More than one hundred thousand people have descended on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, for the thirty-eighth annual Woodford Folk Festival. It's the first time the event's been held without its beloved founder, but his legacy lives on through the music, art and people.

00:54But one familiar face not here is the late founder Bill Horitz.
00:59He died just weeks before the celebration.
01:02Bill was a pathological optimist.
01:04He couldn't see roadblocks.
01:06He just had incredible big ideas and dreams.
01:09He doesn't think in years or months or decades.
01:12He thinks in centuries.
01:14The next generation keeping his legacy alive and following in their favourite artists' footsteps.
