00:00Tampa Bay Buccaneers, interesting ball club here.
00:02Baker Mayfield at quarterback, plethora of wide receivers,
00:05Bucky Irving at running back, Todd Bowles as your defensive coordinator,
00:08head coach.
00:09Looked like they would easily win this division, I don't know,
00:11seven or eight weeks ago.
00:12Then they decided to go, I believe, Joe, one and seven down the stretch,
00:15which they win one more game there.
00:17They just walk away in the playoffs, and away they go.
00:19They weren't able to get it done.
00:20But understand this.
00:22The Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play at 4.30 p.m.
00:25on Saturday, East Coast time.
00:27That line opened up around three and a half.
00:29It now sits at two and a half at most outlets, with a total around 44 and a half.
00:33We were led to believe all along that, hey, Carolina, Tampa Bay, doesn't matter.
00:37The winner of this game is going to win that division and move on.
00:39No longer the case.
00:40Why?
00:41Because the Atlanta Falcons want to continue to win football games,
00:43and they could mess up the actual algorithm of who actually wins tiebreakers.
00:48Ari Mirov last night tweeted out after the game with the Atlanta Falcons
00:51that upset the Los Angeles Rams.
00:53The Panthers-Bucs game on Saturday is no longer a win and end game for Tampa Bay.
00:58Even if the Bucs win this game, the Panthers would still take the division if the Falcons
01:04beat the Saints on Sunday, which could realistically happen.
01:08Amazing stuff here now, Joe.
01:10Look at that.
01:11The Falcons holding the cards on the NFC South?
01:14Donnie, the whole NFC South is the weirdest thing I have ever seen in my life.
01:22You have the Falcons sitting at 7-9 who are going to take on the 6-10 Saints.
01:29Both of them are eliminated from playoff contention, yet both, Donnie,
01:33I can make the argument, are better football teams right now than the Buccaneers and the Panthers,
01:40and that both of those teams would be better off in the playoffs than either the Bucs or the Panthers in this one.
01:47It is the absolute weirdest thing.
01:50But, listen, it won't matter.
01:52Carolina wins Saturday, then there's not a whole lot of juice.
01:54But how lucky is the NFL again?
01:58I mean, they just lucked their way into more chaos that could possibly happen here,
02:04heading into Week 18, a week in which we all shrug our shoulders and be like,
02:09what, this is just awful.
02:10And yet, here we go.
02:12More chaos, more possibilities of chaos.
02:14They just keep lucking into this with that Falcons win last night.
02:18As a 7-1⁄2 point dog, they have just completely turned it all upside down.
02:23Now we have to watch these awful games, Donnie.
