00:04One of President Donald Trump's final acts of 2025 was a truth social rant targeting actor George Clooney.

00:11Trump criticized Clooney's support for Democrats, called him an average guy, and mocked his newly granted French citizenship,

00:18accusing Clooney and his wife Amal of being two of the worst political prognosticators while linking France's crime issues to immigration,

00:25which he compared to policies under Sleepy Joe Biden, according to Mediaite.

00:30Trump also attacked Clooney over his remarks about former President Joe Biden's mental acuity

00:35and invoked California Governor Gavin Newsom's potential 2028 run,

00:41claiming Newsom would lead the Democrats to their future defeat.

00:45In a truth social post, Trump mocked Clooney for abandoning Biden after the debate

00:49and backing Jamala saying she is now competing with the worst governor in the country,

00:53including Tim Walz and Gavin Newsom, to lead Democrats to defeat.

00:57Trump then called out Clooney for being an average guy and not a star.

01:02He wasn't a movie star at all, he was just an average guy who complained constantly about common sense in politics,

01:09Trump's post comes on the heels of Clooney's criticism of CBS News editor-in-chief Barry Weiss.

01:15Clooney told Variety on Tuesday,

01:17Barry Weiss is dismantling CBS News as we speak.

01:20He also noted networks such as CBS and ABC settled defamation lawsuits that Trump initiated.

01:28If CBS and ABC had challenged those lawsuits and said go F yourself,

01:32we wouldn't be where we are in the country.

01:34That's simply the truth, he said.

01:36Weiss responded to Clooney in an email that included an open invitation to her newsroom.
