Russia launches massive overnight attack on Ukraine's Odesa, injuring six

Russian strikes on Ukraine's southern region of Odesa injured six people, including children, while multiple regions reported casualties. Ukrainian forces intercepted 101 of 127 drones.

00:00At least six people, including three children, have been injured following Russian strikes
00:07on the Ukrainian port city of Odessa.
00:10Ukrainian State Emergency Services said the strikes hit civilian and logistical infrastructure,
00:16as well as energy facilities.
00:19Footage showed a high-rise building on fire, with first responders evacuating residents.
00:25Four apartment complexes and 14 cars were damaged as a result of the strikes.
00:31The attack comes as leaders from Europe and Canada held talks on Tuesday on US-led peace efforts
00:37to end the nearly four-year war between Russia and Ukraine.
00:41Peace is on the horizon, but it is still far from a 100% certainty,
00:46said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a cabinet meeting.
00:50Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky then went on to announce plans on social media
00:55for upcoming meetings with officials from about 30 countries,
00:59dubbed the Coalition of the Willing,
01:01which support Kyiv's efforts to end the war with Russia on acceptable terms.
01:06National Security Advisors aimed to meet in Ukraine on the 3rd of January,
01:10followed by a meeting of the country's leaders three days later in France.
