would agree.
54:18You've got to agree on that.
54:20No, that was...
54:21It's one of those things where some of the houses were beautiful.
54:25Inside, you walk around going, this is great, this is lovely.
54:27But there's a reason why we're moving to the countryside.
54:30I'm definitely down selling the boat.
54:34Yeah.
54:34I love my boat, but I'm down for selling the boat
54:37because, honestly, if that means we can get that property
54:40and we can use that money also to be able to do it up,
54:44I'm down for that.
54:45But another project, and another project of a bigger scale,
54:51and you are always working underway.
54:55I know, but look, but think about this.
54:56Rome wasn't built in a day, but look at Rome now.
54:59It's stunning.
54:59And how many years did that take?
55:01Yeah, we won't take as long because I want to be around for the end of it.
55:04But remember, I had two years of the boat being built.
55:07Built.
55:08And then now you want me to have probably another two years of another property.
55:12But the difference is, I was doing most of the work on the boat.
55:16This one, I'll come up with the designs,
55:18but I'll let professionals get on because they're going to be quicker.
55:20So that means when I'm on tour, it's still happening.
55:24If Neil goes in like he says he is, and he did all the work to it,
55:28and he gave that incredible property and that incredible setting,
55:32a new lease of life,
55:33could that be somewhere where you could see yourself bringing up a family?
55:37Oh, 100%.
55:38I can see the potential.
55:39I just then don't want to see it until it's done.
55:44It's fine.
55:44It's fine by me.
55:45Listen, I honestly think the world of both of you,
55:47and I cannot wait to be the first guest in that guest house over the road.
55:52Yeah.
55:53Oh, we'll put you in the main house, don't worry.
55:55Oh, yeah.
55:56Where's China going to sleep?
55:57Don't worry.
55:58I won't be there.
55:59I've had such a wonderful week exploring the magical and charming North Yorkshire countryside.
56:13I mean, I would give that a 10.
56:15And for someone like Neil, who's spent all of his life on the move,
56:19I'm delighted to hear that he wants to lay down his family's roots in a surrounding like this.
56:24But why wouldn't you?
56:26And China, I'm sorry.
56:28I tried with the turnkey properties, but this is Neil.
56:31He was always going to be grabbed by a project.
56:34He was always going to want to get his teeth stuck into something.
56:38I'm so happy to hear that they're taking our mystery house seriously.
56:42They're going to go away now and just work out their finances.
56:44And like Neil said, he's even considering selling his beloved boat.
56:49But come on, when this is on your doorstep, who needs a boat?
