00:00The story begins in 1989 when Kevin Flynn, who is the CEO of Emcom and known as the world's leading video game developer,
00:09is telling a story to his young son, Sam Flynn, in his bed.
00:14Flynn tells Sam that he had this big dream of a digital frontier, a digital world.
00:20He used to imagine what clusters of information looked like as they moved through the computer.
00:26Were they ships? Or maybe motorcycles?
00:28He wondered if the circuits resembled freeways.
00:32Flynn says he kept dreaming of a world he never thought he'd actually see.
00:37But then he tells Sam that one day, he actually got in.
00:42He saw that the grid was even more beautiful than he had ever dreamed,
00:46but also far more dangerous than he could have ever imagined.
00:51In that world, he met Tron, a brave warrior who fights for the users.
00:56Flynn and Tron worked together to build a new and advanced grid for all programs and users.
01:03Since Flynn couldn't stay there forever, he created a program in his own image that could think and act like him.
01:11He named him Clue, Codified Likeness Utility.
01:16Flynn, Tron, and Clue worked together to create a system where all information was free and open.
01:22Everything was perfect.
01:25But then Flynn tells Sam that something happened.
01:28Something extraordinary.
01:30A miracle.
01:31When Sam asks what that was, Flynn says he'll tell him next time, because he asked to go to work.
01:37Sam tells him he wants to go to the grid too.
01:41Flynn promises,
01:41As he leaves, he tells Sam to meet him at the arcade the next day, and says,
01:49We're always on the same team.
01:51Then, Kevin Flynn leaves on his motorcycle.
01:54Right after that, we see the news on TV the next morning.
01:58MCOM CEO Kevin Flynn has vanished.
02:01The news reports that after the death of Sam's mother, Flynn's behavior became obsessive regarding his work on the grid.
02:07The company board members immediately took control away from his partner, Alan Bradley, and refocused the company on profit.
02:16However, Alan Bradley maintains that Flynn didn't disappear, but is still pursuing his dream.
02:22Then, we jump straight to 20 years later.
02:25Sam Flynn, Garrett Hendel, is now 27 and is hacking the MCOM offices from the roof of a skyscraper.
02:32Sam, still rebelling against the corporate giant, pranks MCOM every year.
02:39This time, he hacks the MCOM servers and leaks their new operating system, MCOM OS12, free online for everyone.
02:48Security immediately chases after him.
02:51Sam performs a base jump off the building and lands perfectly on his motorcycle.
02:55After a high-speed chase, Sam manages to evade security, but shortly after, he is arrested for trespassing.
03:04Alan Bradley posts bail for Sam.
03:07Alan tells him that a message came through on his dad's old disconnected office pager.
03:12The message originated from Flynn's Arcade, which has been closed for 20 years.
03:17Alan strongly urges him to investigate.
03:20Sam is hesitant, but after thinking about his father, he decides to go to the arcade.
03:25Sam arrives at Flynn's Arcade, which is covered in dust.
03:29He finds a secret door behind the Tron game machine, leading down to a secret basement.
03:35In the basement, he discovers a large old computer system and a laser bay.
03:40Sam boots up his father's computer, and the screen shows Clue V2.0.
03:46Sam tries to check the files, and accidentally activates the digitizing laser, which surrounds him and pulls him into the grid.
03:53Sam falls into the grid, a world of neon lights and digital structures.
03:59Immediately, programs surround and capture him.
04:02He is taken to a derezing chamber, where his human clothes are stripped away,
04:06and he is fitted with a program outfit, identified by light lines on his suit.
04:12He is given his identity disc and sent to compete in the deadly games.
04:16First, Sam is thrown into disc wars, where he must fight programs using his disc to dereze, or destroy, opponents.
04:26Sam quickly learns the rules and uses his reflexes to win.
04:30After winning, he faces Rinsler, the grid's fiercest warrior, who is wearing black armor.
04:37Rinsler is easily defeating Sam.
04:39When Rinsler's disc hits his arm, blood leaks out.
04:43Rinsler is shocked, because programs don't bleed.
04:47Rinsler immediately realizes Sam is a user.
04:51Rinsler takes Sam to Clue.
04:54Clue looks exactly like a young, unaged Kevin Flynn.
04:58Clue recognizes Sam immediately, and demands his disc, but Sam refuses.
05:03Then, Clue sends him to compete in the far more dangerous light cycle games.
05:07Sam is given a light cycle, that leaves a solid light wall behind it.
05:13Sam barely survives the match, using his experience on a motorcycle.
05:18Finally, Clue himself enters the game to kill Sam.
05:21Just then, a mystery light runner car appears and creates a gap in the light wall, allowing Sam to escape.
05:29The driver of the light runner, Cora, rescues Sam and drives away, with Clue's guards chasing.
05:35Cora takes Sam toward the outlands of the grid, an area away from Clue's complete control.
05:42Cora is intensely curious about users in the real world.
05:46Then, Cora takes Sam to a secret hideout, where his father, Kevin Flynn, has been living in hiding for the past 20 years.
05:55Flynn sees Sam and greets him calmly.
05:57Sam is furious that his father abandoned him.
06:00Flynn explains to Sam that he created Clue to make a perfect system, but Clue's obsession with perfection
06:07made him see the spontaneous evolution of the ISOs, isomorphic algorithms, as an imperfection.
06:15Clue started the Purge, the ISO war, and derezed all the ISOs, and Cora is the last survivor.
06:22She was the miracle Flynn had spoken of.
06:24Flynn also reveals that Clue defeated Tron and reprogrammed him, turning him into Rinsler.
06:31Flynn has been hiding because Clue needs his master disk and a user, Sam, to open the portal to the real world.
06:39If Flynn were to leave, Clue would follow and destroy the human world in his pursuit of perfection.
06:46Sam ignores his father, saying he'll go to the portal and get them all out.
06:50Sam and Cora head towards the end-of-line club, hoping to meet the information broker, Caster, who can help them reach the portal.
06:59Caster, whose real name is Zeus, greets Sam and pretends to help, but he is a double agent who has betrayed them to Clue.
07:08Flynn realizes they are gone and follows them.
07:12Clue's guards raid the club.
07:14A big fight breaks out.
07:15During the chaos, Zeus steals Flynn's master disk and tries to make a deal with Clue.
07:21As they flee, Cora bravely steps forward to shield Sam from a light jet blast and is severely injured, with her arms starting to dereze.
07:30Zeus attempts to trade Flynn's disk to Clue, but Clue, who trusts no one, derezed Zeus in the entire club, taking Flynn's disk for himself.
07:40Sam and Flynn take the injured Cora and hide inside a solar sailor transport ship heading towards the portal.
07:49Flynn quickly uses the power of his disk to begin healing Cora.
07:53Along the way, their solar sailor is intercepted by Clue's warship.
07:57Cora volunteers to be a diversion, so Sam and Flynn can escape.
08:02Clue captures Cora and sends Rinsler to chase Sam and Flynn.
08:06Sam and Flynn take two light jets.
08:08Sam manages a daring infiltration of Clue's warship, rescues Cora, and steals Flynn's disk back.
08:16Sam, Cora, and Flynn, in three light jets, are chased by Clue and Rinsler towards the portal.
08:22Rinsler tries to stop Sam desperately, but in a crucial moment, Rinsler remembers his original identity as Tron.
08:29His suit's orange light turns blue.
08:32Tron slash Rinsler crashes his light jet directly into Clue's, and both fall into the sea of simulation below.
08:41Sam, Cora, and Flynn reach the portal, which is quickly closing.
08:47Just then, Clue arrives, having survived, and he still has a disk that looks like Flynn's.
08:53Clue declares that he has achieved perfection, and will now enter the real world to correct its chaos.
08:59Sam and Cora prepare to go through the portal.
09:03Clue is about to attack Sam, but Sam's father, Kevin Flynn, stops him.
09:08Kevin Flynn, using the power of his identity disk, merges himself with Clue.
09:13Since Clue was Flynn's digital duplicate, Flynn absorbs Clue.
09:17They both merge and cause a massive explosion.
09:20Flynn makes the ultimate sacrifice so his son and Cora can escape to the real world.
09:25Sam and Cora exit the portal, and arrive back in the real world.
09:30When Sam gets back to Flynn's arcade, he realizes he has Flynn's disk.
09:34Cora had switched the disks at the last moment to ensure the real one was safe.
09:39Sam uses the disk to create a backup of the entire grid system and deactivates it.
09:44The next morning, Sam meets Alan Bradley, and tells him he has decided to take control of MCOM,
09:50naming Alan the new chairman of the board.
09:53In the final scene, Sam and Cora, who is now fully human in the real world,
09:59ride off on Sam's motorcycle.
10:01Sam shows Cora the real world sunrise for the very first time.
10:05Sam show Cora.
10:12The final scene was around Sam's牛 each other an hour and time.
10:19On the right 편 with home.
10:21Sam shows Cora the historic new video depreciation.
10:24Sam shows Cora the real world uiterapeat, the 1 hour and time.
10:27Sam shows Cora 8 Louiseì–´ê°€ come to town in the real world.
10:30Sam shows Cora the real world without a educación,
