00:00My gender and probably my age doesn't make people think that I'm saying something sensible.

00:05So I don't know how to come out of that.

00:07Display results, that's all.

00:09Gender, age, they all become irrelevant in front of performance.

00:16Who is the only person to receive a Nobel doubly?

00:22What she was like 104 years old when that happened.

00:25And that wasn't after all the waves of feminism and post-modernism.

00:33When was that happening?

00:34That was happening when the society and the culture were still more regressive than they are today.

00:41And you know the problems she faced in even getting properly educated.

00:44And yet, a Nobel laureate twice over.

00:47People may have their internal biases, but the external environment is pretty favorable to women.

00:53You are protected economically, legally.

00:57In fact, there is affirmative action.

00:59There is reservation as well of women in various spheres.

01:05A lot of what holds you back is internal.

01:10And we are not denying the fact that people have their biases and all that.

01:13There is deeply embedded sense of male superiority and those things.

01:21We understand that.

01:23But still, there is enough ammunition available for women to now fire.

01:29Even if the odds are still there, yet there is a lot of support as well.

01:35So focus on your performance.

01:38Focus on the results.
