00:00In southern Mexico, a 6.5 magnitude earthquake shook the country's capital and several states on Friday.
00:06According to the National Seismological Service, the Tremors epicenter was located 15 kilometers southwest of the Guerrero municipality of San Marcos.
00:16The quake was felt in several parts of Mexico City, the coastal area of Guerrero, and states further away,
00:23such as triggering seismic alerts and causing hundreds to evacuate buildings and properties.
00:30The event forced the suspension of the usual morning press conference by President Claudia Sheinbaum,
00:37who informed upon her return to the National Palace that preliminary reports indicate no serious damage.
00:53I spoke with the Governor of Guerrero, Evelyn Salgado.
00:58They are convening the Civil Protection Council, and so far it appears that there is no serious damage.

01:10In the case of Mexico City, the first helicopter flyover carried out as the protocol mandates.
