00:00What the Faith Temple Church is going on?
00:20Tonight, former congregation members of Faith Temple Church claim Real Housewives star Mary Cosby is running a cult.
00:27Mary's the pastor of Faith Temple Pentecostal Church.
00:31She is touted as one of the wealthiest housewives of Salt Lake City.
00:35She's quirky, funny.
00:37I love her and I hate her.
00:39She is reality television gold.
00:42And she's married to her grandmother's husband.
00:47This was the reason that people were watching the show.
00:51Mary.
00:51You have this woman who married her step-grandfather, took over the church,
00:55and the church is being called a cult.
00:58I cannot believe Miss Mary Cosby.
01:00Is it a cult?
01:01Where was she getting all her money from?
01:03There's obviously a scandal here.
01:06A big one.
01:08It's time for people to know the truth.
01:11So that the people can see for themselves who she is and what she's about.
01:17This was always a need for money.
01:19They need $100,000.
01:22They need it by Thursday.
01:24It's about manipulation.
01:25It's about control.
01:27She has a spell on these people.
01:30There was a fear of leaving.
01:31You had to do what Mary and Robert said, or your salvation is at risk.
01:37That's a big red flag.
01:39In my control cult, power, money, and sex of the three universals.
01:44They used the pulpit to torment you.
01:47It was all in the premise of God.
01:50Holiness and hell.
01:51Isolation became more frequent.
01:54You can't talk to other members.
01:56It's unbelievable, the pain.
01:58They have no idea what she's capable of.
02:04My whole body went numb from the neck down.
02:07And I heard something speak to me and say, it's a cult.
02:10Cult.
02:10Cult.
02:10This photograph, it's fun and it's sad at the same time.
02:33Because I see so many relationships and so much history in these relationships.
02:41I see several people that are no longer members and some that are unfortunately still current members of the church.
02:49The girl in the red dress, do you recognize her?
02:54I absolutely recognize her.
02:56I wish I didn't.
02:58Mary.
03:00Jefferson at that time.
03:03She was my girlfriend.
03:05Get out.
03:06At that time.
03:07Yeah.
03:07Yeah.
03:08We treated her like extended family coming from the church.
03:13But Mary was a bully.
03:16I remember Mary picking on certain girls, controlling them.
03:20Of course, when you're kids, you see these things and you don't think much of it.
03:26But as an adult, you look back on these days, she wasn't a nice person.
03:31If you want to understand her character, it's right there in front of your face.
03:37It's on national television.
03:42Well, it's been all the talk of the town.
03:44We are so excited because this week is the premiere of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
03:49I think Salt Lake City is going to take it.
03:52Oh, Salt Lake City is going to be everybody's new favorite.
03:55What a cast.
03:56If you've never watched The Real Housewives of any franchise, it essentially follows the friendships of a group of fabulous socialite women in their respective cities.
04:07They're always beautiful and they're always rich.
04:10But what Salt Lake City did different, there was a religious aspect.
04:15In Salt Lake City, there is a huge community of Mormons.
04:19But the show has an array of beliefs.
04:22You have Meredith Marks, who is Jewish.
04:23You have Jen Shaw, who converted Mormonism to Islam.
04:27And you have Mary Cosby, who is a pastor of a Pentecostal church.
04:33This is the truth.
04:34I believe in it.
04:36So let God be God.
04:39We see Mary preaching on the show.
04:44She has authority.
04:46Her congregation loves her.
04:49She comes across as a legitimate pastor.
04:52Mary was first portrayed on the show as very pretty, quirky.
04:58She says things that some people might find funny.
05:02Others might say she's dumb.
05:04According to reports, in the first season, Mary's touted as one of the wealthiest housewives of Salt Lake City, with an estimated net worth of about $5 million.
05:23Mary takes her castmate, Whitney, on a grand tour of her house.
05:28Her room and closets are overflowing with designer goods.
05:32Welcome you to my little humble abode.
05:35And I don't let anyone in, but.
05:38My God.
05:39I have a little bit of a shopping problem.
05:41You have a closet and this?
05:44Every closet in the house is full of my clothes.
05:46I would be watching the show.
05:48I would be seeing the mansion.
05:49I would know about the house in Florida.
05:51I would know about the house in Vegas.
05:53The penthouse in New York.
05:54I would wonder, how are you affording all of it?
05:56So Mary begins to introduce herself and her marriage to the audience.
06:11Mary explains that the reason why she is a pastor of Faith Temple is because of her grandmother, who essentially gave Mary the church and all of its businesses when she died.
06:26Basically, my grandmother passed everything on to me.
06:29And literally, she wanted me to also marry her second husband, which was my step-grandfather.
06:39This takes it to a whole new level in some weird, effed-up way.
06:43I've never heard of a step-grandfather marrying their step-granddaughter.
06:47Like, what the hell is going on?
06:49It was kind of in my grandma's will for us to marry.
06:53She said, if anything ever happens to me, Bobby, I want you to marry one of my girls because they'll look out for you.
07:00We're blessed to this day because of it.
07:03Watching the clip of Mary Cosby explaining her relationship with her husband, it's wild.
07:10Legitimately, no other Real Housewives franchise has started with scandal.
07:16Salt Lake City was the first one.
07:17Lots to talk about today in the comments section.
07:19I want to know, what do you guys think about Mary, Martha, and this whole marrying her step-grandfather business?
07:27My reaction to it was, what?
07:29Who would go for grandma's, you know, sloppy seconds?
07:46Mary became a hot topic.
07:48She was going to fire.
07:50That got people saying, have you heard about Salt Lake City?
07:53I just discovered the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
07:56That's new.
07:56Have you seen it yet?
07:57No, I have not seen that.
07:59Is that...
07:59Oh, boy.
08:01We have to talk about Mary Cosby.
08:03Her whole backstory is very interesting.
08:06She was 25.
08:08He was 45.
08:08Mary was born in 1972, which would make her three years old at the time Robert was coming into her life as her step-grandfather.
08:19Mary said she was 22 years old at the time of marrying Robert, and Robert is 20 years her senior.
08:25It's strange, but it gives me creep vibes.
08:29Mary even says herself that it's weird, it's a little bit taboo, but it's a blessing, and so it's just kind of something people have to move on from.
08:41It's not my blood.
08:43It was a family situation choice that I knew was right.
08:47So they're coming at me like I'm incest, and I'm gross, and I'm marrying my grandfather, which sounds ridiculous.
08:54But I think...
08:55Well, it does sound ridiculous, but I mean, it does sound ridiculous.
08:58It's my story.
08:59The reality is, you married your grandpa, and that's it.
09:06I think a lot of housewives don't understand if you have skeletons in your closet, you better not join a reality TV show.
09:14So we're just going to ignore the audio that leaked of Mary Cosby of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City berating her congregation.
09:37Listen.
09:37This was somebody in the congregation who was obviously hurt, who has dealt with this before, or else they wouldn't have taken their phone out and recorded it.
10:02To hear this audio clip where she is ripping into people, you kind of go, wait, is that real?
10:20Like, which version of Mary is real?
10:22My name is Denise Jefferson.
10:34Mary is my sister.
10:35I didn't know that my sister was capable of doing what she's doing.
10:41She's on this show telling them about God, and she's like, we'll let God be the judge.
10:45For me, church is a place of a rescue, and it's a place where love should always fall.
10:53She's a big hypocrite, and the world is eating it up.
10:58The bottom line is, I'm going to tell you, she's always been a fraud, as far as I'm concerned.
11:02My earliest memories of Mary were basically very needy, and sometimes in areas where it was not always good in the family.
11:20But I admired her because she had a nice spirit when she wanted to.
11:26I was the big sister, and I think that she kind of felt that respect for me.
11:31But I now understand that Mary being able to even marry our gramps was not normal.
11:41And I feel like the reason it happened was because of who she is.
11:48You have to step out of yourself to make a decision like that and have an end goal, and I think that that's what happened.
11:55That's the form of manipulation.
12:04There was a lot of chatter online that Mary was running a cult from Faith Temple.
12:24She's a pastor, a pastor of a cult.
12:33Mm-hmm.
12:34Y'all, I think it might be a cult.
12:36There's a side to Mary we haven't seen yet, people.
12:38She sounded like a real cult leader.
12:40This is not a good look.
12:42Mom!
12:46After every season of Real Housewives, there is the reunion, and that is a moment where fans get to ask the Real Housewives themselves about questions during the season.
12:56The allegations were reaching a fever pitch.
12:59So much so that Andy had to bring it up on the reunion.
13:03Are there rumors that your church is a cult?
13:06Yes.
13:08It was peculiar that a pastor was being openly questioned on national television.
13:13It legitimized the rumors as now accusations that we're going to talk about.
13:20As an investigative journalist, I was very curious if it actually did fit the definition of a cult.
13:26Are there serious allegations of spiritual abuse, financial abuse, keeping people isolated?
13:32So I really wanted to explore that further because I was unsure if this show would really get to the bottom of it.
13:40When I first started looking into these allegations that Faith Temple was a cult, I tried to find former members.
13:48I spoke with nearly a dozen people.
13:52A lot of them laid out a series of accusations that had to deal with donating money to the church.
13:58It was a very intense process of draining resources from congregation members.
14:16Wow.
14:18They have the whole Faith Temple Pentecostal Church Youth Choir on hand to entertain.
14:23Really putting a lot into it out there.
14:25How do you get the kids to stay with you?
14:26Oh, my gosh.
14:28The main thing is to keep their minds on God.
14:30Get God into anything, it becomes a success.
14:33Wow.
14:34Please don't bless you.
14:35Wow.
14:37God bless you.
14:38I can't even remember that day, but I'm in that video.
14:45I saw myself.
14:47It made me emotional because of my dad.
14:51My sister singing and a lot of memories.
14:54I led a lot of songs with the choir.
14:59I was the first child born to my parents in Faith Temple.
15:03There's myself, Rosalyn.
15:05And then there's my brothers, Ernest and Michael.
15:10The story is that my father had pretty much given up on churches.
15:15My grandmother happened to come across Rosemary Cosby, who we all call Mama.
15:22And he liked what he saw.
15:24And from that point on, it was the Enoch's and Faith Temple.
15:29Mary, there's supposedly audio of you calling your congregation poor and stingy.
15:35Yeah.
15:35Because they didn't give you gifts for your birthday.
15:37That's not true.
15:38How do we know that's not really you?
15:40It is me.
15:41Oh, it is you?
15:41Yeah, it is me.
15:42And you know what?
15:43It was taken out of content.
15:46Well, the last part of it is her lying.
15:49I was there when Mary complained about the 14 birthday cards.
15:52I was always there.
15:54I'm the organist.
15:55I gave this chick a card with $1,000 in it.
16:00Asked me if she said thank you.
16:02There is a plan.
16:04That card has for every one of us.
16:07Faith Temple, under Robert and Mary Cosby, they created this thing called these heave offerings.
16:13They were going to have them every six months.
16:17It started to increase over time.
16:19We could have just had a heave offering meeting, and then in a week or two, we're having another meeting where we're being told there's an emergency, and they need $100,000.
16:28They need it by Thursday.
16:32The worst announcement you could hear when you walked into that church is, tell everybody don't leave.
16:36We need to have an emergency saints meeting.
16:40And you knew it was going to be about money.
16:42We have these meetings after church.
16:46Robert would instruct ushers to stand at the doors.
16:51So you're just being barricaded in here.
16:58During this meeting, everyone put their name and their amount on the list.
17:04If you didn't have a certain amount, Robert would say, and that's all you have?
17:09I mean, there's nothing spiritual about that, right?
17:15To collect money, they use credit cards.
17:17In fact, I can recall texting my debit card number to one of the members that collected all the money so that he could enter that in manually.
17:28There were times that I would give $5,000.
17:30It was a lot.
17:34This money is getting bigger and bigger, bigger and bigger.
17:37There were people cashing out 401Ks, losing homes.
17:43It got to be a financial embarrassment for some.
17:46I'm doing everything.
17:48I got a loan.
17:48I'm trying to pay off for my 401K.
17:50If I pay it off, I can pull some more out and help.
17:53It was a lot of pressure.
17:54Where is all this money going?
17:57What is it being used for?
17:59In mind-control cults, power, money, and sex are the three universals, and not always sex, but usually.
18:10That's a big red flag.
18:13My name is Dr. Stephen Hasson.
18:15I'm a cult expert, and I'm considered to be a world authority on cults and brainwashing.
18:21Within religious mind-control cults, there's a lot of financial exploitation.
18:27We live in a world where we need money for food, for shelter, to buy clothing, and everything else.
18:34And it's true that Judaism and Christianity and Islam talk about giving a percentage to help the community.
18:44But they don't talk about giving over everything you have.
18:49And when people find out that the leader is living a luxurious lifestyle, it's natural to feel angry and upset and feel exploited.
19:00Most people in cults, they have no clue what's actually happening behind the scenes.
19:07Good people can't imagine the level of evil.
19:10The rumor is that your personal wealth is coming from somehow through the church.
19:20Andy, my church couldn't possibly take care of me.
19:22When you've seen the size of my church, Meredith, you have too.
19:25They couldn't. There's no way I could.
19:26And I guess it would stand to reason, then, that they would be quite upset watching the show, seeing you with all the labels and all that stuff.
19:35Yeah, if they thought that I was taking their money.
19:37Right.
19:37They know better.
19:38I'm a God-fearing woman.
19:40I would never do that.
19:42I guess the next big question would be, if your lifestyle is not on the backs of the people who are supporting the church, what is it on the back of?
19:54What do you do?
19:55Where do you work?
19:58Let's start there.
19:59People saying, wait, exactly what is going on with this church sets the stage for what we're about to see in season two.
20:22The ladies of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are back.
20:26Who's the most bizarre housewife of all of them?
20:29It's Mary Cosby, the cult.
20:30Oh, yeah.
20:32There it is.
20:33Mary Cosby, she runs an alleged cult and she's married to her grandmother's husband.
20:40What?
20:41I love her and I hate her.
20:42She is reality television gold.
20:45The reason that Mary Cosby is the villain that you love on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is because Mary Cosby is unapologetically herself.
20:55Her season two tagline was, if you come for me, I will send Jesus after you.
20:59And I'm like, it makes great television.
21:02Let's put it that way.
21:04Mary just has an inability to feel what anybody else is going through with herself.
21:12One of the members in our church, like one of their daughters, like had a crash.
21:17When?
21:18Like last night.
21:20And she was ejected from the sunroof and fell down into a neighborhood.
21:2530 feet, drop off the freeway.
21:30Is she still alive?
21:31No.
21:36Wear your seatbelt.
21:42Mm-hmm.
21:43Mm-hmm.
21:49I just watched a clip of the real Howl Wives.
21:55Salt Lake City and Mary mocking the loss of a life of my loved one, a niece that I had a hand in raising.
22:19Like it was a joke.
22:22Like it was a joke.
22:25Michael is my niece, and she's the daughter of my youngest sibling, Michael.
22:35Michael and I were super close.
22:38We were buddies.
22:39This was the niece that would text you in the morning and say, hey, auntie, I'm thinking about you.
22:43She lost her life tragically to an accident.
22:49This was a young girl, just getting her life started.
22:52A mother of two children.
22:57Michael's baby boy turned one year old three days after she passed.
23:01I loved Michael with her beautiful self.
23:11That beautiful girl, she was smart.
23:14And she was working on doing things and just trying to get it together.
23:21Just like, you know, any other kid her age is.
23:24Can I play you that clip from Housewives?
23:27Nah.
23:27And I'm not going to give her the satisfaction.
23:31How did it make me feel?
23:33I was angry.
23:34That was an attack on me and my daughter.
23:38You have to be one miserable human being to go that low.
23:48Oh, well, I guess you should wear a seatbelt.
23:51I saw it.
23:53Now, that's a pastor?
23:56No, sir.
23:57Not at all.
23:59It was a very traumatizing moment to watch.
24:02Anyone that can speak and joke about anything like that doesn't deserve to pastor.
24:07Anything.
24:09Why are you speaking on my daughter anyway?
24:12You didn't send condolences.
24:14These are babies.
24:16I watched little London dance around her mom's casket.
24:21And not one phone call from Mary.
24:26He didn't say nothing.
24:28Fortunately, my daughter's gone.
24:30She didn't have to hear it.
24:32It's unfortunate for my daughter that she loved Mary and Robert.
24:36She loved the church.
24:39She kept a doll that Mary bought her when my daughter was a little girl.
24:43When I went to clean out her place, she still had that doll.
24:46This would piss me off.
24:55This was a child of one of the members of your congregation.
24:59And you are talking about it so just like nonchalantly.
25:03When people watch reality TV, it is a form of entertainment.
25:08And you're expecting to be entertained.
25:10But speaking to these congregation members, it was very sobering.
25:15This was not a point of entertainment anymore.
25:18People that knew our family and knew Mikel were coming together.
25:25And they began to start a GoFundMe.
25:28From what I heard, Mary told her members not to help me.
25:33And if you gave anything to the GoFundMe, go and take it back.
25:40Blame my daughter to rest.
25:41And Mary's being an antagonizer.
25:43Where is it at?
25:44What's going on?
25:45Who did this?
25:46Why are you involved?
25:47It's disgusting.
25:48What I think Mary's reason was, is because any money that was not going to come to Mary,
25:54was going to shorten her bank account.
25:57Because why else would you do it?
25:59I know that's what kills me about marrying Robert.
26:01I'm like, what do y'all think that you are actually getting away with?
26:04Because you're not.
26:06You're doing evil.
26:08She has to live with what she did.
26:11And her day is coming.
26:13And I don't mean that in a threatening way.
26:15I mean that in a way where you reap what you sow.
26:29Allegations against Mary's church because many have claimed that it's very cult-like.
26:34Season two Real Housewives of Salt Lake City dives specifically into the accusations that
26:40Mary is a cult leader.
26:42It had gone from social media chatter to something now that her Real Housewives
26:46castmates were looking into themselves and hearing first-hand reports about what was happening.
26:52So everything came out in real time on screen.
26:56The congregation believes that Mary is God.
26:59That is very clear.
27:00Are they worshiping her?
27:01Yes.
27:02So after watching Whitney explain to Meredith Marks that Mary Cosby leads her church
27:10by representing herself as God, I find it to be insanity.
27:17Not only does she refer to herself as God, but she also tells members they will be condemned to hell
27:23if they don't listen to her.
27:24What the Faith Temple Church is going on?
27:30Faith Temple is a Pentecostal church.
27:32However, the congregation is treating Mary like God.
27:38That is considered blasphemy.
27:40No one is equal to God.
27:41During a sermon on housewives, there is a man that gets on his knees in front of her at the altar.
27:52You have a woman reading this letter to her.
27:56You are my perfect life.
27:58God's love for his people reigns in you.
28:03You are the facsimile of God.
28:05You have another congregation member screaming out that Mary's the best friend that she's ever had.
28:11You'll be the best friend!
28:13People are crying.
28:15It's a very intense moment.
28:17I'll never leave you!
28:19I promise!
28:21I'll stay with you!
28:22I'll stay with you!
28:23I'll stay with you!
28:24Her church putting her equal to God becomes a real point of concern and gives
28:29credence to this accusation that this could be a cult.
28:33Worshipping leaders is a phenomenon that when we hold people up on a pedestal or they have a
28:44position like President of the United States, we have the tendency as mere mortals to have awe.
28:51We think that they're so special we forget they're just human and they have a role or they have an
28:57office and then it's made more complicated with spiritual leaders who say God is speaking to me.
29:05It's a very powerful device that's used to manipulate and control people to get them to
29:12do whatever the leader wants.
29:15That's the stereotypical cult leader.
29:17Well there is one God, one media, one media, between God and me.
29:23Who do you think that is?
29:35Cameron is one of my very good friends and he's our connection to Mary.
29:40When Lisa Barlow introduced Cameron on the show, we were all wondering what is the motive here?
29:46Mary, her husband, they've done some things that have been very harmful.
29:51But the truth was revealed and I knew that I couldn't stay with that truth and I had to walk away.
30:01Something else entirely.
30:02And what was it?
30:05Cameron's not saying exactly everything to Meredith about what happened between him and Mary.
30:10He's kind of dancing around it using vague language to say, you know, be careful.
30:14Just be careful.
30:17He said he had to step away from the church and he acknowledges that there's harm being done in some
30:23way. It's just kind of a question mark of what he really means by that.
30:27I don't like hearing this because I really love Mary.
30:31I did too at one point. Mary and I were extremely close at one point.
30:34After Cameron says that he and Mary had a very close relationship, it opens up the door for social
30:42media to begin rampantly speculating. There's a rumor going around that she was having an affair
30:47with Cameron.
30:49Yes.
30:49Mary Cosby, who cannot escape the allegations, having a boyfriend on the side.
30:55I've heard this rumor for a few weeks now that there was something more intimate going
31:00on between her and Cameron. It intensified. Everyone wanting to find out more.
31:13After Cameron appears on the show, I tried to speak with him as well for my investigation
31:17because he seemed to have a lot more answers to Mary in the church.
31:22Unfortunately, I learned that Cameron passed away shortly after filming due to complications from
31:27surgery because he had a brain tumor. So there still is a lot of mystery
31:34around Cameron and what he had to say about Mary.
31:44Who was Cameron Williams?
31:48Cameron was a smart guy. He was a man that loved God.
31:52He was a good dude. Had a lot of depth to him. Very ambitious. The week I met him is the week he came to church.
32:05Came to the church to be saved. He had three years worth of tithing that he saved, looking for a church.
32:16So when he found Faith Temple, it was like man, you know. He was going hard. He was showing up to services, participating, getting involved.
32:28He became extra confident in the church. And I remember thinking like,
32:35man, this dude is walking around here like he's smashing the main lady in the house.
32:39I thought that. I remember making that statement. And then he just stopped coming. And I didn't hear from him. I didn't see him.
32:51So I asked him, why did you leave the church? He says, if I was to tell you why you wouldn't believe me or you get upset.
33:00I'm like, huh? Now, I'm putting all these pieces together and I'm processing conversations with Cameron, conversations between me and Danny.
33:16Mary Cosby is my first cousin. One day, Cameron had called me. He says, what I'm going to tell you,
33:24I'm only telling you because I'm fearing for my life. And if anything happened to him, he wanted his story out.
33:42At the end of the day, like I told you, my goal is to protect my family. I'm trying to make sure I don't go down on her shit.
33:48That's why I was calling her. I'm like, okay. But that's what I want to know because I'm an associate with Mary.
33:56So am I okay? Go ahead, talk. So then Cameron just started spilling the beans, started opening up and just telling me everything.
34:07According to Cameron, Mary went to Cameron's house.
34:14Mary started asking Cameron if he'll put on this music.
34:19They come sit by each other.
34:22And Mary grabs Cameron's hand and starts rubbing her.
34:30And according to Cameron, he put his hand in her vagina.
34:38And I said, what? And then I said, then what? You know, now I'm inquiring. What happened? What happened? Is that it?
34:45And he says, and then we had sex.
34:52I asked him, does anybody else know the truth of what you guys have been doing?
34:57And he told me that, yes, Ernie knows.
35:04I said, what?
35:06He said, me and Mary had an affair.
35:09I said, this is crazy.
35:10What about the ministry?
35:12What is going on with that?
35:15These people are ministers.
35:17They're supposed to be preaching.
35:18According to Cameron, he was contacted by the Real Housewives of Salt Lake.
35:42Because apparently, he and Lisa Barlow were some type of acquaintances.
35:48They said, there's this thing going on.
35:50They're looking for a woman to do the Real Housewives of Salt Lake.
35:53He said, I know one person.
35:55And he was referring to Mary.
35:57According to Cameron, he calls Mary.
36:00And she jumped on it.
36:01Oh, I want to do it.
36:04Oh, my God.
36:04Please do this.
36:06You know, please hook me up.
36:07I would love to do this.
36:12Cameron set Mary up with Real Housewives of Salt Lake in his own exact words.
36:19So that the people can see for themselves who she is and what she's about.
36:24Your understanding from Cameron is that he placed her on housewives in order to expose her.
36:35They'll beat you down until they get what they want from you.
36:37Is that why you mortgaged your house?
36:39Yes, that is exactly why I mortgaged my house.
36:41Oh, wow.
36:41They wrap your entire life around a single idea as though it is the difference between heaven and hell for you.
36:50On the show, Cameron admits that he took a second mortgage out on his home in the amount of $300,000 and gave it to Mary.
37:03That was a huge revelation.
37:09He mortgaged his house and gave her $300,000.
37:12Cameron has had extreme religious trauma being a member of her church.
37:16I felt it.
37:16I cried with him.
37:17I believe him.
37:19Do I think it's appropriate for the first lady of the church to have an affair and then have him hand over $300,000?
37:27It's more than inappropriate.
37:29I've never heard of anything like this before.
37:31Ever, ever, ever.
37:33I think about somebody like me.
37:35No family here.
37:36No real friends.
37:37I had nothing.
37:38And I'm just in this town.
37:40And Mary gives me everything.
37:41Most people get involved in mind control cults during situational vulnerabilities.
37:49So death of a loved one, breakup in a relationship, moving to a new city, state, or country that makes them off balance.
37:58It's a vulnerable moment where cult leaders can pounce.
38:03And they typically want to do a process of love bombing, which is emotional control.
38:20Cult leaders will do anything to get power, money, and sex.
38:25Including telling people the leader is God's agent on earth.
38:30I am.
38:31You're not him.
38:33I'm not him.
38:34Someone in the church started the prophecy that Mary is God.
38:42He felt that everything that he was doing was for God.
38:47I'm like, come on, Cameron.
38:50Are you serious?
38:52And he says, no, no, for real.
38:54That's what I thought.
38:56Here, this is a highly intelligent individual that worked for Goldman Sachs.
39:01How could he be such a fool to believe that Mary is God?
39:06You can call me a fool for believing.
39:08You can call me a fool for talking about Mary is God or messing with Mary like that.
39:12You know, you can say that, and I understand because I feel like a fool.
39:15I truly was manipulated.
39:17They say anyway, I'm embarrassed for myself.
39:21That's just funny.
39:23Cameron had actually come to Danny and basically wanted some support because he was scared to death.
39:29I mean, scared of this girl?
39:32Like, who is she?
39:32Like, he was coming to him almost like a safe haven and saying, what should I do?
39:37Help me.
39:39When Cameron died, I heard Mary said it was because he lied on her.
39:50People start saying God took him because he was talking about the church.
39:54These are antics they use.
39:55Mary Cosby, in the eyes of the Faith Temple Church.
40:03She is God.
40:06What?
40:07That's a church?
