00:00Act of kindness can change a life.
00:02Africa isn't just a place, it's a force that humbles you the minute you arrive.
00:07A land that feels ancient, untamed, but full of purpose.
00:14We've tracked zebra through dust and thorn and tasted the reward over open flame.
00:19But the story doesn't stop with that hunt, because here, every day brings a new kind of mission.
00:25And not all of them include pulling a trigger.
00:28We came here to make memories, but we also came to make a difference.
00:33Today, we're headed into a small town to pick up school supplies.
00:36Not for us, but for kids who really need it.
00:40I'm Kyle Green. I travel the globe with my best friends hunting for wild game and dynamic conservation stories.
00:47Join us on our adventure as we escape the shackles of the modern world and gain a deeper understanding of where our food comes from.
00:54Welcome to the Greenway Outdoors.
00:58As far as the blue bags go, what do we put in them, who are we taking them to, and why?
01:13A lot of paper and scissors and sharpeners for the pencils and educating stuff, you know, so they can...
01:20School supplies.
01:21School supplies.
01:25We're going to get school supplies and all the things that will help and benefit people that don't have them otherwise.
01:30We want to have more people come and do the same thing.
01:33My name is Kyle, by the way. What's your name?
01:35My name is you.
01:36Very nice to meet you. What's your name?
01:38Flora.
01:38Very nice to meet you.
01:40Flora, I love that name.
01:41We won't put it in the bags until the end, but this is... we'll leave with them in here if that's okay.
01:47Perfect. I'll put it right here for now.
01:53When you look at, like, buying notebooks and pens and papers and stuff like that, it might sound like you're getting, like, socks for Christmas for kids,
01:59and they're not going to be happy about it, but the opportunity to learn and use this stuff is actually what excites the kids most.
02:05Probably just after the candy, so it's actually what they want.
02:08Thank you for your help. Appreciate it very much.
02:12So, pens and paper. Thank you.
02:13I'm taking coloring books for them, so they can color in with that.
02:18Love it.
02:18I'm going to get a couple of the classic children's Bibles.
02:26We've just spent about $265 American.
02:32I think this would have been probably around $800, something like that, in the States, maybe $650 at the least.
02:39It was awesome.
02:41Absolutely.
02:43Absolutely.
02:44Thank you very much.
02:45Very happy to.
02:46Thank you for your time.
02:47Thank you for your help.
02:47Thank you for everything.
02:50Bye, donkey.
02:51We'll see you later.
02:53Bye.
02:54Bye-bye.
02:56It was kind of special how those ladies were, like, they were very standoffish in the beginning,
03:00but then once we spent some time with them and they knew what it was for, they were, like, loving and caring and grateful.
03:06The last stop took us to a grocery store to pick up candy, snacks, and toiletries for the kids.
03:13Yeah, I would like to do toothbrushes.
03:15My aunt would be very proud.
03:16She's a dental hygienist.
03:18And if I got them this and no toothbrushes, I'd probably get hurt for that.
03:22Is hygiene important to the kid?
03:23Like, not necessarily the kid, but do they have a lot of hygiene options?
03:27No, they don't have all hygiene options.
03:29You know, some of them don't even have warm water to bath and take warm showers.
03:34Right.
03:35Facing the reality of what these kids live with every day was humbling.
03:39They don't have access to warm water, let alone soap.
03:43So we decided to load up on hygiene supplies.
03:46At checkout, we were met with more smiling faces.
03:49Kind, energetic women who joked with us, laughed with us, and thanked us for helping their community.
03:54I know I'm missing something.
04:00Perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect.
04:02Well, it was nice meeting all of you.
04:04Have a very blessed day.

04:25And by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's.
04:28Your adventure starts here.
04:33Welcome back to the Greenway Outdoors.
04:35We are in South Africa.
04:37So far, we've picked up toiletries, school supplies, and a few treats for underprivileged kids.
04:43But the most important thing we can give them is protein.
04:46Their diet mostly consists of grits, which is cheap and filling, but lacking in the nutrients growing kids really need.
04:54Meat is a luxury here, but clean organic protein can make a real difference.
04:59We already have a zebra, but we want to see what else we can bring to donate.
05:03Tommy has a great spot picked out near a watering hole that attracts game from miles away.
05:10So we're going to build a blind for Jeffrey overlooking the watering hole.
05:14You know, we take it for granted in the States.
05:16I can just run to Bass Pro Shop and buy a blind.
05:19But in this situation, they have to use the land and what's here.
05:22So, you want to blind, you better start cutting brush.
05:25What are you hot, Dan?
05:49Bro, you guys call this your winter?
05:53This is like more than our summer for sure.
05:56Like, this is hot.
05:58Does it get any cooler?
06:00Yeah, well, I think there's coming a cold pump coming up probably another two days.
06:04Oh, good.
06:05It might.
06:05It's going to drop two degrees.
06:06Yeah, it might go below 90.
06:07So, the makeshift blind is going to have wire going from here to here to here.
06:22So, you're going to have a big, basically, blocker, water sources down that way, and then
06:27we'll fill it with brush.
06:28So, these two wires will kind of act as our wall, and then we're going to put brush all
06:37along it to block us.
06:44This reminds me of duck hunting.
06:47In the States, we make blinds all the time like this because you need brush blinds when
06:51you're in the swamps.
06:58Hey, guys, welcome to Greenway Cribs.
07:00I want to show you around the pad.
07:02We're just moving in right now, and it's spacious.
07:06You know, we've got a hole in the ground for a toilet.
07:08Love that.
07:09This bush blind cost 400,000 Rand.
07:13Which equals?
07:15Like $20,000.
07:17Oh, I think we, well, we were balling on a budget.
07:20$20,000 maybe a little bit on the high end, but we went with like a green theme, but in
07:24all reality, we've got a nice hole here overlooking the water.
07:27And my hope is that we're going to have either a kudu or an eland or something like that come
07:32in, and we'll sit out here all day.
07:34The bugs are a little rough, but at least it's winter and not summer here.
07:44Once the blind was completed, we went back to the lodge to cool off and wait for the golden
07:49hour when animals would be on the move.
07:51Once the time came, Dolph and Jeff got settled into the Chateau Le Greene hunting blind and
07:57waited for their opportunity.
07:59It did not take long.
08:03There's two of them.
08:04Those aren't blue.
08:05Those are, those are golden wildebeest.
08:08Shoot one in the back.
08:09There's one standing in the back.
08:11You have to shoot one in the back.
08:12It's going to go to the right, and then you can shoot it.
08:14Oh.
08:27And I'm back in the, in the fifties and sixties in Botswana.
08:30My granddad come from there.
08:32And, um, yeah, they, they shot all the golden ones out.
08:35They thought it was like something wrong with them or something.
08:38And there was a guy, I think it was in the 60s, 65s, and they, they caught a few of them
08:44and they started bedding with them.
08:46Now, a lot of people got them and they brought them back again, you know, so that's a good
08:50thing.
08:50I would be surprised to see these surviving in the wild.
08:53You can just imagine there's been little ones and there's one, one like this, an odd
08:57looking one, you know, a lion and a leopard will go for something like this.
09:01Yeah.
09:01Then you go for the sick one, the slow one.
09:03Yes, yes.
09:04The bright colored one.
09:04Exactly.
09:05The Greenway Outdoors is brought to you by Ram Trucks.
09:10Nothing stops Ram.
09:11And by Bass Pro Shop and Cabela's.
09:14Your adventure starts here.
09:17Eagle Fishing, tactical fishing gear for the savvy angler.
09:21On X Hunt, know where you stand with the number one hunting app.
09:24Sea-Doo, live the Sea-Doo life.
09:28This is a Greenway Outdoors exclusive conservation story brought to you by Ram Trucks.
09:34For nearly a century, hunters have led the charge in conservation.
09:38And today, that work continues.
09:40I met up with Mike Clements to learn how to make hen houses for mallard ducks.
09:46Most birds will make their own nests.
09:48Mallards do not.
09:49So you got to give them everything they need to have.
09:51So what do they do in nature then if they don't have this?
09:53They find objects to live up in.
09:55So a popular one is trees that are blown over.
09:58This is way better than the house that they don't have currently.
10:01Yes.
10:04If I had one thing to teach people, it's like when hunters hunt, they put in money and they
10:09do conservation work, which creates habitat and better circumstances for game.
10:14The numbers go up.
10:15They harvest the surplus.
10:16But there's bigger and healthier populations because of it.
10:19Welcome back to the Greenway Outdoors.
10:27In Africa, every hunt isn't just a trophy.
10:31It's a lifeline.
10:32Jeff's wildebeest provided 185 pounds of meat for our donation.
10:37My zebra added another 215 pounds, giving us a combined total of 400 pounds of high-quality
10:44protein.
10:44It's a strong start, but Tommy's gut tells him we'll need at least 600 pounds in order
10:50to feed every child and family that we plan to visit.
10:53And falling short is not an option.
10:55A kudu or an eland could put us well over the mark.
10:59And while Jeff was harvesting his wildebeest, Tommy and I were already writing the next chapter
11:04in our own hunt.
11:08We're on our way to the piece of property that Tommy has access to.
11:14And it's just exciting to see all the different animals.
11:20There's the one on the left.
11:22Left?
11:23Yes.
11:23That's a big one.
11:25Are they both males?
11:27Yes, both as males.
11:29These two mature kudu bulls were exactly what we were looking for.
11:34And this is the ultimate situation.
11:37The kudu are distracted eating leaves off the tree, and they have no idea that we're there.
11:44He's eating leaves.
11:45He's not giving me a shot.
11:47Okay, there you go.
11:48On the shoulder.
11:54I just need him to turn a little bit.
11:59There it is.
12:00There you go.
12:02Are you late?
12:03Are you late?
12:04He's down.
12:07No, that's down.
12:08He's a great shot.
12:09I'm shaking afterwards.
12:11No, he's done.
12:13Good shooting, man.
12:21I've never seen one up close before.
12:24It's like a dream come true, Tommy.
12:25Yeah, for sure.
12:26We've got a saying, how I grew up, is God bless this animal.
12:43You know, so if you look at it here, and you put your three fingers on that three white spots there,
12:48and God bless this animal.
12:51Oh, I see.
12:51You understand, that's his fingerprints, and then he blazed this animal for us.
12:56Yeah.
12:56I love that.
12:57Yeah.
12:59It's something that I grew up with my dad, and that's what we think about it.
13:03And yeah.
13:05Mm-hmm.
13:06It's special.
13:06It's very special.
13:07The Greenway Outdoors is brought to you by Ram Trucks.
13:12Nothing stops Ram.
13:14And by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's.
13:17Your adventure starts here.
13:20LEM game processing equipment.
13:22Wilderness Athlete, fuel for the rugged.
13:25Rufus Teague, seasoning, sauces, and snacks.
13:29Ski-Doo, experience that Ski-Doo feeling.
13:33Summit Tree Stance, hunting elevated.
13:35Blokes, modern men's health.
13:42Welcome back to the Greenway Outdoors.
13:45From the dense woods to the open fields, we have harvested enough kudu, zebra, and wildebeest meat to surpass our 600-pound goal,
13:54which is enough to feed every child and family we plan to help.
13:58But this mission was never just about the hunt.
14:01Earlier in the week, we filled carts with school supplies, food, and essentials.
14:05Now, it's time to deliver them.
14:07And to see the faces of the kids that make every minute of this journey worth it.
14:12We're on our way to the school right now.
14:14We're just a few minutes away.
14:16And I feel, like, kind of nervous but excited at the same time.
14:19But it's not lost on me that it's a big deal that we're taking these bags and these supplies to these kids as well as meat for their family so they'll have food to eat.
14:28But I don't want this to be about me.
14:31And I want to make sure it's known that so many hunters and so many incredible people at SEI, people like Tommy, hunters that have come here, have done this long before I have.
14:41This is my first time.
14:43I deserve absolutely no credit.
14:45The people that have set up this program to do it are the ones that deserve the credit.
14:48So I want to humbly go in and just be grateful for the opportunity to interact with these kids, tell them a little bit about Jesus, give them food for their families, and just love on them a little bit.
14:58Because the people that have done this before me, they're the ones that set all this up.
15:12Hello, hello, hello.
15:13Hello.
15:15Hi.
15:16How are you?
15:18I brought a lot of presents for all of you.
15:23We brought lots of fun stuff.
15:25We started out by handing over the school supplies to the teachers.
15:31Well, you know what's more fun than that?
15:33Coloring books.
15:35So we've got coloring books.
15:37Yes.
15:38Tommy and Jeff frantically filled up the soccer balls and handed them out.
15:42You're very welcome.
15:45You're very welcome.
15:47You're welcome.
15:48It came as no surprise that the biggest reaction of the day came from the candy and treats.
15:54You're up.
15:57Here you go, princess.
16:04I don't think these kids are going to learn anything else.
16:08No, no.
16:08We are learning soccer and candy today.
16:10Sugar and...
16:11Yeah.
16:11Yes.
16:11Do you have a good day?
16:20No, no, no.
16:24I want you to have it.
16:26One of the things that keeps happening is the kids keep giving me back the candy.
16:29No, I want you to have it. I want you to have it.
16:32They keep wanting to give me something now, and that's what they have to give.
16:37Hello. How are you? How are you?
16:41Hello. Hello. Hi.
16:44Did you guys have a good day? Good day?
16:48Good day?
16:49Good day.
16:59Good day. I eat my breakfast. I take my bath. And I go to the room. And I go to the room.
17:07Woo!
17:08Woo!
17:11Thank you!
17:12Thank you. Can you tell them two things for me? Tell them Jesus loves them, and they can
17:16be anything they want to be when they grow up.
17:19We have a police, doctor, nurse, lawyer, soldier, patient designer, civil engineer, a lot of things.
17:42Yes. Yes. Yes. Anything you want.
17:46Anything you want.
17:47Yeah. Yes. And teachers especially are good. And remember that.
17:55In this episode, we harvested over 600 pounds of wild game meat. Enough for every child at
18:01that little school to take home a large bag to share with their families. Seeing their
18:06faces, their excitement, their joy, it made something inside me shift. As I looked into
18:12the eyes of those kids, I couldn't help but see my nieces. The same spark, the same
18:17innocence, the same need to be loved, protected, and provided for. In that moment,
18:22it hit me. All children really are the same, no matter where they're born. And when you feel
18:27that truth, you can't help but love them. You can't help but want to do something. It felt
18:32incredible to give them food and supplies, to watch them light up over soccer balls and
18:38candy. But I also knew something deeper. That meat would last maybe two or three days. Then the hunger
18:44would return. That's when I thought about the words of Jesus. When he sat beside a well and spoke to a
18:50woman who was searching for something more. He told her, anyone who drinks this water will
18:56soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes
19:04a fresh bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life. That verse stayed with me as we handed
19:10out Bibles alongside the food. Because while a meal can satisfy for a day, God's word can nourish a soul
19:18for a lifetime. We came here to feed bodies, but more importantly, we came to plant seeds. Seeds of hope,
19:26of faith, and of truth.
