I must say I also like the villainous 2FL. She tells the ML if I’m not doing well, no one is doing well. That tickled me, in light of the conversation’s context. In practice, that is exactly how the FL lives her life. She cut off the ML’s good thing immediately when the marriage no longer held value for her. These two young women made my day. They were both strong characters played well by the actresses.
Gotta love how the protagonist doesn’t waste her time or words on her spouse. She doesn’t feel around trying to figure his thinking out. She clearly sees he’s crossed boundaries unapologetically. She quietly takes her leave step by step without the unnecessary departure statements many short dramas drown us viewers in. Thank you so much screenwriters for writing this character as a human being who loves herself at the same level—or better—as the man she chose to love.
